Hi,
I have no authority to answer D1989’s question but I can put forward my view based on many years involvement with UKIP – though never a member.
I am indifferent to the childish antics of UKIP and am a believer that they have betrayed their electorate by pandering to personal ambitions rather than addressing the challenge they were elected to acquit.
They have put their own ambitions and enrichment before duty, due to poor leadership and the low caliber of its leadership team and its parasites many of whom are little more than the dregs of political aspiration and the amoral dregs and failures of the political scrabble.
They have pandered to populism lacking integrity, vision, strategy, tactics or political intelligence. A measure of their inadequacy has been the idiocy and failure to lead giving opportunity to utter inadequates to rise within their structure to positions of influence even providing position for the self interested to promote some very ill conceived concepts.
It is my belief that double guessing what UKIP might do if it was EVER successful is futile as without vision they just blow in the wind.
Would a political party of any rational understanding obtain liberty and restore the sovereign independence and restoration of democracy repatriating decision making to these United kingdoms only to throw away the immense advantages by playing into the hands of a lunatic minority who would wish to destroy the gains for personalised ambition smashing the union that has served us well.
IF any party were stupid enough to break up these United Kingdoms the most likely would be UKIP as they could be that stupid again due to lack of political nous or credible leadership.
UKIP to date has failed as in 20 years it has failed to produce an exit and survival strategy let alone a credible one. UKIP have failed to show and convince the UK public of the benefits of leaving the EU. UKIP has failed to build a credible structure. UKIP does not even have an organisational structure.
UKIP isn’t even leading the EUroSceptic sector in The UK – it has been a single ex-UKIP MEP now sitting as an Independent to bring about a debate to Leave-The-EU at Westminster where Nikki Sinclaire’s campaign produced the 100,000+ signatures required and UKIP took no part in the achievement!
UKIP may well prove to be our future hope but only with a root and branches clean up and a great deal of blood letting as out of the top 100 people there isn’t a single solitary individual of noticeable ability, integrity or morality with leadership skills – not even an individual who could capitalise on the undeniable skills of the present leader as a sales rep – a man so clearly indespensible to such an extent thaty were UKIP a commercial entity any M&A organisation would have no option but to fire him on day one.
Farage has become indespensible by dint of slaughter of all of competence and surrounding himself with maggots that make his abilities seem of value!
Many changes and decentralisations are required in these United Kingdoms WHEN we Leave-The-EU but no one of any sense would advocate the destruction of the UK, as all wopuld be the losers as divided we would be destroyed in short order on the competitive world stage – where the population of the planet has grown from 2 Billion when I was born to 7 Billion this week!
Leaving a sinking ship makes obvious sense but in consideration of the lifeboat it would be an act of madness to permit one occupant to take the rations, another to steal the oars and yet another to remove the rudder!
One need only read the posting I will be making on my UKIP-vs-EUkip blog shortly to comprehend just what a pernicious mess UKIP is – in my opinion!
