Hi,
at around 02:25hrs. with probabilities having been announced that UKIP might just scrape in with a position as one of the superannuated councillors in The EU Regional Assembly in Wales.
Farage has stated on Radio 4 that to obtain ONE of the 60 available seats would with 2 seats in Northern Ireland and around 24 seats on other Councils where there are over 9,000 seats available would be a success.
Well after 18 years!
We all have our own standards and ambitions mine was that UKIP would be our lifeboat to lead Britain out of The EU. Lets face it with even Farages two dozen councillors elected 3 assembly members and his 10 MEPs – this would be a record, they would have more than The BNP have lost in the last year!
That would be between 30 and 40 elected seats held out of the total of 19,500 Nationwide. In real terms someone might get away with saying ‘Just one more push’ might have had some credibility with 3-4,000 – though we all remember David Steel’s political suicide with the risible ‘Go back to your homes and prepare for Government’.
UKIP’s results with poll after poll showing 80% of our laws are made in The EU (most of the others are irrelevant adjustments and ALL must comply with The EU) and time and again polls show that a majority of people actually agree with UKIP’s core aims of Leave-The-EU which has been so diluted by their squabbling and diluting the message with fatuous posturings beyond their remit that the results over 18 years can ONLY be seen as abject failure.
At present rate of achievement UKIP will take more than 100 more years to achieve ANYTHING that could be called success.
The tragedy is that UKIP is clearly unfit for purpose under its present self serving leadership and the corrupt and odious claque of parasites feeding at UKIP’s expense.
I wonder if any of UKIP’s leadership claque of sycophants have read Oliver Cromwell’s speech to the Long Parliament in The House of Commons in April 1653, those with integrity my have a pang of conscience at their betrayal of the people, or will their hubris, arrogance and greed overcome such behaviour.
I note that John Bufton’s blog on UKIP.org was last updated in March – Godfrey Bloom’s has no updates since December 2010 – Marta Andreasen’s seems to make no comment on UKIP’s domestic elections – Just what are these useless articles for? Did no one tell them there was an election in progress or did they make no money from such menial tasks as taking a visible role canvassing and campaigning.
Even Deadbeat Derek Clark managed to get someone to write a letter for him that was published and although he and his staff have all but destroyed UKIP East Midlands and reduced Leicester to a farce ending up with the hapless and discreditted Duffy taking over control.
Agnew’s only visibility was giving advice on democracy and advocating a YES vote for UKIP or the NFU we know not but speaking as an EFD Representative who the hell cares? It was a bit rich to see this proven thief who was shown also to have corrupted electoral law by money laundering, lecturing anyone but his defence lawyer on prostituting principles to obtain money!
Yes to be fair Farage has on many occasions proved to be a good performer but he has clearly been a risible cringeworthy disaster as a leader – how can anyone but either a liar, a fraud or a mental retard pretend that after 18 years 30 or so elected representatives out of the 19,500 is anything other than a catastrophic disaster.
Unless of course you happen to be one of the handfull who are on the gravy train on a self interest programme
