Media captionUKIP’s Paul Nuttall: “I am standing down with immediate effect”
UKIP’s Paul Nuttall has stood down as leader of the party after it failed to win any seats in the general election.
He has resigned with immediate effect and it was announced former party chairman Steve Crowther would lead UKIP on an interim basis.
Mr Nuttall took 3,308 votes in Boston and Skegness – more than 10,000 fewer votes than the party’s result in 2015.
He said it was clear “UKIP requires a new focus and new ideas” but was confident it had a “great future”.
Since resigning as leader he has deleted his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Mr Nuttall said the party was more relevant than ever and would continue to be “the guard dogs of Brexit”.
“The prime minister, and I suspect it will be a Tory, must know that if they begin to backtrack or barter things away then they must know they will be punished at the ballot box and that will only happen if UKIP is electorally viable and strong.
“We are in effect the country’s insurance policy on Brexit,” he said.
UKIP saw its popularity collapse in the election after securing only 593,852 votes – down from 3,881,099 in 2015.
Mr Nuttall said after the election of a new leader, the party needed to relaunch and rebrand itself and required a new focus, new ideas and a renewed energy.
“I say to members: keep the faith, politics will come back onto our turf and we have to be organised and ready to take full advantage when it does,” he said.
“To the voters I say: UKIP is still here and UKIP is not going away.”The party announced Mr Crowther had “overwhelmingly” been chosen by the national executive committee (NEC). He resigned as UKIP chairman in July 2016 but stood as a candidate in North Devon in the election.
UKIP chairman Paul Oakden said: “Conversations have taken place within the NEC to establish who is best placed to offer that stability in the very short term”.
He added: “Steve has a solid relationship with the NEC, both former leaders and our biggest donors. He has seen this situation before and will know how best to navigate through these tumultuous weeks. Knowing that Steve came top in the last NEC elections by a clear margin, also gives us confidence that he has the support of our membership.”
Job swap
Mr Nuttall took over from Nigel Farage as leader of UKIP last November.
Asked about a future role for Mr Farage in the party, Mr Nuttall said: “If Nigel Farage wants to come back, I would be more than happy to do a job swap.
“I’ll take his slot on LBC (radio station) and he can come back as leader of UKIP.”
Mr Nuttall, a former history lecturer, joined UKIP in 2004 after running for the Conservatives in a council election in Bootle two years earlier.
He became an MEP for North West England in 2009 and served as UKIP deputy leader from 2010 until September last year.
After Mr Farage resigned as UKIP leader following the Brexit referendum in July, Mr Nuttall ruled himself out of taking over.
But when Diane James quit after just 18 days in the job, he put himself forward and was elected with 62% of the vote
Mr Nuttall’s resignation came shortly before UKIP’s general secretary, Jonathan Arnott, also announced he would be resigning.
‘Wake-up call’
In a departing statement, he said the party had “lost its way in recent times” and he “profoundly disagreed” with UKIP’s election campaign.
He attacked the party’s “clumsy, blundering approach” to tackling female genital mutilation and its “hardline anti-Islam messages”.
“The people pushing such an agenda need to reflect on the party’s future. They need to stop making it difficult – impossible, even – for many people to vote UKIP,” he said.
“This election result is the last wake-up call that they will ever get.”
Mr Oakden paid tribute to Mr Nuttall’s leadership over “difficult months” for the party.
He said: “I want to offer my heartfelt thanks to Paul Nuttall for having had the courage and strength of will to forge on.
“Paul is a good, decent and humble man and I’ve no doubt that he will be remembered as the person who kept UKIP alive when everything seemed determined to bring it to an end.”

Unconvincing and belated Amjad Bashir bashing by Nigel Farage’s Ukip cult, For Effect, when he defected to the Tories!

Hi,
for the impostor Godfrey Bloom, who was parachuted dishonestly into lead position, by the arbitrary firing of Dr. Richard North whose research abilities & knowledge of the EU Nigel Farage found to be a threat to his own abilities, and thus Bloom had a near certain status as an MEP, despite being of little merit or ability in political terms, also with a record in Court of shady dealings.Godfrey Bloom owed his position solely to the work puty into the area by Dr. North and his team and of course his chum and drinking buddy Nigel Farage!It is such hypocrisy to see him post this on his FaceBook page:
“I have reluctantly called publicly for the resignation of Steve Crowther this weekend. The Amjad Bashir debacle was and is his sole responsibility. We in Yorkshire moved heaven and earth to stop Bashir in February when we found out about his criminal connections. Crowther would simply not listen, he could have been withdrawn from the list with still 8 weeks to go. Crowther put him above Mike Hookem , a trusted long term activist but no. We could have been back to one MEP, after all that hard work and money. This is another foul up in an ever increasing trail, in the interests of UKIP he must go.”
however I would not be surprised were it to be deleted!
When Godfrey Bloom was first announced as a candidate not only did I find much about him on the internet but was able to confirm my opinion, with a couple of conversations with him, that he would prove near useless as an MEP and a liability for Ukip in the long run.An opinion which I conveyed to Nigel Farage in a conversation about strategy and the weakness of Ukip candidates, not one of whom was of any calliber at the time. Naiively little did I realise just how insecure a leader Nigel Farage was and just how bereft of leadership skills or understanding of the need for detail, structure, strategy and a clear vision.
To this day after 22 years, despite the fact that Ukip has talked the talk of wishing to Leave_The_EU they have under Nigel Farage’s efforts to lead them, never had the vaguest of responsible, ethical EU eXit and survival strategies and Farage has feared having intelligent and competent men and women around him; being all too happy to personally select rejects and failures from other political parties, anyone with a title, be there e’re so dim, and a long string of sycophant nebishes grateful for a job way beyond their abilities.
Yet again I note Steve Crowther comes to the fore as Farage’s servant but no servant of the party – this a man who despite seeking answers can not produce a verifiable CV to back his extravagant claims – a man with no traceable executive roll during well over 30 years. Another David Bannerman would be my guess, with a well presented and much embroidered track record of failure that when eventually exposed will have him rushing back to The Lib.Dims, just as did David Bannerman when exposed as a fraud, having been, dishonestly parachuted into position by Farage, he returned to the Tories.
One is forced to wonder whether Ukip under Nigel Farage, and his team of boot lickers, have the vaguest concept of due dilligence let alone ability to conduct such checks when one looks back on the long list of embarrassments they have had with t he likes of the liar and parasite Mark Croucher; their MEPs Tom Wise and Ashley Mote who wound up in prison; the overt racism and vile anti Islamic stance of Gerard Batten MEP and before him MEP (puppet Leader) Jeffrey Titford’s assistant Tony Bennett; The serial liability of the dishonest and foul mouthed personal ‘intimate’ of Farage’s Annabelle Fuller; her chum the Tory plant Stephen Sobey; The hiring and commercial import of cheap Polish labour (people trafficing by any other name) by Roger Knapmann MEP (puppet Leader) and his family; and a long list of token blacks like Winston McKenzie + Pakistanis & Indians selected for their willingness for Farage to parade them in the clearly racist role of proving Ukip isn’t racist, with no hint of realisation of such hypocricy!.
Clearly Nigel Farage is at his happiest when surrounded by dullards and drunks!
Even the press have picked up this story. More astonishingly still Paul Cahalan was permitted, in part, to publish it, as he regularly is blocked by legal, when trying to publish sound stories about Ukip, with the requirement for ever more proof!:
Ukip knew of Tory defector’s links to convicted kidnapper… BEFORE he became an MEP
Ukip leader Nigel Farage claims his party ‘begged’ him to drop Amjad Bashir
But party knew about his links to convicted criminal before he became MEP
He was allegedly ‘joined at the hip’ to former Ukip spokesman Mujeeb Bhutto
Mr Bhutto forced to resign after revelation he masterminded kidnapping plot
Published: 22:19, 31 January 2015 | Updated: 12:52, 1 February 2015
When Amjad Bashir sensationally defected to the Conservatives last week, Ukip leader Nigel Farage claimed his party had been ‘begging’ him to drop the MEP after being ‘increasingly alarmed by his behaviour over the last few months’.
But The Mail on Sunday can reveal the party was warned about his links with a convicted criminal a year ago – months before he was elected to the European Parliament.
Local activists urged Ukip chairman Steve Crowther to investigate claims Mr Bashir ‘was joined at the hip’ to Mujeeb Bhutto – a former Ukip spokesman who was forced to resign from the party when it emerged he had masterminded a £56,000 kidnapping plot in Pakistan.

‘Joined at the hip’: Local activists wanted Ukip to investigate Amjad Bashir (second from right) because of his links to Mujeeb Bhutto, who was forced to resign from Ukip when it emerged he had masterminded a £56,000 kidnapping plot in Pakistan
Party spin Mr Bashir’s defection to the Conservatives last week triggered an immediate damage limitation exercise by Ukip
Leaked emails, seen by The Mail on Sunday, show that Mr Crowther was warned last February that the pair had possibly broken party rules by not admitting Bhutto’s criminal past, and even questioned if they were ‘Conservative plants’.
Despite this, the party selected Mr Bashir as a candidate and he was elected MEP in May.
Mr Bashir’s defection to the Conservatives last week triggered an immediate damage limitation exercise by Ukip, which announced Mr Bashir had been suspended pending an investigation into ‘extremely serious’ allegations.
These included questions over his ‘continued affiliation with Mujeeb Bhutto, despite the party’s protests against Mr Bhutto’s involvement with Mr Bashir or Ukip’, as well as his ‘finances’ and his alleged interference in a candidate selection processes.
Mr Farage even said that MEPs in his party had been ‘begging me to get rid of Bashir in October and November of last year’ and were ‘increasingly alarmed by his behaviour over the last few months’.
Mr Bashir dismissed Ukip’s response as a ‘desperate attempt’ to smear him and insists there is ‘not a shred of truth’ to the claims.

Allegations: Ukip leader Nigel Farage (right) claimed his party had been ‘begging’ him to drop Amjad Bashir (left) after being ‘increasingly alarmed by his behaviour over the last few months’
Distanced: Upon Mr Bashir’s (pictured) defection to the Tories, Ukip announced he had been suspended pending an investigation into ‘extremely serious’ allegations
But last night, former Ukip MEP Godfrey Bloom said the leaked emails revealed the party hierarchy knew there were questions over his conduct well before Mr Bashir was appointed as Ukip candidate for the European Parliament. He added Mr Crowther should resign as he had been ‘dishonest’ in his appointment.Mr Bloom said: ‘I am making no criticism of Ukip or Nigel Farage. This is about one man’s dishonesty. I believe Crowther should resign.’
On February 6, 2014, worried party members wrote to Mr Crowther after Bhutto was unmasked as the boss of a gang who kidnapped a Pakistani businessman’s son in Karachi in 2004. Bhutto was later convicted in the UK.
The email to Mr Crowther said: ‘These two have been joined at the hip from the day they joined the party. Bhutto refers to Amjad as uncle… Amjad must have known Bhutto’s past and his convictions.’
It adds: ‘Why did Amjad not disclose the truth, especially as a senior party member? He must have known.’ Finally it questioned whether the pair were ‘Conservative plants’, after it was revealed Mr Bhutto was formerly a Tory Party member.
Mr Crowther apparently investigated some claims and responded to activists on March 2 saying: ‘As I understand it, Mujeeb Bhutto is not related to Amjad Bashir, but has been involved with him in a business context. Mr Bashir tells me he did not know of Mujeeb’s conviction before I raised it with him. At that point, Mr Bhutto confirmed the facts to him and immediately resigned from the party.’
But Mr Bloom said Mr Crowther’s email showed he was ‘trying to sweep the issue under the carpet’. He said: ‘Crowther knew this man’s criminal associations in February.’
It would seem that in response to my comment above regarding Steve Crowther someone has made more effort than I to track his CV and although I had heard some of this the following detail may help.
Unfortunately the author sources his or her information but lacked the integrity to put their name to it, posting anonymously; therefore, though I believe it to be correct I can not verify the detail nor vouch for the research (though I have checked several points and they do stand up):
Although I have found out nothing about Crowther during the 80s other than that he was a press officer for someone, and a trade journalist, he does appear in the record in 1991. At that time he joined Marketing firm Holmes Marchant, who now describe themselves as a brand design consultancy. Crowther was at Holmes Marchant for 10 years, and became a Director of a Subsidiary, Holmes Marchant Communications Limited, from 1995-2000.
In 2000 he left Holmes Marchant, with another H-M director, Fiona Shepherd, and they set up April-Six limited. April Six, a tech marketing company, was sold in 2007 to the Mission Marketing group. By the time it was sold it had 54 staff and Mission paid £9.55M for April Six, with another £9.45M if they performed as well as expected. Given that the crash happened before the second payment I don’t know whether it was paid, but Crowther and Shepherd would have done very well from the first payment, part of which was in H-M shares.
April Six provided consultancy marketing and comms services, to the software, reseller and telecomms industry. No, I don’t know what it means either.
Here’s the information release about the acquisition. Gives a little more detail on what April Six were doing. And from this it looks like the company was owned 50/50 by Crowther and Shepherd.
Also, somewhat bizarrely, he was, for 9 months in 2001, Marketing Director of the Shark Trust, a conservation charity set up to conserve sharks rays and other elasmobranchs in the UK. But he appears to have been a trustee/director, rather than an employee director. Sadly Charities Commission online records don’t go back to 2001 for the Shark Trust which is a pity. If anyone can enlighten me about this episode in the Crowther story, I would appreciate it.
So it seems that Crowther made a small fortune providing marketing services to big players in the software and internet industries during the heady days after the dot com crash and before the credit crunch crash. And he has used his media/marketing nous to great effect, both as a campaigner against wind farms, as well as the brains behind the UKIP project.
Incidentally Chief arsonist of the bonfire of the regulations, Cabinet Office Enforcer Francis Maude, was chair of the Mission Marketing Group during the time when its share value literally evaporated (2006-2009). No wonder Crowther has no love for the Tories.
While in the Shadow Cabinet Maude was accused of hypocrisy by promoting a “family-friendly” image while being the non-executive chairman of Jubilee Investment Trust plc, which held 21% of American pornographic actress Jill Kelly’s adult DVD business,[10] and chairman of the Mission Marketing Group, which has advertised for WKD drinks and Playboy.[11] Maude, “who has railed against irresponsible lending by banks and mortgage companies”, was accused of hypocrisy for receiving more than £100,000 as a director of a company that has profited from sub-prime mortgages. His annual salary was £25,000 from 2002 to 2005, for attending around six meetings a year of the company, and £12,000 a year 2006 to 2008. The company went into liquidation in April 2009.[12]
From a senior member of Ukip – David Gale, here is his resignation from Ukip Letter & his Critique
.
~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
here is a discussion/clarification of David Gale’s Resignation from Ukip Letter, followed by the full text of the letter. David Gale will be remembered as a senior member of Ukip perceived as a rising part of the leadership clique, who stood as Ukip’s Police Commissioner Candidate:
Gale resigns from UKIP
Thursday 28th November 2013 – OPEN LETTER TO NIGEL FARAGE
In an open letter to UKIP leader Nigel Farage, David Gale, one of UKIP’s top performing Police & Crime Commissioner candidates, has today announced his resignation from the party.
In a damning indictment of its leadership, Gale accuses UKIP of betraying its supporters in its shift to the right. Gale said, “In many areas of the country, UKIP has been taking more votes from Labour than from the Conservatives, with the UKIP membership in the north focused on a common sense view of policy that is not shared by an ever-increasing number of ex-Tory UKIP candidates. What we’re seeing is yet another crony elite riding a wave of public expectation for something different. It’s a deception and it’s a betrayal.”
Going on to list issues with the party’s MEP candidate selection process, as well as its failure to alert members to a middle-aged, convicted paedophile actively engaged with the party’s younger membership, Gale questions the leadership’s professional competence in its running of the party, “Whilst I doubt that it was your intention to model your public persona on Lord Percy, UKIP is beginning to resemble an episode of Blackadder, with candidates presenting as an association of Elizabethan dandies.”
Gale’s announcement comes after a sitting MEP and a number of Lincolnshire councillors were forced out of the party, all citing procedural irregularities by the
leadership. Reports suggest that a large proportion of the UKIP Worcester branch in the West Midlands has resigned en masse, again citing the party’s leadership as being out of touch with its membership.
Gale said, ” I remain deeply respectful of the many genuine grass roots members who aspire to something better for our country but I feel that UKIP’s leadership is deceiving them. I wish the membership all the best.”
UKIP – Party Leader
28th. November 2013
Dear Nigel,
You will be aware that, for some time, I have been flagging up matters of concern about the management and political direction of UKIP. On many of the issues that I’ve raised,
you have been copied in to my communications and in some cases emails have been marked for your personal attention. Let me start by reiterating my areas of concern:
1. There is a lack of transparency over matters relating to the party’s National Executive
Committee (NEC). Party rules are routinely flouted by the leadership. When held to account, party chairman Steve Crowther almost gleefully points at a revised party constitution that allows the NEC to retrospectively approve breaches of the rules by the leadership.
There are numerous examples of this but the three at the forefront of my mind are:
a) the expulsion of Robert Hamling
b) the expulsion of Chris Pain
c) the MEP selection process
In the matter of the MEP selection process, as a participant, I raised my concerns direct to Steve Crowther on the lack of transparency within the process. In fact, I refused to pay the £500 application fee, since it had become apparent that the fee represented a conspiracy by the partyto defraud applicants who were never going to be allowed on
to the candidate list.
Evidence gathered since the selection process has confirmed my deepest fears that the
process was rigged in such a way as to give you plausible deniability of personal involvement.
It would have been easier to swallow had you stated openly those candidates whom
you wished to be on the list.
In the cases listed above, there is clear evidence of significant rule breaches by the party’s leadership. In all of those cases, allegations of wrong-doing by the leadership have not been adequately pursued.
Interestingly, my own local branch chairman has refused in writing to allow the subject to be discussed.
2. UKIP has shifted noticeably to the right. However attractive the proposition of having a handful of converted Tory MPs, allowing UKIP to become a refuge for the Tories in exile is alienating UKIP voters, particularly north of the Watford Gap. In my own region, the lurch to the right leaves Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland without any MEP candidate representation within UKIP’s candidate list. The situation in the East Midlands reflects the general trend across the country in that UKIP MEP candidates do not represent the politics of the vast majority of UKIP members and voters in the region.
Aligned to that shift to the right has been an evidenced intent to play to the populist gallery whilst concealing the real agenda.
Increasingly, UKIP public appearances are becoming a sound bite driven public relations exercise, lacking in both substance and depth.
At best, there is a mismatch between the leadership and much of the voting public. At worst, it’s a cynical manipulation of populist opinion to meet the agenda of yet another
crony elite.
Whilst I doubt that it was your intention to model your public persona on Lord Percy, UKIP is beginning to resemble an episode of Blackadder, with candidates presenting as an
association of Elizabethan dandies.
Throw in a pomander and a trailing kerchief and the picture will be complete.
3. It is becoming increasingly clear that there is a core faction associated with the party that is being used as a ‘Black Ops’ dirty tricks team against targets that include party members.
I believe that your own deep insecurity and paranoia have played a significant part in the
party’s Night of the Long Knives.
Much of the recent press coverage of alleged hacked social media sites has been deliberately misleading. There is increasing evidence that points to UKIP members close to the party’s headquarters being involved in the creation of cloned Facebook pages which have featured damaging fake posts falsely attributed to UKIP members. Screen grabs of these posts have been fed to the press, third hand, in an attempt to smear the targeted individuals and as a precursor to removing them from the party.
These are potentially criminal acts.
The involved young party activists claim a close association with the party Chairman.
Disturbingly, documentary evidence demonstrates that the Chief Executive Officer, Will Gilpin, was removed from post by the Chairman a matter of days after committing in writing to party members to investigate these allegations.
The evidence that I and others have collated has now been passed to the police who tell me that a Special Branch investigation is underway.
4. For nearly two years, I have been raising the issue of the lack of scrutiny and governance within the party’s management. The common error is to look at a relatively small head office and staff and assume that the party is a small organisation.
That is not the case.
It is clear that UKIP’s professional officers are devoid of the skills and experience required to run a complex, networked national organisation, including the delivery of
scrutiny and governance over both operational and political policies and strategy.
One of the starkest examples of this lack of governance has been the tolerance of the
party’s continued association with a convicted paedophile who, whilst no longer being a member, has continued to attend party functions and provide strategic UKIP documentation from his personal website.
Party members with children, who have been asked for lifts to UKIP events by the paedophile, have been left unaware of the background of an individual who is on the sex offenders register for life.
When warned about this individual, Chairman Steve Crowther has quite extraordinarily
contrived means to remove the reporting individuals from the party.
Through its lack of risk mitigating processes and actions, the party has knowingly exposed its members to undue risk.
My own efforts to raise the alarm have been ignored by the leadership, it being left to me to contact branches to alert them to the potential risks to members and to have photographs of the paedophile campaigning for UKIP removed from branch websites.
More recently, I have gathered evidence that I understand has previously been in Steve
Crowther’s possession that demonstrates the paedophile grooming a vulnerable young
UKIP member on Twitter, in violation of his probationary licence, yet Crowther has encouraged the individual to maintain his party activism.
If this is UKIP’s response, how many more paedophiles remain within the membership?
On the first couple of points, I am mindful that my written offers to provide you with professional management skills have been ignored. The candidate list’s swing to the right is a betrayal of the membership and our voters.
On the third item, conclusions around alleged criminality within the party must await the outcome of ongoing police investigations.
On the fourth item, the issue of the party leadership’s response to the activities of a convicted paedophile within its midst is not something that I can overlook. My work as Interim Chief Executive for Kids for Cash UK leaves me no room for association with a party that cannot deliver the requisite level of organisational rigour and competence required to protect its brand and its members.
I am left with no alternative but to resign my membership of UKIP forthwith. I remain
deeply respectful of the many genuine grass roots members who aspire to something better for our country but I feel that UKIP’s leadership is deceiving them. The focus is
clearly on leveraging the goodwill of the membership and the British people in pursuit of
Kids for Cash UK – protecting vulnerable children by exposing paedophiles and investigating criminal corruption in the family justice and social care systems
UKIP Takes Heed of This Blog’s Warning of Incompetence!
For just howmany years have we heard the meaningless mantra that UKIP will be professionalised!
Yet time and again we see this sort of crass behaviour and sad, sick obsessives like Mick McGough – as an NEC member – sending offensive eMails as spam – my spam filter shows almost 8,000 unread Mick McGough spam nuisance postings in less than 3 weeks!
Little wonder new harassment laws have been introduced to protect against stalkers and obsessives!
Which showed how desperately low grade the contenders were with established liars and cheats in their ranks! We also provided a ballot paper you could print out which contained absolutely no security to prevent multiple voting and vote rigging, in keeping with the general standard of utter incompetence and unprofessionalism we have all come to expect of UKIPand its leadership.
This was not UKIP’s only piece of idiocy as shown by:
Lisa Duffy has already had to publish an apology distributed by a contender in the election for Mayor! A contender who as you will note is also living off the public purse as a Regional Organiser!
Now as a result of this blog highlighting the crass incompetence of Lisa Duffy and the party leadership here is an apology from the party chairman who seemingly lurches from one crass amateurism to another.
Minded it was back in February that the poor littler chappie was charged with trying to save Nigel Farage’s and Godfrey Bloom’s bacon after they were found guilty in a tribunal he has still failed to achieve a reconciliation with Nikki Sinclaire – though to be fair the apology published by the party has saved them from the humiliation of a guilty verdict and massive damages in The High Court so far.
Beg as they might to get Sinclaire back on board as an MEP to avoid damages clearly they will have to guarantee her the right not to join with UKIP’s extremist racist EFD chums and to remain in The Non Escrit Group and also to be lead candidate in the 2014 election and with a considerable amount of autonomy.
Either way here is Steve Crowther’s latest ‘cock up’ and example of unprofessionalism!
Dear UKIP Member
London Assembly List ballot
It has been brought to our attention that there are some flaws in the balloting process currently underway to gauge Members’ preferences regarding the London Assembly candidate list.
The NEC has decided that we need to take remedial action, so:
•We will be immediately re-running the ballot of London Members, with added security on the ballot papers. This will happen as soon as the new ballot papers can be printed (next week).
•We will be re-editing the candidates’ 150-word declarations, to ensure that no significant content or meaning is lost.
•We will be adding a reply-paid envelope to improve turnout, and will ensure that members have sufficient time to vote; though it would be appreciated if members would return their ballot papers quickly, to account for the delays in Christmas post.
In every other respect, the process will be as previously described. The results of the members’ ballot will be provided to the NEC who will approve and publish the final list.
I apologise for the shortcomings of the first ballot. In our haste to get the London List resolved, and with the sudden arrival of the Feltham & Heston by-election, we have not performed as well as we should.
Already the EU seeks to remove the word ‘Political’ from the abbreviation to hide the integrationist aspect and inexorable efforts to eradicate National Politics – This is just another step in the destruction of liberty and denial of Democracy which The EU is seeking to impose by bribing OUR-ENEMY-WITHIN to adopt, with OUR money.
Little wonder we see proven liars & the untrustworthy lined up to promote this new hope of self enrichment!
For a further report on this meeting see: CLICK HERE
Nigel Farage’s Official salaried boot licker Michael Greaves stated: ‘UKIP Members are to stupid & naive to understand the issues’ no doubt mimicking His Master’s voice he continued: ‘he knows understands the issues because he works in the EU parliament‘. It seems he has learned little and is very naive regarding communication skills as his presentation, like the liar & low life scum Mick McGough‘s was unconvincing, demeaning and dragged UKIP into the corrupt gutter they clearly share.
Farage’s plans for UKIP to join a PEP pan European party are being dealt severe blows in regional debates across the country where, so far, the reaction has been overwhelmingly a 90% No!We have been told, this was last night expressed more in the West Midlands than anywhere else – a region devastated by UKIPs national infighting and the de-selection of popular local MEP Nikki Sinclaire.
A packed room, we are told of 50-60 people heard from both sides. The ‘No’ campaign was represented by Trevor Colman MEP and Mike Smith. Mick ‘Porky Pie’ Mick ‘Porky Pie’ McGough and Michael ‘who ate all the pies’ Greaves represented the ‘Yes’ campaign.
The ‘NO’ side stole the show arguing on principle with passion (notably Mike Smith), that UKIP should stay true to its withdrawalist principles. This was greeted with constant cheering and clapping from the floor.
The ‘Yes’ argument, as always, centred around money, money and more money!
Unfortunately for Farage and his sycophants this wasn’t lost on the audience! McGough and Greaves were clearly out of favour with the audience. Indeed, they only received a polite clap from two or three people after delevering their ten minute pitch. We also note that their replies to questions from the audience were met in silence, in complete contrast to the response to the no side.
Michael Greaves even felt it necessary to claim angrily to a question from a member that they were too naive to understand the issues and that he knew best as he worked in the European Parliament! This drew hisses and shouts from the audience.
Michael then attacked were made on those MEPs that had left the EFD. This resulted in a passionate reply from Mike Smith.
We are pleased to note that this drew the biggest applause of the evening in responding. He stated that Trevor, Nikki and Mike were right to leave the EFD and that they had done so because of their principles. He also expressed anger that they were constantly being attacked in certain quarters for doing what every UKIP MEP should have done – leave the EFD! He then pointed out that they were all actively campaigning for the Euro-realist cause by producing literature, leaflets, websites and petitions.
How sad that Steve Crowther (chair) tried to silence Mike. And this was despite having just allowed criticism from the other side. You really couldn’t make it up!
We suspect the West Midlands might hold the biggest opposition to the EFD than anywhere else!
The yes side continued to lie in suggesting that the party would receive funding from 13 MEPs (as stated in March’s edition of Independence News). This was clearly a deliberate attempt to mislead UKIPPERS as only a maximum of 9 UKIP MEPs would join a PEP.
Let us not forget that Mike, Nikki and Trevor are adamant that they are not going join a PEP. And have they forgotten that Bannerman has now left UKIP for the Tories? Quoting figure after figure based on 13 MEPs (promising a third more funding than they would be entitled to) is yet again another example of the level of dishonesty that we have come to expect from the ‘Yes’ campaign!
We will leave you with some words from Farage – before he went native – which are now being repeated at regional meetings across the country.
‘’We are opposed on principle to the idea of state funding of political parties, either nationally or at a European level. It is not an appropriate use of tax-payers’ money”.
Mick McGOUGH’s Dishonesty Called To Account by UKIP!
A pleasant change to see a proven liar like Mick McGough challenged in public when he, yet again, drags the Party Name into the gutter of his life!!
Hi,
it seems like I am not the only one who distrusts the integrity, ethics and morality of Mick McGough and his crooked mate Stuart Agnew!
As the returning officer for the internal consultation process I can confirm I have received a complaint about this video. I have therefore sent the following e-mail
From steve allison to Stuart Agnew MEP cc Mick McGough cc Trevor Colman MEP cc Steve Crowther Date 19.06.2011
Stuart,
I have received a complaint regarding the video
). Specifically the complaint refers to the claim by Mick McGough that he “has in his hand a cheque for £300,000 payable to UKIP”
The No campaign claim the money CANNOT be paid to UKIP.
Can you please confirm that the claim that the money can be paid from a PEP direct to UKIP is accurate.
If you cannot confirm this is a factually accurate statement then I must ask for the video to be withdrawn until a suitable correction of fact can be made.
UKIP PEPP Debate Was Insultingly Amateur & Crassly Illinformed!
It was astonishing just how irresponsible such highly paid individuals can be!!
Hi,
PLEASE NOTE:
The vote on this issue will be circulated in Mid July in the in house comic – INDEPENDENCE NEWS which is used, on track record, for corrupt Farage propaganda but rarely appears on time with excuses usually being made based upon lack of funding (As with The NEC Elections of last February which still have not yet been held!)
The theory is that Ballot Papers will be distributed during July to all members and the completed those being returned by mid August will be counted as a part of the vote.
I have just watched the full debate of UKIP as chaired by Steve Crowther at The Tiverton Hotel which ended at 15:55hrs.
Protagonists:
Trevor Colman MEP – NO
Stuart Agnew MEP – YES
Stephanie Williams – YES
Mike Smith – NO
May I congratulate Mike Smith for having the integrity to thank Nikki Sinclaire, Mike Nattrass and Trevor colman for their sterling work in bringing the facts of The EU to the attention of both members and the public – having not lost sight of the reason they were elected.
I was amazed at the lack of facts, lack of information and emotive nature of the debate from both sides of the rather mumbled arguments, beyond the admonishment to read the Legislation for yourself – with which I do agree but it was unfortunate that the two sides were not adequately in command of their brief to respond with linkage in other than their set piece presentation section..
That Stuart Agnew clearly stated he did not care about the outcome of the democratic vote of the members he, like Godfrey Bloom would willingly betray the principles of Democracy in UKIP such as it is and if the vote was NO to PEPPs he personally would still join one!
Some will remember that I warned before his election that Stuart Agnew was untrustworthy, dishonest, corrupt and self interested. He colluded in corruption to be placed upon the list of candidates as one of Farage’s placements based on Farage’s comment ‘He is as thick as sh*t but he’s got money’.
No I never expected Stuart Agnew to act in an honourable or principled manner on ANY issue – a point soon highlighted by The Sunday Times and I understand still a subject of OLAF enquiry in terms of his boassted of fraud together with his equally dishonest and corrupt partner in fraud David Bannerman.
I presume Stuart Agnews puppet masters the NFU wish him to aid and assist their paymasters The EU by helping The EU in its greater goal to undermine National Politics by controlling Pan EU Political Parties via their bribes and purse strings to the MEP’s overseas accounts and perks.
It was stunning to listen to these 4 protagonists waffling on with so little knowledge or understanding of either The EU, ethics, principles or even the rules as laid out by The EU for PEPPs which can be read in full if you CLICK HERE
They seemed not to have a clue what their own UKIP MEP was upto which speaks volumes of the loss of control when prostituted to The EU and funded as a Supra National Political Party – we are currently at the stage where UKIP Chairman and two UKIP MEPs haven’t a clue what Godfrey Bloom is doing – just as they hadn’t a clue that David Bannerman had gone on a jolly with the Tories to Taiwan!
To have SOME incling of what Godfrey Bloom is upto, although his web site has not been materially updated since last year! You may be will find this helps understand how he is subsuming himself into The EU when not copulating with prostitutes in the streets nor urinating in flower pots in Hotels CLICK HERE
As a starter to help the idiot Stuart Agnew Godfrey is NOT a member of something called The Alliance he is a member of The EUrope of Freedom and Democracy – a corrupt grouping harbouring and promoting Racism, violent anti homosexuality, anti Judaism, Holocaust denial and pro EU Membership seeking reform as is he Stuart Agnew also UKIP’s remaining MEPs willing to jump when told to put money in Nigel Farage’s pocket. Godfrey Bloom is also a member of The Pan EU Alliance for Freedom.
Both the utterly vile EFD Group and this other grubby little group are increasingly within the bounds of Pan EU Political Parties or PEPPs.
Rerhaps it would be an intelligent action on these ‘larded’ self serving individuals to read up a little on the subject and to that end they will find this of help: CLICK HERE.
What is UKIP doing that is of any real benefit towards getting these United Kingdoms out of The EU – as yet they have never had a single training course of consequence and it was clear from todays debate they sure to hell need one. It is all very well waffling about policies and Government WE NEED MORE POLITICIANS LIKE A HOLE IN THE HEAD – The only reason UKIP gets votes is the stance of Leave-The-EU and on that clear message and by exploiting (dishonestly) the difficulties of other Parties in DOMESTIC politics UKIP does well in EU elections – the results when OTHER POLICIES are considered are risible as shown by their abject failure at Westminster elections and even worse results at local level!
Clearly and sadly to genuine supporters like myself who seek solutions for our Country and NOT enrichment or agrandisement for ourselves, it is increasingly clear that UKIP is unfit for purpose IF the aim is to liberate these United Kingdoms from membership of the malign and damaging EUropean Union.
All too often the ONLY answer UKIP has to any view point that may challenge their income stream as individuals is abuse or more hirelings and praise singers to abuse those who are genuine Patriots seeking to Leave-The-EU.
To quote Steve Allison of Nigel Farage:
“I don’t question HIS recollection of the incident or HIS interpretation of the story. I’m sure he is sincere in his beliefs. Similarly I don’t question anyone’s belief in an almighty God. I’m sure they are sincere in their beliefs. I don’t share those beliefs but it doesn’t make me right and them wrong or visa versa. However, I know that you and I will never agree on this because there is no god but Farage and Heaver is his prophet so there is no point discussing it further really is there?”
This rather sums up UKIP’s ability to debate – the nerds and sycophants of Farage and the rest – for a partial list of The Rest CLICK HERE.You will note amongst them already UKIP has lost 2 Council seats from the meager few it obtained on 06-May-2011 and also the recent resignation in apparent disgust at being used and abused of an NEC Member!
Hardly surprising having just watched 2 hours of ill informed and crassly uninformative debate that would surely not pass muster in a responsible 6th. Form let alone as a ‘presentation’ debate by such highly funded rascals. Though I will say afternoon tea at The Tiverton Hotel was pleasant!
UKIP Amateur Hour Rolls On – Roll Up For The MUD WRESTLING!
Watchers Laugh as Genuine Supporters Weep at the comic tragedy of UKIP’s utterly unprofessional and incompetent behaviour!
As the so called leadership and hirelings squabble like ferrets in a sack egged on by their claque of fools and parasites jockeying for position! .
~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
Hi,
You will note that when I published UKIP’s amateur hour publication of Nigel Farage’s half baked letter of response that I said at the time that UKIP were being not just incompetent but crassly amateur.
Steve Crowther is clearly completely out of his depth and we note, as was shown at the time, that Nigel Farage didn’t even bother sending his hireling a copy until after the event – having had one of his other hirelings mail the letter to Marta Andreasen.
Astonishingly as soon as the idiot Steve Crowther received a copy, making up for lost time and no doubt jockeying for position, he couldn’t wait and ask someone with some common sense what to do – he published the letter on an open forum.
Yes an open forum! It is clearly open as since it has been active I, and no doubt others, have been forwarded copies of anything seemingly relevant.
Surely, unprofessional and incompetent as UKIP clearly is, they can not imagine that there are not members of their rival parties and members of the media who have not become fully paid up members of UKIP to ensure they get the odd titbit to use as stories in the media – though you will note that UKIP has become so very insignificant nowadays about the only publicity has been taking the mick with crass stories of whose riding the Mare of Ramsey next and even self serving nutters exploiting UKIP’s own fruitcake: CLICK HERE
Surely UKIP’s crassly amateur and clearly duplicitous leadership and its parasites do not believe that there are no members on the inside track who are not interested in UKIP being cleaned-up and made fit for purpose once again.
Then of course in the corrupt clamour of the claque and even amongst the leadership there are those jockeying for positions with their snouts in the troughs on the gravy train who are all too willing to leak information to better their position. Ask yourself if this might not be the case with Steve Crowther undermining his sponsors position for his own gain with his all to Nooo Labour wrigglings and betrayals.
Naturally Steve Crowther’s publishing of Nigel Farage’s crassly incompetent letter has led to the inevitable public response:
During the Politics Show last Sunday you stated that I had “not even been to the UK for several months”. You have failed to retract this untrue statement and instead raised further unfounded accusations.
The fact is that I have been and “been seen”- there is public record- in the UK regularly, raising UKIP´s credibility at important events as the voice of opposition.
A search on the Electoral Commission website returns only one donation made by you to the party in the last 10 years. The donation of 1,100 pounds sterling to the South East region was made in March 2009, that is before the last European election.
The code of conduct demanded that MEPs“set up an office in their region, funded from their Parliamentary general allowances”. However your declaration of financial interests as it appears in the European Parliament website under your name , shows that in fact your office in the South East region is given to you free of rent by a member of the party. Now one wonders where and how you are actually using such allowance.
Contrary to what you state I corrected bookie Mr. Alan Bown about my having an office in Woking when he surprised me back in January in the presence of Mr. Stuart Wheeler with the accusation -which I now realize must have originated from you- that I did not have an office. The fact is that I fund my office – located in an office building in Woking – out of my parliamentary general expense allowance, the address having been registered with the Council, communicated to Head Office and it also appears in my newsletter.
From the above it is clear that it is you and not me the one who has failed to honor the famous code of conduct that we were asked to sign when we stood as candidates for election in 2009. Do you by any chance believe it does not apply to you?
Unfortunately you have decided to put this on the public domain even before I had the chance to read it, so this is going on my website.
Voters look for credibility which is what, in my view, your actions are not a representation of.
Thank you for your letter of 23rd inst., in which, however, I quite fail to see how my saying, of you, “she hasn’t been seen in the UK for several months”, qualifies as “personal invective”, let alone slander!
This statement of mine was made in connection with your activities in the UK, as a UKIP-representative of the EU’s “South-East-of-England-Region”, in two areas, as follows.
1. In relation to the recent, local and regional elections, in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland: in my view, your involvement in campaigning for the Party, over the last few months, has been scant – not to say non-existent. Were you, for example, in Oldham, Barnsley or Leicester, for the vital by-elections in those constituencies?
If you have been holding public meetings or branch/constituency events in the “South-East”, of course, then I may be overstating my case. Kindly let me know if you have.
2. In relation to promissory commitments made by you to UKIP, in the event of election to the EU’s “parliament”: along with all of UKIP’s elected members, you signed a declaration consisting of a number of undertakings concerning the role of a UKIP-”MEP”.
One of these undertakings was to make legally acceptable donations, to UKIP, as a registered voter in the UK, which you have now wilfully ceased to be.
Another was to maintain an office in the constituency; and yet, when Mr Alan Bown enquired after the address of your South-East Constituency-Office, you were unable to provide him with one.
Overall, I feel that my comment, to the effect that you are not engaged with UKIP in the UK, is a fair one. On the specific point of your political activity, in the UK, over the last few months, I would be happy to stand corrected and will happily say so.
Yours sincerely,
Nigel Farage

UKIP ABJECT EMBARRASSMENT re: PROFESSIONALISM! One would have thought they had made sufficient fools of themselves with their local election failure and the Mare of Ramsay catastrophy not to want their Chairman encouraging the belittling of their beleaguered leader – or does he want the job?
.

Hi,
clearly Nigel Farage is doing almost as much to sabotage his protege as he did to assist in the dishonest placement of her and corrupt creqation of her position as an MEP.
Based largely on lies and dishonesty constructed to suit Nigel Farage who seemingly had fallen for the faux persona, title, CV and profile she had invented for herself.
The train wreck crashes on with now Steve Crowther in a display of utter incompetence publishing the letter on a public forum!
Much has been made of the aim to professionalise UKIP which forces one to then ask why they are behaving like small children and hurling insults at eachother, whilst sequentially taking it in turns to act like idiots!
Surely it ill becomes a so called leader earning £Millions even of a failed party to not use a lawyer and discretion – even a competent PA Secretary could at least have vetted this ill educated foolishness and WHY would Steve Crowther publicly seek to expose his leader to ridicule for such a poor letter?
Is EVERYONE in UKIP jokeying for position at the troughs on the gravy train?
When last did UKIP leadership put as much effort into a policy to Leave-The-EU as they do into working out ways to defame and belittle those whose views differ amongst UKIP supporters – be that Nikki Sinclaire MEP, Junius, myself, Mike Nattrass MEP, Trevor Colman MEP and the many others – to which we can now add Marta Andreasen MEP & David Bannerman MEP!
Amateur as UKIP may be or at very least utterly unprofessional why oh why would these unprofessional idiots move their tedious spat into the public domain?
What is professional or even competent in squabbling like ferrets in a sack in public and all about MONEY – and deliberately spilling the fight into the gutter on a public Forum as Steve Crowther did – perhaps the first consideration is when will UKIP fire its utterly incompetent and unprofessional staff and start acting like grown ups?
Dear Marta Thank you for your letter of 23rd inst, in which, however, I quite fail to see how my saying of you, “she hasn’t been seen in the UK for several months”, qualifies as “personal invective”, let alone slander! One point – when someone is a known liar and you have aided them and colluded with them in corruption and dishonesty what on earth would make you think you could then expect them to act honourably let alone honour any kind of undertaking when they know YOU to be corrupt?.
BUT this does tie in with many FACTS known to me and also rumour I have heard over some time!
.

Hi,
this is an interesting hypothesis which is being put about by a UKIP member and I am unsurprised that much of it ties in with details I have published on my blogs. also much of the balance ties in with information that has come to hand but which I have NOT published it as I could not confirm it from a second separate proven source.
It is all too easy as a blogger determined to publish the facts to be set up by those trying to hide the truth or dishonestly seeking to legally entrap you.
My blogs are based upon verrifiable and proven facts and I have NEVER wittingly misled anyone and NEVER published anything consequential which I have EVER had to retract or correct.
This article below is a third party comment passed on with good intent to TRY to Clean-Up UKIP to make it at least in some measure fit for purpose – which, whatever percentage of the information published below is true, it clearly is not!
Crowther and Labour & Nigel’s “plan”
This nugget fell into my lap and I just can’t resist the need to share it even though it’s probably all going to be dismissed as twaddle and paranoia.
I’ve only been a member of UKIP since 2009, but a friend I was at University with has been for ages, and s/he works for the party on the European level in a role I’m not going to say any more about.
Having not seen them up here for over a year we agreed to have a beer, during which time I tried my darndest to find out what on earth was going on with the party because to me it appears to be all an utter shambles at the moment.
Looking to their left and right to check we were not being overheard (seriously), my friend leaned in to tell me some things that still has my ears ringging. An MEP, probably of only two MEPs who are actually “in the know” got p*ssed some days ago and let slip what’s actually going on apparently.
Andreasen is spot on. The party is in essence bankrupt. But it can dismiss her allegations as phoney, and it continues to function through regular injections of cash. Virtually brown envelopes full are handed over. But the source pumping this money in, or rather receiving it, is actually Stephen Crowther the Chief Exec.
The origin of the funds is most probably the Labour Party, or rather monied Union types. Crowther was a Labour man most of his life (a card-carrying member of CND no less) and only recently had a “miraculous conversion” to the UKIP cause.
It’s Labour money that is in essence keeping UKIP on life support while Farage and Co. try desperately and hoplessly to pry dosh out of Wheeler and the City. Quite ironic really.
The bitterness was palpable. It’s felt it seems that a UKIP without Farage is a terminally hollowed out entity destined for complete collapse. Nigel has centralised so much that his removal as leader would spell the end for the party. An enormous boost to the Conservatives, which have already suceeded in neutralising their Eurosceptic element.
The faithful would then they believe return to the flock, with only a few left over, to join the remnant nutcases of the also bankrupt BNP, in the English Democrats. And that is a scenario that Miliband’s lot can’t allow to happen because as the economic numbers improve, splitting the Tory vote is one of the few ways they have of preventing a majority at the next election.
Needless to say as someone who travelled to London to be on the Rally Against Debt this talk of union cash horrified me, though I don’t know whether this remark was in earshot or is third or fourth hand, but the reasons to be miserable didn’t stop there:
Actually in all of this Farage is largely indifferent. He doesn’t care either way. If you want to know what the top of UKIP looks like it’s mostely Crowther running about keeping the thing afloat.
Only a tiny handful of people really know what’s going on or have any say. The membership are viewed with contempt and are largely resented by the leadership. The reason is because the party has basically become about keeping the MEP seats alive as potential cash cows, and people can only be expected to keep voting for UKIP and keeping those MEP seats if UKIP can actually demonstrate some marginal growth. The leadership actually blames the membership for the party’s bad performance at the locals because of what it means for the future.
Nobody though is seriously interested in really growing the party. Let alone making it successful. It’s just about maintenance. They all just want to keep their jobs and use the membership to make that happen. Farage though couldn’t care less because of Wheeler. Wheeler has been burned so is only handing over money very slowly. But he’s said in so many words that without Farage making his speeches in the parliament, which is the only thing UKIP is good for, there is no point in him sticking around. No Farage means no Wheeler. Which is why Nigel is largely very relaxed. He also has his own exit strategy.
At this point I was completely silent with my face deep in my pint (think you can guess what I drink) not wanting to say or do anything that would make my friend stop talking. It was like being in a car crash where everything slows down.
Obviously this is only all the things I can remeber about a chat that lasted about half an hour, but it seemed like hours. The mood became blacker and blacker as the evening wore on and I ended up feeling like a lame horse, with my pal as a vet just looking at me with pity, wondering about the best way to put me out of my misery.
Nigel has a simple plan, and that is that he is already warming up his replacement just in case his position becomes completely untenable. Nuttal. So over the coming months Farage will concentrate on seriously weaking any and all serious potential opponents to his prefered succesor, just in case. And of course he knows that the membership are just fool enough to vote for whoever he actually nominates.
Paul isn’t exactly the smartest MEP, in a cotterie of not particulalry gifted MEPs Nigel has been careful to surround himself with. So nobody is under any illusions that even under his preferred new leader, Nuttal, Nigel would continue to pull the strings. That’s the Plan B that will keep Nigel in charge, and in Strasbourg, no matter what happens.
I don’t think I have to say that by this stage this all started to sound like Junius-type conspiracy theorising so I put it down to too much booze, and the influence of our favourite UKIP attack blogger. And I said as much. But s/he was insistent:
(a) Junius is totally full of sh*te. All this b*llocks about Farage and Fuller is fantasy. The only person Nigel is ever likely to remain loyal to is Kirsten. It is true though that Fuller is madly in love with him, which is probably why she’s such a tart to try and get his attention. But he’s not in the least bit interested and never has been.
And (b) If you doubt any of what I’ve said just keep your eyes peeled. And see what happens.
I think what’s going to happen is me not renewing my membership.
As I have said all along – UKIP is no longer fit for purpose and the leadership and parasites MUST be a part of the Clean-Up if it is ever to be of any use as our lifeboat ever again.
Sadly I believe it is unlikely that UKIP will survive in any form other than that which it has been used and abused to date – A Milch Cow for the enrichment of a corrupt few at the expense of the gullible and very genuine members, supporters and voters who have voted for UKIP to Leave-The-EU – Only the utterly dellusional and politically idiotic have ever thought of UKIP as any kind of Political Party – Heaven only knows even UKIP claims to want less politicians NOT MORE PARASITES!
