Hi,

November two years ago was a buy time on my UKIP blog with 49 entries which are still available on the archive at CLICK HERE

It is astonishing just how little UKIP has changed – still squabbling and back stabbing – still with its army of cowardly sock puppets sneering and smearing in cowardly anonymity and still going out of their way to antagonise the media!

It was November 2009 that Tom Wise let Nigel Farage and Lindsay Jenkins off the hook legally as you may remember Lindsay Jenkins was a co defendant in a fraud and embezellment case before the courts with Tom Wise and Nigel Farage was likely to become more than just a simple witness in the case having serially lied about his relationship with Wise but Tom Wise finally developing some back bone when he realised the game was up and his posturing and denials were on the verge of being blown wide open changed his plea to Guilty and was sentenced to 2 years in prison and the repayment of the money he had stolen.

In that same month after being insulted and lied about by UKIP members Daniel Foggo wrote another factual article about UKIP as many will remember and the actual blog I wrote on the matter was on November 15 at CLICK HERE

Some will remeber the precursor I wrote:

#710* – OLAF INVESTIGATING EUkip PAST & PRESENT MEPs

#710* – OLAF INVESTIGATING EUkip PAST & PRESENT MEPs

Clean EUkip up NOW & make UKIP electable!

The corruption of some of EUkip’s leadership, their anti UKIP claque & the NEC is what gives the remaining 10% a bad name!

OLAF INVESTIGATING EUkip PAST & PRESENT MEPs BELIEVED RELATIVE TO FRAUD!

The list is quite interesting but currently sub judice – suffice to say ex chairman, 6 interviewed in London, ex MEPs, ex leader, 5 MEPs I noted, numerous ex staff, numerous others with case numbers etc.

UKIP MEPs’ expenses probed

EU anti-fraud investigators are conducting an inquiry into the United Kingdom Independence party over its MEPs’ use of expense allowances. Olaf, the body that polices MEPs, has sent officers to the UK, who were last week interviewing potential witnesses.

The development comes in the same week that Tom Wise, a former UKIP MEP, was convicted of embezzling taxpayers’ money intended as his assistant’s salary while he was working for the party.

It took 4 Years to bring Tom Wise to book!

TO LEAVE THE EU

What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.

NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.

Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.

The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU’s CAP – In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING!

To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we thus leave our children and the future, with shame!

I SUGGEST – since there is clearly no political party of repute, advocating or campaigning for withdrawal of these United Kingdoms from the EU and restoration of our independent sovereign, democracy, with Justice & the right to self determination in a free country. Deny the self seeking & meaningless wanabe MEPs the Mythical Mandate for which they clamour. Diktat is imposed from The EU but Law should be made at Westminster, for our Country & our Peoples.

#733* – JUST HOW STUPID IS Mike NATTRASS?

#733* – JUST HOW STUPID IS Mike NATTRASS?

Clean EUkip up NOW & make UKIP electable!

The corruption of some of EUkip’s leadership, their anti UKIP claque & the NEC is what gives the remaining 10% a bad name!

JUST HOW STUPID IS Mike NATTRASS?
IS THERE A 5th. AMENDMENT IN TheEU?

Hi,

NATTRASS SEEKS A FACE SAVER for his risible result in the leadership election and beig publiclly humiliated as an uncredible leader! Years liking Farage’s boots and doing what he was told like a sad puppet only to be treated like that on National TV true as it was it was clearly unkind of Farage, in his fear that Sinclaire might actually beat his chosen puppet Pearson.

You may well have read the article here CLICK which covered/contained The Sunday Times announcement that Mike Nattrass was, along with various others, under investigation on various counts by OLAF and of course Daniel Foggo published the story and subsequent facts pertaining to Tom Wise which eventually saw Wise in Prison and showed beyond doubt that Nigel Farage was a liar when he claimed he had removed/fired whatever Wise as soon as they knew – It was Foggo who made it clear that EUkip had colluded in numerous attempts to cover-up the crimes.

The story was not in-accurate – it is conveniently forgotten by the pond life of EUkip that Daniel Foggo is a leading award winning investigative Journalist who has broken some huge stories around the world whilst they merely feed from the public purse in a sordid self enrichment programme. Daniel having exposed the hypocracy of Knapman and then Farage who despite promises to the contarary employed his wife.

Unfortunately part of his next story was sourced elsewhere and although it led to a letter of apology from Farage’s solicitors to The Times the Sunday Times opted to make a payment not on the principle of hypocracy being wrong, but that the new informant had supplied incomplete information and checks with the authorities were then equally as erroneous.

In this instance Michael Nattrass EUkip MEP is being investigated by OLAF.

Amusingly an ‘e’Mailer of long standing with BNP leanings circulated the story:

Andrew Edwards circulated the Sunday Times article with the comment:

Subject: UKIP MEP Michael Nattrass in expenses fraud inquiry:

Looks like Daniel Foggo has uncovered another one of UKIP’s ‘innocent men‘!!!  As Foggo implies, this investigation is part of a wider one, so who will be next.  There will be some other very nervous UKIP MEP’s this morning!

The link to The Sunday Times is: CLICK HERE
 & reads:

UKIP MEP Michael Nattrass in expenses fraud inquiry

(Paul Vicente)
MEP Mike Nattrass
An MEP for the United Kingdom Independence party is being investigated by the European Union’s anti-fraud watchdog over his use of expenses.
Michael Nattrass, who has represented the West Midlands in the European parliament since 2004, is the subject of an inquiry into whether Denis Brookes, one of his former aides, was paid through public funds while he was working as a regional organiser for UKIP. The EU does not allow taxpayers’ money to be used to pay party officials.
The inquiry into Nattrass, which is part of a wider investigation into UKIP’s finances, comes as one of its former MEPs, Tom Wise, was jailed last week for two years for embezzling funds out of his assistant’s allowance.
Separately, it has also emerged that Nattrass was using a business of which he was an equity partner as the “paying agent” for all his assistants’ salaries provided by the EU.
Between 2004 and summer this year, all of his assistants’ allowances were channelled through the business account of Nattrass Giles, a chartered surveyors in Birmingham which he founded nearly 30 years ago.
Nattrass was a signatory to the bank account, although he insisted last night that the administration was handled by another partner in the firm who has since died.
MEPs must not act as their own paying agents. The role can only be performed by “third parties”.
New rules brought in since July this year have further tightened the controls and MEPs can now only use accredited people or companies as paying agents.
Nattrass said he had been told by EU officials that he could use his Birmingham company.

He also insisted that Brookes had worked for him in his capacity as an MEP until his employment as an aide came to an end three years ago.

The facts behind this are at CLICK HERE

Quite the idiot Nattrass had someone write a letter for him (it is in intelligible English!) as:

Dear All.

I am pleased to say there is no truth in the Foggo article.

Foggo knows this because we spoke prior to him going to press… but it made no difference…. so much for the facts.

There is no enquiry into paying agents. So there is no “Fraud Enquiry” However>

Nattrass Giles were not Limited. Foggo knows this and the shares stuff is a made up Foggo mythe. He even confirmed he knew it was not limited when I spoke to him!

NG were suggested as paying agent by the EU officials when I filled in the forms in 2004. I declared my connection with NG and it complied with the rules. NG paid very few employees as paying agents and the payroll was overseen by Chartered Accountants. It more than complied with the EU rules, because at that time the Chartered Accountants were not essential

They are asking whether Brookes worked for me or for the Party as RO. This is Brookes again complaining and I have beaten him off many times in court on this already. He worked for me and the fact is obvious as this was my very high profile argument with him when he failed to attend meetings.

Anyway it appears the Times want to stop me in the leadership race.

I like a challenge like this. But it may be time to go for damages against the Sunday Times and Edwards and the inflamed way Edwards reports these things will not impress the court.

Mike

So lets look at this in some detail:

I am pleased to say there is no truth in the Foggo article.

 Having read Foggo’s article and having checked the details what wasn’t true – I can see no errors in it so why are you making a fool of yourself Nattrass?
Foggo knows this because we spoke prior to him going to press… but it made no difference…. so much for the facts.
Well having spoken to him you will probably have told him that when you got back from swanning around in the Philippines on a family holiday having had all summer off it seems! As a doughty MEP for EUkip you had received the information that Derek Bennett the fireplace chap and part time Regional Organiser had been questioned by OLAF and I presume that they had tried to clarify Lynn Ashraff’s position too and others. No doubt Nattrass also told Foggo that he had received some of the details  from OLAF regarding the fraud enquiry.

Which fact was it Nattrass didn’t understand exactly?

There is no enquiry into paying agents. So there is no “Fraud Enquiry” However>

I wonder if that was what Nattrass was told or what he would like to portray or even believe.

Nattrass Giles were not Limited. Foggo knows this and the shares stuff is a made up Foggo mythe.
 Even in the original article there was no mention of Limited!

It has also emerged that Nattrass was using a company of which he was a shareholding partner as the “paying agent” for all his assistants’ salaries provided by the EU.

You will note since it is a standard paper rather than a financial journal it called Nattrass a ‘shareholding partner’ had it been a financial journal it would no doubt have said he had ‘a share in the equity having been a founding partner’.
He even confirmed he knew it was not limited when I spoke to him!
So Foggo was right – glad Nattrass confirmed that!
NG were suggested as paying agent by the EU officials when I filled in the forms in 2004.
I do doubt that they understood because this clearly is not compliant with the intent of ‘paying agents’.

I declared my connection with NG and it complied with the rules.

This is just not very plausible – what would be the point of paying agents? The aim is to remove the MEP from control of the money not just to put it into an account with a different name that the MEP controls!

NG paid very few employees as paying agents and the payroll was overseen by Chartered Accountants. It more than complied with the EU rules, because at that time the Chartered Accountants were not essential

 No but the purpose was that Nattrass did NOT have control of his own expenses.

They are asking whether Brookes worked for me or for the Party as RO.

Then why is Nattrass dennying he is being investigated when he is?

This is Brookes again complaining and I have beaten him off many times in court on this already.

Oh so there is an on going investigation!

He worked for me and the fact is obvious as this was my very high profile argument with him when he failed to attend meetings.

In normal parlance this is called a defence!

Anyway it appears the Times want to stop me in the leadership race.

This is delusional – The Sunday Times could care less who wins and clearly Nattrass is nowhere near a runner – he even Miked off on holiday during the campaign. Farage was spot on when he said of Nattrass & Batten they were ‘uncrdible candidates for the leadership!

I like a challenge like this. But it may be time to go for damages against the Sunday Times and Edwards and the inflamed way Edwards reports these things will not impress the court.

If Nattrass is serious he is an even greater idiot than many of us thought him to be!

Before emulating Farage and making an utter pratt of himself in the Courts and risking the same type of debts Farage has incurred I suggest poor old Mike tries to explain what his case against The Sunday Times is as to more than shout rude words and sabre rattle could well do Nattrass a huge financial damage.

Interestingly, much as EUkip might like to control Freedom of Speech just what crime does Nattrass believe Edwards has committed? That would look good as Nattrass would surely loose!

Now – 2 years later in response to the large investment in legal fees Mike Nattrass has made – the story has been confirmed as 100% accurate by the Sunday Times this weekend.

Mike Nattrass MEP

The Sunday Times Published: 27 November 2011

An article (print headline: “MEP in fraud inquiry”; online headline: “UKIP MEP Michael Nattrass in expenses fraud inquiry”, November 15 2009) reported an investigation by a European Union watchdog into whether Mike Nattrass MEP had used public funds intended for the payment of parliamentary aides to pay a UK Independence party regional organiser. That investigation has been completed with no action taken against Mr Nattrass. The article also stated that payments were channelled through the firm Nattrass Giles Limited. We were not suggesting the company was part of, or merited, any investigation and are happy to clarify the position.

To view the original of this confirmation that the original article was true CLICK HERE

It is easy for the cowardly UKIP sneerers as they shelter in shame behind their false identities to check that I consistently stated that it was unwise for Mike Nattrass to waste time and money on lawyers as no apology would be published since the first article was correct.

In fact one could speculate that a polite letter asking that a clarification of the original statement of facts and the subsequent outcome could well have been obtained at no cost many months ago!

What was surprising was that in clarifying the fact that OLAF were not taking further action against Nattrass in this issue that they did take action against Graham Booth ordering him to repay money – Just as with nigel Farage, Tom Wise, Jeffrey Titford, Derek Clark and no doubt others in the past – and the inquiries by OLAF would seem still to be being taken agaimnst Stuart Agnew and David Bannerman – a list to which OLAF # OF/2011/10/17 into Gerard Batten would seem to have been recently added.

It was during that time that Nigel Farage was off show boating and had endeqavoured the coronation of his puppet leader Malcolm Lord Pearson – who to be fair had played a passable hand as a EUroSceptic in The House of Lords but was to prove to be a catastrophic, incompetent, weak and dishonest leader of UKIP.

To be fair he eventually admitted he was hopeless at politics and had been a disaster as a leader of UKIP – If only Nigel Farage had learned from him and also admitted he has been a catastrophic leader of UKIP like Pearson bringing UKIP into disrepute though to be fair Pearson’s behaviour was not as squalid and amoral as that of Farage.

Both Pearson & Farage have great skills in their own areas but as leaders they are an embarrassment.

Fasrage has proved a quick tongue and lively speaker able to perform slickly and competently in a manner that impresses many but like Pearson is no leader!

Pearson on the other hand has turned in consistent sterling work in The House of Lords as shown by the recent second reading of his excellent:

European Union Membership (Economic Implications) Bill [HL]

Second Reading

10.10 am
Moved By Lord Pearson of Rannoch
    That the Bill be read a second time.

Lord Pearson of Rannoch: My Lords, I am truly grateful to all noble Lords who are to speak today. This is not the first time that your Lordships have debated this or a similar Bill at Second Reading. We did so last some four and a half years ago, on 8 June 2007, and we had similar debates on 11 February 2004, 27 June 2003 and 17 March 2000. The series would not be complete without mentioning 31 January 1997, when your Lordships’ House voted at Second Reading for a Bill that would have taken us out of the European Union altogether.

etc. ……………….

To read the balance of this second reading CLICK HERE at the end of column 1214 of 25-Nov-2011and you will note if you read on to the end the Second Reading was passed!

Hopeless, dishonest, corrupt and incompetent as a political leader as Pearson may be he is to be congratulated for his work on this Bill and its outcome so far.

Would that Farage would learn from his example and stand aside to do what he can do well rather than endlessly damage and divide UKIP by pretence to leadership skills he has shown he not only lacks but has no understanding of – staying in place only by shinning like a nickel in a dung heap having gathered around him low lifes and nere-do-wells on the make and the take, purely to outshine their shoddy behaviour.

One has to wonder why Steve Allison did not listen to those who knew he would just be used and damage what reputation he had, if he tried to find his way onto The UKIP MEP lists via The NEC!

Clearly he is starting to realise!

Hi,

there WILL be additional comments on this posting when I get a chance but to be going on with the liar, fantasist and discreditted fool Douglas Denny has been posturing on UKIP Members’ forum but I can’t be bothered cut and pasting his desperate efforts to seem credible – However he is threatening to post on the other UKIP controlled blog owned by the corrupt and incipid little dweeb Anthony Butcher who is always willing to host any vituperative dishonesty UKIP require posted.

Subject: NEC DIGEST – July 2011

DISCLAIMER : You are receiving this e-mail as you have indicated in the past that you would like to be kept informed of my activities as a member of UKIP’s NEC. If you don’t wish to receive these e-mails please reply with “STOP” in the e-mail subject area. These observations are my personal comments and are not an official record of the NEC Meeting. A formal report and the summary minutes will eventually appear on UKIP’s Website. However, I am a great believer in transparency and so write this e-mail in that spirit but I do self censor these digests based on the following guidelines for deciding if something needs to be considered confidential. Regardless of how open I may wish to be I am not going to publish things that could cause problems later on.
1. Information relating to on-going or potential legal action; 2. Information of a personal nature relating to an individual; 3. Commercially sensitive information; 4. Information which could be considered privileged (eg advice of a solicitor or an accountant); 5. Information which could be used to disadvantage the party.

Hi,

everyone, sorry this digest is a little late but I just couldn’t summon up enthusiasm to type up my notes on the way home on Monday night. I put this down to the pint and a half I had in the Sherlock Homes before getting on the train and I have been very busy with my real life (visiting clients and earning money) since Monday. To be honest nothing of any great importance was discussed at the NEC, which is about par for the course. No papers were distributed in advance of the NEC so once again it was try to listen, read, understand and then make some useful input on the hoof. I personally am just not mentally nimble enough to do this. I am considering sending my apologies to the next NEC when no papers are circulated in advance since that will obviously mean nothing of any importance is on the agenda.

The main NEC was preceded by another Constitution Review Working Party. The draft of the constitution was at least circulated on the Friday so we had an opportunity to scan through it in advance. Unfortunately I didn’t really get the opportunity to do more than scan and so struggled to absorb and understand 18 pages of “notwithstanding” and “aforementioned clauses excepted” and other legal gobbledegook. The review meeting managed to get about half way through the third draft before it ran out of time.

There was some discussion over a clause that defined the NEC as the party’s Board of Directors and, after the Leader, the party’s principal authority. The “after the leader” was vigorously contested by several of the working party and the agreement reached was that the NEC had to have final authority on all admin and financial matters and The leader would participate in these discussions as an equal member of the NEC. The NEC was also keen to maintain final authority over the party manifesto, but accepted in principle that the leader was responsible for the political direction of the party. This actually came up in the main NEC after lunch when the Welsh Assembly Elections were discussed. (More on this later).

The main NEC kicked off with apologies for absence. Michael Zuckerman was not present but it was explained that he considered his term of office expired in March and as he was not seeking re-election, he would not be attending any more NEC Meetings. Rachel Oxley was also absent but as the Chairman announced her resignation from the NEC it was not a surprise she was not at the meeting. The NEC wished both Michael and Rachel the best for the future and expressed their thanks for their service to the party. Rachel’s resignation means that there will be six vacancies on the NEC for election in September, not five as stated in the Independence News. Nominations open for the NEC next week and close in August. The candidates will get an opportunity to speak at the Conference and the vote will be by postal ballot after that.

Minutes of the last meeting went through more or less on the nod. I missed the last meeting so I could not really comment.

Under matters arising, I gave a report on the Pan European Parties debate. The ballot papers have been printed and the fulfilment house is making up the packs this week. Ballots will be despatched to the members starting from Monday 18th July and votes need to be returned by 15th August.

The cost of preparing for the ballot has been £4,685.00 (based on an eligible voting membership of 15,519). The costs of actually receiving back and counting the returned ballots depends totally on the turn out. If we get one vote back then it will have cost £5,385.31 for that member to have his (or her) say. If we get 100% turn out then it will have cost £10,195.81 for the ballot. The actual amount will be somewhere between the two extremes!

Steve Crowther pointed out that the result of the ballot would be binding on all MEPs. Either all would join a P-EP or none would join. Gerard Batten, attending the NEC as one of the MEP Representatives (the other this time was Paul Nuttall) pointed out he would not join a P-EP that did not have a commitment to withdrawal in its articles. Currently there is no P-EP that has such a commitment. It may be that in the event of a “YES” vote in the ballot then UKIP would need to set up its own P-EP in order to have such a commitment enshrined in the P-EP’s constitution.

Doug Denny then gave a brief report on Double nomination. This is sometghing I have been trying to push for a while and the NEC accepted the proposal to co-operate formally with residents’ associations and local independents using the “dual candidate” route now available to registered political parties (NB Registered parties NOT individuals). If for example an organisation called “Hartlepool Independents” or “Hartlepool Residents” was registered with the Electoral Commission then UKIP could reach an agreement to field joint candidates. The ballot paper could say “Hartlepool Independent and UKIP Candidate” or “Hartlepool Residents and UK Independence Party Candidate” It costs £250 to register a political party and I’ve suggested to my branch committee that it might be a good move politically to get “Hartlepool Independents” or “Hartlepool Residents” registered and under our control. We could then maybe attract people to stand next May who are not going to join UKIP but who would like to join an “Independent” or “Residents” Party. At the very least, we should consider registering these names to deny them to others!

Nigel gave his leaders report. As per usual, nothing had been circulated in advance. Basically, all’s well with the world and things are going great. The Patrons’ Club continues to expand and the dinner that night was oversubscribed.

Chairman’s report covered the London Elections. Ten Candidates have declared for Mayor and an on-line “primary” is to be held. The names were not mentioned but I assume the London Committee are on top of this? Annual Conference in Eastbourne was mentioned. Nothing new really here apart from a suggestion that the EFD Group might use some of their budget to sponsor at least part of the conference. It was also pointed out that each individual MEP could use their allowances to have a stand at the conference show casing the work they do in their region.

A good idea really and one that would legitimately put EU/MEP money into the conference. Interesting to see how many MEPs take up this suggestion?

A new recruitment brochure was flashed in front of the NEC. This has been sent to the Regional Organisers for comment. It was not passed round to the NEC.

Legal matters was its usual depressing report. Least said about it the better

Finance showed we were in the red but not badly so. The cash flow looked worse than it was because all the costs for the conference were known but ticket sales had not yet started so that was making the situation look worse than it really was. The Deputy Treasure explained in his report that this was because the outgoings on the conference were definite items of expenditure we would be making but ticket sales were only a possible income we might be getting. So, prudence said we had to assume we wouldn’t sell any tickets until the money actually started to come in.

Jonathan Arnott has taken over the management of the introduction of the new membership database. He has only been doing this for a couple of weeks so is still getting to grips with the brief. I would have liked some form of written report and hopefully this will eventually be forthcoming. However, I’m not holding my breath!

John Bufton and David Bevan then addressed the NEC. The discussion was a little side tracked by a discussion on whether Wales had a regional organiser and if a dedicated campaign office was essential, (my view on that one is NO it isn’t. UKIP spent £50,000 on a “Campaign Office” for the 2009 European Parliament Elections and any value for money analysis would, in my opinion, have concluded it was not money well spent.).

The Welsh discussion then further meandered off the point into a quite interesting exchange of views on UKIP’s position on an English Parliament. Ultimately, the Welsh Question could not be totally lost and the answer was that policy was indeed changed at the last minute and without reference to the Welsh Committee or indeed to the NEC.

The long-standing policy of abolish the Welsh Assembly was changed to one that, in my opinion, fudged the issue to adopt a more populist line which produced a basically reformist position rather than the clear cut abolish. This was justified on the grounds that a majority of those people who bothered to vote supported more powers for the assembly at the referendum which was held just a few days before the elections. UKIP therefore had no choice but to drop the abolish the assembly policy!

This decision was taken by Nigel. As the UKIP Party Constitution currently stands he was totally within his rights and exercising powers he holds under the constitution. Indeed the Party Leader can adopt, amend or drop any policy he likes without any reference to anyone. He can consult IF he wishes to but is not obliged to take any notice of any advice he may receive. (This was the same reason UKIP supported AV. Nigel decided it was the way to go so that was UKIP’s policy!)

The Welsh Committee may indeed feel they had their legs chopped from under them and may feel that UKIP should be seeking to abolish the assembly rather than just reform it. Being a reform party does bring UKIP into line with every other party in Wales so are they all wrong? However, the bottom line is that UKIP Policy is set by Nigel. He decided a more populist reform policy was preferable to an uncompromising abolitionist policy. That is the prerogative of the UKIP Party Leader and there is nothing UKIP Wales can do about it. Of course, if chasing populist votes is the name of the game then every other party in Wales supports the EU. So maybe UKIP Wales needs to change from withdrawal from the EU to reform the EU?

There was some discussion on the MEPs code of conduct and the nine points it covered. Nothing really new was said. Basically the argument has now become circular and old ground is being re-hashed. The Code of Conduct signed by UKIP’s MEP Candidates is too weak and not enforceable. Stable doors and bolted horses come to mind. The lesson for next time needs to be learned and the document needs to clearly spell out what is expected.

The concept of “friends” groups was also discussed, as there is a request to recognise Hindu Friends of UKIP Group. As we have already recognised a UKIP Friends of Israel group, it makes it almost impossible to object to anyone who wants to attach the UKIP name to their own particular cause. Personally I would not officially recognise any “friends” groups as I consider them divisive and completely against UKIP’s supposed policy of not pandering to special interest groups. As it turn out the UKIP Friends of Israel have nearly a full page in the next issue of Independence News. Another dangerous precedent in my opinion. However, what do I know?

David Coburn made a brief presentation on why we should hold the 2012 spring conference in Gibraltar but as Steve Crowther informed the NEC that it was going to be in Skegness this made the whole discussion a bit pointless.

We were now running out of time. Nigel had already left to get ready for the Patrons’ Club pre-dinner drinks at 6.00pm and of course the important people on the NEC also needed to be getting over there promptly.

As usual, there was a lot of talk but very few or more accurately no real meaningful decisions taken. There is no NEC Meeting in August but I’m sure the Party will somehow manage to survive without our guiding hand. After all, if you look on page 18 of your Independence News you will see a comprehensive listing of “Who’s Who in UKIP” and the NEC is conspicuous by its absence!

As usual there were many things said that I have not covered but these are my high point recollections. There will be an official report by the Party Chairman posted on the Members forum in due course.

& Here it is parsed with comments:

Hi,

everyone, sorry this digest is a little late but I just couldn’t summon up enthusiasm to type up my notes on the way home on Monday night. I put this down to the pint and a half I had in the Sherlock Homes before getting on the train and I have been very busy with my real life (visiting clients and earning money) since Monday.

To be honest nothing of any great importance was discussed at the NEC, which is about par for the course.

G.L-W.:  I have been reporting in some detail on NEC meetings for many years and I agree this judgement – In fact so do UKIP leadership who have often told their members not to read my various blogs and ‘e’Mails as they are bunkum – well then clearly as they have NEVER managed to show a single dishonesty or inaccuracy one is forced to conclude the facts I provide which ARE without exception true show UKIP NEC just spout ‘bunkum’.

As Steve makes clear – ‘It was ever thus’.

No papers were distributed in advance of the NEC

G.L-W.: Obviously as that would require planning and also members are aware so I presume Steve is ‘no one on the NEC or in UKIP’s leadership and its parasites trust eachother’.

so once again it was try to listen, read, understand and then make some useful input on the hoof.

G.L-W.: Why when no one cares nor listens and Farage and his little claque make all the decisions anyway.

I personally am just not mentally nimble enough to do this. I am considering sending my apologies to the next NEC when no papers are circulated in advance since that will obviously mean nothing of any importance is on the agenda.

G.L-W.: Had you thought of actimng with integrity Steve and rsigning? That would at least not lend credibility to the corrupt scam; just as did Tony Scholfield, Nikki Sinclaire, Del Young, John Whittacker, Dr. Eric Edmonds, Richard Suchorzewski, Dr. David Abbott, Petrina Holdsworth, Linda Guest, Gill Chant, Roger Knapman, John de Rourke, Anthony Butcher, John Pratt, Gregg Beaman, Simon Muir, Peter Watson – all of whom and more are no longer willing to have their reputation befouled by association with elected office in UKIP.

G.L-W.: Clearly as crass and amateur as previous constitutions. No doubt a back door way of introducing the scams that were rejected by the members when last UKIP leadership and his parasites tried to dupe the members!

The review meeting managed to get about half way through the third draft before it ran out of time.

G.L-W.: So like previous constitutions it will be amateur and shoddy leaving UKIP facing the Courts yet more with a collection of unwinnable cases based on an as usual incompetent constitution – How many £100,000s will it cost in stupidity this time?

There was some discussion over a clause that defined the NEC as the party’s Board of Directors and, after the Leader, the party’s principal authority. The “after the leader” was vigorously contested by several of the working party and the agreement reached was that the NEC had to have final authority on all admin and financial matters and The leader would participate in these discussions as an equal member of the NEC.

G.L-W.: So the yes men will be lined up to bootlick as ever. That is how come the NEC is composed of mainly dross now – Just who amongst them would YOU put on the board of YOUR Company? Many have convictions as far as I can see and have been found to have defrauded the public purse and been ordered to repay money fraudullently obtained – Who on earth would trust these liars and pond life?

The NEC was also keen to maintain final authority over the party manifesto, but accepted in principle that the leader was responsible for the political direction of the party.

G.L-W.: UKIP NEC has no say as has been shown time and time again with the lies, distortions and fabrications of Farage on TV as an example – it seems he is only outshone as a liar by Annabelle Fuller and Mick McGough!

This actually came up in the main NEC after lunch when the Welsh Assembly Elections were discussed. (More on this later).

G.L-W.: Just as an aside to show the utter unprofessionalism of UKIP – The Devolved EU Assemblyfor Wales is risibly known as The Welsh Assembly Government or The National Assembly for Wales. For details of The Welsh Assembly CLICK HERE

The main NEC kicked off with apologies for absence. Michael Zuckerman was not present but it was explained that he considered his term of office expired in March and as he was not seeking re-election, he would not be attending any more NEC Meetings.

G.L-W.: This is normally called a resignation but he is right he Burton, Denny & Coburn all expired as members of The NEC in March though they may well have been officially extended as Yes Men for lack of a new crop.

Rachel Oxley was also absent but as the Chairman announced her resignation from the NEC it was not a surprise she was not at the meeting.

G.L-W.: Oxley’s resignation letter was published on this blog some time ago CLICK HERE

G.L-W.: Astonishingly for a group pretending to political aspirations there are barely enough legitimate elected NEC members to form a Quorum – thus yet again the Claque of co-optees and MEPs become Farage’s new dictatorship.

Such incompetence is hardly inspirationsl when one considers the catastrophic results from the last National Election and the farcical posturing of the Mare of Ramsey and the Party afterwards having achieved nothing of note after 18 years at a cost of £Millions!

Junius says: No wonder UKIP is in the red!

G.L-W.: What a dishonest debacle this most undeniably has been – a study in bad and incompetent leadership that has done yet more to split the party with liars and cheats like Stuart Agnew MEP, Mick McGough and the like fronting the scam for a PEPP backed up by the oleaginous Michael Greaves who would seem to be just another Tory failure of no merit but much p**s and wind – like so many before him in UKIP!

Steve Crowther pointed out that the result of the ballot would be binding on all MEPs. Either all would join a P-EP or none would join.

G.L-W.: Immediately and in a spirit of professionalism Gerard Batten pointed out that Steve Crowther didn’t have a clue what he was talking about as usual – perhaps Crowther would serve himself well were he to read up on the rules of The EU – however many such pretend agreements are put in place they haven’t a shred of authority as they are ultra virese. The EU states that elected MEPs can NOT be bound to a policy or to vote a certain way by a whip or a party.

UKIP’s unprofessionalism just makes them look endlessly stupid!

Gerard Batten, attending the NEC as one of the MEP Representatives (the other this time was Paul Nuttall) pointed out he would not join a P-EP that did not have a commitment to withdrawal in its articles.

Junius says: And there was us thinking that Gerard would never join a PEP under ANY circumstances!

G.L-W.: Thus clearly whatever UKIP members vote at a cost of upto £10K+ UKIP MEPs will do what Nigel Farage tells them and please don’t expect either Gerard Batten or John Buffton to develope a backbone and stand on their own feet as it might harm their chances of re-election and representing these United Kingdoms or their constituents has absolutely no significance to them as they have made very clear.

Currently there is no P-EP that has such a commitment. It may be that in the event of a “YES” vote in the ballot then UKIP would need to set up its own P-EP in order to have such a commitment enshrined in the P-EP’s constitution.

G.L-W.: UKIP has shown no signs of setting up a leadership nor even a structure so do try to talk some sense Steve!

G.L-W.: So Denny, UKIP NEC and others will be only too happy to exploit any EU Law for personal gain and as stated seek votes from people who would not wish to vote for UKIP by subterfuge!!

How proud UKIP must be that having been an unmittigated disaster in Domestic votes for 18 years with less than 30 elected individuals out of some 19,500 available elected offices they now stoop to forming other parties to dupe the public.

We note during an EU Election UKIP set out to defeat a rival by stealing their name – yet more dishonest are the two UKIP members Andrew Smith and Mick McGough who despite their position in UKIP where one of the slimes is on The NEC they are in total breech of UKIP’s own rules and have jointly registered a UKIP spoiler party!

Nigel gave his leaders report. As per usual, nothing had been circulated in advance. Basically, all’s well with the world and things are going great.

 Junius says: Ouch!
G.L-W.: Junius seems to overlook the intelligence and political nouse of the audience to whom he was delivering the report so any old schpiel from UKIP’s sales rep would do!

The Patrons’ Club continues to expand and the dinner that night was oversubscribed.

G.L-W.: Not very convincing!

G.L-W.: Are we to assume Gerard Batten will not attend as The EFD is not a withdrawalist group it is pro EU Membership, pro reform (undefined), Racist, anti Homosexual, anti Jewish and has openly advocated killing immigrants from North Africa without a murmur of censure form other members!

How proud UKIP must be to have such associates in the gutter they have chosen to frequent!

A good idea really and one that would legitimately put EU/MEP money into the conference. Interesting to see how many MEPs take up this suggestion?

G.L-W.: Rather more significant would be to see an MEP make ANY donation to the party other than to get themselves re-elected so as to buy a larger pension for themselves.

A new recruitment brochure was flashed in front of the NEC. This has been sent to the Regional Organisers for comment. It was not passed round to the NEC.

G.L-W.: Clearly the NEC may think they are important but The MEPs and leadership claque do not!

Legal matters was its usual depressing report. Least said about it the better

Junius says: UKIP face ANOTHER day in court this week. Their costs could be in excess of £30,000. More on this later.

G.L-W.: UKIP have a startling record and list of guilty verdicts over the years – have they one where they were NOT found guilty?

Finance showed we were in the red but not badly so. The cash flow looked worse than it was because all the costs for the conference were known but ticket sales had not yet started so that was making the situation look worse than it really was. The Deputy Treasure explained in his report that this was because the outgoings on the conference were definite items of expenditure we would be making but ticket sales were only a possible income we might be getting. So, prudence said we had to assume we wouldn’t sell any tickets until the money actually started to come in.

G.L-W.: The treasurer being Stuart Wheeler who has already stated he is not interested in the dishonesty of the accounts and his deputy Hugh Williams having a proven track record of dishonesty and cheating members I guess this report is about as trustworthy as they used to be when that liar and charlatan Andrew Smith pretended to keep the books!

Jonathan Arnott has taken over the management of the introduction of the new membership database. He has only been doing this for a couple of weeks so is still getting to grips with the brief. I would have liked some form of written report and hopefully this will eventually be forthcoming. However, I’m not holding my breath!

Junius says: Don’t hold your breath. Jonathon ‘frightened rabbit’ Arnott is about as much use as a chocolate fireplace. If he had just one brain cell, he’d be dangerous.

G.L-W.: Perhaps Junius is a little harsh on the lad as he did get a degree in sums and even taught maths in a little private school for a while. I understand he obtained a Masters qualification in the consumption of pies – as skill in whichh I gather his fellow members in Sheffield excel

Junius says: More twisted Farage logic. So as the Welsh voted for more devolution in the March referendum it would be undemocratic for UKIP to abolish the assembly? So what about the 1975 referendum? British people voted to stay in the EEC. Shouldn’t UKIP then support continued EU membership using the result of that referendum as the basis for their argument?

G.L-W.: UKIP is little more than a rather bad joke in Wales – this is not the first catastrophic intervention by Farage as many will remember the stumble bum drunk in the frock he introduced at the last minute in a previous election:

Previous to that he foist the self serving and untrustworthy Jim Carver on UKIP Wales to sell his umbrellas and latterly with the duplicitous David Lott to seek to corrupt an election based upon lies and corruption.

G.L-W.: So UKIP may wish to be democratically elected and resent the lack of democracy in the EU but do not even accept the first principles of democracy within their own organisation and for all the fuss show there is absolutely no point in having a Constitution as being a dictatorship every item can be set aside by Farage with out consultation and hinderance!

This was noted by one long term supporter of UKIP and sent to me witjh the lament that ‘IF you exchanged Farage for Chavez it was sadly almost exactly accurate of UKIP:

…thus exposing a major weakness of Chavez’s government which is that the leader has no heir. That is partly by design, of course. Chavez has put loyalty to himself before loyalty to the state, squashed any rival to his power (even top lieutenants keep low profiles) and surrounded himself with talentless cronies. Approval ratings of leading members of his party languish in the low 30s. Thus Chavism as a political movement has a limited future.

Sadly how very true!

G.L-W.: So the membership and the donors can go and get stuffed as long as they keep Farage in the manner he has come to expect at the expense of UKIP and in betrayal of these United Kingdoms – where as shown in this example alone he clearly states his disinterest in principles and integrity, leadership or morality, ethics or democracy – ANY expediency will do to get hiself elected!

Of course, if chasing populist votes is the name of the game then every other party in Wales supports the EU. So maybe UKIP Wales needs to change from withdrawal from the EU to reform the EU?

Junius says: Confirmation that UKIP is a dictatorship under one man.

G.L-W.:But UKIP does support The EU and is even campaigning to help undermine Patriotic domestic politics – hardly surprising in view of their risible results in domestic elections – their only hope is in doing well for themselves in The EU, whatever principles they may prostitute to do so!

G.L-W.:  As already stated this is utter cobblers!

The concept of “friends” groups was also discussed, as there is a request to recognise Hindu Friends of UKIP Group. As we have already recognised a UKIP Friends of Israel group, it makes it almost impossible to object to anyone who wants to attach the UKIP name to their own particular cause.

G.L-W.:  Especially as Friends of Israel are utterly corrupt and based upon unsound ethics being in fact Friends of Zionism one of the great evils on this planet with which no political party should EVER be associated. How does UKIP justify the massacres by the Zionist Terrorists of the IDF?

How does UKIP justify the fascist style slaughter of Palestinians in their own homes?

How does UKIP justify the creation of a ghetto surrounded by concrete walls and razor wire and attacked by helicopter gunships and turned to rubble with tanks by zionist filth?

Hated by The Jewish peoples world wide:

Personally I would not officially recognise any “friends” groups as I consider them divisive and completely against UKIP’s supposed policy of not pandering to special interest groups. As it turn out the UKIP Friends of Israel have nearly a full page in the next issue of Independence News. Another dangerous precedent in my opinion. However, what do I know?

G.L-W.:  I totally agree with Steve on this point – That UKIP are friends with such vile people and with the revolting racists, anti homosexual and anti Jewish supporters of membership of The EU speaks volumes of the ethics of UKIP in a manner no amount of denial will expunge!

David Coburn made a brief presentation on why we should hold the 2012 spring conference in Gibraltar but as Steve Crowther informed the NEC that it was going to be in Skegness this made the whole discussion a bit pointless.

G.L-W.: What keeps David Coburn’s ears apart as clearly it isn’t common sense – nor is it likely this would be approved as the party dictator and Steve’s resume shows Farage is Dictator of UKIP, he would not be able to attend. Perhaps this clown Coburn should learn a little of the party and try to understand the EU before making a fool of himself.

Unsurprisingly Farage has left when Coburn was wasting everyone’s time!

We were now running out of time. Nigel had already left to get ready for the Patrons’ Club pre-dinner drinks at 6.00pm and of course the important people on the NEC also needed to be getting over there promptly.

G.L-W.: Steve has made it abundantly clear there is no one of importance on the NEC, those of any merit are long gone and even the lees of the leadership claque are no more than a joke in bad taste!

Junius says: Why are you so surprised? Fuhrer Farage makes all the decisions! We did warn you!

G.L-W.: Perhaps Steve would care to go back through the records of UKIP and establish when if ever The NEC had ANY relevance, any respect or any meaningful input. UKIP NEC are the posturing castrati of the UKIP choir singing for their master and droppings from his trough!

As usual there were many things said that I have not covered but these are my high point recollections. There will be an official report by the Party Chairman posted on the Members forum in due course.

Junius says: Why are you so surprised? Fuhrer Farage makes all the decisions! We did warn you!

G.L-W.:Hardly worth the effort with a mere handfull of members posting there and only to be noticed as they seek praise and position on the members’ heavily censored Forum.

It is hardly worth reading, in fact I rarely do these days as it is so boring and not a political brain cell in sight!

.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
As increasingly UKIP leaders and their parasites fall out and squabble like ferrests in a sack to keep their positions and access to self importance and their snouts in the troughs – you will note the calliber of the NEC has all but collapsed.
Even the dross is drifting off disgruntled with Rachel Oxley who was as much use as a soup sandwich, seemingly unwilling to carry on as just as she had no past achievements she realised there were none likely in the future.
Michael Zukerman has also drifted away no doubt in the realisation that he could not expect to make more money out of UKIP – you will note virtually every case UKIP has entered since he as a Solicitor joined has led to a Guilty verdict against UKIP. Such a track record can not have helped the record of Bent & Manure!
We still see the liar Derek Clark posing & posdturing, when he can hear what is going on, I wonder when he will have the integrity to admit he is a liar and appologise for his basic dishonesty – he may even care to tell members just howmuch he was ordered to repay to The EU when found guilty of stealing public money by OLAF – a difficult item to report on as he is still waiting for details of the action his local constabulary will be taking against him
We note that having read the OLAF Report available under FoI that removed any pretence of inaccuracy in the Sunday Times article that he may have tried to promote Mike Nattrass has decided to withdraw his threats of prosecution against The Sunday Times.
As I recal The Sunday Times offered to publish the updated info but Nattrass didn’t want that he demanded an apology and was claiming they had prevented him from being UKIP leader (some will remember when the summer holidays ended Mike decided to have an extended holiday in The Phillipines and wasn’t even around until the later part of the leadership election.
Dellusionaly that did not stop him claiming ‘it was The ST wot dun it‘ or he would have won so he demanded a full apology.
Well he did til he realised just how close he had come to being found guilty and like Graham Booth being forced to repay money as also with Farage, West, Titford and Clark.
The threats and bluster have collapsed like a pricked balloon and I expect Nattrass will hope for the update to get the egg off his face.
One has to wonder if Stuart Agnew and David Bannerman will get off as lightly, in view of their confessions and fraud..
Just because they follow the populist argument that that is what the public seem to want does NOT necessarily make it right for the country in the context of British independence or long-term stability. It does not do these things; it is pure short-term, short-sighted politics.
The public have not been properly informed for forty years what the EU is all about, nor do they know much about the real issues involved in regional government or Regional Assemblies as they have been (deliberately) kept largely in the dark about it. They know so little about the EU itself – why do people seem to think they know much about the implications of Regional government and Assemblies?
The public are wrong to accept regional assemblies and devolved government because it breaks up the existing system of local government and promotes the EU’s ideology of regional government. On that basis UKIP should oppose it – and UKIP would be RIGHT in doing so.
In fact regional devolution goes against the primary rationale of UKIP in my opinion – to oppose all EU inspired constructs which interfere with the existing political structure of Great Britain, and especially if such interference assists in the breakup of the United Kingdom. UKIP should be conserving the constitution of the UK, not helping to break it up.
The implied opposition to the EU, and support for a United Kingdom is incorporated into our very name: The United Kingdom Independence Party.
————
It is now Nigel Farage’s policy – and therefore UKIP’s because the Leader has ultimate authority to make or change policy without reference to anyone – to accept a “Federal United Kingdom”. … a system of separate federal governmental ‘states’ within Britain. (All coming under the overall jurisdiction of the EU of course !)
I publicly state now I profoundly disagree with this stance.
I have to go along with it if the Leader says that is what it is because I have no choice – but I still disagree with it.
This case is an excellent example of where UKIP, after the Roger Knapman inspired change in UKP’s constitution, (to have only the Leader determining policy without reference to the NEC or anyone else) is now in a profoundly precarious situation with a particular policy, having one person only determining that policy – and that person can do so and change it on the hoof. It should be perfectly obvious it is highly dangerous, and this is an example of it.
It is a recipe for division within the party – as well as being as a policy – de facto – divisive for the country. The pan-European parties issue is another example of potentially highly divisive policy within the party, but at least in this case the membership get to make the final decision.
Having as official policy the support of devolved regional governments is a highly dangerous and worrying course for UKIP to take in my opinon.
Regional government and assemblies is a direct EU construct.
A “Federal Britain” of regional governments is an excellent way of encouraging squabbling between them. They then become ripe for takeover if they wish to devolve further by direct control from Brussels in the future. Divide and rule (i.e. and therefore conquer) is as true and effective a strategy now as it always has been in history.
Supporting devolution and regional assemblies as official policy does not enhance our profile in the country as the known and respected opposition party to the EU.
As a policy it will not win votes.
It assists the EU in its agenda.
It goes directly against UKIP’s principles in my opinon.
For the population size of this country we do not need devolved regional governments for good, effective, efficient government.
We have had a perfectly good system of democratically elected representatives meeting in a single parliament, and a regional system of local government as county and District councils. It worked perfectly well for hundreds of years – it could do so again – but only if, and when, we can get rid of the dead hand of the EU around the throat of the Westminster parliament which is presently throttling it.
Like everything the EU does: devolved government and regional assemblies are a chimera, a lie, a sop to the worst instincts of the public to pretend they have better democracy, and it bamboozles them into thinking they get better government whereas in reality they DO NOT.
The public fall for it every time as they are just stupid.
The EU is still making those 80% of all rules, regulations, laws and directives just the same – and there is nothing the regional devolved “governments” can do about it. “Devolved government” and Mickey-Mouse Regional Assemblies are just a sham of democracy. UKIP should – and rightly so – oppose them.
Douglas Denny.
Stuart AGNEW NFU MEP Tries To Justify His Dishonesty
 Hi,
it really is astonishing, well I guess not in that Stuart Agnew NFU MEP has been shown and proven to have been involved in breech of electoral law, money laundering in cahoots with the ridiculously incompetent and duplicitous fool Malcolm Lord Pearson and also embroiled in conspiring to involve an innocent party in a criminal act by deception and then also involved, together with David Bannerman the liar and fraud MEP who has now betrayed both UKIP & The Tories, they were shown to be involved together defrauding the tax payers a case which I believe is still under investigation by OLAF and which will eventually be passed on to The British Police to prosecute.
The sums involved would seem to be about the same as those obtained by Tom Wise which you may recall he obtained as a result of signature by Lindsay Jenkins and from which Nigel Farage derived direct benefit in paying a personal bill of around £5,000.
You may recall Tom Wise went to prison for much the same crime and much the same amount!
Astonishingly the odious and clearly dishonest Stuart Agnew having obviously little understanding of ethics or morality would seem to have almost no understanding of democracy or decency either!
This particularly concerned one member of UKIP who took the trouble to clarify the details of Stuart Agnew’s that he would betray the principles of democracy and ignore the democratic will of the party.
Just who does this arrogant fool think he is? Little wonder it is he and Mick McGough who are so clearly lieing through their teath to try to dupe UKIP’s more gullible members into assisting The EU by supporting PEPP membership to ‘give a clearer EUropean identity to Political Parties’.
I include Stuart Agnews quite astonishing response – even showing that although the selection of UKIP MEP candidates in his EU region was undeniably and utterly corrupt with liars like Mick McGough, David Bannerman and their ilk corrupting the process as shown CLICK HERE it was clearly with the collusion of low lifes like Stuart Agnew, Andrew Smith, Stuart Gulleford, Peter Reeve, Paul Nuttall, George Curtis etc.
Mr Agnew has stated on video that he would join a PEPP irrespective of the outcome of the ballot.
As this statement directly refutes the result of the democratic ballot to be held on the subject if that ballot decides NO, I wrote to Mr Agnew asking for clarification of his position .
His reply does indicate that he will abide by the democratic result and hence I withdraw my criticisms and apologise for possibly misleading members with  statements that are not true. I will delete any such references
Below is the reply Mr Agnew addressed to me:
Dear REDACTED
Thank you for your email dated 9th July 2011.
At the beginning of the campaign we were informed that the result would not be binding. I was therefore free, at that stage, to do what I felt would have been in the best interests of the Party, in my own opinion.
This might even have meant defying the wishes of  my own Regional Committee, and really going it alone. In such a circumstance, I would have to be very confident that I could deliver a result. The result would need to be a significant proportion of the 36,000 euros (net) per year that I would have access to being applied to the tangible benefit of the Eastern Counties.
Had I failed to achieve this, I could have rightfully expected de-selection by the Party as an MEP candidate next time around. Had I succeeded, I would still have needed to justify my conduct to the Eastern members and they would have had to make the decision of acknowledging that I had proved my point and re-instating me. Or insisting that my conduct was reprehensible, irrespective of any achievement, and punishing me accordingly.
My motivation for sticking my head on the block in this way is that in the last two European Parliament elections I have been the largest single financial donor to the Eastern Counties election funds. I will be expected to put in another big effort next time and I would quite naturally want to use all tools at my disposal. In my view turning £10 into £100 is a good move.
However, all of this is now theoretical as the NEC have ruled that the result will be binding.
I would like you to  know that I respect and adhere to NEC decisions, even if I do not necessarily agree with them.
You should also know that in 2008, all MEP candidates signed up to a list of principles/commitments/codes of conduct.
Of the 13 MEPs elected, I think that there are now only three of us who are adhering to all of these points, and their subsequent redefinitions, to the letter. I will not name names of course, but those who chose to lecture me about principles have not observed the principles they themselves signed up to.
I do hope that this makes my position clearer.  Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart Agnew  MEP
~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
Hi,

I tried to find The Strasbourg reports from other UKIP MEPs who may have attended this plenary but without success – Here is the report from Nikki Sinclaire MEP – for all I could find at UKIP web site they might has well have stayed at home – Perhaps they did.

June 2011
Questioning the President of the European Commission.
One of the advantages I have as a non-attached member of the European Parliament – I am not a member of any political group – Is that I have more opportunities to speak on important issues. Within the political groups it tends to be only the Presidents of the groups who get important speaking time.

On Tuesday I was able to question Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Commission.

I asked him how it might be possible to have common EU policies when time and time again we see an inability to reach consensus on important issues such as foreign relations and security and defence. I suggested that it would not be possible to implement common policy without some loss of democracy for the EU member states.
The President’s reply was evasive to say the least. I think I hit a raw nerve.
I was also able to ask a supplementary question concerning pan-European political parties.
He confirmed to me that these parties are an integral part of EU integration, and the development of the EU as a state in its own right.
We must be aware of this, and not be seduced – as some clearly are – by the promise of extra cash if our own politicians allow themselves to be subsumed into these wretched pan-European political parties.

Parliament asks for another €1.9 billion!
At a time of extreme austerity, the EU knows no cuts, and simply asks for more and more….
Galileo is the EU’s global satellite navigation system. The project has been beset with problems, and appears to be floundering. Therefore, the taxpayer is expected to fork out an extra €1.9 billion in order to bring the project up to speed. Of course, I voted against this.
Galileo is 100% taxpayer funded, as attempts to attract foreign investment failed. At one point, China became involved, and there was discussion about allowing the Chinese to use Galileo as part of its missile targeting system. When common sense prevailed and this idea was jettisoned, the Chinese moved ahead with their own system – the Beidou/Compass satellites – which are already being deployed whilst the EU’s project languishes in the bureaucratic doldrums.
EU tax – another attempt to grab our cash!
Many EU states operate a ‘vignette’ system of taxing vehicles. The system is likely to be rolled out across the EU, with member states being able to tax foreign HGVs using their roads, if they wish.
The European Parliament’s Transport Committee has called for 15% of all revenue raised in this way to be handed over to the EU to help fund their own transport projects.
This is just one of a number of ‘EU taxes’ that are being discussed at the moment. I shall, of course, vote against every single one of these proposals.
Hiding the costs!
A recurring and divisive theme in the European Parliament is the cost of relocating MEPs and staff to Strasbourg for 4 days every month.
On June 8th in Strasbourg, parliamentarians debated a report on the EU’s finances. The report contained a reference to the savings that could be made to the taxpayer by ending the ludicrous practice of having two seats. An attempt was made to quietly delete this reference, and to keep the extravagance hushed up. No less than 282 MEPs voted for the cover-up, but it was defeated, and the waste remains exposed.
I was amused to note that three British Conservative MEPs voted for the cover-up, but then retrospectively changed their vote. This is an administrative exercise only – their original vote could have affected the outcome, changing it subsequently would have no effect. I often wonder exactly what the Tories are really up to in Europe…
Scotch Whisky – under threat
I always enjoy meeting representatives of British industry in Strasbourg, and helping in any way that I can. I was therefore delighted when Mike Nattrass and I had the opportunity to meet with Nick Soper of the Scotch Whisky Association.

Whilst the EU is very precious about ensuring that continental brands are protected – Parma Ham must be from Parma, Cognac must be from Cognac, etc – Scotch Whisky suffers from the fact that the origin need not be shown clearly as part of the product name. If it says ‘Scotch Whisky’, it is of course from Scotland, but if it just says ‘Whisky’, then take care – it may be from Moldova, Brazil, or anywhere in between.

Journalist to newly elected MEP;
“UKIP want the UK to leave the EU, so why are you taking up seats in the European Parliament, an institution you oppose.”

Newly elected MEP to Journalist;
“Simple. We are going there to wreck it!”

Douglas Denny’s response show that about 10 years too late the foolish little chap (UKIP NEC Sycophant & serial liar) is showing signs of waking up. I wonder if he will have the integrity to apologise for all his lies, fabrications of fantasies, gullibility and outright dishonesty.

Personally I see no signs that he is either man enough or honourable – so I think not!

If only they could do some wrecking. But they cannot.

We have had MEPs for many years – tell me – how much actual wrecking have they achieved by being in the EU system in all this time?

All they are doing is engaging in the ‘approved’ and ‘official’ system. They are a part of it – absorbed and responding as required. With no real powers to do anything. They are political eunuchs.

They have become like cyborgs in the ‘Startreck’ movies:
Journalist to new mep in reply:-   “Resistance is futil..you will be absobed into the Collective”.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
Hi,
yet another vote of thanks to The Sunday Times for doing UKIP’s job for them.
Once again The Insight Team.
It is hardly surprising that UKIP get so little coverage of anything they do – so little of it is of any consequence and you can hardly expect The Sunday Times to be falling over themselves when endlessly UKIP’s parasites are insulting The Sunday Times and its journalists – that is when they are not trying to take them to Court and threatening them – such a good way to make friends especially when UKIP Press Office has called its own MEPs ‘complete F*** Wits’ and openly and deliberately lied to The Sunday Times and its journalists.
Almost a training manual of how to make friends and influence people in the style of The John Cleese Rank Xerox training films – which required a Monty Pythonesque understanding of black humour!
Cash-for-laws row may force MEPs out of second jobs
In an emergency meeting on Thursday, the parliament’s main political leaders voted to beef up the MEPs’ code of conduct
Former Romanian deputy prime minister Adrian Severin tabled an amendment for payment (STO)
Euro MPS could be barred from taking outside jobs as the parliament brings in tough rules to combat corruption in the wake of The Sunday Times cash-for-amendments scandal.
In an emergency meeting on Thursday, the parliament’s main political leaders voted to beef up the MEPs’ code of conduct and to overhaul the rules governing lobbyists.
The move was prompted by this newspaper’s disclosures that MEPs had attempted to change laws after being offered payments by undercover reporters posing as lobbyists.
A working group will be set up to bring in rules governing MEPs and lobbyists. Among the proposals to be discussed is whether MEPs should be forced to step down from outside jobs if there is a conflict of interest with their work in parliament.
Some MEPs are asking for the reforms to go further and prohibit all outside jobs. “We are being paid well by the public to do a job in the parliament and there is no reason why we should be able to keep parallel employment that could lead to a conflict of interest,” said Monica Macovei, an MEP and anti-corruption activist.
Many of the proposals were put forward by Jerzy Buzek, the parliament’s president. He said last week: “We need to look very closely at the question of what we expect from MEPs, both in terms of their own behaviour and their contacts with outside interests of various kinds.”
The rules are likely to mean that MEPs are forced to update their entry to the register of financial interests every month, rather than once a year, which is the current requirement. MEPs may also have to record a “legislative footprint” that will list all outside organisations advising them as they prepare new laws and reports.
One immediate change has already been enforced following this newspaper’s revelations two weeks ago.
From now on lobbyists will no longer be able to move freely around the parliament with a yearly pass.
They will have to register each time they enter the building and state the names of people they want to meet. A mandatory register is being proposed for all lobbyists and others who wish to influence legislation.
“It is fair to say that we have been prompted into action by The Sunday Times but the changes will eventually benefit the parliament and the European Union institutions in general,” a parliament official said.
Leaders of parliament’s main political groups also gave unanimous backing to the action taken against the MEPs named by The Sunday Times: Ernst Strasser, an Austrian former interior minister; Zoran Thaler, a Slovenian former foreign minister; and Adrian Severin, a former Romanian deputy prime minister. Strasser’s home in Austria was searched last week.
Strasser and Thaler have resigned but Severin is staying on as an MEP despite being ousted from his group and his party.
UKIP Elected MEP Nikki SINCLAIRE SEEKS TO EXPOSE MORE EU INDUSTRIAL LEVEL CORRUPTION!
This is the planned follow on promised in The News of The World, not just Penny Ante errors presented as fiddles but the Industrial level structured corruption Sinclaire has shown the Team!
I have read the text of the article and this is not cobbled together footling over claims on expenses – this material far exceeds the  ‘Expenses Scams at Westminster’ exposed by Heather Brooke.
Guy even states:
‘The figures are well above the generous handouts available to British MPs that led to the expenses abuse scandal which swept through Parliament’.
As an aside I gather Sinclaire has asked written questions as to why, when there is no official business at Strasbourg on a Friday MEPs are GIVEN €280 for a days allowance just to sign in?
IF half the MEPs steal this money (legitimised by corrupt rules) that is public money down the drain to enrich MEPs and their staff!
.
~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
Hi,
I recently received this from Guy who I have known for some time and have historically found to be trustworthy and honourable, if at times a little confused on ethics and principles having displayed a thin grasp of the concept of ‘corruption’, a cause of conversation where his moral compass took a bit of a battering regarding Tory fund raising recently 😉
Hi Nikki,
This is an updated version. (The other name on it, David Coverdale, works with me, and should be in Brussels for you to meet.)
Added in more about your stance (will try to get a web link or similar in), and distanced you more from the allowances.
I’ve updated the figures but we need to check the table. I’ve estimated the Parliamentary Assistance Allowance for now, but it’s closer.
Let me know if you want me to forward to Greg, or if you can send on.
My Editor is very keen on this, which is great for us.
I will let you know my travel arrangements to Brussels a bit later, but we’re certainly going to give it another go.
It will be same as before, but we’ll be arriving with photographers earlier on Thursday to prepare as best as possible.
Hope all is good with you.
Guy.
By GUY BASNETT and DAVID COVERDALE
A BRITISH Euro-MP today opens her accounts to the News of the World to reveal how Brussels politicians are handed £2.6 MILLION a-TERM in salaries and expenses.
Independent MEP Nikki Sinclaire says lavish allowances and perks in the European Union have now hit up to Euros 599,817 (£518,814) a year for each and every MEP.
It would add up to a staggering £2.6m each….. CUT
It is interesting to see The Murdoch Press still taking a principled stance with this follow on from the story lined up for them last week by Nikki Sinclaire, exposing the tip of the iceberg on the industrial level corruption she seeks to expose within the EU, whilst still trying – despite endless attacks by individuals who seek to fleece the tax payer by milking the system for all it is worth.
The copy scheduled for this Sunday is far more hard hitting and exposes a great deal more than the tip of the iceberg as Guy Basnett and his team show the industrial level of the corruption in the EU. Sinclaire has gone to extraordinary levels to open doors for The News of The World team which has been to and from the EU pleasure domes in numbers for several weeks. She has given them absolute access to her time and her books where even a hardened journalist like Guy has clearly gone on the record stating he is impressed with how hard she works and the lengths she will go to to help him expose the EU corruption in a very trusting manner and he is impressed with how genuine he has found her to be.

Guy has thanked me effusively for the suggestion and has promised he will ensure she features in a good light to help her efforts for The Petition for a Referendum in return for her honest and hard working contributions.I am also of the understanding that not one cent has been paid to Sinclaire for any part of this story as she sees the exposing of The EU’s corruption as a part of her elected job.
Perhaps The Murdoch Press is trying to redeem itself after a number of very high profile failures in Court as with The Max Moseley case which they lost reputedly costing them £1M in damages and I guess around that or more in expenses. Not to mention the use of criminally obtained telephone communications and data!
I have heard a very clear whisper that the slime in the EU are doing all they can to silence Nikki Sinclaire, including an admission from one newspaper that they have been offered stolen records actually stolen from her office.

Let us see what filth crawls out of the woodwork with penny ante tittle tattle and gossip based on small beer accounting errors seemingly planted in her accounts! Let us see who is working for the EU and the protection of the industrialised scams and fiddles of The EU – who is acting in self interest for personal reward and gain and which paper will then be willing to leap into the gutter to assist The EU in its industrial rip off of the tax payers.

I wonder who and which newspaper will be happy to prostitute itself to such a level just for their own personal gain and to aid MEPs and their staff continue engorging themselves at the expense of The Tax Payers and in betrayal of these United kingdoms without ethics, without principle and without integrity JUST FOR THEIR OWN GAIN!

FROM THE PRESS COMPLAINTS COMMISSION:

10 *Clandestine devices and subterfuge
i) The press must not seek to obtain or publish material acquired by using hidden cameras or clandestine listening devices; or by intercepting private or mobile telephone calls, messages or emails; or by the unauthorised removal of documents or photographs; or by accessing digitally-held private information without consent.
ii) Engaging in misrepresentation or subterfuge, including by agents or intermediaries, can generally be justified only in the public interest and then only when the material cannot be obtained by other means.
for the rest of the PCC guidelines see:

http://www.pcc.org.uk/cop/practice.html

One need only consider the efforts of those defending the EU and its corruption and the self serving corruption within UKIP to attack and defame this blog and me personally. The desperation of low lifes and liars like Mick McGough, Douglas Denny, Skeptyk, Mark Croucher, John Ison, Stuart Parr and others seeking crumbs from the table of The EU who have as yet never ONCE found me to have deliberately published a single dishonest fact nor even accidentally publish a consequential or material error which has needed correction – NEVER ONE ERROR of consequence deliberately posted to mislead but it does not stop UKIP’s seried ranks of liars corruptly defaming me.

ADDITION AT 2011-Feb-20 03:04hrs.:

It is interesting to note that now that the paper has published on line in full the excellent story, which I HAVE read and hold a copy of subject to last minute corrections (as last week), has fallen to the intervention of those protecting their positions at the troughs on the gravy train.

I do note due to the scurrilous nature of their claims and the fact that there is already a crime reference number in hand and that 10/1 of the PCC code pertained the clearly ‘Set Up’ story lacked any suitable credibility as an attack on Nikki Sinclaire – it is my opinion, based upon reliable whispers that it was largely Nigel Farage behind this seeking to protect against exposure of the 4000 account scam at a guess and worried that his route to riches might be damaged on the eve of his party mini conference where his adulants will be told how he can make yet more money by compliance with the EU in forming a Pan EU Political Party.

That Annabelle Fuller also colluded in the spoiler to aid The EU and corruption would also seem likely on information received but the primary source of what seems to have been stolen documents and fabricated evidence would seem to be John Ison yet again seeking to defame people for his own glorification and in the hope of ingratiating himself with UKIP’s corrupt leadership to fiddle his way into being an MEP whilst holding a salaried role in the interim.

This is not the first newspaper this scam has been tried on as you will remember the endless allegedlies in The Sunday Times when Jonathan Ungoed-Thomas made something of a fool of himself having failed to check his facts. At that stage Nikki Sinclaire opted to keep her powder dry until more evidence was to hand and third party witnesses were in place to testify.

The situation has somewhat changed I gather!

The tragedy is that in their greed and venal vitriol these sordid self serving Farage leadership filth have done much to wreck an incredibly good story exposing corruption of an industrial nature in the EU from being disseminated via the 7,000,000 claimed readers of the paper in question.

Just who are the Farage team actually working for as it does look very much as if it is for The EU and their own pockets yet again.

I regret 7,000,000 people are unlikely to see this item exposing The EU’s corruption just yet but be minded that I have the ear of numerous papers, a number of the opinion formers dip into this blog aware that they can quote EVERY item safe in the knowledge that in 1,000s of blogs I have NEVER made a material error and never once lied.

I believe that if the slime that have seized control of UKIP could make the same claim and had put in a fraction of the work exposing The EU during the last 18 years there would be every possibility we would now be liberated from The EU.

Many will seek more details and visit:

Hi,

I wonder could this be what little success extremist Parties supporting Racism, anti Judaism, sexual intollerance and violence in their EU Group are dependent on for their results? Managing to sustain a few MEPs adequate for self enrichment.

The same curiosity displayed in this video clip for Sarah Palin and perhaps out of the same fascination for the clear irresponsibility of such corrupt politicians, without competence or leadership skills – lurching from one bufoon to another for funding and support:
