Hi,in the light of my earlier postings on this subject and its background I must admit I was unsurprised to find that both Christopher Booker and Richard North would seem largely to hold the same views, though clearly they have expressed them in a more susinct and less verbose manner!

Though the style may be different it seems the understanding and belief is the same – this I attribute to the fact that both of them are professional journalists whilst I am but a casual (unpaid) blogger, expressing my views and exposing the criminality and venal nature of some in public office.

Though it goes unexpressed by both Booker & North, in this article, I found the glee with which Nigel Farage and his cult lept on the bandwagon to seek out populist votes by presenting the racist aspects of these crimes as an example of the folly of ‘multiculturalism’, as they saw it as little more than an attempt at self serving efforts for personal gain – by poring fuel onto a raging fire.

Clearly neither Nigel Farage nor the main body of his cult and advisers would seem to have had a clue in terms of the background of the events and were all too willing to take the knee jerk anti Islamic stance so prevalent amongst the ignorant and the irresponsible.

I guess no one ever lost out in the short term by leaping on a bandwagon to stir up support in the gutters of politics, but as Ukip have proved time and again this has shackled them to the ‘also ran’ end of politics and after 22 years they not only still have absolutely zero responsible, ethical and workable EU eXit and survival strategy – very few Councillors and zero Ukip MPs bar two Tory turncoats from the disgruntled tendency of the Conservatives.

Ukip, with their populist buffoons, omni present internal squabbling, Viz like behaviour and desperqate self doubt that leaves them following rather than leading or representing any other than those who value politicians as drunks in the pub and who seek to build an impenetrable glass ceiling to their clamouring by seeking to blame everyone but themselves for their failures.

A party clearly willing to use and abuse the Police, Justice and due process to dishonestly try to protect themselves from exposure for what they are whilst sneering at the law whilst stuffing their pockets at public expense.

You will I believe find Christopher Bookers’s and Richard North’s articles below both informative and unequivocal – enjoy, assuming you are not a follower of Nigel Farage’s cult!

As the founding editor of Private Eye, Christopher Booker has a better claim than most to judge the nature of satire. And, in this week’s column, he explores the dark side of Charlie Hebdo, and the events surrounding the recent horrendous events in Paris.

As the dust begins to settle on those, writes Booker, a clearer sense of perspective is starting to creep in round the edges. The Pope suggests that those who are too provocative to Islam can expect “a punch”. And even a co-founder of Charlie Hebdo says that its murdered editor’s urge to provoke had “dragged the team to its death”.

And it is as the original editor of Private Eye, who over the years has probably contributed as many words as anyone to its “satirical” pages, that Booker has looked askance at much of what has been said and written about these events in recent days.

When David Cameron announced on Twitter that he was joining that vast rally in Paris “to celebrate the values of Charlie Hebdo”, one wondered whether he had even previously heard of that little magazine, let alone looked at its pages.

Did he really wish to celebrate crude cartoons showing a naked Mohammed with a star coming out of his bottom, captioned: “A star is born?” Or another, captioned “The film that embraces all the Muslim world”, showing a naked Prophet holding a camera to his bottom, saying: “And my ass? You love my ass? “

Did our Prime Minister really want to applaud a picture of the Pope, scantily clad as a Rio prostitute, saying: “Ready for anything to win some clients?” Even these are only among the images available online. There are others even more dubious, showing Jesus masturbating and the Virgin Mary engaging in sexual acts.

If this is meant to be “satire” that only someone without “a sense of humour” would find offensive, some might point to that strain of British cartooning exemplified by Gerald Scarfe.

For decades, he has repeated images of some powerful man exposing his bottom to a lesser figure trying to kiss it. At different times, these might have represented Harold Wilson grovelling behind President Lyndon Johnson, or Tony Blair likewise behind President Bush, or David Cameron with Rupert Murdoch.

But this hardly ever has represented satire at the wittiest and cleverest level of which it is capable. (The only cartoon on recent events that evoked a faint smile was one that showed a masked terrorist standing with his gun over a dead cartoonist, saying “He drew first”.)

In trying to understand in human terms why this particular conflict came to such a gruesome climax, we must also call into play the plight of those five million Algerians living in France. For decades, they have lived as third-class citizens, stuffed away in the ghastly concrete suburbs of Paris and other cities, treated with contempt by the authorities and horrifying violence by the police, and this has created a sense of utter alienation and despair.

It is out of that rejection that the terrorists came, with murder in their hearts, seeking deadly revenge for the deliberate insults given to the religion which, however pervertedly, gave them a sense of identity. Thus did we see yet again that age-old pattern whereby opposing extremes feed on their obsessive hatred for each other.

All this culminated in last Sunday’s extraordinary display of emotion on the streets of Paris, led by an array of besuited “world leaders”, with television interviewers rushing round trying to get people to explain why they had wanted to join this demonstration of “solidarity”. With shining exceptions, they replied like automata that they were there to support “democracy” and “the right to free speech”.

No sooner did these pious phrases emerge than one began to wonder how meaningful it is any longer to talk about “democracy” in a Europe where people have never felt more estranged from their politicians – and where they are now so lost and unhappy in the grip of that great act of make-believe, the “European Union”.

How ironic, we thought, that this mass demonstration in favour of “the freedom of the press” should take place in a country whose “Ministry of Culture” has lately detailed the huge state subsidies given to France’s leading newspapers, to help keep its press more cowed and tightly controlled than any west of Russia.

In a time when there is such pressure to prevent people saying things that do not conform with group-think – when every kind of “political correctness” rules; when Christians are arrested for quoting the Bible in the street, for fear of giving “offence to minorities”; when boarding-house owners are prosecuted for not wishing to let rooms to gay couples; when there are calls for “climate change deniers” to be sacked or put on trial; when judges repeatedly threaten people with imprisonment for trying to expose the travesties of justice in their “child protection” system – who really knows what “freedom of speech” is any longer?

There has been no better comment on the clouds of humbug recently billowing in all directions than the admission of BBC employees that they are under an edict from apparatchiks on high that they must not on any account describe to their audiences the contents of any of those Charlie Hebdo cartoons.

It is the kind of thing that made Booker want to put a collective photo-bubble on those shots of the politicians leading two million people through the streets, all in grey unanimity, intoning the words of the old song, “Clap hands, here comes Charlie”. They didn’t really have the faintest idea what they were talking about.

Brexit: Harrogate – of seminars and old hatreds

Next Wednesday, courtesy of the Campaign for an Independent Britain (CIB), we will be launching the first of a series of seminars on the EU – click flyer (left) for details. The day session is directed mainly (but not exclusively) at the business community and is free of charge, making it rather better value than the seminar planned by the Continental Drift at £1,800 per person.

I am taking the afternoon session, when my talk will be based on an expanded version of my successful presentation in Iceland. It was there that I first outlined in public some of my ideas for how we might leave the EU.

Needless to say, this heightened activity is bringing the wreckers out of the woodwork. Already, there is an active e-mail campaign, where the groupescules have convinced themselves that Booker is variously taking instructions from the Barclay brothers, and or is an MI5 “sleeper” with myself as his handler.

It would be very easy to dismiss these people as a joke (correction: it is very easy to dismiss these people as a joke), except that they are the same group who possess the soul of UKIP, insisting that Article 50 is a “trap”.

These are the people who now aver that EUReferendum, Witterings from Witney and other such blogs are “usually product of MI5’s RICU (Research Information Communications Unit)” aimed at “sabotaging the retrieval of our democracy”.

And so incensed is one of them, Lynn Atkinson, wife of Rodney Atkinson – who has never forgiven Booker for having “betrayed Jimmy Goldsmith’s Referendum Party at the last minute” and “sabotaged” his own “election as UKIP leader” – that she is planning to come to Harrogate, telling us that when she saw the flyer, she “thought it had been devised by the European Movement!”.

This is a flyer, incidentally, which advertises my talk on how to leave the EU but, according to Mrs Atkinson (and many hundreds like her), “Dr Richard North not only does not know how to exit the EU” – he “DOES NOT WANT TO EXIT THE EU!” (her capitals).

Thus, she tells us, “I shall certainly be attending in order to contradict him loudly and stop him doing even more damage than he has already done, just when Britain has made up its mind at last (too late now, the invaders outvote us in London and soon will all over the country)”. The latter is hugely ironic coming from a South African immigrant of Irish origin.

For us, though, this rhetoric is nothing new – it is a continuous and continuing backdrop to everything we do, a hard core within UKIP and alongside it, comprising in part manic Christian fundamentalists who combine Islamophobia with scarcely-concealed racism of such an intensity that it would frighten off the KKK as too extreme.

These are the people, alarmingly, who form a hidden “Praetorian Guard” within UKIP, a constant threat to Farage. With the support of much of his inner circle who share their values, they keep him on the “straight and narrow”.

It would be wrong to say that these people run UKIP – they do not. But their influence is pervasive, writ through the DNA of UKIP and inseparable from it. And there is nothing unreal about their hatred of “non-believers” such as myself who made the “mistake” of putting up two Islamic candidates for UKIP at the 2001 general election.

Now that I contradict their mantra of overnight repeal of the ECA as the only way to leave the EU, disbelieve the “fact” that the EU is a Nazi plot, and support the “trap” of Article 50, I am totally beyond the pale. That I am prepared to contemplate negotiation with the EU is treachery of the highest order.

Over on Autonomous Mind, you will see some words of wisdom on how we should construct our referendum strategy, but to the Praetorian Guard, such words are the vilest of heresy. Reasoned argument simply invokes a hatred that you could cut with a knife as they spread their conviction that anything short of immediate, unilateral withdrawal from the EU is written by or for MI5 with the intent of keeping us in the EU.

By comparison, their “dislike” of EU is relatively mild. They direct most of their energies and tenacity to the pursuit of “traitors” and “saboteurs” such as myself. We are the true objects of their hatred, our primary qualification for attracting their ire being that we do not wholeheartedly agree with them.

This, sadly, has been going on for decades, an enormous expenditure of energy which spills out into countless poisonous briefings, snippets of which even find their way onto this blog’s comments and the forum, their immediate authors often unaware of the original source. They achieve nothing but to hamper those who are seeking to take the fight to the real enemy. But then, to the Praetorian Guard, we are the real enemy.

Despite all that, we will be at Harrogate next week and even if Mrs Atkinson is not there in person, she will be there in spirit to remind us of how much we are hated for daring to take on the EU in a way of which they do not approve. Unwittingly, though, they are of huge assistance to us all. By comparison, they make fighting the EU look easy.

One recalls in this context the words of the American poet Maya Angelou, whose death was announced today. In her poem, I rise, she writes: “You may shoot me with your words, You may cut me with your eyes, You may kill me with your hatefulness, But still, like air, I’ll rise”.

In Memoriam Maya Angelou

Born 04-Apr-1926 – Died 28-May-2014

Who, though born into poverty and hardship in the Southern States rose from her background of rape at 8, the murder of her rapist by her uncle showing a strong personality even in her early years this black lady built an outstanding reputation in the Civil Rights movement working alongside such iconic figures as Martin Luther King and Malcolm X – who then built a career in music spreading her reputation internationally as a singer with a fine repetoir in calypso.
Maya Angelou then built a career, though ever willing to burst into song, as a poet and biographer tackling her early years head on in ‘I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings’ which covered her life from 8 to 17.
Maya angelou went on to write and publish some 35 books including seven autobiographies, three books of essays, and several books of poetry, and is credited with a sizeable list of plays, movies, and television shows spanning more than fifty years.
Ever willing to promote or defend her views in rich discourse both face to face and on live media.

Her President commented on her death saying:

“one of the brightest lights of our time”.

He hailed Angelou, who has died aged 86, as

“a brilliant writer, a fierce friend and a truly phenomenal woman”.

President Barrack Obama awarded her The Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011
whilst before him
President Bill Clinton awarded her The National Medal of Arts in 2000.

A staggering achievement minded of the poverty, abuse and prejudice into which she was born some 86 years ago. Her leadership and example may well be best known from her interviews by Oprah Winfrey and others.

I believe each of our lives are enriched by her achievements just as our lives are diminished by her passing – a measure of her strength speaks volumes of her life:

Brigadier Anthony COWGILL a Pillar In The Defence Of Freedom

Last Sunday a man I am very honoured to have spoken with extensively over several years died – it was not until his death last Sunday that I realised his age. In our conversations he was generous with his time and tolerant of my naive questions as I sought to learn ever more about my Country’s enemies of The EU.

I deffer to the words of Christopher Booker who knew him considerably better than I.

After eight years of tortuous discussion, the Lisbon Treaty, by hook or by crook (but mostly, some would say, by crook), is all but a done deal. The EU will shortly have its constitution by any other name and take its place on the world stage as a fully fledged government, complete with its President (not Tony Blair), Foreign Minister (not David Miliband), an unelected Cabinet (in the shape of the European Council) and enormous new powers over all our lives.

Strangely, however, thanks to the skulduggery whereby they had to pretend that the treaty was not the constitution they wanted, we are not yet officially allowed to read the constitution we shall all have to live under. To assist their sleight of hand, the document the politicians signed at Lisbon consists only of amendments to previous treaties (copied out verbatim from the rejected constitution). Read out of context, these amount to little more than gobbledegook.

The one person who made it possible for us to read our new constitution in comprehensible form was Brigadier Anthony Cowgill of the British Management Data Foundation (BMDF). With extraordinary diligence, and much aided by his son Andrew, he produced a “consolidated” version of the treaty, putting all the amendments into context. What is more, over the past 17 years, Tony Cowgill had performed this invaluable service for each new European treaty in turn, used by politicians, civil servants, lawyers and others all over Europe.

On Thursday night this remarkable man, an unsung hero of our time and a good friend of mine for over 20 years, died just before his 94th birthday. Last Sunday, in my last conversation with him, he said “the secret of remaining active is to remain active”.

I hope to be able to pay proper tribute elsewhere to Tony Cowgill’s various impressive contributions to our country’s life, including his leading part in correcting the woeful misrepresentations of the episode in Austria at the end of the Second World War, when we handed back a large number of Cossacks to the Soviet Union. Brigadier Anthony Cowgill

Brigadier Anthony Cowgill, who died on October 29 aged 93, had a varied career as a soldier; as chief industrial engineer for Rolls-Royce; and providing high-level liaison between many of Britain’s leading companies and government policy-makers. But his two most notable contributions – illuminating one of the most controversial episodes of the Second World War and explaining the “gobbledegook” of EU treaties – were made at an age when most people have retired.

The first of these achievements centred on the British Army’s handover, in Austria in 1945, of 47,000 Cossacks to the Soviet Union. This later led to widely publicised allegations that Harold Macmillan, in 1945 Britain’s political representative in the Mediterranean, and Lord Aldington, a senior officer in Austria at the time, had conspired to defy orders and higher command by handing over the Cossacks to almost certain death. Exhaustive researches by a small team headed by Cowgill showed that the charges were baseless and had arisen from a fundamental misreading of the historical evidence.

The second initiative to win him plaudits was to present the ever more complex series of European treaties in a form which made them uniquely comprehensible. His annotated editions of each treaty, from Maastricht to Lisbon, continue to prove invaluable to politicians and many others.

Anthony Cowgill was born on November 7 1915, the son of a Yorkshire mill manager. Educated at Bradford and Manchester Grammar Schools, he went on to graduate in Mining Engineering at Birmingham University. Shortly before the start of the Second World War he signed up for the regular Army, joining the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers after Sandhurst. He spent a year in Canada helping to develop the waterproofing of tanks, a secret weapon key to the success of the Normandy invasion in 1944. Landing in France shortly after D Day, he served on Montgomery’s 2nd Army headquarters’ staff until the end of the war, and was present at Luneberg Heath in May 1945 when Montgomery took the surrender of the German forces in northern Europe. Shortly afterwards Cowgill was awarded a military MBE.

He was then, as India prepared for Independence in 1947, seconded to the Partition Commission, organising the separation of the country’s armed forces between India and Pakistan, after which he was assigned to the new Pakistani army. This led to what he described as the most worrying moment of his life. Returning to his Lahore headquarters one day he found himself, in British Army uniform, the only white man on a train overrun by thousands of armed Pathan tribesmen bent on seizing Kashmir. Sure his last hour had come, he was highly relieved when, addressing him as “sahib”, they treated him instead with friendly respect.

After serving in the Korean War, Cowgill eventually retired from the Army as a brigadier in 1969 to become Chief Industrial Engineer to Rolls-Royce. He was closely involved in the final stages of the development of the revolutionary RB-211 jet engine, the costs of which led to the firm’s bankruptcy and its nationalisation by the Heath Government in 1971, although the RB-211 was ultimately a huge commercial success. In 1979 Cowgill set up the highly-respected British Management Data Foundation (BMDF), run from his home in the Cotswolds, to provide expert briefing to many of the leading companies in British industry and to assist them in high-level liaison with government on matters of common concern.

In 1986, then aged 71, he was shocked to read The Minister and the Massacres, a book by Count Nikolai Tolstoy accusing Harold Macmillan of having conspired with senior Army officers in 1945 to commit a “war crime” by handing over large numbers of surrendered Cossack and Yugoslavs to face death at the hands of their Communist enemies, in flagrant breach of military orders. Since this was the gravest charge ever levelled at a British prime minister or at the British Army, he invited Lord Brimelow, a former permanent head of the Foreign Office, and the journalist Christopher Booker, both of whom had studied this unhappy episode, to join him in a full investigation of the facts.

Initially all three had found Tolstoy’s account persuasive, but were aware that there were significant gaps in the evidence. By a remarkable feat of detective work over four years, Cowgill managed to track down all the missing signals and orders necessary to a proper understanding of what had happened. In particular, thanks to inspired guesswork, he discovered in a Washington archive 127 unopened boxes containing many key documents previously thought lost. What gradually emerged was a picture of the events totally at odds with the version given by Tolstoy.

In 1989 many of these documents played a part in the libel action brought by Lord Aldington against Tolstoy, resulting in the largest libel damages ever awarded in a British court (£1.6 million, although this was never paid). When, in 1990, the Cowgill team published, it revealed that the part played by Macmillan had been quite irrelevant to the fate of the Cossacks. The handovers had been fully authorised from General Alexander down, in full accord with established Allied policy. Indeed, several of the “massacres” described by Tolstoy had never in fact taken place and the majority of Cossacks were released from gulags after a year. Cowgill’s report, The Repatriations from Austria in 1945, was praised by leading historians as a model of its kind.

In 1992 Cowgill was again shocked to learn that Parliament was being asked to approve the Maastricht treaty before MPs had been given the chance properly to read it. All they were given was a series of amendments to the existing treaties, which read out of context were no more than gobbledegook (a Foreign Office minister said it would be “improper” to publish a complete version of the treaty before it was ratified). With the aid of his son Andrew, Cowgill worked round the clock to produce a “consolidated” version, putting all the amendments in context. Sir Keith Joseph, a former Tory Cabinet minister, then arranged for copies to be circulated to every MP before the Maastricht Bill came up for second reading.

The BMDF’s edition of the treaty proved so uniquely valuable that it was given semi-official status, much in demand by policy-makers and many others, not only in Britain, but also in Europe and America (one admirer was Henry Kissinger). Cowgill and his son went on to produce similarly authoritative editions of all the subsequent EU treaties, right up to their latest, The Lisbon Treaty In Perspective.

Tony Cowgill was a shrewd observer of the world, believing that public policy must be “data driven”, and rest on properly researched evidence. It was this which led him to increasing scepticism on many issues, from the value of our membership of the EU to global warming. In 1948 he married Anne, whom he had met in India where she was serving as a WRNS officer. She died in 2005, and he is survived by their son and daughter.

Brigadier Anthony Cowgill, who died on October 29 aged 93, had a varied career as a soldier; as chief industrial engineer for Rolls-Royce; and providing high-level liaison between many of Britain’s leading companies and government policy-makers. But his two most notable contributions – illuminating one of the most controversial episodes of the Second World War and explaining the “gobbledegook” of EU treaties – were made at an age when most people have retired.

The first of these achievements centred on the British Army’s handover, in Austria in 1945, of 47,000 Cossacks to the Soviet Union. This later led to widely publicised allegations that Harold Macmillan, in 1945 Britain’s political representative in the Mediterranean, and Lord Aldington, a senior officer in Austria at the time, had conspired to defy orders and higher command by handing over the Cossacks to almost certain death. Exhaustive researches by a small team headed by Cowgill showed that the charges were baseless and had arisen from a fundamental misreading of the historical evidence.

The second initiative to win him plaudits was to present the ever more complex series of European treaties in a form which made them uniquely comprehensible. His annotated editions of each treaty, from Maastricht to Lisbon, continue to prove invaluable to politicians and many others.

Anthony Cowgill was born on November 7 1915, the son of a Yorkshire mill manager. Educated at Bradford and Manchester Grammar Schools, he went on to graduate in Mining Engineering at Birmingham University. Shortly before the start of the Second World War he signed up for the regular Army, joining the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers after Sandhurst. He spent a year in Canada helping to develop the waterproofing of tanks, a secret weapon key to the success of the Normandy invasion in 1944. Landing in France shortly after D Day, he served on Montgomery’s 2nd Army headquarters’ staff until the end of the war, and was present at Luneberg Heath in May 1945 when Montgomery took the surrender of the German forces in northern Europe. 1. IN THE BEGINNING

The first leader of UKIP, when it was founded towards the end of 1993, was Dr. Alan Sked who was, and still is (as far as I know), a senior lecturer at the London School of Economics. In 1994 Farage proposed that the party endeavour to campaign for UKIP to have MEP representation in the European Parliament. Dr. Sked was adamantly opposed to this proposal, as he thought it would indicate that the United Kingdom had agreed to be subservient to the European Union. Farage’s argument was that UKIP MEPs would generate income for the party and doors, which would otherwise remain closed to our party, would be opened. Farage won the day and Dr. Sked, together with several others, including Colin Bullen (who went on to be a leading light in The Campaign for an Independent Britain), resigned from UKIP.

So, right from the start, Farage has been hugely influential in the policies adopted by UKIP. Indeed, he has been either leader or de facto leader of the party ever since.

All political movements need a figurehead and Farage fulfils that role for UKIP. His energy and passion attract many, particularly the young, and his utilisation of the power of on-line social networking, and especially the online video sharing programme, YouTube, which show his passionate exchanges in the European Parliament to the generally younger viewers.

Without doubt, the fortunes of UKIP are closely linked with the style of leadership and management abilities of Farage, so let us have a look at the history of the party’s ups and downs over the past 17 years.

Dr. Alan Sked resigned as leader of the party in July 1997 and named the then Party Chairman and Treasurer, Craig Mackinlay, as leader. Mackinlay decided that the only way to keep the party going was to rework its constitution and hold a leadership election. Mackinlay, Gerald Roberts, and Michael Holmes stood, with the backing of Farage. Michael Holmes easily won and appointed Mackinlay as his deputy.

Craig Mackinlay resigned from UKIP in 2005 and joined the Conservative Party. I do not have any information on his reasons for leaving UKIP.

Michael Holmes, having won the leadership election in 1997 was, in the same year, elected as an MEP representing the South West. In the same election Farage was elected as an MEP in the South East. As a result of a power struggle, precipitated by an unfortunate remark by Michael Holmes in the European Parliament, and his dismissal of Craig Mackinlay and Tony Scholefield from the NEC, which generated a vote of no confidence in Holmes, he stepped down as leader in 2000.

However, it should be noted that, under Michael Holmes leadership, the membership of UKIP doubled.

Jeffrey Titford was elected as the new leader of UKIP, beating Rodney Atkinson (brother of the comedian Rowan Atkinson) by 15 votes and, again, Farage had backed the winner.

Many believed that Titford should have appointed Rodney Atkinson as deputy leader or, at least, to a position of responsibility within the party. However, because Rodney Atkinson had exposed Conrad Black (who at that time owned the Telegraph group of newspapers) as a member of the Bilderberg Group, Conrad Black put UKIP under pressure not to appoint Rodney Atkinson to a position of authority within UKIP.

However a Caveat is provided in the posting by Junius – I quote:

Whoever wrote this it is clearly bunkum.

Conrad Black is clearly listed from his first visit to a Bilderberg Meeting as a member and also as a member of The trilateral Commission.

Rodney Atkinson can nopt lay claim to exposing this as it was a well documented and well known fact.

That Bill Jamieson & Christopher Booker as well respected journalists who had ardently supported both the EUroSceptic cause and UKIP Both unequivocally announced they would be unable to support UKIP if Atkinson became leader is clear – it is both fancifull and dishonest to imply this statement was made on the instruction of Black!

As I said I have published the DH compilation though there are some glaring errors – I have done so in good faith as a record of perceived facts as they are quoted.

I endorse the main thrust but clearly it carries errors.

Nothing shows the failure of UKIP more clearly than its abject failure in elections time and again!

UKIP has been offered the opportunity to be elected in around 19,500 seats after 18 years it still has less than 30 individuals elected!

This can ONLY be seen as total and abject failure considering the popularity of their only plausible message Leave-The-EU!

Now that the utterly predictable debacle of UKIP’s election results are known what must the EUrorealist movement that espouses Leave-The-EU do?

Results which in every detail lived down to my pragmatic prediction with NO significant gains, where Farage stated clearly that one seat or more was likely in the Welsh EU Council (Clearly a ridiculous expectation) – 2 targeted seats at Stormont (again no likelihood or evidence), a gain of around 24 Councillors – on what feedback was that even possible?

Canute had the wisdom to appreciate the venal stupidity of his sycophants – sadly Farage seems to believe their every word!

Spin and propaganda are how political leadership teams keep their positions with their snouts in the trough – using other peoples’ money to bribe their own praise singers.

It was ever the way with weak and inadequate leaders only the strong and the competent make their praise singers take their thrones to the low tide line to prove their sycophants wrong.

Sadly, though UKIP is our only visible lifeboat, whatever the position UKIP is unfit for purpose ONE performing monkey does not constitute leadership.

Farage can and usually is an excellent performer and without doubt UKIP’s second greatest asset after its Leave-The-EU policies.

So UKIP has both the performing monkey and the right tune to attract the crowds on the Organ but what is conspicuously absent is a competent and experienced Organ Grinder.

Sadly until an Organ Grinder materialises the Organ lies in the ditch neglected, the tune has been diluted and is coming out as discordant blurts and squirts (Denny, Duffy, Fuller, Towler, Croucher, McGough, Gulleford, Bannerman, Reeve, Ransom, Clark, Andreasen & the other parasites on the make and the take!) and the monkey is driving away all competent performers to stay in control of the peanuts!

UKIP sadly is thus unfit for purpose until or unless it can find a strong leader who can CONTROL the idiocy.

Without leadership UKIP is just a hinderance to the Leave-The-EU EUroSceptics and EUroRealists – 80% in polls of the British peoples show they want to Leave-The-EU or at very least remove the Political interferrence and endless theft of British money to fund corruption and incompetence in continental EUrope.

Let us consider how UKIP can be turned around after removal of the rotten head of this particularly dangerous dead fish now landed on our only visible lifeboat.

May I suggest the way to move forward:

01. Hard work, recognition, reward and clear badging of achievements – The salaried can not be seen to be achieving worthy of praise THEY ARE PAID – that is their job and if they fail to do it fire them or move them to their competence level.

02. Build Trust based on openness transparency and clear organisational structure (Rob McWhirtter’s much demanded ‘Organogram’) with participation FROM the grass routes and input from the base line.

03. A Vision which is simple and can clearly be imparted.

04. Training of a growing core of people. Structured and continuous.

05. Clear simple understandable strategy for every level.

06. Clarity of a single core message.

07. Structured tactics at every level.

08. Encouragement and promotion of activists to try to surpass you.

09. Removal of ALL indispensable individuals – every task must be no more than a task NOT a Personal cult or empire building excercise.

10. FAB – Sell The Features, Advantages & Benefits of THE product.

IF you really want to take this seriously you could do worse than Read ‘Mein Kampf’ – a document which together with ‘Das Capital’, I believe, sources back to The Cathars.

Of course they are tedious, tendentious and dated but the core principles are well worth studying.

To understand The EU and best prepare to dismantle it I would strongly suggest the best book to read is ‘The European Parliament‘ by Richard Corbett, Frances Jacobs and Michael Shackleton – technocratic unimaginitive purists, and proponents of the EU (their gravy train and income source!) they provide every detail of its aims, its structures and where it is going wrong and thus how it can be dismantled! (Know thine enemy)

Richard North & Christopher Booker’s ‘The Great Deception‘ is indubitably the best book to understand the background and project the hidden present and future ambitions. (Know thine enemy)

Which has led to his preserving many an interesting conspiracy theory he has been fed or invented to justify his failure or that of others!

Hi,

in trying to seek out more background on the fantasies and naiivity of Norman Tebbit in his efforts to smear UKIP some years ago I tripped over this item of fantasy on UKIP Uncovered.

It is almost as amusingly inaccurate as the foolish fabrications of poor old Christina Speight and the vitriolic and equally inconsequential Odly Ratkinson and his mistress from Chepstow.

I have a wonderfull sensor for the integrity and morality of blogs and general reportage of many of UKIP’s enemises at grass roots who seek to abuse the aims of the core membership for their own gain – It is quite simply to read their comments about me!

Few seem to overlook the opportunity of stating in about every second posting they make how staggeringly ill informed I am and how irrelevant – yet to date NOT ONE has ever in their ignorant abuse managed to find a single solitary inaccuracy of any consequence that I have EVER posted anywhere on any subject.

Further a measure of the integrity of their comments for me is to measure their comments about me against the absolute facts which I can and have produced – The conspiracy theories they have conducted about me are at times of a level that John Le Carre would be proud of – but to date they are almost without exception utter rubbish.

To show hoe completely irrelevant I clearly am The Fartin Mole on UKIP Uncovered concocted the following item – do note I do not deny that I mailed the ‘e’Mail he claims to Nigel Farage’s publicly available and quoted OPEN EU Office ‘e’Mail – To embellish his fabrication the Fartin Mole distorted/Spins his whole point by failing to point out that it was one of about 100 ‘e’Mail addresses I maile with the comment – No Secret There Then!

Just a lie on UKIP Uncovered – not so much a lie I guess but a deliberate effort made by failure to tell the truth that led to his latest idiotic conspiracy theory.

This clearly ties in with the bleatings of failure as a politician and defeat of his chances of getting to the troughs on the gravy train of Rodney Atkins in his letter of CLICK HERE

If only these many assorted fools and conspiracy theorists would bother to check facts but why would the likes of Fartin Mole, Independent UKIP, Christina Speight, skeptyk and many more let the truth get in the way of inventing a good conspiracy!

The GLW E-Mail that made UKIP ‘What It Is’

The Greg Lance-Watkin’s e-mail that Blew Apart the last UKIP Leadership Election and delivered the party into the hands of the Cabal that controls it to this day is quoted in full below.

First a boast from Greg Lance-Watkins to Eurocritical on 15th March 2000 as to what he had achieved:-

UKIP Leadership Election

As two Sunday Telegraph columnists who have been among UKIP’s most active allies in the media, and who have to a certain extent staked our journalistic credibility on our support for the Party, may we express our particularly deeply felt concerns over the present leadership elections?

It is clearly vital, from everyone’s point of view, that UKIP should choose a leader who can command the widest possible support both inside and outside the Party; and in this context it is our strongly held view that this must mean choosing a NEW leader. The past year has seen far too many embarrassments and missed opportunities for there to be anything other than a
complete break with the past.

But, in terms of our public support for UKIP, we regret it is equally vital that the Party should choose someone whose analysis of the nature and failings of the European Union is based on a serious, up-to-date understanding of how and why the EU is developing in the way it is; and not some wider conspiracy theory which, however compelling to a minority of members, cannot be shared by the vast majority. We believe at least one of the candidates for the leadership falls into this latter category, Mr. Rodney Atkinson. It is our personal concern that any leader holding such views might take the Party in directions where it would be impossible for us to follow, as we would sadly have to make clear.

We very much hope the members of UKIP will choose a leader who can take the Party forward on the broadest possible front, and in a way to which we can both continue to give our enthusiastic support.

UKIP: The Leadership Election

Young Independence members wait with bated breath to see who will lead UKIP on November 5th

Interesting article from one of our contacts:

Rarely is all what it seems in the realm of Ukip power politics, and Bannerman‘s candidacy, along with the bogus spats between Bannerman and Farage during the hustings, is a case in point.

As with the last time Farage was placed as leader when David Noakes and Richard Suchorzewski stood against him the placeman, liar and poodle David Bannerman entered the farce to split the opposition vote yet further, to ensure Farage was placed as leader as was planned. Even then there was a fear that Richard Suchorzewski would beat him as in terms of economics, education, management and leadership skills he was so clearly the front runner and UKIP’s dishonest supporters and those seeking self enrichment who were willing to lie on his behalf such as:
John Moran
David Lott
Jim Carver
Mark Croucher
Annabelle Fuller
Toby Mickelthwait
Douglas Denny
& others
published many lies to subvert the integrity of the so called election.

Put it this way, Farage is well known to be the ‘establishment’s’ poodle. So would the ‘establishment’ leave too much to chance by allowing a totally free and fair election, with the chance that Nigel would be defeated, of course not!

Let me remind you of an earlier election contest, in 1999 (or was it 2000?), when Rodney Atkinson entered the race to become Ukip leader. Mysteriously, the Ukip membership lists were purloined and members found themselves the recipients of poison pen letters from journalists Bill Jamieson and Chris Booker, warning that Atkinson’s concerns over Bilderberg would discredit the party and the cause (As many will appreciate, Farage has always steered well clear of any question relating to Bilderberg.). No one knows for sure who stole those membership lists but many have pointed their fingers at Farage and raised questions over his role in the incident.

Interestingly this is completely inaccurate as I was supplied with two electronic copies of the entire mailing list – but as is well known UKIP has NEVER had much regard for Data Protection or for responsible handling of private information or confidentiality.

I was also supplied, delivered to my business premises, a copy of an ‘e’Mail I had published on the internet – this had been printed and there were envelopes sufficient for every UKIP member and also the membership labels and the stamps required. Since the letter was my personal opinion of the runners and riders in the election for leadership of UKIP and reitteration of the undertakings of Michael Holmes that he WOULD NOT stand for leadership – and a summary of MY opinions of the contestants.

It has always amused me over the years that in the pretence of being a largely Libertarian party UKIP has itself rigged every single election it has EVER taken part in yet it has constantly made a fool of itself by having tantrums and spreading lies because I chose to excercise my right of freedom of speech to broadcast my personal opinion of those who were standing for election.

That Rodney atkinson was standing and it was my personal opinion that he was a very poor judge of people, had NEVER been a leader of anything, was running his own quasi party which he refused to renounce yet wished to lead UKIP, that he was near obsessed with Nazi grounds for the EU when it was VERY clear that the last world war and Nazi Party would act as a deterent to those of sense from leading UKIP.

It was clear that without intervention this strange obsessive who had all but destroyed Sovereign Britain with his demands for fees, editorial powers and refusal that they could recoup their costs for the large Taunton meeting they funded and needed to sell The CDs to recoup their outlay – Rodney Attkinson was self serving. Further his involvement with Mrs. Riley waspotentially dangerous as shown subsequently with the dishonesty that surrounded the South Moulton Undertaking which was suggested and discussed in South Moulton by myself and others and then taken forward by Attkinson in determination to refute my involvement in his pathetic insecurity. This was the idea we had rejected but which he took forward as the unworkable so called BDI (Bloody Daft Idea).

As I had absolutely no reason totrust Attkinson or his supporters I could not with any morality advocate he became UKIP leader. As a result of my intervention the leadership was placed in the hands of Jeffrey Titford – who was clearly as much use as a soup sandwich as a leader with the inspiration of an earth worm but I saw his function and stated it as being a calm (uninspired) pair of hands to ‘heal’ UKIP after the turbulent period under Michael Holmes.

I also had delivered to me a printed letter mailed as a letter from Christopher Booker and Bill Jamieson, very strong supporters of the principles of UKIP members. The letter came with sufficient copies, envelopes, stamps and labels printed. I confirmed with both Christopher Booker and also Bill Jamieson that they were happy that a copy of their letter to reach every UKIP member – they were, so we mailed them from my business.

I believe that I acted correctly and with integrity in my distribution of the 2 letters and I am relieved that Jeffrey Titford became leader, useless as he was he fulfilled his purpose.

I have NEVER considered Nigel Farage had the ability to lead the party, nor the integrity or probity, intellect or vision to lead the party – I believe circumstances and the passage of time have proved me to be absolutely correct.

Similarly, during the EGM around the same time, a then junior member of theNEC reported that the meeting was packed with a contingent of 150 ‘members’ that no one knew and whose sole purpose seemed to be to support Farage’s take on things.

The present election contest has a similar strange smell about it. Indeed many are now of the view that the entire thing stinks. Indeed, a simple examination of the record of the two contenders, Farage & Bannerman, should of itself be cause for concern that this election is all above board!

I regret I can only totally agree.

Consider:

On the one hand, there exists a candidate for real change in the form of Tim Congdon. His ‘running mate’ is Gerard Batten, who is reported to have been told by Farage before the Euro elections that if he placed one step out ofline, he would be de-selected. No wonder Batten watches his ‘Ps’ and his ‘Qs’.

On the other hand, there stands David Bannerman. Bannerman, of course, is from the same Conservative stable as Lord Pearson and, for that matter, Farage. Bannerman was Chairman of the Tory Bow Group, and a senior ‘bag carrier’ for then Northern Island Secretary, Patrick Mayhew.

Bannerman, while he may not be as fundamentally dishonest as Farage, was caught out soon after the start of his Ukip political career. Dr David Abbott discovered, inter alia, that Bannerman’s claimed link with the Prime Minister, Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, was deceitful.

Bannerman’s Ukip career, as well as his status as an MEP, may be attributed almost entirely to the backing provided by his mentor, Nigel Farage. Farage plucked him out for rapid promotion. Bannerman was a close confidant of Farage during many years of wheeler-dealering. Bannerman also owes his position as an MEP to Farage. The elections in Bannerman’s Eastern Region were, IMHO, rigged. The scandal peaked with the disgraceful undermining of John West’s campaign and the shocking treatment of Robin Page, whose bid to become an MEP was sabotaged.

As Junius states: “There is not a single UKIP election that has been run properly. Every single election has been dogged by allegations of corruption and vote rigging.” The intelligent observer of Ukip power politics should ask why it is that Farage, who cannot abide political competition, should consistently and persistently promote Bannerman? Farage, it will be remembered, has managed to sideline all the real talent in Ukip and, in particular, anyone with personality, skill, ability and some degree of speaking talent. Most within these categories, have left the party. Strange that Bannerman should stay the course???

Could it be, the intelligent observer might ask, that Bannerman is contending because he is a useful steam-vent? Farage knows he is disliked and distrusted by many within the party, especially by the activists and officials. He also knows that many see through him and view his wheeler-dealer activities with contempt.

Farage – and his backers – cannot afford a ‘loose cannon’ in control of Ukip, because their influence will diminish. What better tactic, therefore, than to arrange a useful safety-valve? Step forward, Bannerman!

One is ably reminded of Unilever’s strategy of old. Their policy was to controlthe two largest brands – on the face of it competing with the other for sales but, in reality, both under the same parent.

If Bannerman is a real threat to Farage and if he really will lead Ukip in a fresh direction, why is he not supported by Mike Nattrass, who has left the Parliamentary EDF group?

Mike Nattrass is supporting Congdon. Batten stood down from the contest to become Congdon’s running mate. Why, instead, did principled opposition not solidify around Bannerman? Indeed, why is Bannerman not supporting Congdon, if he wants real change?

Clearly, Batten and Nattrass do not support Bannerman because there would be no real change were Bannerman to win.

There is also the somewhat surprising change of allegiance by Congdon’s earlier supporters, Chris Browne and Toby Miklethwait (from UKIP’s Runnymede, Weybridge and Spelthorne branch (South East region), who are are now urging members of their branch to ‘vote for DCB’.

Chairman Chris Browne and Treasurer Toby Micklethwait (editor of the UKIP Bulletin and Ukip Informer) say “DCB’s experience with the policy groups indicates managerial skills”. Well, maybe, but Bannerman has been running these policy groups for sometime, not merely since the leadership contest was announced. And let’s not forget that Tim Congdon’s business skills are provably far more extensive that David Bannerman’s!

A less charitable explanation in the world of Ukip power politics may be the possibility that they wanted to sabotage Congdon’s campaign. After all both Micklethwait and Browne have, both, been strong Farage supporters in the past, it’s not inconceivable that Farage has called in a few favours here! Think about it!

Then what about the friction between Bannerman and Farage at the recent conference and the controversy over that Question Time appearance?

There is a simple explanation. If Bannerman was to become a serious challenger for the Ukip leadership, then clearly he would have to place some distance between himself and Farage. The reality is akin to the Unilever strategy: both peas are from the same pod but the competition is only skin-deep.

As for that Question Time appearance, the Farage camp gave the game away. They revealed that Question Time was about the huge new wind farm at Thanet, which UKIP has opposed. Nigel, they say, would have been the token anti-windmill panel member and was chosen ahead of a Green Party spokesman. “Now UKIP will be denied the publicity that Question Time always brings and the programme will probably go ahead without someone credible speaking out against the global warming scam. So much for party loyalty.”

As was remarked on the Junius Blog: “Give us a break! The panellists are not supposed to know the questions in advance. And why would ANYONE in Cheltenham be interested in a wind farm in far away Kent? Sycophants for Farage will really have to do better than that!”

As for the claim that Question Time’s production team did not know there was a leadership contest ongoing in Ukip, this is simply unbelievable. How is it possible that a BBC team of the nation’s most informed political researchers, who determine the questions for the BBC flagship current affairs’ programm, were unaware of Ukip’s leadership contest?

Frankly, with more television appearances than any other politician in QT’s history, one more or one less appearance would be neither here not there.

The reality is that the BBC has merely postponed Farage’s next appearance. It seems more likely that the BBC was playing the same game, given their historical connections with Farage. Less there should be any question over Bannerman’s anti-Farage credentials, the Bannerman campaign has been given an extra degree of credibility by the BBC – which has neatly enabled Farage to issue his statement about Bannerman’s ego.

As Wedgwood-Benn so aptly commented, observers should ask what is the cause and what is the effect?

The cause is the contest. The effect is two-fold: detract from the Congdon campaign by placing Bannerman as the most realistic anti-Farage candidate. Create some theatre and contrive some friction. Attack the candidate(Bannerman) over his ego to detract from accusations over the favourite’s own ego. Use the party websites to propagate the message. Result: game, set and match to the wheeler-dealer spiv – Farage.

Wake up people, the European project is too important for its UK chapter – Farage’s EUKIP -to be threatened by a loose cannon – Congdon. That is why the BBC is backing Farage. That is why Bannerman is standing. Bannerman, who is not the brightest button on the bench, probably does not see the bigger picture. But then useful fools rarely do!

As there are so many instances of electoral manipulation in past Ukip elections, why should this election be run any differently. Put it this way, with, Farage luvvy, Ms Duffy, in charge of the election, would, you, put money on this election being any more honest and above board than previous occasions? No, neither would I!!!!!

Brigadier Anthony Cowgill, who died on October 29 aged 93, had a varied career as a soldier; as chief industrial engineer for Rolls-Royce; and providing high-level liaison between many of Britain’s leading companies and government policy-makers. But his two most notable contributions – illuminating one of the most controversial episodes of the Second World War and explaining the “gobbledegook” of EU treaties – were made at an age when most people have retired.

The first of these achievements centred on the British Army’s handover, in Austria in 1945, of 47,000 Cossacks to the Soviet Union. This later led to widely publicised allegations that Harold Macmillan, in 1945 Britain’s political representative in the Mediterranean, and Lord Aldington, a senior officer in Austria at the time, had conspired to defy orders and higher command by handing over the Cossacks to almost certain death. Exhaustive researches by a small team headed by Cowgill showed that the charges were baseless and had arisen from a fundamental misreading of the historical evidence.

The second initiative to win him plaudits was to present the ever more complex series of European treaties in a form which made them uniquely comprehensible. His annotated editions of each treaty, from Maastricht to Lisbon, continue to prove invaluable to politicians and many others.

Anthony Cowgill was born on November 7 1915, the son of a Yorkshire mill manager. Educated at Bradford and Manchester Grammar Schools, he went on to graduate in Mining Engineering at Birmingham University. Shortly before the start of the Second World War he signed up for the regular Army, joining the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers after Sandhurst. He spent a year in Canada helping to develop the waterproofing of tanks, a secret weapon key to the success of the Normandy invasion in 1944. Landing in France shortly after D Day, he served on Montgomery’s 2nd Army headquarters’ staff until the end of the war, and was present at Luneberg Heath in May 1945 when Montgomery took the surrender of the German forces in northern Europe. Shortly afterwards Cowgill was awarded a military MBE.

He was then, as India prepared for Independence in 1947, seconded to the Partition Commission, organising the separation of the country’s armed forces between India and Pakistan, after which he was assigned to the new Pakistani army. This led to what he described as the most worrying moment of his life. Returning to his Lahore headquarters one day he found himself, in British Army uniform, the only white man on a train overrun by thousands of armed Pathan tribesmen bent on seizing Kashmir. Sure his last hour had come, he was highly relieved when, addressing him as “sahib”, they treated him instead with friendly respect.

After serving in the Korean War, Cowgill eventually retired from the Army as a brigadier in 1969 to become Chief Industrial Engineer to Rolls-Royce. He was closely involved in the final stages of the development of the revolutionary RB-211 jet engine, the costs of which led to the firm’s bankruptcy and its nationalisation by the Heath Government in 1971, although the RB-211 was ultimately a huge commercial success. In 1979 Cowgill set up the highly-respected British Management Data Foundation (BMDF), run from his home in the Cotswolds, to provide expert briefing to many of the leading companies in British industry and to assist them in high-level liaison with government on matters of common concern.

In 1986, then aged 71, he was shocked to read The Minister and the Massacres, a book by Count Nikolai Tolstoy accusing Harold Macmillan of having conspired with senior Army officers in 1945 to commit a “war crime” by handing over large numbers of surrendered Cossack and Yugoslavs to face death at the hands of their Communist enemies, in flagrant breach of military orders. Since this was the gravest charge ever levelled at a British prime minister or at the British Army, he invited Lord Brimelow, a former permanent head of the Foreign Office, and the journalist Christopher Booker, both of whom had studied this unhappy episode, to join him in a full investigation of the facts.

Initially all three had found Tolstoy’s account persuasive, but were aware that there were significant gaps in the evidence. By a remarkable feat of detective work over four years, Cowgill managed to track down all the missing signals and orders necessary to a proper understanding of what had happened. In particular, thanks to inspired guesswork, he discovered in a Washington archive 127 unopened boxes containing many key documents previously thought lost. What gradually emerged was a picture of the events totally at odds with the version given by Tolstoy.

In 1989 many of these documents played a part in the libel action brought by Lord Aldington against Tolstoy, resulting in the largest libel damages ever awarded in a British court (£1.6 million, although this was never paid). When, in 1990, the Cowgill team published, it revealed that the part played by Macmillan had been quite irrelevant to the fate of the Cossacks. The handovers had been fully authorised from General Alexander down, in full accord with established Allied policy. Indeed, several of the “massacres” described by Tolstoy had never in fact taken place and the majority of Cossacks were released from gulags after a year. Cowgill’s report, The Repatriations from Austria in 1945, was praised by leading historians as a model of its kind.

In 1992 Cowgill was again shocked to learn that Parliament was being asked to approve the Maastricht treaty before MPs had been given the chance properly to read it. All they were given was a series of amendments to the existing treaties, which read out of context were no more than gobbledegook (a Foreign Office minister said it would be “improper” to publish a complete version of the treaty before it was ratified). With the aid of his son Andrew, Cowgill worked round the clock to produce a “consolidated” version, putting all the amendments in context. Sir Keith Joseph, a former Tory Cabinet minister, then arranged for copies to be circulated to every MP before the Maastricht Bill came up for second reading.

The BMDF’s edition of the treaty proved so uniquely valuable that it was given semi-official status, much in demand by policy-makers and many others, not only in Britain, but also in Europe and America (one admirer was Henry Kissinger). Cowgill and his son went on to produce similarly authoritative editions of all the subsequent EU treaties, right up to their latest, The Lisbon Treaty In Perspective.

Tony Cowgill was a shrewd observer of the world, believing that public policy must be “data driven”, and rest on properly researched evidence. It was this which led him to increasing scepticism on many issues, from the value of our membership of the EU to global warming. In 1948 he married Anne, whom he had met in India where she was serving as a WRNS officer. She died in 2005, and he is survived by their son and daughter.

This elderly chap requires no more public canteen medals for his belittlement and exploitation.

The publicity handout picture above would seem to be most kind but I gather he still has a predilection for ties with spots on and even at times lapels similarly adorned but allowance must be made for his age as he approaches 78 in a months time – we appreciate he made it clear he had dreaded retirement and sitting at home with his wife.

It is clearly understood that after his corruption of the selection process to try to rig a position on the MEP list to replace him. Titford’s placeman the oleagenous and untrustworthy circus performer Stuart Gulleford who has so constantly tried to ride two horses at the same time betraying both masters.

Many will remember the witnessed claims of Gulleford and Titford colluding in flagrant abuse of the data protection act to download and read the eMails of trusted and elected Officers of UKIP for their personal gain in much the same dishonest way that Mark Croucher has used the data base as a member of staff to try to defame and lie about people.

You will be aware that it was from Jeffrey Titford’s office that Tony Bennett did such harm to the party reputation and setting out to sabotage the party with the creation of Veritas. Then next to be elevated from Titford’s office was the criminal Tom Wise who is widely believed to have rigged the election process with the aid of Jeffrey to become an MEP displacing Robin Page under most dubious circumstances.

The appointment of Titford as a bidable and malleable interim leader is hardly surprising he has held the role of puppet leader many times in the past as many will recall. Though clearly a crass appointment now, even if he will do what he is told.

Do not forget that if Jeffrey Titford has a shred of integrity his first job will be to set aside the clearly corrupt NEC election results as invalid – It is my contention that poor old geriatric may well remind many of the first stanza of Coleridge’s famous poem ‘Eskimo Nell’ and prove too gonadically challenged to carry out his duty.

Jeffrey’s first stab at the job was after I had circulated a letter from Bill jamieson and Christopher Booker with a covering letter to state that if Rodney Atkinson became leader of UKIP they and thus their paper, would withdraw any support from UKIP as he was not considered a plausible leader for the party.

This letter was mailed to every member on one of several data bases I was supplied with anonymously.

Shortly after a delivery van arrived at my door and delivered some 7 or 8,000 letters, address labels and envelopes – the letter was a direct copy of an eMail I had sent out with my opinion on the candidates.

It was my contention in this correspondence that after the tempestuous period of Michael Holmes’ leadership he was clearly unfit to lead and had withdrawn himself promising not to contest the leadership. I promoted Jeffrey as a calm if uninspiring pair of hands for the party to regroup behind. Jeffrey was elected by the barest of margins which I believe was the grounding of the specious story put about thet I was a spy working for MI6 – clearly a lie but conjoined with a comment from Norman Tebbit that of course the intelligence services had agents in every party. Some of the idiots in UKIP not being the brightest put two and two together and came up with their customary 5! Some are so stupid they repeat this story to this day!

The most likely winner at that election would have been catastrophic for UKIP based on track record and judgement etc.

With hind sight one must wonder if Titford was much better, though better he would seem to have been despite his duplicity, his weakness and his toadying to Farage.

And of course his dishonesty which could not have been predicted unlike Tom Wise‘s!

Much as Farage may find Titford suitable to manage his feifdom until he retakes the mantle or anoints his next puppet leader – beyond any doubt the manner in which this has been conducted with a corrupt and corrupted NEC selection and a meeting of this invalid and risible claque to appoint the ‘chosen one’.
