UKIP deputy Godfrey Bloom has been “fined” seven day’s subsistence allowance – just over €2000 – for his outspoken verbal attack on German Socialist leader
Martin Schulz.
He said he would appeal against the decision which comes after he called Schulz “an undemocratic fascist” during a recent plenary session.
Bloom said, “If they think docking my lunch-money will stop me speaking out on behalf of my constituents’ welfare, they have another thing coming.”
“You notice immediately that they do not mention the issue of Schulz calling other
MEPs “Nazis”.
“In the
EU, it is clearly, ‘one rule for the goose, another for a gander.’
“The rule of law here is totally arbitrary and politically biased and I shall be appealing against this decision immediately.
A letter to Bloom from parliament’s president
Jerzy Buzek accuses him of acting in a “disrespectful and violent manner.”
It says his actions “did not respect” parliamentary standards and his words “drawing a comparison between Schulz and Nazi Germany” were “offensive both to Schulz and other MEPs.”
The letter goes on to say his intervention “severely disrupted” the “smooth conduct” of the plenary.
“Considering the offensive character of his intervention forfeiture of the daily allowance for seven days is considered appropriate.”

Hi,
clearly despite the time UKIP have ridden on the Gravy Train I am surprised that they have not yet discovered that the EU playpen is NOT a debating chamber it is set up so even the useless MEPs can give a schpiel to camera as a sound bite for home consumption.
Hence, often you will find MEPs in a near empty chamber delivering their sound bite to camera with no one even listening.
Take Farage’s recent highly successful clip addressing the unelected Rumpie & Barrosso it was superlative – Farage at his best but on the EUroparl YouTube it has scraped its way up to 416,000 viewings and just over 2,000 comments mostly opposing membership of The EU.
This sounds good but get real, this is not democracy when so few people out of the total market pay the slightest attention.
The ‘X’ Factor had an audience of some 20 times that within an hour!
The EU is not only a farce but very clearly on every count it is a failure unless you are a Massively Expensive Parasite living dishonestly on the money stolen from the people, that is NEVER professionally accounted.
Out of 27 vassal states 25 have fiddled their figures – out of those that are in The EUro straitjacket all are on the make and the take except Germany which is about to shout STOP.
The entire EU is a failed farce that can only be described as EVIL in the light of the dishonesty, corruption and the lies of its self appointed leadership.
Belgium is a role model of The EU with no effective Government its democracy has failed, its people wish to be French, German, Dutch, Walloon, Flemish well anything really except Belgian – just like The EU.
Rioting to start with will be sporadic but it WILL escalate as the Wars of Disassociation commence leaving EUrope with the very real possibility as its currency becomes worthless of famine stalking the planes of continental EU where the leadership incompetence and greed has steered the peoples into this TOTALLY predictable nightmare.
There is every possibility of 200,000,000 deaths across EUrope in the next 20 years as a product of the profligate duplicitous bloated life that has floated like the solids in a septic tank, to prominence in this crass experiment that all but a child could see was doomed save those blinkered by greed and blinded by the flash of Geld.
Start VERY carefully dismantling this obscene edifice and work WITH America as they withdraw to their shores and pull up the draw bridge to their land mass to function as an internalised and self sufficient economy – something The EU has destroyed in its 27 vassal regions where it has built anger and hatred where there was the slow growth of an economic trading region but greed turned that into a power grab for the idle and the corrupt.
I am 65 and when I was born my parents having given their youth to liberating EUrope from a very similar evil centralised dictatorship, there were under 2 Billion people on this small blue spec of dust hurtling through space – 65 years later there are 7 Billion people!
Have you EVER heard a politician of repute factoring this into their calculations – no indeed not as they have been too busy inventing scams like a pending ice age in the 1970s, running out of food in the late 1960s, nuclear armageddon 1950 to 1965, global chilling 1980s, the latest scam is anthropogenic global warming meanwhile the temperature is falling!
Yes the climate on this tiny rock is changing and we have little understanding of why but we do know the great driving force is THE SUN STUPID our local star equates to roughly a 1Kw. electric fire on full tilt for every square yard of the surface of land and sea on this little planet.
We have tame out of control idiots advocating wind power for their cut of the scam – windmills have proved USELESS and take years to pay back the energy used to make and errect them and then mostly don’t work – BUT the robber barons make money out of them with all the ethics of The Mongol Hoard!
Then we have the biggest theft in history on a par with that of The Spanish Conquistadores who stole South and Central America we have the indiffensable Ponsi scheme to invent a new currency for the wealth at the expense of the poor – Carbon Trading, based on not one iota nor shred of honest sound science another pure scam.
Governments learned many centuries ago that to Govern people and extract a parasitic living from decent folk one had to make them frightened of something, nay ANYTHING!
We even had charlatans inventing Gods that promised rewards after you were dead and many fell for it!
It would be funny if it didn’t realistically have a prospect of 200,000,000 deaths in EUrope alone as a result of the abject failure of the scams.
How will The EU feed its people now the CAP has destroyed the agricultural base and the CFP has destroyed the fisheries?
What will The EU export now that it has become so fat and over paid that it does not have a single mass production item that viably exports to pay the bills – reliance on selling eachother fashionable cars will not sustain The EU and soon no country in the world will be able to buy The EU’s cars.
To plagiarise Alvin Toffler’s comment of the 1960s when he wrote Future Shock and later The Third Wave he said ‘People call me an alarmist, too damned right I am alarmed’!
Now whilst the few competent minds that can be scraped together to work out ways of gently dismantling the rotting corpse of The EU I suggest the politicians are locked into the EU buildings as it is likely that soon the mob will not be baying ‘Off With Their Heads’ they may even be forced, for survival to joint them to feed those they left starving!
