Perhaps Hesketh should stick to building motorcycles!
Life is rarely as simple as it seems when politically spun!
I was surprised how short a time Hesketh enterprised in their various forms lasted sadly including Hesketh Racing!
Was it his title that earned him his 15 years as a name on the board of Babcock Int.?
Was it that a fool and his money are easily parted that earned him titular treasurer of The Tories?
As so often with EUkip there are frequently more questions than answers!

sadly the V1000 was something of a disaster and after producing a few (around 150 as I recall) he had to call it a day as they were ‘not very good’ too high center of gravity, a bit of a tractor and with various engineering faults he could not overcome – Even Triumph could not make a go of the deaign.

I believe the firm went bust and it was about that time he was forced to sell off his family seat and all his assetts.

He had another go at making bikes but that failed too with less than 50 made.

Whether ANY sold as retail I’m uncertain but that business was folded also.

Little wonder that at 61 he looks very considerably older or is his health giving out?

I see he is starting a ‘fund raising club’ for UKIP – he would be ill advised to let UKIP have a penny piece, until they have put in place clear and transparent accounting as a huge amount of money has just vanished in UKIP who seem to use the methods of obfuscation that are common practice in The EU!

Consider UKIP’s attempt at a petition which had all the hallmarks of success of the Hesketh V1000 with over £1/4Million of tax payers and other peoples’ money being used and no sign of a petition ever being presented to anyone.

Consider also UKIP’s Ashford Call Center – described by Farage as the most successfull thing UKIP had ever done yet UKIP Chairman confirmed that less than 15% of the money raised ever reached the party funds whilst the rest seemingly vanished unaccounted into private pockets.

UKIP has no stately home nor heirloom works of art to auction to fund its incompetence – but now it has Alexander Hesketh to show them how it is done!!

Hi,

I was pleased to see Thomas Alexander Fermor-Hesketh, 3rd Baron Hesketh, KBE, PC who at 61 now with his family seat in Northampton sold up he can clearly bring a great deal of experience of both success and failure to The EUroSceptic movement. Though whether he really intends to be associated with the vile extremists of EU politics in the racist, xenophobic, anti Jewish, anti homosexual Pan EU EFD Political group I do seriously question!

As a Catholic with his guilt laid on thick to the VERY pro EU Papacy one must wonder where his true loyalties lie – particularly since he was an Office holder in John Major’s sell out Government one is entitled to wonder! 

That his credentials as being opposed to membership of The EU may well be very genuine let us hope that he does not transpire as being as catastrophic for UKIP and as blatantly dishonest as Malcolm Lord Pearson; or as spoilt, petulant and childish as wee Willie Dartmouth – In fact Farage’s daliances with Peers have, largely due to his own lack of OQ and judgement as a leader, proved disasterous.

I applaud anyone deserting the Conservative Party for clearly as a party it has little interest in the actual meaning of ‘Unionist’.

Time will tell but as with the true fighters of The British Military in wartime clearly it may be best not to make chums of this man until his metal has been tested as we can all remember the catastrophy of recruiting David Bannerman, the outright folly of Lord Pearson and his chum the chump, the unseated, Lord Christopher Monkton not to mention any involvement with titles or so called CONverts.

I guess his future with UKIP will, like all others, be dependent on whether Farage sees him as a threat – which he will be if he expects probity, vision and a clear strategy on ethical basis.

PS: I am told the bike in the picture is a Hesketh Vortan – despite it looking rather ugly I gather someone is still making them – even perhaps Hesketh but I think not.
