Asylum: the wages of ignorance

Saturday 22 August 2015

000a Telegraph-022 migrants.jpg

Any respect we ever had for The Daily Telegraph long drained away, to be replaced by a slow-burning contempt for the editors and proprietors who let a once-proud title degenerate in the way it has.

A milestone in its descent to the bottom, however, must be its latest editorial on the asylum crisis, with the accompanying authored piece by Nigel Farage which jointly and severally demonstrate the profound ignorance of the newspaper team and the Ukip leader on this issue.

Addressing first the Telegraph piece, we have the editorial note that Germany is now expected to receive 800,000 asylum seekers in 2015, describing this as part of “Europe’s migrant crisis” which, it says, “has reached astonishing proportions”.

Although not technically wrong, it is not helpful to call this a migrant crisis. We are dealing here with asylum seekers, many of whom after processing will be declared refugees. Some others will be afforded leave to remain on human rights grounds, while the others will be considered economic migrants. Some of those will be deported. Others will disappear into the population and become illegal immigrants.

Effectively, therefore, there is a refugee crisis. And within that is an exacerbating factor of economic migrants piggy-backing on the refugee flow, making two separate but linked problems. But neither of them are migrant crises as such. To define them in this way is completely to misrepresent the problems – and therefore obscure the solutions.

This, though, is the least of it, as far as the Telegraph goes, for it then goes on to assert that the arrival of these people is precipitating in Germany a greater awareness “of the desperate flaws in the way that the EU handles its utopian promise of the free movement of people”.

Such an assertion is bizarre – bizarrely wrong. The flow of asylum seekers to Germany has nothing whatsoever to do with the EU’s treaty provision of free movement of people, which applies only to citizens of the EU Member States (and EEA states), and then within the external borders.

What we are dealing with here is something completely different – in law and fact – the effect of the 1951 Geneva Convention on Refugees, and the 1967 Protocol, together with the adoption of its provisions in the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights, which also makes asylum seeking a human right.

No sensible or knowledgeable writer could possibly consider an information piece without mentioning this. But then this is the Telegraph, whose task in life seems to be to misinform its readers and parade its own ignorance.

Free movement, it asserts, “seemed attractive and logical during the Cold War, when western Europe was more isolated from the world’s poor by the Iron Curtain”. It then tells us: “But in the 21st century, poverty and war have driven millions to seek a new life within an expanded EU”.

The irrelevance of this is obvious – “free movement” isn’t the problem. Except the Telegraph says it is. Then building on its error, it declares: “The problem has been exacerbated by two policies. One is the Dublin Convention which states that the responsibility for asylum seekers lies with the country in which they first arrive”.

As a small aside, the Dublin Convention ceased to be in 2003 – to be replaced by the Dublin Regulations. But the problem, the newspaper argues, is that in recent years those countries have been Italy, Hungary and Greece – and they have simply been overwhelmed.

But this is an over-simplification to the point of distortion. One of the first receiving countries was Spain, which has evaded its international obligations by building fences and virtual barriers, then to divert the flow elsewhere. As Greece, then Bulgaria and now Hungary follow suit, EU asylum policy has become a grotesque game of “pass the parcel”, with Italy, Malta and Greece ending up having to deal with the bulk of asylum seekers.

What then happens is that these countries are failing to fulfil their EU responsibilities. Instead of registering and processing the incomers – and deporting those who do not qualify as refugees – they are allowing them to pass on to other member states – and especially Germany and Sweden, where they are applying for asylum de novo.

The Telegraph claims that, in so doing, the receiving countries are exploiting “the second flaw in the EU’s approach: the Schengen Agreement, which commits its signatories to passport-free movement across borders”.

Italy, Hungary and Greece, we are told, have been permitting, or even quietly inviting, their asylum seekers to relocate to other countries. Enormous numbers have gone to Germany. The Germans have embraced refugees as atonement for the sins of the Second World War. But 800,000 is a figure to trouble even the most bleeding-heart liberal.

Once again, this is completely to misunderstand the nature of the problem for, even before Schengen, border controls had been removed. Were they to be reinstated, all that would happen is that – as we’ve already pointed out, those seeking recognition of their refugee status would simply apply for asylum at the border posts. Schengen is a complete red herring.

Needless to say, the Telegraph isn’t alone in getting things wrong. Politicians throughout the continent are failing to understand the effects of their own policies, but somehow one expects more from a pompous “know-it-all” newspaper which holds itself up as the authority on such matters.

Its pomposity knows now bounds, where it grandly but wrongly declares that the “EU essentially exists to regulate a free market”. Is failings, it asserts, “mock the grand claims that it makes for itself – betraying a reality of incompetence and, where it leads to humanitarian crisis, such as in the Mediterranean, moral failure”. But in this case, the ignorant speaks unto the incompetent, when the paper completely misdiagnoses the problem and ends up telling us: “The EU needs to get its borders in order”.

With the display of such ignorance, it is only fitting that it should then go on to give space to the malign bigotry of Mr Farage, who seems determined to drag us down to his level, and wreck any chances of winning the EU referendum, by declaring that “immigration” will be the defining issue of this EU referendum campaign.

There is no excuse for this quite deliberate elision of immigration and asylum – two entirely separate issues, with their own bodies of law and policy domains.

Alarmingly though. Farage is picking up on an Ipsos Mori poll which has half of the public identifying “immigration” as one of the biggest issues facing the UK. This is something which the polling company itself should not have recorded, as it too is mixing up disparate issues.

Needless to say, Farage exploits the confusion, as he has always done, associating the flood of asylum seekers and would be refugees with the European Union “open border” policy.

Despite the fact that refugees account merely for five percent of entrants to this country in any one year, we have the Ukip leader milk the publicity, building this entirely separate issue into one singularity – all under the heading of “immigration”. Thus he says:

We see the chaos in Calais, where thousands of migrants are risking their lives to get from France to Britain; we see refugees in their thousands risking life and limb as they cross the Mediterranean on ships sailing from Libya. And we see that the issue of open borders and mass immigration is no longer simply an issue of social problems and the impact on British workers, it is fast becoming one of national security.

To resolve this, the fool declares that the British people “want an Australian-style immigration policy that allocates work permits to those our economy needs, that says no to those whose skills we do not need, and that gives an emphatic denial of entry to those we have any suspicion want to do us harm” – as if that would have the slightest effect on the flow of asylum seekers.

Matching the Telegraph for its ignorance, he then writes of witnessing “the failed policy of the EU’s open borders, supported by the establishment politicians to the detriment of our nation”. When the referendum comes, Farage concludes, the British people will finally have their chance to reject these open borders by saying “no” to the European Union.

But all Farage is doing is holding us hostage to fortune. Despite his own manifest ignorance on the subject – and despite the lacklustre performance of the Telegraph, in the two years to the referendum, there is plenty of time for people to learn of the real issues behind the asylum crisis.

The danger for us is that they will turn against the likes of Farage, offering false nostrums and exploiting the misery of others for his own political ends. Elsewhere we have written of the hazards of promoting misinformation, citing Gene Sharp, who tells is: “Claims and reporting should always be strictly factual. Exaggerations and unfounded claims will undermine the credibility of the resistance”.

This is a lesson Farage is incapable of learning – and doubtless one of the reasons why he is such a failure as a politician. But there is no reason why we should let his ignorance drag us down.

Below is the Telegraph article in full – showing just how self serving and lightweight the populism of the article is and just how misleading and lacking in solution such an approach can be when personal ambition and ego get in the way of competent journalism in what was once respected as a serious newspaper!

Clearly when Britain leaves the EU rthere will be little or no change to our border controls if we hope to continue trading with EU partners and the rest of the world. We must remember that in a fragile balance we, like every other nation on this planet, enter into grown up arrangements with eachother that have little or nothing to do with the EU who merely re-write them in the jargon of the ENARCHS and pass them on to the vassal states of the EU. The laws themselves are made by world bodies like the UN, WTO, CODEX, Davos and a raft more.

It is unsurprising that people have lost sight of this and rather childishly believe when we leave the EU all our ills will be solved but what is more concerning is that supposedly responsible newspapers are willing to pander to this populist and extrermely irresponsible myth!

One reason the media may well be peddling this level of misunderstanding may well be in a venal self interest to apease advertisers or in the likes of the BBC to apease their benefactors in the EU who provide them with free studios and journalistic access with the jam on their bread and butter provided by multi Million Pound loans to featherbed their grossly over generous incomes and lack of real imvestigative journalism beyond the knickers, vicars and the odd bent political or police figure level! grants they receive.

Another great snag is the fact that the halls of academe are seeded with many 100s of so called ‘Erasmus’ professorships and student scholarships all in real terms funded from the propaganda budget of the EU. It is from amongst these EU funded organisations that much of the spin is provided, not least by quotes supplied to businessmen by their EU employers and founded on little more than the dirst aim to keep the entire, largely failed, EU project staggering forward – Let the Greeks or for that matter the Portuguese, Irish, Italians and Spaniards, or even in rare moments of honesty, the French tell you of the success of the EU economic policy and membership of the EUro which is crippling EUrope as it slithers forward on a bed of lies, bribes and bullying!

In very simple terms the EU is not even prepared to admit the fact that all are aware of Greece will NEVER be able to pay off its current debts let alone interest and essential future borrowing their GDP can not and never will sustain such debts. When you consider the levels of dishonesty that have created this misery is it any wonder that politicians working in that system will say almost anything to hang onto their grossly inflated incomes, bribes and expenses – as you will note in the Telegraph article below!

The EU will have to control its borders

Telegraph View: The arrival of 800,000 asylum seekers in Germany makes a mockery of the EU’s immigration policies. Free movement without passports will,

Free movement seemed attractive and logical during the Cold War, when western Europe was more isolated from the world’s poor by the Iron Curtain. But in the 21st century, poverty and war have driven millions to seek a new life within an expanded EU. The problem has been exacerbated by two policies. One is the Dublin Convention which states that the responsibility for asylum seekers lies with the country in which they first arrive. In recent years those countries have been Italy, Hungary and Greece – and they have simply been overwhelmed.

To alleviate this problem they have exploited the second flaw in the EU’s approach: the Schengen Agreement, which commits its signatories to passport-free movement across borders. Italy, Hungary and Greece have been permitting, or even quietly inviting, their asylum seekers to relocate to other countries. Enormous numbers have gone to Germany. The Germans have embraced refugees as atonement for the sins of the Second World War. But 800,000 is a figure to trouble even the most bleeding-heart liberal.

German politicians have called for greater integration of asylum policy across the EU, including higher refugee quotas among all members, though how that would work with open borders is a mystery. Some regional officials have called for controls between nations to be reinstated. France and Austria have tried closing their borders with Italy, sending those without the right papers back. In Calais, after weeks of chaos, a deal has been signed between the French and the British to deal with a sometimes violent crisis. Thomas de Maizière, Germany’s interior minister, has acknowledged that the very principle of free movement is suddenly up for debate. “We want free movement of people,” he said, “but… the question is what does free movement of people mean in Europe?”

A Polish lorry driver opens his vehicle to find migrants from Eritrea hiding inside at a lorry park at the port of Calais A Polish lorry driver opens his vehicle to find migrants from Eritrea hiding inside at a lorry park at the port of Calais in September Photo: Geoff Pugh/The Telegraph

The answer is probably that free movement will remain for citizens of the EU but that there will have to be a much tighter enforcement for anyone who falls outside of that definition. This belies the EU’s self-image as a liberal, internationalist project. In reality, it is protectionist and will probably have to engage in the variety of conservative policies normally associated with Australia. There does need to be an aggressive crackdown on people smuggling. Asylum applications ought to be lodged and processed in countries outside of Europe. And those seeking asylum from within the EU will have to be swiftly deported if their claim is rejected.

The EU essentially exists to regulate a free market. At Calais it has failed: the free movement of people has been stymied by the migrant crisis. In Germany, poor control of the continental border has led to a population explosion that may prove grist to the mill of extremist parties who want to destroy the EU altogether. In other words, the failings of the EU mock the grand claims that it makes for itself – betraying a reality of incompetence and, where it leads to humanitarian crisis, such as in the Mediterranean, moral failure. The EU needs to get its borders in order.

With an avg. 1.2M voters per MEP & Britain having only 8%, if united, say. The EUropean Parliament has no ability to make policy and has a Commission of unelected bureaucrats, thus clearly the EU is not even a pretence of being a democracy; yet it is willing to slaughter people in Sovereign States to impose democracy on them!
The imposition of a Government and policies upon its vassal regions such as the peoples of Greece shows just how far from being a democracy the EU is.There will be little or no change in Britain’s economic position, when we leave the EU and by then being a part of the Eropean Economic Area all will benefit, as we secure trade relations with the EU vassal regions and can trade and negotiate independently on a global stage.
One huge benefit will be that we can negotiate with bodies like the WTO, UN, WHO, IMF, CODEX and the like, directly in our own interest and that of our partners around the world in both the Commonwealth and the Anglosphere at large; rather than having negotiations and term imposed by unelected EU bureacrats.
The greatest change and benefit will be political, as we improve our democracy and self determination, with the ability to deselect and elect our own Government, which with an improved Westminster structure, see >Harrogate Agenda<.
How we go about the process of disentangling our future well being from the EU is laid out in extensive, well researched and immensly tedious detail see >FleXcit< or for a brief video summary CLICK HERE

FleXcit is born
Thank YOU Dr. Richard North

FLEXCIT Logo 01

Hi,

CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of the fully fledged offspring!

I appreciate all too well just what a prodigious amount of work has gone into the gestation period – now it can only be refined, sharpened and presented to patriots all over Britain to spread the word.

May I ask EVERYONE with a blog or web site to PLEASE place a link to this seminal document on their site, to help guide our future as we work (and it will be hard work) to restore & improve our democracy as an Independent Sovereign Nation free to trade globally and arrange our own affairs within the WORLD community rather than being fettered as vassals of the introspective and corrupt EUropean Union.

Moving as we can, as shown by FleXcit, towards Independent membership of the EUropean Economic Community with an option similar to Norway & Switzerland as global traders and leaders not followers – Once again Westminster as the seat of Government of these United Nations can provide the beacon in ethics and democratic values for the world to share and follow.

Thank YOU Richard for the huge amount of work YOU have done in the face of the sniping and sneering of those too besotted by cults to understand the view over the horizon.

The work starts now for the rest of us in our endeavours to raise the profile of FleXcit and spread the word that we can responsibly enact an EU eXit and Survival Strategy, honourably and responsibly.

“If the choice is to be a part of Europe [The EU] or take to the open sea”, then let us follow the advice of our greatest modern leader Sir Winston Churchill and take to the open sea!

Our lifeboat is clearly provided by FleXcit.

Regards,
Greg_L-W.

.
Hi,
it seems even The Sun has seen through the fraud that is Ukip, run as a one man band by a little man of much deceit and guile but no apparent integrity
FARAGE, Nigel 94 ORCHESTRATING A DEFECTION 01
As I have warned for many years not only does Ukip, after 22 years, have absolutely no sign of an ethical, responsible and viable EU eXit strategy but its absolute leader has zero vision for his cult or our Country beyond his own self interest.
Now it seems he is prepared to sell out Ukip for his own gain by trying to force an early referendum on IN?OUT of the EU when all informed sources appreciate that due to Ukip’s abject failure to show an ethical, viable EU eXit strategy and a clear informed and responsible vision for the future and Nigel Farage’s divisive incompetence as a leader who is not so much like ‘marmite’ but so corrupt and vindictive that he and his cult have built so many enemies they are assured that in a Referendum they would ensure Britain would remain in the EU.If the campaign to Leave_The_EU is fronted or managed from within the Werstminster Bubble or by a self selected clique of London based schmoozers approved by the Notting Hill set and the Tories who were the very people who got Britain embroiled in the EU Scam – IF this happens we WILL lose the referendum

Difficult as it clearly is, as The New Statesman has made clear for the less well informed, David Cameron is glad of the help of Nigel Farage in ensuring a referendum to Leave_The_EU would be lost as he has permitted such self serving snakes in the grass – the very Judas Goats who will lead Britain to the slaughter by permitting, due to the divisive actions of Ukip, members of the political Westminster bubble to front the No Campaign with a team of some of the best schmoozers and boot lickers to be found in the bubble, as they put forward the perceived wisdoms that will enhance their job and raise money to lead the Country to the slaughter.

It seems the self nominated Mathew Elliott, Business for Britain, Tax Payers Alliance and no doubt the self congratulatory Ian Milne (who has recently written a cut and paste boilerplate article on the motor industry without even considering how the industry functions with JIT and part sourcing!).Clearly with such inept Westminster bubble sycophants the aim is to ensure the Leave_The_EU campaign loses as would have the AV argument Mathew Elliott led had he not been rescued from his own incompetence!

As it stands at the moment not only do the polls show a referendum would be lost but that support for Leave_The_EU has dwindled as membership of Ukip and the Farage cult has grown!

As I have consistently warned the higher up the tree the monkey climbs the more you see its @rse, as Farage’s fan club has grown and his cult has received more exposure they have come under increased scrutiny and their faults, failures and internal endless squabbling and divisions have become ever more apparent.

It seems increasingly l;ikely that Gerard Batten and Nigel Farage are all too likely to be facing criminal charges shortly and there is every possibility Nigel Farage’s doxy the serial liar Annabelle Fuller will face criminal charges before the election comes or shortly after – charges that are almost bound to implicate Nigel farage in the light of her tel;ephone conversations with him in the early hours from Andrew Bridgen’s apartment when, as I understand Patrick O’Flynn has attested she ‘targeted’ Andrew Bridgen a Tory MP before admitting she had deliberately stolen his Blackberry phone device, his House of Commons Pass and confidential correspondence.

The Telegraphs self serving hagiography written for Nigel Farage based on the latest book he has had written about him not withstanding – some of the media are willing to expose the truth as with The Sun, as I mentioned earlier and show here:

The SUN 15-Mar-2015 02 page 29PLEASE – ENLARGE THE ARTICLE TO READ IT
.
Whilst on the subject it is worthy of note that no one with ANY understanding of the workings of our own Governance and the checks and balances of Parliament will realise that whoever was in Government and whatever their will and majority it would not be possible let alone possible or beneficial to have a referendum in 2015 as do not forget that a Bill to enable such a referendum would have to be passed first which would require debate, passing the House of Commons stages to go to the House of Lords where it would be likely to be heatedly debated as so many members of that place are funded by the EU and obliged by oath to serve the EU not Britain! Even when (IF) passed by the HoL it would then require ratification of any changes made and a vote in the HoC before final reading in the HoL before being put forward for Royal Assent – then there would be the administrative problems of public debate followed by organising the Referendum itself!

Only an irresponsible fool would risk Britain’s entire future on an over hastey Referendum and even the 2017 target is optimistic in the light of, as Cameron puts it ‘the moving parts’, do not forget the huge body of law that must be considered and the immense areas of international compliance that must be put in place to ensure the security of our trade with the rest of the world – not just the EU.

Let us not forget when we hear light weight pundits wittering about percentages of UK law that are dictated by the EU – they have virtually no idea what percentage of the law has been enacted to be compliant with the EU as we in Britain are obliged to comply with laws and terms handed down by such bodies as the WTO, WHO, UN, CODEX and many more international bodies that enable our global trade.

To blithly quote %s of law is to totally mislead, whether deliberately, dishonestly or in stupidity is entirely another point the largest single % of our laws are Road Traffic Acts, including closures for repair etc which are short term are these to be considered in %age terms when of so little relevance – what weighting is given tyo a single Law that has upto 100 scheduled parts relative to a couple of lines of law closing a road for laying a watermain?

It is clearly irresponsible to whip up/incite the electorate with such meaningless figures!

May I commend those with a serious intent to try to campaign to Leave_The_EU to first read FleXcit access to which can be found in the >Right Sidebar< of this blog or go directly to http://www.flexcit.org This will however expose you to some indication of the complexity of the aim to Leave_The_EU – a task which clearly has been over simplified by the more self serving individuals and organisations who seek to hide the truth for their own gain – Just where is the detailed work of the likes of IEA, Business For Britain, Ukip, Tax Payers Alliance, The Tories, Nigel Farage’s Cult, Ian Milne, Mathew Elliott, David Bannerman and the army of those within the Westminster Bubble seeking their own ends at the expense of OUR Country?

Before a Referendum the No Campaign must first ensure its representative committee is selected by the peoples of Britain not just appointed/anointed by the self same political elite who caused the EU disaster in the first place – then we need Regional Organisers firastly Region by Region, then County by County, City by City, Town by Town, Village by Village and Community by Community – not like a political party or cult that has its target areas but in every community in these United Kingdoms and beyond the mallign influence of politicians Unions and the like.

For this Referendum to be of ANY value it must be seen to be fair, equally and fully funded and without the interference and corruption by either politicians or the EU, and avoiding being misled by companies, corporations and other influences that draw their instructions from foreign sources as with Nissan of Sunderland who are a French franchise or most of the water companies and power suppliers who are similarly French, nor Siemens, British Gas, HSBC etc etc who are also foreign – one should not expect Councils to take a stance as they are there to represent the people not Bertelsmans nor themselves!

We must remember that we have laws in this Country that demand that schools and educational establishments shall NOT be politicised and thus teachers and the like have no part in this referendum, beyond their own votes.

Perhaps you start to understand the complexity of holding this referendum if it is to be binding and not the very source of an ongoing running sore that the EU has been due to the duplicity of its enactment and verification to date.

Greg_L-W..

Hi,
I am republishing this on this web site as it is increasingly clear that Nigel Farage’s Ukip cult is seemingly bereft of vision, management, organisation, gravitas, intellect or even the most rudimentary of policies that are plausible, workable or retionally costed.Further let us remember that after 22 years of Ukip ‘claiming’ to wish to Leave_The_EU they still have absolutely zero ethical, honourable, workable and costed EU eXit & survival strategy and even less signs of a worked out schedule of tactics!

The Harrogate Agenda Feb-2015.

The Harrogate Agenda – progress report February 2015.

Thomas Pain believed many things and high on the list was that ‘The People’ must be sovereign and that revolutions have to be led by them. This is as true now as it was in the 1700s.

So The Harrogate Agenda needs a ‘People’s Revolution’ in order for its Six Demands, for the better governance of this country, to gain traction.  It will only be when our politicians feel the pressure from the grass roots that they will start to endorse, promote and eventually, as the pressure grows, enact them.

Fortunately many of the foundations are in place, for willing people to start the work of steadily spreading our message, including our pamphlet which clearly sets out our Six Demands, and appropriate supporting DVDs and film clips.  Importantly one of the clips includes the edited film of Richard North’s Flexcit presentation, which sets out the ‘How and Why’ we should leave the EU.  It is to date the only honourable and workable exit and survival plan form the EU yet produced.

The Harrogate Agenda has always recognised that our demands can never be implemented while we are members of the political EU while accepting we should remain, for some time yet, as members of the Single Market.  Flexcit, when published, will contain a chapter on The Harrogate Agenda highlighting its real value which is that on leaving the EU and restoring our self government we will then be in a position to improve and reform our governance in line with our six demands.

Understanding that it is the system that is broken, and that no amount of effort to reform the old parties or indeed invent new ones, is going to change a thing, is something that individuals need to work out for themselves.  Sadly the evidence is that it does take time for this particular penny to drop and even when it does the next hurdle to overcome is an understanding that political change, of the sort we are advocating, takes time and a different approach from anything thus far seen or experienced.

Shortly after producing our pamphlet, (there are still some from the initial stock available to purchase) I drafted a simple plan to carry our message to the public, which involved a few early key players running regional workshops from which we would recruit ‘Ambassadors’ who would in turn run other workshops, working to a set programme which is duplicable, thus enabling the rolling stone to slowly gather more and more moss.

In truth Ambassadors have been hard to find and this is dictating the rate of our progress.  In addition to this there is currently a delay as we await the results of the General Election, to see which way the political wind is blowing in respect of the vital issue of a potential EU referendum.  If a referendum is on the cards for 2017 then our workshops will lead on Flexcit backed up by THA as a key advantage to us leaving the political EU. If not, we will reverse the order. The presentations for our workshops have already been successfully trialled so all we need now is to continue the roll out.

If this e-mail prompts anyone to considering taking our message to the grass roots then please get in touch.  However, rest assured we are not going away and will continue to make steady progress on the journey we have embarked on.  It is just that with a little more help we could go just a little bit faster.  If you can lend some assistance we will be immensely grateful.

Hi,

I take the liberty of basing this post on a blog written by Richard North which reads as follows:

UK politics: a brighter future?

Richard North, 02/01/2015

“As for Ukip”, says David Cameron, writing for the Daily Telegraph, “all they can deliver is Ed Miliband into Downing Street“. He goes on to say:

A vote for Ukip is a vote to prop up a failing Labour government – a government that would refuse to give people a referendum on Europe and that would take us back to the days of open-door immigration, an out-of-control welfare budget and a something-for-nothing society …

Then up pops an oft-repeated promise: Labour’s Human Rights Act would be scrapped, and thence for emphasis, Mr Cameron again tells us that: “an in-out referendum on Europe [will be] delivered”.

Needless to say, there is no reason to trust that Mr Cameron will keep his promises. But then trust is not an issue. Our best judgement is that, if he again reneged on a promise of a referendum, the Conservative party would rebel, and he would quickly be deposed as a leader.

Furthermore, come the 2020 general election, with no referendum having been delivered, the Conservative Party would be unelectable. Mr Cameron would have wiped out any chance of a further Conservative government for the foreseeable future.

But then, if you want to quibble, is Mr Cameron’s statement any more or less credible than this from Mr Farage?

Ukip is no longer seen as the “protest vote”, but rather as an opportunity to look outside the Westminster bubble for real solutions, devised by real people, with real life experience. We will fight the upcoming elections believing that our potential is still underestimated, and that the balance of power is within our grasp.

If you believe that, frankly, you will believe anything. But, of the two, I’m more prepared to take Mr Cameron at his word – not because I trust him, but because he’s boxed himself into a corner, and has no realistic option other than to deliver, if he again becomes prime minister after this year’s general election.

That notwithstanding, sooner of later, we are going to have a referendum. And the better prepared we are to fight the campaign, the better our chances are of winning it. Thus, whether or not Mr Cameron delivers on his promise, we should still be preparing for a referendum campaign.

And, with even greater emphasis, that’s what we’re going to be doing on this blog.

and even more specifically in response to his comment on his Forum:

All too often, the eurosceptics offer what amount to “lies” (i.e., untruths), which means that we end up trading lie with lie. It would be helpful if we could isolate the truth and then spread it.

  • Hi,

    perhaps lie is a little strong, as Enoch Powell made clear in his speech in the HoC, the EU was telling the truth but it’s sales force, in the form of paid hirelings like MEPs, MPs, broadcasters & Civil Servants were all too willing to obfuscate the truth with spin.

    Currently we have Cameron promising a referendum IF the Tories are returned with a majority and offering to resign IF he then does not deliver a referendum – an easy out from his promise, based not on lies but on obfuscation.

    I note that there seems no clarity of such a promise from any other political leader of consequence and Cameron’s promise seems in isolation in that none of the front runners for his job should he stumble and fall has either endorsed his promise or promised an EU IN/OUT Referendum of any clarity. In fact none of the front runners for the governance of OUR Country would seem to wish to hold a fair, informed and balanced referendum – each feeding the mill with grit rather than grain!

    Alternatively we have the spin and obfuscation of Ukip who after 22 years of ‘claiming’ to wish to Leave_The_EU are milking the tax payers for all they are worth through the EU bribe system and delivering nothing – not even aresponsible, honourable, clear EU eXit & survival strategy, in fact no strategy or plan whatsoever after 22 years!

    Ukip’s devotion to populism without proper policy is so well a trodden path it is risible. Consider Adolf Hitler, Oswald Moseley, both of whom sought to blame outsiders and to thus sweep the gutters of politics choosing unsavoury allies and ill informed supporters over responsible researched policies of substance and gravitas and they like Nigel Farage were also pronounced man of the year, in 1938 & 1934 respectively.

    That The SNP, Plaid and the Greens are trolling the same pool dependent on ignorance for their support and transient achievements casts a sad light on the body politic, where Ukip’s good fortune has been enhanced by gathering in the support of BNP members, even their deposed leader Nick Griffin, and supporters now they have collapsed leaving Ukip as the most clearly racist party left with which to protest. Much as Hitler’s early battle was with the Communist Party in Bavaria, a battle he won by denouncing the Jews, Gypsies and disabled – just as Ukip do regarding Romanians, Bulgarians, Roma and other immigrants!

    The difficulty faced by those of us seeking to Leave_The_EU is that it is an immensely complex process and FUD can be all too easily used by those who have incrementally forced upon us the EU scam, with salami slicing of our fundamental human right of self determination and its obscene costs and down side risks.

    The EU has woven a complex quilt of regulation, by the use of a massive unelected bureaucracy that includes the Civil Servants of all its vassal states aided by their police, politicians and much of their military whilst the tax payers have been left unrepresented and poorly, led mostly by opportunists unwilling to put in the hard slog of research and fine tuning as they expend their energy and our cash seeking selection and election so as to feed on the gravy train they claim to reject!

    Indubitably FleXcit offers a way forward, even perhaps the way forward, but already it extends to some 370 pages, well researched as it is and clearly striving for joined up thinking, will enough people read it. More importantly will enough members of the electorate understand it or will it continue to be run away from by the LibLabUkipCon herd mentality?

    The LibLabUkipCon seem not to wish to lie but clearly they have no desire to tell the truth with clarity and integrity or we would have left the outmoded, obfuscating, self serving bureaucrats of the un democratic EU long ago, even assuming we had been duped into its clutches originally, as we unarguably were; then as now based on spin, unbalanced funding, corrupt publicity and FUD – little changes!

    We have a long and arduous road ahead to repatriate our democracy and salvage our right to self determination and justice. Without education of the electorate in at least some of the details of FleXcit our aim of EU eXit is likely to fail, as the EUroPhiles have no need to lie merely to obfuscate and employ FUD to rattle the ill informed into the ballot box with a ‘stay in’ vote cast in fear and ignorance.

    Ignorance that comes of never having had explained to them the clear benefits of Britain resuming its independent status as a Global trading nation, with a reputation of integrity and justice, though the latter has been much tarnished by what were indubitably lies that emanated from the likes of Edward Heath, Geoffrey Rippon and latterly the indisputable corruption of Blair & Brown’s 13 unlucky years of self enriching misgovernment and economic illiteracy.

    Whenever the referendum comes, as it surely will, the hard work starts here and now and must be relentless if we are to have any hope of restoring our democracy in any meaningful terms.

    How about starting out with the relatively simple task of explaining how the EU works by promoting Richard North’s excellent book ‘The Great Deception’; followeed by the simple fact that the EU makes very few laws, it merely rewrites the laws of The WTO, Codex, The WHO, The IMF, The UN and the like with the seal of approval and wording of The Enarcs and the imprimatur of the EU.

    It will be long, it will be hard and it may well be bloody but we must work for freedom rather than be distracted by the obfuscation of the so called wars to grant freedom to many who as a majority wish to live by other standards be they Islam or the centralised dictator committees of Russia or The EU.

    If we are ever again asked if we wish to be governed by a centralised foreign and very alien power and the choice is that or the open sea and restoration of our global trading role and spheres of influence in the Anglosphere and beyond clearly we should, as an island Nation of United Kingdoms choose the open sea with control of our own trade, our own laws and freedoms and our own borders.

    Sadly one is forced to ponder whether Nigel farage has merely adopted the role of being yet another Judas Goat!

    Regards,
    Greg_L-W.

Thoughts & Suggestions On Ukip’s & Tory#s Future in widespread circulation amongst branch leaders.

.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
for your information I have published below, without any editing or alteration a suggestion which is being widely circulated in Ukip at branch level.
It has, in my opinion, some merit but unfortunately I do not believe it is likely to go anywhere as it requires an element of surrender of personal greeds and ambitions that political aspirations are unlikely to accomodate.
That said it is pleasing to note that there are some outthere trying to improve or system of governance, though my support lies firmly with The Harrogate agenda and FleXcit.
Procedure By Which conservatives Could Control  Parliament
If Ukip is Lucky, Ukip could, perhaps, get five to ten seats in Parliament. Do not forget, the public still regards Ukip  as a one issue  party. To gain control of Parliament Ukip  and (and friends) should form a new conservative party with a platform that is close to that of the existing Conservative party, omitting, of course, policies that are objectionable to conservatives.
The purpose would be to make a bed that would be easy for conservatives to slide into, including the eighty  percent of the Conservatives who left Conservative  associations. Ukip and the conservatives should then  form a  political  association  in  each  parliamentary  district. Ukip could merge with the new party, thus getting rid of the one issue problem.
Every one who would have worked to form the new, conservative, party should be prevented from joining the new party for a period of time to prevent the impression that Ukip controls it.
The two or three conservative parties should hold a primary election to determine who runs as the Parliamentary candidate, with the losers to help the winner. The cost of forming new associations can be raised by local contributors. It is suggested that the  new   conservative associations and the political party be controlled by the lowest level of conservatives, such as teachers, small businessmen, solicitors, professionals etc.
If the above procedure can not be completed in time to get candidates elected to Parliament, the new party must wait until after the  election  and  hold  a  petition demanding that the elected MP resign.
Note: an MP represents every person in his district, not just members and supporters of his party. When the petition reaches fifty percent of those who voted in the prior election, the conservatives will be morally justified in demanding their MP’s resignation. Then the new party could run their candidates in the following by elections.
To select a candidate, a local  association should advertise for applicants or the position of candidate for  Parliament, then select the best applicant by using rigorous tests, including, most importantly, psychological
evaluation. psychological evaluation is an absolute necessity as the psychological evaluation is the only way to tell who is honest and who is a conartist; members of the public  cannot.
Testing could be required of the association officers, committee members and delegates, etc.
The platform, selected by new party associations, should be some what vague in order to facilitate integration  the platforms of the new associations into one platform. It is suggested that self forming cliques of those who are honest and trust worthy be formed; then form self forming cliques of those who have  political skills and capabilities,  within  the first described clique.
The Iron Law of Organisations states that “Unless specifically excluded, all organisations with power, audience or capital will be controlled, dominated, ruled or ruined by the following quad: opportunists, neurotics, the partisan and the hostile” achieving such through some of multiple dirty tricks developed through the centuries.
All political  parties are formed out of lobbying groups, the equivalent of think tanks, etc, going back  decades  before the party’s formation. Thus  everybody forming the party had a pretty good idea of the other formers’ character and could exclude  dangerous individuals who  might  destroy or  hinder  the  party.
Ukip is an exception to the rule. A bonanza suddenly appeared in form  of  opposition to The European Union and to immigration. Numerous opportunists jumped in to form Ukip; the first became the leadership and secured their power with their true character being known. Thus people with unknown personalities became leaders. Should Ukip gain control of  Parliament you can expect scandals with precedent.
In addition, Ukip has no expertise in anything except immigration.
I find the above suggestion rather clouded by a rather naive understanding of Ukip which over eggs their ability with comments like:
In addition, Ukip has no expertise in anything except immigration.
clearly Ukip, in the field of immigration, either has little knowledge of the facts pertaining to immigration or it does know and is misrepresenting the facts dishonestly for their own personal gain playing on the fear and ignorance of the public.
Ukip grossly oversimplifies the issues and tries to pretend that if we Leave_The_EU the problem would be solved when clearly, even with minimal understanding, the EU is in the same invidious position as Britain believes itself to be in – immigration is a global issue and a global problem as shown by the fact that Britain’s immigrant percentage is low relative to may of the EU’s other vassal regions and has the same level of immigrants as the USA but far less than Norway, Switzerland, Australia and even Germany.
It is this sort of sloppy and dishonest behaviour in Ukip with its leadership team publicly contradicting eachother on core policy and some of its overtly racist publications that ensures that in thwe long run they are going nowhere!
I believe it is optimistic of Ukip to believe they will have any MPs elected at the general election as they overlook the probability of a collapse of the party either in internal squabbles or in disgrace over its apparent industrial level corruption.
That is not to say they will be lucky and not be exposed in time for it to effect the outcome of the election but as one wit put it with Labour:
‘Vote Labour and get Milliband’!
One might consider
‘Vote Ukip and get inept corruption’.
.
Regards,
Greg_L-W..
>GP – RN: EU exit: the Paterson speech
Posted by Greg Lance - Watkins (Greg_L-W) on 24/11/2014
Posted by: Greg Lance-Watkins (Greg_L-W)
At: Greg_L-W@BTconnect.com
“To achieve One World Government it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism,
their loyalty to family, traditions and national identification.”
Brock Chisholm, when director of UN World Health Organisation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi,

EUReferendum

Monday 24 November 2014

000a Times-024 Paterson.jpg

The actual speech text is here, delivered at 11am this moning. It is reviewed in The Times, in the Telegraph, the BBC, the New Statesman and elsewhere (140 reports and counting).

The essence of speech is that, instead of pussy-footing around, Cameron should cut to the chase and commit to invoking Article 50 the moment a Conservative government takes office after the election. With an electoral mandate, there is no need for a referendum.

Negotiations on a exit settlement should then proceed, using the “Norway option” as the base, involving joining EFTA and adopting the EEA agreement. Additionally, the entire EU body of law should be repatriated, to ensure legislative continuity, allowing for selective repeal and amendment as appropriate and necessary.

The loss of influence in leaving the EU is more than made up for by the restoration of our standing in international organisations such as Codex, UNECE, OECD, and many others, where we would be negotiating in our own right, determining standards which, under WTO rules, the EU is obliged to adopt.

In this, there would be no “fax democracy” as such. We would be sending laws down to Brussels – not the other way around.

The issue of “freedom of movement” is dealt with by dropping out of the ECHR and the EU treaties, so that we would only be obliged to grant freedom to workers, and not their dependents unless we chose to do so – plus restoring the ability to deport illegal immigrants.

Also, there would be continued measures to address “push” and “pull” factors, making the UK unattractive for unskilled migrants seeking low-paid work

However, Paterson reminds us that it took 40 years to progress to this stage of integration and we are not going to resolve all the issues in one stage. For the longer term, therefore, he argues that we would need to progress from the EEA to ensure a genuine Europe-wide Single Market, working on a truly intergovernmental basis.

One possible alternative, he suggests, is to strengthen the regional UNECE, so that it can administer the Single Market as an economic project rather than a political construct. Using that body, we would be able to negotiating directly across the board, cutting out the EU as the middle man, and substantially enhance the transparency of the system.

With a more durable European solution in place, we would be better able to promote our economic interests and we would also be able to take a lead in revitalising international trade. Free from the EU, says Paterson, we would have real influence on shaping the global regulatory models where true power lies.

The UK would have a key role in building transparency with enormous benefits to tackling organised crime, such as human trafficking, addressing issues of migration constructively.

In conclusion, Paterson adds, the Eurozone has already embarked upon a path that we can never follow. We are simply recognising that reality. We must either be fully committed to “Le Projet” or we must build an entirely new relationship.

The British people must be allowed to make that decision. Article 50 is the best method of making this happen. By this means we would forge ahead and resume our rightful place as a global leader. With our own independent status, working closely with our many allies, we would massively increase our influence.

As Churchill said, “We have our own dream and our own task. We are with Europe but not of it. We are linked but not comprised. We are interested and associated but not absorbed”. He was right then and he is right now. Get this message across and the UK has a spectacular future as a flourishing world power.

However boring you may find sport: there are many who derive great vicarious pleasure from watching it – Particularly Women’s Beach Volleyball & Women’s Gymnastics; some even enjoy being a part of a baying mob at football games!

Hi,

EUReferendum

Saturday 22 November 2014

000a Out-021 EU.jpg

A weary few days and some miracle-working by North Jr and friends has got us back online (with the forum and other tweaks to follow when we can), after a series of massive DDOS attacks. So focussed and relentless were the attacks that we conclude that they were directed specifically at EUReferendum, with a view to taking us out of circulation.

Against that and the added stress of extremely arduous day jobbing, the election of a second-rate politician seemed very minor. And, in the grander scheme of things, it was indeed a minor event. In six months, it will be distant memory, as indeed will Reckless the Repatriater, who will have faded into the obscurity he justly deserves.

Of current interest, though, is the fallout, which has the Daily Mail reporting that Conservative MPs are calling for David Cameron to toughen his stance on the EU.

The newspaper is asserting that the way to “take the legs from under Farage” is for the prime minister to campaign for an “out” vote. That is an obvious line to take except that it suffers the obvious flaw. Those unwilling to believe Mr Cameron’s promise for a referendum are just as likely to disbelieve any commitment to fight against EU membership.

What might deal a death blow to Farage’s ambitions, however, is the double whammy of explaining to the voting public that his party has no idea of how to manage our departure from the EU (and no capability in that respect) while simultaneously demonstrating that a workable plan does exist and can be implemented quickly and easily, to the very great advantage of the UK.

This, in my view, is what is needed to transform the debate. Having long accepted the need to leave the EU – for any number of reasons – I no longer wish to endure the tedium of the continuous tales of woe on how badly we are treated by the Barons of Brussels.

Rather, I am in the market for some “sunlit uplands”, the very thing Mr Farage and his dysfunctional acolytes have no means of bringing us. His shambolic party is set to deliver the only thing of which Ukip is capable –  its own brand of discordant negativity. It will never achieve anything but chaos and disruption.

In order to defeat Ukip, what the Conservatives need to realise is you don’t fight a negative with a negative. The only thing that cancels out a negative is a positive. All Farage’s party can do is tell us how bad it is inside the EU. The Conservatives need to tell us how good it is on the outside.

That, in fact, is quite difficult to do. Any fool can tell us that we need to leave – very few people can come of with a credible, structured plan for making it happen. And as this is a task quite beyond the capabilities of Ukip, and neither Labour nor the Lib-Dems have any intentions of filling the void, this leaves the field wide open to the Conservatives.

This is why the next few days and weeks are going to be increasingly interesting. Gradually, there is a realisation emerging that the need to get out of the EU is only a tiny part of the equation – the easy bit that even the febrile minds of Ukip supporters can grasp. It is how we get out that matters more. Unless a safe exit can be assured, it is never going to happen.

Once it is evident that the feat can be done, though, it is much more likely that it will then happen. Thus, the realisation that we need an exit plan may be one of the most enduring effects of this period. Knowledgeable commentators will then see the pressure to withdraw as a child of the time. Others will try to link unrelated events, and argue cause and effect.

What we are seeing, though, are effects with common causes. Some have taken the cul-de-sac towards Ukip while the more enlightened are looking for the way to the sunlit uplands. The reasons for those actions are deep-rooted and do not lie in recent events. But the outcome is not to be denied – it was going to happen sooner of later. And even if later, that is better than not at all.

Richard North
22/11/2014

I am inclined to totally agree with this post of Richard’s which concurs with all that I have learned over many years and in very many countries around the world – any fool can knock the status quo and find support amongst the struggling lower middle classes (used to be working class until the invention of Mr. Biro replaced the pick and the shovel of yester year for many!), and also the support of the failed amongst the working classes (those not gainfully employed or who have outbred their capacity for self support!).

Indeed Nigel Farage’s clique and its claque have tapped into this very successfully as did Alex Salmond in Scotland, Francisco Franco in Spain, Adolf Hitler in Germany and many others in their respective times and countries.

You will note all made an issue of simplistic denigration of the existing Governance, highlighted problems and built on them without workable remedies and found a sector of the community to blame be that the Jews in Nazi Germany, the bankers for the Labour party and EU or immigrants for Farage’s ill informed supporters.

NONE of the examples I have quoted had any exampes of HOW to move forward being far too rooted in destructive nihilism as they tried to tear down structures that showed how small was their intellectual structure and vision rather than building an intellectual power base that rose above the present situation, showing why the alternative they offered was better and more importantly how to achieve their promised ‘Nirvana’.

Allthough it seems Richard North feels constrained by modesty (not too typical of him 😉 – I note he fails to put forward his methodology for obtaining those sunny uplands) may I therefore suggest all who read this will find a detailed study of >FleXcit< of great value – you will find a link to >FleXcit< in the right sidebar of this web site.

I regret it would seem that in Britain The Tories, divorced as they would seem to be from either the ethics or the patriotism they formwerly represented, are the only party that shows ANY possibility of moving forward all be it haltingly as they recognise increasingly before a referendum AS PROMISE, unlike relative to the New EU Constitution which morphed into the name change to The Lisbon Treaty!

As I started to say – as they start to realise that the EU Treaties are now tablets of stone that can not be viably improved due to the requirement for unanimity of opinion amongst approaching 30 very different regions (formerly Nation States) who are both its vassals and its members! SDome seeking to reduce the subsidies they fund the scam with whilst the majority seek to survive on the malign handouts generated by those self same subsidies.

The EU is like a family with over 20 children where regardless of the needs and incomes of the parents and few viable working members  has surrende3red control of how much pocket money the majority of the least responsible children get is defined by those very children that would benefit – all too like the Labour Party economic illiteracy we saw in the 13 unlucky years of their catastrophic rule, where the Governance was controlled by a collection of criminal scoundrels seeking their own enrichment and aggrandisement all be it by bankrupting the country and undeniable war crimes and crimes against humanity!

Looking At The Apparent Industrialisation Of Crime In Ukip, with a GUEST POST a few examples of the many and relevant links, substantive details and numerous reminders.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
FARAGE & BADZAK, Jasna 01
The strange case of Jasna Badzak, Lee Jasper, Louise Mensch, UKIP and possible police corruption.
Jasna Badzak is a former UKIP press officer. She’s the last person who you’d expect would have anti-facist campaigners, MP’s, former colleagues of Ken Livingstone and people from the left and right coming out in defence of her.
Best to start at the beginning with Lee Jasper and this is from his blog explaining how he and Badzak first met.
Jasna Badzak is a former press officer for UKIP. She started work for Nigel Farage and Gerard Batten MEP in November 2010 and around a year ago; she was convicted of defrauding UKIP of some two thousand five hundred pounds in October 2013.  Around a year ago Jasna rang me seeking support for what she claimed, was a miscarriage of justice. I was intrigued and decided to meet Jasna.
It’s best to read Jasper’s first hand account of what he and Badzak were discussing as it’s quite complex, but the short version is that Badzak was convicted of fraud in October 2013 which was quite heavily covered in the right wing press. Badzak has claimed this was a miscarriage of justice which is where she contacts Jasper in order to get someone to hear her story which is she is the subject of a possible criminal conspiracy by members of the Metropolitan Police (who may have links to UKIP, the BNP and the EDL) and Gerard Batten, a UKIP MEP.
It’s fairly outlandish but I can understand why Badzak went to Jasper, than say, the likes of The Sun, as if she could get a left wing campaigner for equality to believe her, then she’d have an unlikely ally in taking on what at first seems like a fairly simple case of fraud, but when delved into deeper is much, much more worrying and affects freedom of speech for all of us.
If however she’s been framed because she was repulsed by Gerard Battens UKIPs Charter for Muslim Understanding, Dismantling Multiculturalism and that as claimed, she’s being targeted by officers in the Met with links to UKIP/EDL then that’s incredibly worrying. The allegations if the blog by Lee Jasper are extraordinary but this is only the start of it as the case has now been taken up by of all people, Louise Mensch who picked it up after Badzak was arrested for ReTweeting the Lee Jasper blog.
At this point it’s essential to read this blog from Mensch and take the implications of it in entirely. If this is true then not only has the Met lied to the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London, but is suppressing critics of UKIP and is acting on behalf of MEP’s to ensure that Badzak is silenced, and in terms of her fraud conviction, wrongfully have her convicted. Sadly, due to the fact that Badzak is a cardiac patient and is undergoing astonishing amounts of stress, she’s been left paralysed from the waist down thanks to this.
jasnabadzak
What I find astonishing is that Badzak and her supporters (which I fully admit to being one of) aren’t being nicked for posting the Lee Jasper blog, or harassed by police because of posting the Mensch blog. It’s as far as I know, it’s just the woman who may have proof that would show what UKIP are which is very clearly a party of the far right using corrupt police officers to enforce what they want which is suppressing debate.
I find it extraordinary that journalists who monitor Louise Mensch’s Twitter feed for every single fuck up (and I’ve made my opinion on Mensch clear in the past) haven’t picked up what she’s been Tweeting about, especially as it relates to UKIP and the media love stories about UKIP. This however could be one which has massive implications about the party, who it has connections with on the far right and the police and how they’re conducting themselves. Either it’s a case where journalists aren’t interested (which would be astonishing) or there’s something else holding them back from even mentioning this story. Whatever the reason I find it suspicious there’s nothing in the press.
This is a constantly updating story so I suggesting following Jasna Badzak and Louise Mensch on Twitter to see where this goes because if true, then some Met Officers and a UKIP MEP should be the one feeling the stress, not Jadna Badzak.
UPDATE 9th November
Mensch has updated her blog today which can be read here but essentially she has screenshots which show that one of the Met Officers, a James Galvin, supports UKIP on his Facebook page which isn’t enough to show he’s in the pocket of UKIP MEP’s, but it’s certainly enough to show a probably conflict of interest that at the very least should result in a public inquiry.
Also, I’ve now had it made clear to me that the story was offered to Channel 4 News and  other media organisations but nobody bothered to touch it. Considering that an effigy of Alex Salmond being burned made headline news while this massive miscarriage of justice has been left to flounder online I can only think that there’s people who don’t want to dig into something which frankly, could well bring UKIP down as well as further expose the Met for being a corrupt force open to abuse by its officers.
I need to also bring to light an anonymous comment left on this blog and highlight the implications made in it.
The implications are as follows: UKIP seems to have infiltrated the police. Further still, specialist officers in the financial crimes, serious crime and anti-terror sections have been involved in framing Jasna Badzak. There are many others who claim to be harassed by these specialist and elite police units including hounding by the Air Support Unit and CID from the Homicide and Major Crimes directorate. Many of these individuals are professional people who have not been involved in any criminal activities what so ever. They are in the construction industry, unionists or simply are targeted over personal matters as with Ian Puddick.
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=ad1_1407946597&comments=1
The implication is that the Met are targeting people, including a number of activists, who they see as a ‘threat’ to whatever they’re trying to protect.Then I remembered this blog I stuck up back in May which mentions how a Green Party member by the name of Michael Abberton had a knock on the door for posting this image on his social media.
10reasonsukipfactchecked
In that case it was Cambridgeshire police but as much as I don’t like conspiracy theories or the nutters they attract, there’s something about all of what’s happening with UKIP and the police that screams of a genuine attempt to suppress debate and of course, the fact the party is now very firmly a far right party who clearly have authoritarian undertones.
In the case of Badzak, it seems that as Louise Mensch has said (and I find it astonishing I agree with her) that all of James Galvin’s convictions are unsafe, and that he should also be investigated for corruption which should include his links to UKIP and the far right. If the police have people working within it essentially working for the far right (which I include UKIP as firmly being of the far right) then it’s down to the Fourth Estate to pull their head out their arses and expose this because if it’s dismissed, or forgotten about there’s going to be irreparable damage to the joke that is democracy within the UK.
We published our doubts about this case with extensive details at the time of Jasna Badzak’s original trial.
BADZAK, Jasna 01
We also published details of Ukip’s agents corrupt efforts to silence/bankrupt me by claiming over £100,000 for using a well circulated Ukip publicity photo of Nigel Farage standing in a large puddle at a building site which they tried to pass of as a fishing photo:
FARAGE, Nigel awash 01 publicity pic co CROUCHERLooks all too like a display of the degree of corruption in Ukip.
The Courts found in my favour and ordered Ukip’s agent to pay my costs. To date Ukip have shown nothing but contempt for British justice defaulting on payment of around £13,500 + years of interest!
WISE, Tom 04 MEP
It was also myself that exposed the embezzeling of public funds by Tom Wise on my web site. We now know that Tom Wise assisted Nigel Farage by giving him £Thousands, which he KNEW was part of the fraudellently obtained money – was this why Farage NEVER threw Tom Wise out of Ukip?
It was my blog and postings on the corrupt Anthony Butcher’s forum which repeatedly published details of Tom Wise and Ukip’s corruption that eventually ensured Wise was sentenced to 2 years in jail!
DENNY, Douglas 03
It has been this blog that has publicly kept alive the desire for open transparency over the Ukip corrupt Ashford scam and exposed the dishonesty and corrupting of Ukip internal elections for Farage by Douglas Denny.
CLARK, Derek MEP born 10-Oct-1933 06
It was this blog that exposed the corruption of Ukip MEP Derek Clark which eventually led to him having to refund somewhere between £30 & 100,000 of tax payers money he had missapropriated. It is understood the only reason he was never prosecuted was bnecause of his advanced years!
HOLDSWORTH, Petrina 01It was also my blogs which brought you the lies and deceit of Roger Knappman and the obscenities of Nattrass and corrupt bullying by others that led to the resignation of the tyhen chairman of Ukip Petrina Holdsworth.
It was this blog which first published the fact that Nigel Farage had lied on media to get elected and had broken his promise by employing his wife doing very little for £30Kpa.
FARAGE, Kirsten 03
It was this blog that published the fact that Nigel Farage had set up a tax dodging Isle of Man bank account and also gave details of his undeclared income relative to the Electoral Commission some £200,000 in donations from the owners of his constituency office.
It was also my blog which published that the £11,000 unlawfully claimed from the EU and allegedly paid to The Metric Martyrs vanished on route, as they never received a penny of it from Ukip.
MERCHANT, Piers 04
There was also the report of the Ukip Returning Officer in their candidate selection process a Barrister and former Tory MP, which exposed the corruption of the process and the dishonesty of a fellow former Tory MP’s involvement in the scam, which were exposed on my blog CLICK HERE
GILL, Christopher 03
ALL of these items appeared on this blog and others I control long before they were ever made public in the Legacy Media.
FULLER, Annabelle 10a
Do not forget it was this blog that published the lies of Annabelle Fuller and her theft of confidential data pertaining to John West which she published on You Tube and details of the collusion with Nigel Farage4 to stay on his payroll which has been achieved to date regardless of the pretence and subterfuge Nigel Farage has been involved in to achieve it.
WHITTAKER Dr John 02
You may recall Ukip’s then chairman John Wittaker MEP who resigned in disgust over Nigel Farage’s corrupt behaviour!
db128-annabelle-fuller
It was also this blog which published the fact that Annabelle Fuller had stolen Andrew Bridgen’s Blackberry phone device, House of Commons Pass and correspondence whilst at his flat in the early hours with his political advisor – we also published tyhe fact that she had twice phoned Nigel Farage from the flat at the time!
Despite these facts being reported to the police at the time it would seem there was a cover up of Ukip’s invbolvement in Annabelle Fuller’s criminality due to repeated embarrassment of the police eventually
BRIDGEN, Andrew 01 + wife
(too late to save Andrew Bridgen’s marriage) instigated an enquiry only about a month ago see CLICK HERE and then ask yourself just how long it takes the police to investigate the theft of a Blackberry, a House of Commons Pass and correspondence, which not only has been admitted by the thief but since it was theft from an MP was clearly a Security Issue
Clearly it is legitimate to ask ‘Are the police still acting to cover up the crimes for Ukip whilst seemingly fabricating cases for Ukip’?.
It would seem Ukip has privileged links with various Police Officers and have corrupted the judicial system on more than one occasion. Last week we noted that Police Officers were destroying evidence which may well have proved damaging to their various cases on behalf of Ukip, Gerard Batten and possibly others.
The similarities involved in these cases, including the involvement of Simon Orme from the CPS and various police officers named on this blog site with what seems to be a ‘fit up’ case being brought against the then Ukip MEP Nikki Sinclaire,
who fell out with Ukip over their racist, anti homosexual, anti Jewish low life associates in the EFD Group.
SINCLAIRE Nikki Banks + Hurst 01
Clearly the claimed case against Nikki Sinclaire which so closely follows the case brought against Ukip as to obviously be unsound – not least in the fact that it has taken over 2 years of police harrassment and public villification of Nikki Sinclaire to even bring this febrile stack of nonsense to Court – clearly costing her the possibility of re-election and together with
PEARSON, Lord Malcolm of Rannock 16 & Pamela
the lies of the utterly corrupt extremist Zionist racist Lord Pearson of Rannock’s lies about her has made her position untenable.
A clear case of justice delayed is justice denied.
Like so much else related to the dealings of the Ukip leadership clique aided by their nere do well claque this is deeply unreliable and would seem to be a very clear case of corruption of justice in collusion with other public servants.
I believe that there is more than enough evidence in the public domain and readily available to call for an enquiry into the ethics of Ukip and consider as unsound various, if not all cases, involving those officers who have seemingly colluded with Ukip. If they have been willing to ‘sit on’ some cases, ‘cover-up’ others and pursue seemingly fabricated cases then they are clearly unfit and ALL their work must be considered suspect.
An investigation of the ‘establishment’ by the ‘establishment’ is clearly no more fit for purpose than Ukip as representatives of British values nor the Police of Police corruption!
Ukip has made much of being different from other politicians and parties and it seems they surely are – they would seem to have industrialised corruption. Perhaps it is time for a complete change in the style of British politics so let us change by having an independent and trustworthy enquiry – unlike such stitch ups as Chilcott and Leverson’s various stunningly inept reports (deliberate?) – or the mealie mouthed efforts to sweep the various paedophile reports back under the carpet!
It is time for A Royal Commission on Police, Policing and the Justice System which so readily abuses its position of trust with utilising false laws just ‘Because they can’.
Also we should strive to restructure our system of Governance along the lines of ‘The Harrogate Agenda‘ once we have implemented ‘FleXcit‘ to Leave_The_EU, minded of ‘The House of Commons document‘.
Hi,
as it becomes ever clearer, to the informed, that Ukip has ever more deeply significant problems beyond the sexual dalliances of its leadership in continental bordellos and employing wives and mistresses, whether past present or future, the divorce of buffoons like Roger Helmer are of little significance – with whom and where they sleep is like them, an irrelevance.
HELMER, Roger 02 - ASLEEP on The JOB 01
Clearly their much claimed populist positioning and mobilising of a ‘people’s army’ has all the ring of truth of scoundrels such as General Jackson, General Lord Dunat and others in trying to pretend that Britain’s folly of engagement by the self serving degenerate fool Tony Blair and the low grades he gathered around him trying to claim Britain’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan was other than a route, in militarty, political, economic and humanitarian terms.
Clearly it is not just Ukip tyhat is bereft of leadership and sound judgement.
Ukip however is being implausible before the even for even the poorly informed!
You will note the jingo of mobilising a ‘peoples’ army’, which has clearly stalled as shown by the failure of their Police Crime Commissioner candidate in South Yorkshire to get out any kind of vote let alone mobilise those who have not engaged politically in the past scoring a mere 4.7% of the votes of the electorate, albeit a gain on last time when Jonatyhan Arnot had a mere 16,000 or so votes, this time their candidate picked up a little by the increase of turnout from 14.5% to 14.9% and absorbing the votes of last time’s popular English Democrat candidate who did not stand this time.
Hardly mobilising a ‘peoples’ army’ though to be fair the winner with almost double the vote was the Labour candidate an Anglican priest teaching ethics at the local red brick Uni. with a meager 7.4% holding within a few hundred of the disgraced outgoing Labour incumbent; thus showing Ukip is not materially effecting Labour in their he\artlands.
Then much akin to the anti homosexual appearance of Roger Helmer’s comments and Ukip in general, particularly Nigel Farage and his close chum, at the time, Godfrey Bloom – as displayed by Nigel Farage openly denouncing Nikki Sinclaire, an openly declared homosexual subsequent to her gender reassignment, within hours of her being elected as one of his MEPs despite the fact that she went on to donate more of her own money to the Ukip cause in the following 4 montha than Farage himself has donated in 21 years!
Ukip saw a gap in the market – a new band wagon to jump on – and decided to try to increase their vote using the wide open goal and crowd from the now collapsed BNP looking for a new home by preaching a doctrine all too akin to the racist hate material published by their own MEP Gerard Batten to exploit the increase in mobility of people world wide resulting in a huge difficulty dealing with immigrants.
IMMIGRATION POLICY - EUkip 01One of Gerard Batten’s odious racist Ukip pamphlets
Ukip were dubiously backed not only by a few police officers of dubious integrity and questionable awsociates but also by a cult of extremist so called self proclaimed ‘christians’!
The mask is slipping! Part of Ukip’s propaganda was to claim that Britain was awash with immigrants but when you study the figures you find that this just isn’t true when compared witjh other countries – not wishjing to let the facts get in the way of an opportunity to make a shoddy case Ukip blamed the EU for this, yet as you will see from the facts in the chart below the argument is unsound:
EU IMMIGRATION 2014 - 01Just click on the charty for a larger version.
It is worth noting that Ukip champions the cause of leaving the EU, which is of course a sound policy, but to do so dishonestly is to cast their future to the wind!
Were Britain to Leave_The_EU it would not make a jot of difference to our immigrant levels and the fact they site Norway and Switzerland as exemplars shows how very ill informed and dishonest they are since both countries are not only outside of the EU but also have much higher levels of immigration than Britain.
To compound their folly Ukip suggest a role model of Australia as having a much better control of immigration yet where Britain currently has some 13% of our population who are immigrants Australia stands at 27%. Meanwhile although Ukip would seem to be deriving much support and attention from the opposition wing in America where interestingly it is shown to have nearly the identical immigration level to these United Kingdoms with 41M of its 313M peoples being immigrants, thus 13%!
Ukip’s dishonesty is increasingly being seen through, not to mention the3 vile nature of many in its leadership clique and its immediate claque.
One can expect Mark Reckless to be re-elected in the upcoming by election but for the life of me I see absolutely no precedent or track record of figures to show the protest vote stands any chance of seeing him hold his seat in the upcoming General Election – the turn of the wheel  when irt comes to actual achievement in Ukip to date shows that Ukip has little hope of gaining MPs at a General Election.
One may well seek to make much of their coming second in several by elections but the difference between 2nd. and 1st. is the difference between success and failure and if they are unable to produce winners in by elections with everything in their favour it seems clear that their sole achievement in a General election will be to ensure Britain NEVER leaves the EU, by destroying what little hope we have of a Referendum and compounding the catastrophe by placing Labour in Downing Street to continue the destruction of Britain they have resol;utely achieved in every other moment of folly where they were elected!
Let us hope the public wake from their somnambulent loss of faith in democracy and return to voting rather than leaving the vote to those jumping on ill informed populist band wagons.
Some reassurance may be found that although Ukip lay claim to 40,000 members they should remember at a time when the eligible electorate was far smaller Baronet Sir Oswald Moseley built up to 50,000, largely pandering to a working-class hooligan strain exploited subsequently by John Tyndall’s National Front in the 1970s in Britain, the same grouping that  Alex Salmond endeavoured to tap into in Scotland and Adolf Hitler had successfully exploited in Germany, yet in Britain as a whole Moseley spectacularly failed in electoral achievement as did Tyndall!
Clearly Ukip has failed in domestic elections to dateand without Tory turncoats and malcontents they would be as insignificant as their natural rivals in the English Defence League, Britain First, BNP, English Democrats, Greens and Monster Raving Loonies!
Ukip having spectacularly failed to come up with any plausible and costed serious policies in its 21 years, dismissing former efforts as soon as they are shown to be, to use their own leader’s description ‘drivel’ despite his having personally been in charge of policy inventing most of it ad lib to suit occasions and having personally signed off and commended their last manifesto; being only to happy to lay the blame at anyone’s door rather than shoulder the responsibility for his own ineptitude!
It looks all too likely that Nigel Farage will be squirming around in efforts to lay the blame for Ukip’s totally inaccurate immigrant policy at someone’s door unwilling to damage his income stream and career path by accepting responsibility for his actions!
In 21 years the one policy which Nigel Farage’s party has spectacularly failed to address is a responsible and honourable EU exit and survival strategy – a concept and policy document both far from populist in its required detail and obviously far beyond his or his party’s intellectual ability to produce to date – therefore I take the liberty of putting forward a suggestion that all who genuinely wish to Leave_The_EU amongst the ranks of those who have to date been duped into supporting Ukip consider adopting minded that the ONLY route to this is via referendum which can only be achieved by holding one’s nose and voting Conservative – how so ever one might vote in insignificant protest votes pending the General Election.
To that end and to help Ukip supporters understand the importance of a responsible and honourable EU exit and survival strategy I publish below an article from another blog.
The House of Commons on:
Leaving The EU – 01-Jul-2013
000a Parliament 002-exi.jpgPublished yesterday by the House of Commons Library was a research paper on “leaving the EU”. The online introduction is here which offers a download facility for the entire 112-page document. For those who want to look at it without downloading, you can access it here.The paper is edited by Vaughne Miller and she tells us that the Treaty on European Union provides for a Member State to leave the EU, either on the basis of a negotiated withdrawal agreement or without one.
If the UK were to leave the EU following a referendum, Miller says, it is likely that the Government would negotiate an agreement with the EU, which would probably contain transitional arrangements as well as provide for the UK’s long-term future relations with the EU. There is no precedent for such an agreement, but it would in all likelihood come at the end of complex and lengthy negotiations.
The full impact of a UK withdrawal, she adds, is impossible to predict, but from an assessment of the current EU role in a range of policy areas, it is possible to identify issues and estimate some of the impacts of removing the EU role in these areas. The implications would be greater in areas such as agriculture, trade and employment than they would in, say, education or culture.
As to whether UK citizens would benefit from leaving the EU, Miller argues that this would depend on how the UK Government of the day filled the policy gaps left by withdrawal from the EU.
She argues that, in some areas, the environment, for example, where the UK is bound by other international agreements, much of the content of EU law would probably remain. In others, it might be expedient for the UK to retain the substance of EU law, or for the Government to remove EU obligations from UK statutes.
Much would depend, Miller concludes, on whether the UK sought to remain in the European Economic Area (EEA) and therefore continue to have access to the single market, or preferred to go it alone and negotiate bilateral agreements with the EU.
And such is the view of a senior researcher in the House of Commons Library. It is not the definitive word by any means, but it is a contribution to a complex subject, where much debate and clarification is needed. At least, it does explore the Article 50 issue, telling us that an EU-exit would not be straightforward and would involve complex and probably lengthy negotiations over the UK’s future relations with the EU.
In so doing, several of the more egregious myths are debunked. For instance, the decision to leave, we are told, does not need the endorsement or formal agreement of the other Member States. Withdrawal can happen, whether or not there is a withdrawal agreement, two years after the leaving State notifies the European Council of its intention to withdraw.
Nevertheless, we learn, the terms of Article 50 TEU imply an orderly, negotiated withdrawal, and it is clearly indicated that transitional provisions would have to be agreed, allowing EU law and obligations to continue to apply until all loose ends had been tied up. It would not be possible to withdraw immediately from several policy areas without causing enormous disruption.
In my view, such are the complications that completion of negotiations within a two-year period is unlikely, and we could see the UK – as well as the member states – looking for an extension, before a withdrawal agreement could be finalised, with any side treaties that might be needed.
For all its utility, though, the paper has some huge gaps. There is, by way of one example, virtually no recognition of the effect of globalisation of trade, and the expanding role of international standards-setting bodies which, via WTO, are largely displacing the EU as originators of trade regulation.
In this context, a paper that talks of harmonised rules on type approval of road vehicles, that does not mention UNECE and the World Forum on the Harmonisation of Vehicle Regulations, must be considered severely lacking. There is much of the “little European” in the arguments adduced.
For the moment, though, the paper is probably ahead of the field, which means that many commentators will be struggling to catch up. It gets some attention from the advertising and merchandising conglomerate, the Telegraph Media Group Ltd, which offers a thin report, homing in on narrow FUD issues. One suspects its author lacks the intellectual framework with which to assess the paper properly.
But then, media interests have shown little ability to deal with the detailed issues attendant on our leaving the EU – and many of the commenters even less so. The House of Commons researchers are better equipped, although one has to say, not that much better. But their contributions do make a start to what is going to be a long haul.
Leaving the EU –
Commons Library Research Paper
INTRODUCTION
The Treaty on European Union provides for a Member State to leave the EU, either on the basis of a negotiated withdrawal agreement or without one. If the UK were to leave the EU following a referendum, it is likely that the Government would negotiate an agreement with the EU, which would probably contain transitional arrangements as well as provide for the UK’s long-term future relations with the EU. There is no precedent for such an agreement, but it would in all likelihood come at the end of complex and lengthy negotiations.
The full impact of a UK withdrawal is impossible to predict, but from an assessment of the current EU role in a range of policy areas, it is possible to identify issues and estimate some of the impacts of removing the EU role in these areas. The implications would be greater in areas such as agriculture, trade and employment than they would in, say, education or culture.
As to whether UK citizens would benefit from leaving the EU, this would depend on how the UK Government of the day filled the policy gaps left by withdrawal from the EU.
