FIRSTLY – Please accept my tardy reprtage of this obscene behaviour by Ukip MEP Gerard Batten in what seems to many, including myself, to be an abuse of his public office and a travesty under law seemingly colluded in by corrupt or at very least crassly irresponsible Police Officers – my delay is due to the fact that both my telephone and broadband access to the internet have both been of line since late Sunday/early Monday until late this afternoon, due to a fault on the BT line due to a break in their very elderly aluminium cable!

May I commend Louise MENSCH and many others for having had the perspicacity to note this obscene abuse of public office by Gerard Batten in breech of his elected position of trust for him to take advantage of his elected office to clearly collude with police of dubious morality to act on his behalf to seemingly abuse the intent of the judiciary yet again relative to anyone – in this case Jasna Badzak.

I am happy to attest that Gerard Batten has lied to mislead the police, whether with their collusion or not I can not say, in order to try to damage me and has also acted corruptly in his carrying out and influence of Ukip Kangaroo Courts having denied an individual appearing before a Ukip internal Court to ensure a defendant was denied the right to have the most basic of right to defend themselves.
Gerard Batten’s abuse of trust and his elected office as a Ukip MEP is and has often been crass, incompetent and beneath contempt. I believe his position is of such a low grade that had Ukip ANY integrity they would demand his resignation as an MEP – howe4ver having extensive experience of the levels of corruption and bullying endemic in Ukip I doubt they have even the understanding of ethics to act with integrity.

My own personal experience of the lack of ethics and self serving self seeking dishonesty and general behaviour, as I have observed, of Gerard Batten leads me to believe that the well known commentator, journalist and broadcaster Lee Jasper’s article is likely to be substantively true and correct.
Please be aware that my support and concern is not JUST for Jasna Badzak in this issue but also for her seriously damaged health, seemingly largely due to the dishonesty, bullying and harrassment she has endured at the hands of Gerard Batten and certain seemingly corrupt police officers and a subourned Judiciary, but my concern is also for my Country and the apparent unsound and untrustworthy state of all too many Politicians, Police and other public servants who seem to believe they have the right to uphold or invent ways to uphold what they perceive to be the law whilst acting partially and in self interest in ignoring many criminal offences to suit themselves.
Allk too often one can all too readily believe the police act as an out of control, over equipped occupying agency acting as enforcers on behalf of causes THEY find profitable at the expense of their role as public servants, again and again being reported or seen to be persecuting some whilst turning a blind eye to the crimes of others and closing ranks to obfuscate and cover-up actions when called to account.
A sad day for British standards of justice and values.

I understand that there is now an inquiry into the corruption, dishonesty and collusion to pervert the course of justice which now, due to the intervention of the head of the Metropolitan Police, is being carried out by the Professional Standards Department as it is alleged Gerard Batten has acted in abuse of his position to corrupt together with named police officers.
Gerard Batten’s apparent racism likely to incite racial hatred must surely be a part of this case – as was Lord Pearson’s in a double page spread in the media some time ago!

A few months ago, the “proposed charter of Muslim understanding” resurfaced. UKIP MEP, Gerard Batten, had commissioned it in 2006.

Batten recently told the Guardian that he could not see why “any reasonable, normal person” would object to signing it. The document proposes that British Muslims sign a declaration against violence. In a speech delivered to the House of Lords in 2007, Batten stated:

“The Proposed Charter has now been very slightly revised with one major change, to which I draw your attention, of the insertion of an Affirmation on page 29 that asks individuals, groups and organisations that represent Muslims to affirm their belief in certain basic values, these are: The equality of all before God and the law; equal rights for women; the rejection of intimidation and violence in the name of religion; religious freedom – specifically the right of Muslims to convert to other religions if they wish; and the tolerance of other religions and non discrimination against non-Muslims.”

Ukip maintain that asking Muslims to sign this ‘code of conduct’ had never been one of its policies. Yet, in 2007, the party website published a press release to promote Batten’s House of Lords event.

Another noteworthy quote from Batten’s speech:

“In 2006 I commissioned Sam Solomon to write an analysis of those Islamic texts that can be used by extremist Muslims to justify terrorism. That analysis developed into the Proposed Charter of Muslim Understanding, which was initially launched in Strasbourg in December 2006. It got little coverage in the UK but did get extensive coverage elsewhere, particularly in the USA.”

The story did find an audience in the United States. In 2006, articles appeared on Jihad Watch and WND. Conservative-leaning media also covered the story, as did several smaller newspapers.

Some years later, Republican politician Rick Womick made explicit reference to it:

“Show us that Islam is not at war with America by requiring that a Proposed Charter of Muslim Understanding be signed by those who profess a peaceful Muslim faith before entering the U.S. military”

Yet, few focus upon the charter’s author, Sam Solomon. Various sources state that he is a former Islamic jurist who fled to the UK after converting to Christianity.

In the past decade, Solomon established links with Christian Concern. The organisation opposes same-sex marriage and abortion.

In 2004, Sam Solomon worked with Andrea Williams, co-founder of Christian Concern, against the Religious Hatred Bill. At a 2008 conference, Andrea Williams confirmed that Solomon influenced her understanding of Islam. One year later, Christian Concern linked readers to a free PDF of the Muslim Charter. (Christian Concern founder, Andrea Williams, according to the Independent newspaper, angered gay rights campaigners after giving a speech in Jamaica and reportedy suggesting that the Olympic athlete – Tom Daley – is in a relationship with a man because his father died.)

Around that time, Solomon and Ukip’s Lord Pearson attended the International Legal Conference on Freedom of Speech and Religion. Other guests included Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller. Interestingly, both Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer have been banned from entering the United Kingdom by the Home Secretary of Her Majesty’s Government.

In May of 2011, Solomon spoke at the Geert Wilders “A Warning to America” event at Cornerstone Church in Nashville. The Tennessee Freedom Coalition (who supported EDL-founder Tommy Robinson) sponsored the event. But it did not deter Solomon or Williams from attending one of their events several months later.

Towards the end of that year, the same Nashville church hosted an event about the ‘threat’ of Sharia. One notable guest was Paul Diamond, of Christian Concern, who stated that his organisation might work with the Tennessee Freedom Coalition.

Paul Diamond also has links to Gerard Batten, as he defended Batten’s wife over an alleged unpaid television licence fee in 2010. A year later, Batten sent Christian Concern a document that suggested a ban on religious slaughter.

Christian Concern maintains a working relationship with Sam Solomon. But any connection to the Tennessee Freedom Coalition remains tenuous.

Of the seven books listed in Christian Concern’s online store, six are about Islam. Sam Solomon authored five (including the Muslim Charter). (A You Tube transcript of Andrea Williams on Halal labeling and foods is listed below and can be found through this link:

Because actually it’s a sign of a society subjugating herself to Islam, to the rules of Islam, and it’s been done very subtly. It’s extraordinary isn’t it, that we, in the United Kingdom, now in a chain of pizza restaurants are unable to have meat that’s non Halal. That’s an incredible situation to find ourselves in. In our banks, we’ve got Sharia compliant financing – a dual system, we’ve got the law society saying that wills should be made compliant to Sharia rules. We’ve got the reality that Sharia courts are operating, and what I say to that is this: there’s a dual system of law; Sharia law and English law, and although English law may not yet absolutely recognize Sharia law, or says that it doesn’t recognize law, once operational it’s going to be very hard to challenge it. We need to boycott those food outlets, so we need to write to Pizza Express, we need to write to the executive body there and say we will not frequent your restaurants. We need to write to our supermarkets and we need to say we won’t buy your meat. Or we need to say you need to clearly label your meat, we need to be given choice. We actually need to find our voice, otherwise we are just handing ourselves over to what the Muslims will see in a sense as being subjugated. It’s political subjugation. That’s what we’re currently – it’s very subtle – we’ve got Halal meat only in hospitals, we’ve got Halal meat only in schools – in certain hospitals and certain schools – Halal meat in certain areas of London, Halal meat in certain areas of the United Kingdom, and we – the people of Great Britain – think that that’s not real, but it is real. And we need to wake up and understand that that’s what we’re being served, and understand that it is a form of ideological take over.

Police ask blogger to remove tweet about Ukip

Police have asked a blogger to remove a tweet that fact-checked Ukip policies but did not break any laws after receiving a complaint from a Ukip councillor, prompting concern over attempts to stifle debate.

Michael Abberton was visited by two Cambridgeshire police officers on Saturday. He was told he had not committed any crimes and no action was taken against him, but he was asked to delete some of his tweets, particularly a tongue-in-cheek one on 10 reasons to vote for Ukip, such as scrapping paid maternity leave and raising income tax for the poorest 88% of Britons.

Abberton, a Green party member who writes a blog on science and green politics, described the incident on his Axe of Reason blog.

“The police explained that I hadn’t broken any law – there was no charge to answer and it really wasn’t a police matter.

“They asked me to ‘take it down’ but I said I couldn’t do that as it had already been retweeted and appropriated, copied, many times and I no longer had any control of it (I had to explain to one of the officers what Twitter was and how it worked). They said that they couldn’t force me to take it down anyway.”

However, to show goodwill Abberton removed all instances of the offending tweet.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “A Ukip councillor came across a tweet which he took exception to. The name of the person on the tweet was identified and that individual was spoken to. We looked at this for offences and there was nothing we could actually identify that required police intervention. Clearly, the councillor was unhappy about the tweets. If every political person was unhappy about what somebody else said about their views, we would have no politics.”

As for being told not to tweet about the visit, the spokesman added: “I don’t know if he’d have been told that. It’s certainly not the advice I would have given him. A gentleman has a right to free speech – absolute total right to free speech – we can’t tell people what they can and can’t say on the internet, as long as it’s within the law. We certainly don’t go to people’s houses and say: ‘You can’t tweet about this’. This is not 1930s Germany.”

On his blog, Abberton made it clear that the two police officers were extremely professional and polite, but he did wonder why they had visited him at all.

“It wasn’t until after they left that I questioned why they had visited me in the first place. A complaint had been made but with no legal basis. Not a police matter. So why did they come to my home in the middle of a Saturday afternoon? Also, seeing as my profile doesn’t have my location – how did they know my address, or even the town I live in? … Why would a political party, so close to an election, seek to stop people finding out what their policies are or their past voting record? And is it not a matter for concern that a political party would seek to silence dissent and debate in such a manner?”

Julian Huppert, the Liberal Democrat MP for Cambridge, who was contacted by Abberton, said he was awaiting a detailed response from the police.

“It seems astonishing for the police to get involved, there was nothing abusive or threatening in the tweets so I do want to know why they acted, and I want to know why the police told Abberton not to tweet about the visit.”

Huppert said he was pleased that Ukip’s policies were coming under scrutiny.

Natalie Bennett, leader of the Green party, said: “This police action is both disturbing and surprising. That an apparently general complaint from a political party about not liking what was said about them could have led to a police visit that many would find intimidating is an extremely serious incident that demands immediate investigation. Free speech is a precious right that we must defend.”

Bennett said the party’s only member in the House of Lords, Jenny Jones, would write to Theresa May, the home secretary, to ask her to investigate.

“What a waste of police time, energy and resources,” Jones said. “Their job is to investigate crime and catch criminals, not restrict free speech.”

You are not allowed to read this blog

I’ve written about different things and different people, but surprisingly for a blog (which, let’s face it, is pretty much the archetype of vanity publishing) I’ve never written anything about me.

Until now.

Yesterday afternoon as I was debating whether to continue watching some lame James Caan movie about midget submarines, I was disturbed by a police officer peering through my lounge window. I do live on the ground floor, so not as surprising as you may have imagined. I went to the door and there were two constables there. The first thing they said was that there was nothing to be worried about, they just wanted to come in for a chat. Not something that has ever happened to me before, but I showed them in and sat them on the sofa.

They wondered if I was the Michael Abberton on Twitter and I said yes. Then they said this was in relation to a complaint that had been made by a certain political party in relation to tweets I had published about them and one tweet in particular which talked about ten reasons to vote for them. The PC wanted to know if I had made that poster. I explained that I hadn’t but it had been doing the rounds on Twitter for a while, and so I had decided to see if these claims could be verified.

In doing this I set myself strict rules – nothing second hand, nothing from a newspaper, everything from an official party source as much as possible. Some I could find no basis for, and I highlighted these in bold. The only thing I quoted which did not come from an official party source was the parliamentary voting record. I explained all this to the police in some detail – also that on several occasions I had simply sent people the link to the official party manifesto.

The police explained that I hadn’t broken any law – there was no charge to answer and it really wasn’t a police matter. 

They asked me to ‘take it down’ but I said I couldn’t do that as it had already been retweeted and appropriated, copied, many times and I no longer had any control of it (I had to explain to one of the officers what Twitter was and how it worked). They said that they couldn’t force me to take it down anyway.

I asked if I could tweet about the visit. The straight answer was ‘no’, as this might appear prejudicial in light of the upcoming election and the police must appear to remain neutral. But they couldn’t stop me from doing so, as I had Freedom of Speech. Incredulously, I said, “…but you must realise how this looks!” One shrugged, the other looked embarrassed.

As they were getting up to leave I asked for clarification – was this in relation to possible copyright infringement – and they were very clear on that point. It wasn’t, and they didn’t see how it could be. And even if it were, again it would not be a police but a civil matter.

I’d like to be absolutely clear – the police officers were extremely professional and polite and I couldn’t fault their behaviour in any way. But it wasn’t until after they left that I questioned why they had visited me in the first place. A complaint had been made but with no legal basis. Not a police matter. So why did they come to my home in the middle of a Saturday afternoon? Also, seeing as my profile doesn’t have my location – how did they know my address, or even the town I live in?

About fifteen minutes after they left I received a threatening tweet from a party member I had had an exchange with earlier in the day. Though appearing to be no more than a party supporter, he seemed to know that the police had been involved. I copied the tweet and sent it to the police.

I contacted some people I’d had exchanges with involving this party. One of them put me in touch with a solicitor and a journalist and advised that I contact my MP, which I’ve done. And whilst acknowledging the fact that the police had no right to censure my posts, in order to show goodwill I removed all instances of the poster where I’d sent it @someone, and have not tweeted about the visit or about that political party since.

Nevertheless, the story has gotten out and it seems people do feel (rightly) outraged by it.

If I had been abusive in any way, if I had been dishonest in any respect or if any of the sources had been fake rather than official party links, I could in some way understand it. But all I had done is promote the party policy using links to their own sources – no editorialising, no commenting. And in fairness highlighted those allegations I could find no evidence for. One of the sources was their current manifesto!

Why would a political party, so close to an election, seek to stop people finding out what their policies are or their past voting record? And is it not a matter for concern that a political party would seek to silence dissent and debate in such a manner?

One has to wonder what makes these odious buffoons in UKIP believe the law is there to be abused to suit their convenience – be that the liar and fraud Annabelle Fuller with her implausible claims, having been caught stealing Andrew Bridgen MP’s Blackberry phone, House of Commons Pass and correspondence.
One wonders why The Metripolitan Police failed to charge her with theft at the very least, let alone false allegations of sexual harassment or even wasting Police time when she failed to stand by her implausible claim subsequent to having it published. Let us hope that it is not too late for the Met. to acquit their duty and arrest and charge her.
 Twitter comments lead me to believe that the UKIP councillor in question, who made the nuisance complaint to the Cambridgeshire Police was UKIP’s Regional Organiser Peter Reeve, who you may recall was some time back under investigation by the police for assault in his aggressive manhandling of an attendee at a UKIP meeting. Peter Reeve was also embroilled in an OLAF Fraud investigation by two UKIP MEPs who admitted to the Sunday Times that they were fiddling their expenses to pay his salary with tax payers’ money fraudulently obtained by Stuart Agnew and David Bannerman.
I also understand a UKIP MEP is under investigation for having subourned at least 2 Metropolitan Police Officers into corruption of the legal process and I shall be adding to Gerard Batten’s woes in the light of this fact by making a complaint of my own to The South Wales Constabulary who, acting on the instruction of The Met. saw fit to act as erand boys for Gerard Batten and interview me for almost three hours, under caution, based on dishonest claims made by this dishonest and corrupt MEP who I had clearly identified as corrupt and acting in a manner likely to promote racial hatred and possible violence.
Let us see just how institutionally corrupt The Metropolitan Police transpire to be in this matter and whether they are taking a position of revenge against the Government by acting to assit promote possible racial hatred and the interests of UKIP in a manner which would seem to me to be undeniably corrupt, it would also seem to involve members of the Judiciary.
Imagine if UKIP were to become a relevant power in Britain – it would be a Police State with the Police acting as political errand boys – a land where people walked in fear of corruption and abuse, bullying and dishonesty.

A UKIP candidate has made a u-turn over a series of “aggressive Twitter rants as he desperately tries to revive his election chances.

Ummer Farooq, 29, mocked Remembrance Day poppies as “occultism” and said the US staged the 9/11 attacks.

He also tweeted “every adult in the UK” should be armed and said Israel “created” Palestinian terror group Hamas.

But the latest embarrassment to UKIP boss Nigel Farage back-pedalled on Friday – as the party distanced themselves from his views.

He told the Sunday Mirror he had been “childish” and “aggressive.”

Farooq, bidding for a seat in the May 22 local elections, said of his tweets: “They don’t help. I shouldn’t be saying things like this.”

He claimed he had changed his mind and added: “I know many Jewish people through UKIP. They are nice.”

A party spokesman said yesterday: “We will investigate Mr Farooq’s comments. The views expressed are his own and are not UKIP’s.”

Farooq, who also tweeted that the Boston Marathon bombers were innocent, made his “apology” three days after UKIP suspended the star of its EU election campaign film over offensive tweets.

Zimbabwe-born Andre Lampitt was one of five supporters who appeared in a party broadcast for next month’s poll. But the council election candidate was suspended after he allegedly branded Islam “evil,” claimed the Prophet Muhammed was “a paedo” and said Africans should “kill themselves off.”

Farooq – aiming to win his party’s first seat on Labour-controlled Waltham Forest Council in East London – believes he will avoid the same fate with an apology.

Many will recall the self serving outburst of truth ffrom Mike Nattrass MEP when after years of utter irelevance he had finally shown a spark of ethical behaviour and denounced the racist associates of Nigel Farage and the odious group Farage had formerd from the gutter sweepings of EU politics.
Mike Nattrass’ flickering of integrity did not last long as having spoken out telling the truth about Farage he then sought to curry favour by rejoining the racist bigots Nigel Farage had surrounded himself with in the EU in his EFD Group. Presumably having changed his mind about retiring as he realised how dependent he had become upon the income and status it gave him!
needless to say Nattrass did not admit to just how involved in UKIP corruption he was nor how he had defended the corruption of the MEP candidate selection process in the past – kind of different when the dishonesty and rigging did not favour him any more. Ukip is facing a fresh storm of controversy as further evidence emerged of racism among its local election candidates, including a suggestion by one that the comedian Lenny Henry should emigrate to a “black country”.

Candidates have taken to social media sites to rail against Islam as “organised crime under religious camouflage” while likening the religion to Nazism, and suggesting that the murder of the black teenager Stephen Lawrence has received a disproportionate level of attention.

One candidate for election in Enfield, William Henwood, responded to a recent speech by Henry, in which he suggested there was a poor representation of black and ethnic minorities on British television, by tweeting: “He should emigrate to a black country. He does not have to live with whites.”

Ukip, polling at 18% in the latest Observer/Opinium findings, said the party was “non-racist, non-sectarian” and that “any comments made by members that fail to uphold these values will be duly investigated and acted upon”.

The latest developments will only add to Nigel Farage‘s woes after a disastrous week for the party in which its big advertising campaign has been picked apart. Ukip has already been forced to suspend the “poster boy” of its European party election broadcast after it was revealed he had posted a series of racist comments on Twitter. A builder in a Ukip poster accusing EU workers of taking UK jobs was discovered to be an Irish actor who migrated to this country, and a woman who appeared on a poster as a voter from Devon was Ukip’s events manager and an assistant to the party leader.

Ukip has attempted to improve its vetting of candidates in the local and European elections to be held next month, but it appears that some of their members will not be constrained on social media. Along with his comments about Henry, the party’s candidate in Enfield Town, London, has tweeted that “Islam reminds me of the 3rd Reich, strength through violence against the citizens”. He said Muslims “like us to fawn to them” and “young Muslim men remind me of young Afrikaners. They are taught at an early age they have the right to abuse”.

A Ukip candidate in Camden, Magnus Nielsen, used his Facebook account to post: “70% of mosques in the UK have been taken over by Wahabbi fundamentalists. Islam is organised crime under religious camouflage. Any Muslim who is not involved in organised crime is not a ‘true believer’, practising Islam as Muhammad commanded”.

And, earlier this month, in the wake of allegations of police corruption in the investigation into the murder of Lawrence, Matt Pavey, a Ukip candidate in Lewisham, tweeted: “Does anyone remember the name Jean Bradley murder unsolved in Acton, London, in 1993. Anyone looking for corruption here? No, thought not.” Pavey tweeted two days later: “Lets all take a moment to remember Jean Bradley stabbed to death on the streets of London in March 1993 and no justice #stephenlawrence.” And again that day he tweeted: “Lets please take a moment to remember Penny Bell stabbed 50 times in London 1991. No justice #stephenlawrence.” Pavey said he was not prepared to comment on his tweets but that there was “no malice” intended.

Gareth Thomas, the shadow minister for Europe, said the tweets should be seen as evidence that Ukip is “not fit to represent the country in Europe”.

The Observer has also learned that Ukip MEPs are employing foreign nationals as parliamentary assistants while the party publicly takes a tough public stance against European immigrants taking British jobs. Last week Farage was involved in an exchange with the BBC’s political editor, Nick Robinson, over the employment of his German wife as his secretary.

Gerard Batten, Ukip MEP for London, has hired foreigners in both his European and UK constituency offices. Pavel Stroilov, from Russia, works in Batten’s London office, while a Polish citizen, Kamila Zarychta, is his accredited assistant in Brussels. Batten said: “I employ people on the basis of whether I think they can do the job.”

Ukip’s East Midlands MEP Roger Helmer, who has an Italian assistant, Francesca Salierno, in Brussels, said: “I absolutely reject the assumption that because we’re opposed to mass immigration it is therefore somehow inconsistent and hypocritical for a Ukip MEP to hire a foreign person.” he said William Dartmouth, Ukip MEP for the south west of England, employs Line Sophie Munk Olsen, a Dane, as one of his four parliamentary assistants. A spokesman said: “He employs four British people in his office as well.”

UKIP is no more professional now that Mike Nattrass has departed than before when he was as embroilled in the racism, corruption and xenophobic extremism that typifies the party.
The pretence at professionalising and cleaning up their act and lies about being non racist and non sectarian are most clearly shown to be disingenuous bunkum when one notes that Paul Weston is still active within the party as is Gerard Batten MEP, when one considers the outrageous incitement to racial hatred lively resultant from the vile racist anti Islamic drivel from Gerard Batten as mirrored by that of Paul Weston.
Merely consider the vile antics of the undeniably corrupt Gerard Batten UKIP MEP who has stood at Nigel Farage’s right hand as a leading member of the party for many years and has not been deselected nor chucked out if only as an ignoramus let alone for his vile comments and total lack of understanding of concepts of justice and the values of decency.

We hear little of the concept of reparation being paid by these Arab and African ttraders nor of compensation to Britain for the seized who were enslaved in Rome nor later of the slaves captured on the South Coats, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and South & West Wales by the pirates and traders from the Barbary Coast who have become part of Britain’s folk history with the ritual of the ‘Moorish’ dancers, more frequently called Morris Dancers and their practices to lure the young to embarkation to slavery & sale in North Africa.
Unwise as it is to judge out of context we note UKIP has done nothing of consequence to censure Paul Weston nor anything atall to boot the odious rascval & liar Gerard Batten out of the party for peddling his vile superstitions which are inclined to incite race hatred, indeed he is selected as a lead candidate to support Nigel Farage!

One does not wish to comment on the gullibility of a UKIP MEP who is cheated out of £3,000 after a member of staff complains she has not been paid her wages by the European Parliament.

Suffice to say that, of the “services” in the EP, the payroll department is usually pretty slick, and it would have taken only a telephone call or an e-mail to check whether a payment had been made.

The report, however, disclosed that Mr Gerard Batten MEP had been hiring Jasna Badzak, 42, a Yugoslavian immigrant, as a researcher, on the knock-down rate of £10,000 per annum, considerably less than half a recently qualified English-born researcher might accept for this type of work.

This is the party, of course, which objects to immigrants coming to the UK and under-cutting local wage rates. One is thus reminded of party leader Roger Knapman, who in May 2006 was outed for hiring cheap Polish builders to do up his country mansion, keeping them in his attic and paying them half the rate of British workers.

Mr Farage is, of course, extremely voluble about such practices and Mr Batten, acting as chief whip for his boss, has also been quick to complain about the immigrant problem.

Mr Knapman’s excuse for hiring cheap immigrant labour, though, was that his Polish workers were far better than their British equivalents. When it comes to research, though, it is tempting to suggest that you get what you pay for.

Nevertheless, that may not be the issue here. The indications are that something far more tawdry is involved, and not all aspects of the Telegraph report hang together. There were, it seems, “issues” between the pair, and relations were far from cordial.

All the same, we may be seeing here a glimpse of why the UKIP research effort is so poor and, even though a jury found Batten to be an innocent party in this case, neither he nor his researcher emerges with any great credit.  Doubtless, this is not what UKIP voters expected when they cast their votes.

Personally I would not be surprised at any dishonesty on the part of Gerard Batten whose undenied overt apparent incitement of hatred of Muslims is indubitably likely to incite racial hatred.

Further, based on clear and evident examples of vile behaviour and lies by Gerard Batten I would not have been surprised ion any way to see him in the dock and proven guilty of criminal activity and as he is without morality and has proved willing to abuse his elected office for his own gain and to abuse others one has to wonder how on earth, after his lack lustre and self serving performance of his duties as an MEP, just how has UKIP been so foolish as to place him at number one on their 2015 MEP candidate list.

It does rather show just how low grade UKIP’s candidates are!

Hi,

as UKIP moves forward after a rather embarr assing year with not a positive achievement to their name one wonders when a political party of group will materialise that is fit for purpose to represent the aspirations of the majority who wish to Leave-The-EU.

The year started out embarrassingly with a guilty verdict against UKIP and its leadership Nigel Farage & his oppo Godfrey Bloom.

The OLAF enquiry into Fraud by Mick Nattrass & Graham Booth did not order Mike Nattrass to repay money but even the redacted FoI report showed his position was more akin to the Scottish position of ‘Not Proven’ whilst Graham Booth faced a guilty verdict and was ordered to repay a substantial sum.

Derek Clarke was also found guilty of fraud and ordered to repay a considerable amount – whilst Stuart Agnew & David Bannerman were still under investigation for fraudulent use of public money.

The year continued with not a single notable achievement by UKIP but at least with an apology published for Farage & UKIP’s abuse of Nikki Sinclaire in an effort to circumvent a near certain defeat and VERY costly damages in The High Courts.

Alan Hardy followed the example of others and won his case against UKIP costing UKIP some £30K for their appeal alone!

UKIP have as yet failed to act honourably and pay me the money ordered by the courts for the case Mark Croucher lost on their behalf despite the support of the clearly corrupt Paul Nuttall and the benefits fraudster and UKIP Press Officer Clive Page – UKIP lacks the integrity and morality to honour its debts – clearly UKIP does NOT represent British values as it hides behind the skirts of The EU succkling on tax payers money dishonourably extorted.

We then note that UKIP tried their best to talk down and distract from the efforts to obtain 100,000 signatures to obtain a Parliamentary debate on a Referendum based on In/Out of The EU.

UKIP leadership have prostituted UKIP to their income by association with The EFD Group a pro EU Membership reform group who have supported praise of Anders Breivik the mass murderer and extremist nutter of Norway.

We note that the ex leader of UKIP placed as a puppet to suit Nigel Farage’s personal ambitions has returned to opposing The EU in The House of Lords – Despites his dishonesty and despicable behaviour whilst UKIP leader Malcolm Lord Pearson has shepperded through The HoL his new Bill fopr a cost benefit analysis of membership of The EU – so far he has achieved the first faltering steps that include Reading 1 & 2 + the committee stage in The House of Lords and now this week he has managed to steer the Bill to its first stages in The House of Commons so we can expect Farage to climb on the band wagon and try to show this was a UKIP achievement just as he dishonestly did on the day of the House of Commons debate obtained by Nikki Sinclaire – UKIP and its vile band orf self serving sock puppets still try to talk down the achievement!

All who are remotely politically aware realise a Referendum is unlikely and even dangerous as we can count on our Civil Servants and Politicians cheating just as they did to dupe these United Kingdoms into membership of the EU in the first place.

None are as clearly aware of the dangers than Nikki Sinclaire hersel;f and hence her new campaign which will become more noticed in the spring.

The risks are great but not as great as complacency or working with our enemies or even with the scum of EU politics in the form of The EFD!

The year ends for UKIP with nothing of note achieved by the leadership in fact one member of their leadership has betrayed the Party as this blog warned some 7 years ago! David Bannerman has defected to The Tories in the false misapprehension that they trusted him yet his continued employment of Peter Reeve a UKIP staffer has done little to convince – He believed he would find himself a leading Tory candidate but it seems clear he has far too many enemies in the Tories and is rightly not trusted – a position not helped by David Bannerman’s serial lies about his ancestry.

All rather embarrassing for UKIP!

Now I note that nepotism is not confined to The Farage family though I doubt Stuart Gulleford’s son is earning the £30K a year paid to Kirsten Farage from UKIP funds. Though as shown by his confession to The Sunday Times Stuart Agnew is only too happy to fiddle the public purse!

A measure of UKIP leadership’s morality is well presented by the odious liar, cheat and low life Mick McGough – just imagine a party that finds someone so discredited, dishonest and obsessive is acceptable on its NEC this bufoon bases his comments on guesses and inaccuracy, vitriol and the assumption that others are so bereft of integrity they might sink to his levels and values!

consider Mick McGough is a UKIP NEC member and candidate for UKIP participation in the EU London assembly – also a prospective candidate for MEP and advocate of helping the EU structure in return for money as a leading spokesman for EU Party Membership!

Astonishingly Mick McGough is so convinced that others are as corrupt as he and would not act with integrity and publish the facts and the truth unless it was for money. The foolish old man tries desperately to defame me and my blog and that of Junius team – Mick McGough is a proven liar and cheat yet compounds that with his fantasies about Junius and myself.

Firstly unlike him I have NEVER received a single cent of EU money or any payment for my patriotic efforts and time spent seeking to Leave-The-EU.

Secondly I have NEVER lied or misled anyone on my blogs and he and the other liars working for UKIP have utterly failed to show a single solitary fact of the remotest consequence on my blog that could be defined as ‘untrue’ or ‘misleading’ – I have strenuously made efforts to ensure the material on my blogs is substantially correct and true and have assured all that ANY correction of note will be made if the correction exists and can be substantiated – Unlike Mick McGough I seek to tell the truth and work to Leave-The-EU.

Finally in further embarrassing conditions Gerard Batten finds himself on the stand in The Courts on allegations of racism, prejudice and incitement to racial and religious hatred, charges all who know him are likely to be aware of as likely!

It rather looks as if 2012 could lead to several of UKIP leadership being found guilty in the courts and maybe the realisation that UKIP are unfit for purpose in its present form!

My thoughts at this time of year are with those who lost a partner or child duruing the year and face the holiday period without them – particularly those whose loss has been due to cancer – also my thoughts are with those who know that their cancer will prevent them ever repeating this time of holiday next year.

I am minded that I faced just such a death sentence last year and give thanks to all who have helped and supported Lee and I during the year.

Hi,

although I know Gerard Batten is far from bright and also has little understanding of morality, ethics or Justice here are his views as a list MEP for UKIP regarding membership of a PEPP.


He does rather make a fool of himself in part when he claims he is a withdrawalist and would not wish to be associated with  a reformist PEPP.


After a couple of years as a member of the extremist, racist, anti homosexual, anti Jewish and pro EU membership Reformist EFD with no sign that he will ever develop a backbone of his own – One has to wonder why Gerard Batten introduces this outright dishonesty so undermining the rest of his opinions and claims.


I did however point out he really isn’t very bright and when it comes to backbone he is indubitably a spineless coward.


Why I will be voting No to UKIP joining a European Political Party:

I have taken a pragmatic approach to this issue and I base my decision to vote No in the internal ballot in September on the available information. In my view there are two main issues to be considered before making a decision. . 

Firstly, can UKIP MEPs or members join a European Political Party without compromising our withdrawalist principles? . 

Secondly, if the answer to the first question is ‘yes’, can the money or resources available be used to assist UKIP and our cause of British withdrawal from the EU? 

Would joining a European Political Party compromise UKIP’s withdrawalist principles? 

The honest answer to that we don’t know. 

We don’t know what it is we are being asked to join. We are being asked to sign a blank cheque and give blanket approval for UKIP MEPs and members to join an unknown quantity. What is the Constitution or ‘Statute’ of the party in question? Either we haven’t been told or it doesn’t yet exist. 

This ballot question should not even be posed at this time. It should wait until we can be presented with a specific European party constitution or statute that we can consider. 

If such a party were for example the ‘European Party of EU Withdrawlists’ specifically dedicated to nation states unilaterally leaving the EU then I might consider joining – but that is not what is on offer. 

The only statute that we have is that of the European Alliance for Freedom. The statute of this party is in the public domain and can be found on the internet. 

This includes the aim to: “campaign for a non-centralised, transparent, flexible and democratically controlled EU…” This is clearly not a withrawalist party but a reformist one. Do you want to reform the EU or to leave? I was a founder member of UKIP in September 1993 and it was I who proposed the name UK Independence Party. 

I am an unconditional withdrawalist and I would not join a reformist party. 

Can the money or resources available be used to assist our cause of British withdrawal from the EU? The basis on which European political parties will take part in the European elections in 2014 has not yet been decided by an EU Directive and transposed into national law. 

The practicalities of how a list of 25 or so candidates will campaign across the European Union has not been finalised and is causing some practical difficulties for those drafting the legislation. 

However one thing we know is that is that the list of candidates will fight under the name of their party, e.g. the ‘European Alliance for Freedom’ – not the UK Independence Party. 

The voters will most likely be presented with two ballot papers: one will bear UKIP’s name the other will not, it will bear the name of the European political parties. 

This will not directly help UKIP or our withdrawalist cause. 

The money available cannot be spent on UKIP. It can only be used on European political parties. The EU’s regulations clearly state the money cannot be spent on: 
. 
Campaign costs for referenda and elections (except for European Elections for a European Party). 
. 
Direct or indirect funding for national parties, election candidates and political foundations both at national and European level. . Debts and debt service charges 

PUT SIMPLY: UKIP CANNOT USE THIS MONEY

European Political Foundations: 
Great play is being made of the money that could be used to set up a political foundation as a ‘think tank’ to assist our cause. But once again, who will determine what this think tank produces? A foundation will be affiliated to a European political party.

We have the same problem as in our first question: what will be its platform?Will it produce studies advocating EU withdrawal or just EU reform? We don’t know. 

Is this issue similar to the one UKIP faced in the 1990s concerning taking up seats in the European Parliament? No. In 1994, as UKIP’s European Election Organiser, I argued that UKIP should fight on the platform of not taking up our seats in the European Parliament. After some years of careful consideration I changed my view in 2001. 

I was able to change that view because taking up our seats did not compromise UKIP’s withdrawalist principles. UKIP fights European elections on our terms – not those of the European Union or foreigners influencing or determining our party constitution or manifesto. 

Conclusion: 
The Yes campaign website in this ballot have kindly referred to me as follows, “Nobody who has the privilege of working with Gerard would describe him for a second as an ‘integrationist’ or a ‘federalist’. But to his substantial credit, he remains fully and properly engaged with the enemy at the front”
.
I am grateful for their generosity in acknowledging my efforts. But because I am an uncompromising, unconditional withdrawalist. I will not vote Yes to UKIP members joining a European political party until I know what it is, what it stands for, and that it will campaign for outright withdrawal from the EU. 

I intend to vote No in this ballot, and I hope that a majority of my fellow UKIP members will do likewise. When we are presented with a specific statute for a European political party, and a proposal for the work of a Political Foundation we can make an informed decision. 

Not until then.

David Bannerman lied about his track record in The Tories where he was virtually unknown and apart from being a bag carrier had never had much of a job.

Then he lied about his parentage.

He then lied about his ancestry.

He then lied about his achievements in a CV that contained almost as much Hockum and Self Serving Spin as the duplicitous and dishonest Marta Andreasen.

UKIP were then IDIOTS to take him on Just as The Tories are IDIOTS to take him back – a self serving dishonest and utterly oleaginous creep with some particularly unattractive personal peccadilloes.

Only Nigel Farage was gullible enough to make him his protege in UKIP – as he did with the fraud Marta Andreasen, The Tory Plant Stephen Sobey, The Idiotic Lord Pearson, The risible Christopher Monkton, The debauched drunkard Godfrey Bloom, The weak kneed Godfrey Bloom, Stuart Crisis of Confidence Wheeler, The ridiculous Paul Nuttall, The brown noses and liars Mick McGough, Gawain Towler, Michael Heavers, Ray Finch, Jon Ison, Annabelle Fuller, Peter Reeve, Mark Croucher, Malcolm Wood, Hugh Wil;liams, Stuart NFU Stuff The Party Agnew, Wee Willy Tantrum from Dartmouth, Need we go on?

Politics can be nasty business. Just ask David Campbell-Bannerman.

The Eastern MEP’s defection from UKIP to the Conservatives has angered his former colleagues.
“Nobody really knew who he was, there would have been a bigger reaction if one of our local councillors had defected to the Conservatives,” says Lisa Duffy, the UKIP Mayor of Ramsey in Cambridgeshire. She says she used to call Mr Campbell-Bannerman a close personal friend.
“I was with him at a party just the other week and he gave no indication he was going to do this. How can he say we’re just a pressure group? What’s he been doing for the last five years?”
UKIP’s leader Nigel Farage is also just as blunt about his former deputy, telling us: “I think he’s been a disappointment to our members in the East. This defection is purely about his career. We’ll just shrug our shoulders, ignore him and move on.”
If he didn’t have enough to cope with, Mr Campbell-Bannerman’s office in Cambridge has got a burst pipe and he’s had to base himself in Health Secretary Andrew Lansley‘s boardroom.
“You’ve got to be brave to do this” he says “and you do get a lot of abuse and vitriol but I haven’t changed by views. I am still 100% behind withdrawal from the EU” he said.
He hasn’t wasted time espousing his views within the Conservative party either.
In an article for the influential Conservative Home he said the Tories should be changing their policy on Europe either by allowing an in/out referendum or ideally by advocating withdrawal.
“The situation is changing,” he says. “The Euro is in trouble and may well collapse, more countries need bailing out, a growing number of people are questioning why we are still in the EU.
“I want to argue from within (for withdrawal). No one has painted a picture of a positive alternative of an independent Britain outside the EU trading in a friendly way.”
So within a fortnight of joining the Tories he’s already rocking the boat.
The Conservatives will tolerate Mr Campbell-Bannerman’s views – many other MEPs and MPs share them – but they are in the minority and there are no plans yet to change party policy.

I published the blog from Nikki Sinclaire’s blog the day it was published there but here it is with the full text – and it is good to see sound reasoning rather than yet another rant by Nigel Farage about his testicles or how he is the chosen one having been spared when run over blind drunk in a gutter, sacked from the City as a failure due to alcohol and with not a single genuine friend who is prepared to step forward in his support when publicised as consorting with a prostitute, funding his wife and mistress from the public purse or called on to resign by a corrupt MEP he cheated and lied to bring into UKIP.

The clamour of support from Malcolm Pearson, Stuart Wheeler, Hugh Williams, Stuart Agnew, Gerard Batten, Trevor Colman, Mike Nattrass, Paul Nuttal or ANYONE he isn’t directly funding through UKIP is deafening in its silence!

Out of interest for the Grass Roots Party Members so betrayed by their self serving leadership and its party funded parasites and leadership praise singers, YOU WILL NOTE subsequent to this article Nikki Sinclaire MEP accepted the apology and has agreed to set aside persuit of The Guilty Verdict or any resultant damages, which could have bankrupted UKIP and closed down the leadership self enrichment and scams once and for all.

It is clearly in Britain’s best interest to Leave-The-EU but NOT at the expense of prostituting UKIP to jump through The EU bribe enduced rings like performing poodles to help the leadership of UKIP enrich itself by selling its Party Members’ Principles to associate with extremists, racists, anti Jewish, violently anti homosexual pro EU membership scum of EU Politics as in The EFD Group or ever again to risk association with such vile low lifes in ANY Pan EU Political Party just to help The EU project destroy National Politics for payouts and bribes – such as Fishing Trips to The Seychelles on offer to MEPs and used to bribe other members of The EFD etc.

I can well see Nikki Sinclaire MEP standing as a UKIP candidate but only on her ethical stance and terms to ensure she can continue to acquit her duty to campaign to Leave-The-EU as she is with her Nation Wide Petition to embarrass The Government into holding a Full Day Debate YET AGAIN to explain how they have lied about The EU in Parliament and misled the people.

IF Nikki Sinclaire can get The 100,000 signatures, and she is well on the way with well over half – one ad alone brought in 5,000 signatures and on Friday in Shrewsbury approaching a further 1,000 were obtained and EVERY ONE of these people has received the Magazine and a form to obtain another 10 signatures each – the effect is snowballing whilst UKIP in The EU is achieving, after 18 years, almost nothing except a tasteless notoriety as irresponsible fools without ANY Gravitas or Dignity.

The Petition is due to start being presented via The Petition Bag on The Speakers Chair by a totally Cross Party list of MPs who are now working in support of The Petition.

The Government MAY WELL try to duck out of their undertaking so then is the time to pile on more publicity with all the help she can get – this MAY NOT BE the crack in the armour but it is sure to hell worth trying whilst UKIP Leadership keep squabbling like ferrets in a sack to keep their snouts in the trough and feed their parasites.

MEP Nikki Sinclaire still hoping to stand for UKIP at next election

West Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire fell out with her UKIP colleagues last year, but she tells Political Editor Jonathan Walker why she could still return to the fold – and why she turns her back when she hears Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.

A rebel MEP who was expelled from UKIP and took the party to an employment tribunal has said she still hopes to stand in the next European elections – as a UKIP candidate.

Nikki Sinclaire said she could still patch things up with her party despite a bitter public feud with leader Nigel Farage and an ongoing row over allegations of sexism and homophobia.

Ms Sinclaire revealed this was not the first time she took legal action against UKIP. A High Court ruling in 2004 found in her favour after the party attempted to remove her from its National Executive Committee.

She went on to become the second UKIP MEP representing the West Midlands when she was elected in 2009.

Speaking to the Birmingham Post, Ms Sinclaire also said she had spent £11,000 from EU funds on newspaper adverts to promote her campaign for a referendum on leaving the EU.

The campaign, backed by West Midlands UKIP MEP Mike Nattrass and celebrity chef Rustie Lee, has so far attracted 50,000 signatures.

She said: “The adverts were paid for out of my communication budget, and that had to be pre-approved by the Parliament. It was fantastic to get that.”

Ms Sinclaire’s joy in becoming UKIP’s second West Midlands MEP in 2009 quickly turned sour after she fell out with her colleagues in 2010 over her refusal to sit with the Europe of Freedom and Democracy group, UKIP’s group in the European Parliament.

This included parties from other European nations, including some which she considered to be homophobic and anti-semitic.

As a result, she was stripped of the party whip, preventing her from calling herself a UKIP MEP or standing as a UKIP candidate in future elections.

Ms Sinclaire has also claimed her poor relationship with Nigel Farage, UKIP’s leader from 2007 to 2009 – who became party leader for a second time last November – was a factor in her expulsion.

Since then, she has been joined as an independent by Mike Nattrass, the other UKIP MEP in the West Midlands, and Trevor Colman, UKIP MEP for the South-west, both of whom have left the Europe of Freedom and Democracy group.

However, unlike Ms Sinclaire, neither of them was disciplined by UKIP.

Ms Sinclaire won a claim for sex discrimination against her former colleagues at UKIP at an employment tribunal last December.

But despite the result she said she would be happy to return to the fold if she got the chance.

She said: “There are ongoing issues at the moment, but I have been at loggerheads with UKIP before and then came back.

“So I wouldn’t rule it out.”

It would be hard to win re-election as an independent, she said.

“I’m 42 and I can’t see myself wanting to retire yet. I would want to keep fighting.

“But European elections are about parties, not people. It’s all about your profile.”

Ms Sinclaire publicly said she was a lesbian in an interview with the Pink Paper in 2004, saying she wanted to show that UKIP was not an “anti-gay”, intolerant party.

But she said she did not want to be seen as a campaigner for gay rights, although she paid tribute to politicians such as Labour West Midlands MEP Michael Cashman, the former Eastenders actor, who were.

“I have never been a gay rights activist. I respect the people who have, like Michael Cashman, and probably if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have been elected.

“I know Michael Cashman went through hell when he first got elected. I’ll be there to support issues, but I’m not an activist.

“I think my sexuality shouldn’t count. It really shouldn’t matter.”

What she did want to focus on was the abuse of taxpayers’ money by the European Union, she said.

“For example, MEPs can claim a daily living expense when they are at the European Parliament, but you get MEPs signing in on Friday in Strasbourg, when there is no official business and claiming their 304 euros (£265)

“They start at 7am and sign in. They go downstairs, get into an official car, go to an airport or Eurostar and they’ll be back in the country at 8am or 9am.”

Ms Sinclaire also attacked Conservative MEPs, claiming they stand to attention when the EU “national anthem”, the final movement of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, is played.

She said: “The Conservatives annoy me. When they play Beethoven, the number of Conservative MEPs who stand to attention – probably two thirds of the Conservative MEPs stand up for that.

“I tend to get up, turn my back and sit on my desk.”

The European Constitution, which was officially scrapped when French and Dutch voters rejected it in 2005, would have given the movement, Ode to Joy, official status as the EU anthem. However, Ms Sinclaire said that it was treated as an official anthem anyway.

Hi,

Gerard Batten was involved in a car accident in the early hours of Sunday morning – his indifference to the injuries of others involved was notable.

We rather hoped his wife was uninjured and although the motorbike would seem to have been stolen the condition of the two youngsters arrested would seem to give concern.

Euro MP Gerard Batten was caught up in a suspected hit and run in Forest Gate.

The UKIP representative’s Ford Focus was involved in a three vehicle pile-up at the junction of Cann Hall Road and Dames Road at about 12.15am on Sunday.
A blue BMW and motorcycle, both believed to have been stolen, were also involved in the collision.
Police were called to the scene amid reports the driver of the BMW assaulted the 18-year-old motorbike rider and fled the scene before officers arrived.
The rider, who is from Haringey, suffered a broken hip and remains in hospital.
Both he and his passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Newham, were arrested and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Mr Batten, who was travelling with his wife at the time of the crash, suffered head, back and shoulder injuries and was off work on Monday.
His vehicle was also badly damaged.
He told the Recorder: “My wife and I were both severely shocked by this, but I’m just grateful I was not more seriously injured.
“I have given a full statement to the police and I sincerely hope they will arrest those responsible and lay charges against them.”
