Nigel Farage So Clearly Exposed As Un-Trustworthy & Inept, as the media are more frequently exposing and as denounced by one of his more, until recently, loyal partners in crime, Douglas Denny

Hi,
it must be particularly gaulling for Nigel Farage that this cartoon, showing that the media has seen through his paper thin self publicity and have clearly got the message of his being no ‘Superman’ in a cape but just a silly little man in a seedy spivs shabby chique coat, made fashionable as a spin off of the ‘Teddy Boy’ era when Saville Row’s aim to issue an Edwardian style of long jackets and were gazzumped by their own cutters and workshops in the East End slums of London.

Nigel Farage is shown in the cartoon as more akin to the insecure tantrums of Kim Jong-Un(hinged), and all in public circulation the day before Ukip’s anniversary, having been founded 22 years ago on 03-Sep-1993.

Even his staggeringly dishonest and corrupt erstwhile fixer Douglas Denny has once again denounced him – such a pity Douglas Denny lacks the integrity and backbone to expose the truth in full; of the corruption, fraud, bullying, rigging and profligacy Nigel Farage has been so closely involved in, using useful idiots like Denny, John Moran, John Whittaker, David Bannerman, Mark Croucher, John Ison, David Lott, Annabelle Fuller, Mick McGough, Christopher Gill, Gerard Batten and the like as his mouthpieces and fixers.
(Farage must be aware that some of his worms have turned!)
I guess it is hardly surprising that a little man like Denny lacks the backbone and ethics to tell the truth as he was so involved in the corruption and huge sums of money that seem to have unaccountably spiritted away (trousered?) by Nigel Farage and his direct cronies, that he may fear for his own liberty!
It is quite surprising that in 22 years Ukip have achieved so staggeringly little, relative to the colossal amount of money they have had, for Britain other than the enrichment and patform Nigel Farage has achieved for himself and the enrichment of the unsavoury clique he has gathered around him to prop up his ineptitude as a politician, bereft of clear and sound, ethical and workable policies – dependent on populism  – he is to Britain as Alex salmon and Nicolla Sturgeon are, just as Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Jack Straw and thwe present leadership contenders are to the Labour Party – catastrophicly divisive.
Even the media are finally plucking up the courage to point out that despite Ukip garnering just under 4M votes dotted around the country Nigel Farage is very much a ‘marmite’ character liked by a vociferous minority yet reveiled and held in contempt by the vaste majority – so much so that the General Election was, like all other domestic elections, an abject failure for Ukip and for Nigel Farage even more so having had his 8th. failure to get elected as an MP. His unpopularity is so dangerous and divisive for these United Kingdoms many now realise his involvement in the upcoming EU Referendum may well be the most damaging input to the Campaign to Leave_The_EU, causing many who would vote for the proposition to reconsider their stance and either abstain or vote against!
Here is the cartoon from yesterdays Telegraph:

Subject: Telegraph Wed2nd Sept Cartoon

Political Distribution List.

Dear Friends and Ex-colleagues,

I note in the Adams cartoon in The Daily Telegraph (Wed 2nd Sept), it is clear the news media have Nigel “sussed” exactly.

It was always the danger of having a dictatorial leader that he would lead in a manner to enhance his own image rather than join in with the larger and far better organised ‘NO’ campaign for the greater good of the EU -OUT cause.

By being so self-centred, by having no response or answers to the referendum in terms of party policy, by denying and ignoring the obvious fundamental changes which have now occurred in British politics with the announcement of the referendum, …this has adversely affected the very rationale of UKIP’s existence and what it stands for as per the UKIP constitution. It is clear Nigel Farage has not thought it out.
UKIP’s very future as a political party is thrown into doubt: for what can UKIP do in British politics after the referendum? What then is the point of UKIP?
I believe UKIP events have left UKIP behind, and as a party it has therefore now become defunct…obsolete.

Nigel has never addressed the main issue which has always been the Achilles Heel of UKIP – what to do in the event that a government actually does give the British people a referendum for being IN or OUT of the EU. Such a referendum is precisely what I and most others in UKIP have been campaigning for in the last sixteen years or more that I have been inside UKIP, and longer outside of UKIP before that.

The Conservatives having now conceded that crucial referendum have, in doing so, cut the legs from under Nigel and his non-policies, thereby crippling UKIP.

UKIP did have a minor role to play in the lead up to the referendum – but only if the Leader Nigle Farage had accepted UKIP being a part of the ‘NO’ campaign – which will gain momentum in due course. He has foolishly rejected that for the sake of his own vanity, hence the NO campaign will leave Nigel and UKIP behind in it’s dust-wake as it forges ahead with good funding and high-powered people to speak on the ‘NO’ campaign’s behalf.
Nigel has cut himself and UKIP off from this vital role…. a very stupid decision in my opinion.

Douglas Denny. Bosham.

Asylum: the wages of ignorance

Saturday 22 August 2015

000a Telegraph-022 migrants.jpg

Any respect we ever had for The Daily Telegraph long drained away, to be replaced by a slow-burning contempt for the editors and proprietors who let a once-proud title degenerate in the way it has.

A milestone in its descent to the bottom, however, must be its latest editorial on the asylum crisis, with the accompanying authored piece by Nigel Farage which jointly and severally demonstrate the profound ignorance of the newspaper team and the Ukip leader on this issue.

Addressing first the Telegraph piece, we have the editorial note that Germany is now expected to receive 800,000 asylum seekers in 2015, describing this as part of “Europe’s migrant crisis” which, it says, “has reached astonishing proportions”.

Although not technically wrong, it is not helpful to call this a migrant crisis. We are dealing here with asylum seekers, many of whom after processing will be declared refugees. Some others will be afforded leave to remain on human rights grounds, while the others will be considered economic migrants. Some of those will be deported. Others will disappear into the population and become illegal immigrants.

Effectively, therefore, there is a refugee crisis. And within that is an exacerbating factor of economic migrants piggy-backing on the refugee flow, making two separate but linked problems. But neither of them are migrant crises as such. To define them in this way is completely to misrepresent the problems – and therefore obscure the solutions.

This, though, is the least of it, as far as the Telegraph goes, for it then goes on to assert that the arrival of these people is precipitating in Germany a greater awareness “of the desperate flaws in the way that the EU handles its utopian promise of the free movement of people”.

Such an assertion is bizarre – bizarrely wrong. The flow of asylum seekers to Germany has nothing whatsoever to do with the EU’s treaty provision of free movement of people, which applies only to citizens of the EU Member States (and EEA states), and then within the external borders.

What we are dealing with here is something completely different – in law and fact – the effect of the 1951 Geneva Convention on Refugees, and the 1967 Protocol, together with the adoption of its provisions in the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights, which also makes asylum seeking a human right.

No sensible or knowledgeable writer could possibly consider an information piece without mentioning this. But then this is the Telegraph, whose task in life seems to be to misinform its readers and parade its own ignorance.

Free movement, it asserts, “seemed attractive and logical during the Cold War, when western Europe was more isolated from the world’s poor by the Iron Curtain”. It then tells us: “But in the 21st century, poverty and war have driven millions to seek a new life within an expanded EU”.

The irrelevance of this is obvious – “free movement” isn’t the problem. Except the Telegraph says it is. Then building on its error, it declares: “The problem has been exacerbated by two policies. One is the Dublin Convention which states that the responsibility for asylum seekers lies with the country in which they first arrive”.

As a small aside, the Dublin Convention ceased to be in 2003 – to be replaced by the Dublin Regulations. But the problem, the newspaper argues, is that in recent years those countries have been Italy, Hungary and Greece – and they have simply been overwhelmed.

But this is an over-simplification to the point of distortion. One of the first receiving countries was Spain, which has evaded its international obligations by building fences and virtual barriers, then to divert the flow elsewhere. As Greece, then Bulgaria and now Hungary follow suit, EU asylum policy has become a grotesque game of “pass the parcel”, with Italy, Malta and Greece ending up having to deal with the bulk of asylum seekers.

What then happens is that these countries are failing to fulfil their EU responsibilities. Instead of registering and processing the incomers – and deporting those who do not qualify as refugees – they are allowing them to pass on to other member states – and especially Germany and Sweden, where they are applying for asylum de novo.

The Telegraph claims that, in so doing, the receiving countries are exploiting “the second flaw in the EU’s approach: the Schengen Agreement, which commits its signatories to passport-free movement across borders”.

Italy, Hungary and Greece, we are told, have been permitting, or even quietly inviting, their asylum seekers to relocate to other countries. Enormous numbers have gone to Germany. The Germans have embraced refugees as atonement for the sins of the Second World War. But 800,000 is a figure to trouble even the most bleeding-heart liberal.

Once again, this is completely to misunderstand the nature of the problem for, even before Schengen, border controls had been removed. Were they to be reinstated, all that would happen is that – as we’ve already pointed out, those seeking recognition of their refugee status would simply apply for asylum at the border posts. Schengen is a complete red herring.

Needless to say, the Telegraph isn’t alone in getting things wrong. Politicians throughout the continent are failing to understand the effects of their own policies, but somehow one expects more from a pompous “know-it-all” newspaper which holds itself up as the authority on such matters.

Its pomposity knows now bounds, where it grandly but wrongly declares that the “EU essentially exists to regulate a free market”. Is failings, it asserts, “mock the grand claims that it makes for itself – betraying a reality of incompetence and, where it leads to humanitarian crisis, such as in the Mediterranean, moral failure”. But in this case, the ignorant speaks unto the incompetent, when the paper completely misdiagnoses the problem and ends up telling us: “The EU needs to get its borders in order”.

With the display of such ignorance, it is only fitting that it should then go on to give space to the malign bigotry of Mr Farage, who seems determined to drag us down to his level, and wreck any chances of winning the EU referendum, by declaring that “immigration” will be the defining issue of this EU referendum campaign.

There is no excuse for this quite deliberate elision of immigration and asylum – two entirely separate issues, with their own bodies of law and policy domains.

Alarmingly though. Farage is picking up on an Ipsos Mori poll which has half of the public identifying “immigration” as one of the biggest issues facing the UK. This is something which the polling company itself should not have recorded, as it too is mixing up disparate issues.

Needless to say, Farage exploits the confusion, as he has always done, associating the flood of asylum seekers and would be refugees with the European Union “open border” policy.

Despite the fact that refugees account merely for five percent of entrants to this country in any one year, we have the Ukip leader milk the publicity, building this entirely separate issue into one singularity – all under the heading of “immigration”. Thus he says:

We see the chaos in Calais, where thousands of migrants are risking their lives to get from France to Britain; we see refugees in their thousands risking life and limb as they cross the Mediterranean on ships sailing from Libya. And we see that the issue of open borders and mass immigration is no longer simply an issue of social problems and the impact on British workers, it is fast becoming one of national security.

To resolve this, the fool declares that the British people “want an Australian-style immigration policy that allocates work permits to those our economy needs, that says no to those whose skills we do not need, and that gives an emphatic denial of entry to those we have any suspicion want to do us harm” – as if that would have the slightest effect on the flow of asylum seekers.

Matching the Telegraph for its ignorance, he then writes of witnessing “the failed policy of the EU’s open borders, supported by the establishment politicians to the detriment of our nation”. When the referendum comes, Farage concludes, the British people will finally have their chance to reject these open borders by saying “no” to the European Union.

But all Farage is doing is holding us hostage to fortune. Despite his own manifest ignorance on the subject – and despite the lacklustre performance of the Telegraph, in the two years to the referendum, there is plenty of time for people to learn of the real issues behind the asylum crisis.

The danger for us is that they will turn against the likes of Farage, offering false nostrums and exploiting the misery of others for his own political ends. Elsewhere we have written of the hazards of promoting misinformation, citing Gene Sharp, who tells is: “Claims and reporting should always be strictly factual. Exaggerations and unfounded claims will undermine the credibility of the resistance”.

This is a lesson Farage is incapable of learning – and doubtless one of the reasons why he is such a failure as a politician. But there is no reason why we should let his ignorance drag us down.

Below is the Telegraph article in full – showing just how self serving and lightweight the populism of the article is and just how misleading and lacking in solution such an approach can be when personal ambition and ego get in the way of competent journalism in what was once respected as a serious newspaper!

Clearly when Britain leaves the EU rthere will be little or no change to our border controls if we hope to continue trading with EU partners and the rest of the world. We must remember that in a fragile balance we, like every other nation on this planet, enter into grown up arrangements with eachother that have little or nothing to do with the EU who merely re-write them in the jargon of the ENARCHS and pass them on to the vassal states of the EU. The laws themselves are made by world bodies like the UN, WTO, CODEX, Davos and a raft more.

It is unsurprising that people have lost sight of this and rather childishly believe when we leave the EU all our ills will be solved but what is more concerning is that supposedly responsible newspapers are willing to pander to this populist and extrermely irresponsible myth!

One reason the media may well be peddling this level of misunderstanding may well be in a venal self interest to apease advertisers or in the likes of the BBC to apease their benefactors in the EU who provide them with free studios and journalistic access with the jam on their bread and butter provided by multi Million Pound loans to featherbed their grossly over generous incomes and lack of real imvestigative journalism beyond the knickers, vicars and the odd bent political or police figure level! grants they receive.

Another great snag is the fact that the halls of academe are seeded with many 100s of so called ‘Erasmus’ professorships and student scholarships all in real terms funded from the propaganda budget of the EU. It is from amongst these EU funded organisations that much of the spin is provided, not least by quotes supplied to businessmen by their EU employers and founded on little more than the dirst aim to keep the entire, largely failed, EU project staggering forward – Let the Greeks or for that matter the Portuguese, Irish, Italians and Spaniards, or even in rare moments of honesty, the French tell you of the success of the EU economic policy and membership of the EUro which is crippling EUrope as it slithers forward on a bed of lies, bribes and bullying!

In very simple terms the EU is not even prepared to admit the fact that all are aware of Greece will NEVER be able to pay off its current debts let alone interest and essential future borrowing their GDP can not and never will sustain such debts. When you consider the levels of dishonesty that have created this misery is it any wonder that politicians working in that system will say almost anything to hang onto their grossly inflated incomes, bribes and expenses – as you will note in the Telegraph article below!

The EU will have to control its borders

Telegraph View: The arrival of 800,000 asylum seekers in Germany makes a mockery of the EU’s immigration policies. Free movement without passports will,

Free movement seemed attractive and logical during the Cold War, when western Europe was more isolated from the world’s poor by the Iron Curtain. But in the 21st century, poverty and war have driven millions to seek a new life within an expanded EU. The problem has been exacerbated by two policies. One is the Dublin Convention which states that the responsibility for asylum seekers lies with the country in which they first arrive. In recent years those countries have been Italy, Hungary and Greece – and they have simply been overwhelmed.

To alleviate this problem they have exploited the second flaw in the EU’s approach: the Schengen Agreement, which commits its signatories to passport-free movement across borders. Italy, Hungary and Greece have been permitting, or even quietly inviting, their asylum seekers to relocate to other countries. Enormous numbers have gone to Germany. The Germans have embraced refugees as atonement for the sins of the Second World War. But 800,000 is a figure to trouble even the most bleeding-heart liberal.

German politicians have called for greater integration of asylum policy across the EU, including higher refugee quotas among all members, though how that would work with open borders is a mystery. Some regional officials have called for controls between nations to be reinstated. France and Austria have tried closing their borders with Italy, sending those without the right papers back. In Calais, after weeks of chaos, a deal has been signed between the French and the British to deal with a sometimes violent crisis. Thomas de Maizière, Germany’s interior minister, has acknowledged that the very principle of free movement is suddenly up for debate. “We want free movement of people,” he said, “but… the question is what does free movement of people mean in Europe?”

A Polish lorry driver opens his vehicle to find migrants from Eritrea hiding inside at a lorry park at the port of Calais A Polish lorry driver opens his vehicle to find migrants from Eritrea hiding inside at a lorry park at the port of Calais in September Photo: Geoff Pugh/The Telegraph

The answer is probably that free movement will remain for citizens of the EU but that there will have to be a much tighter enforcement for anyone who falls outside of that definition. This belies the EU’s self-image as a liberal, internationalist project. In reality, it is protectionist and will probably have to engage in the variety of conservative policies normally associated with Australia. There does need to be an aggressive crackdown on people smuggling. Asylum applications ought to be lodged and processed in countries outside of Europe. And those seeking asylum from within the EU will have to be swiftly deported if their claim is rejected.

The EU essentially exists to regulate a free market. At Calais it has failed: the free movement of people has been stymied by the migrant crisis. In Germany, poor control of the continental border has led to a population explosion that may prove grist to the mill of extremist parties who want to destroy the EU altogether. In other words, the failings of the EU mock the grand claims that it makes for itself – betraying a reality of incompetence and, where it leads to humanitarian crisis, such as in the Mediterranean, moral failure. The EU needs to get its borders in order.

With an avg. 1.2M voters per MEP & Britain having only 8%, if united, say. The EUropean Parliament has no ability to make policy and has a Commission of unelected bureaucrats, thus clearly the EU is not even a pretence of being a democracy; yet it is willing to slaughter people in Sovereign States to impose democracy on them!
The imposition of a Government and policies upon its vassal regions such as the peoples of Greece shows just how far from being a democracy the EU is.There will be little or no change in Britain’s economic position, when we leave the EU and by then being a part of the Eropean Economic Area all will benefit, as we secure trade relations with the EU vassal regions and can trade and negotiate independently on a global stage.
One huge benefit will be that we can negotiate with bodies like the WTO, UN, WHO, IMF, CODEX and the like, directly in our own interest and that of our partners around the world in both the Commonwealth and the Anglosphere at large; rather than having negotiations and term imposed by unelected EU bureacrats.
The greatest change and benefit will be political, as we improve our democracy and self determination, with the ability to deselect and elect our own Government, which with an improved Westminster structure, see >Harrogate Agenda<.
How we go about the process of disentangling our future well being from the EU is laid out in extensive, well researched and immensly tedious detail see >FleXcit< or for a brief video summary CLICK HERE

.
Hi,

in 22 years the Ukip cult has delivered virtually nothing towards getting Britain out of the EU – it was Jimmy Goldsmith and his £29Million intervention with his political party that secured Britain’s position outside the EUro.
Nigel Farage’s total failure of leadership led Ukip to obsucurity with absolutely no effort made to oppose the imposition of the EU’s new constitution in the form of the Lisbon Treaty.
Nigel Farage and his clique firmly rejected any efforts to hold a responsible petition other than to swindle funds out of the EU and donors, which was never accounted as they gathered funding and new leads for membership and begging letters under the malign guidance of David Lott, Nigel Farage & Mark Croucher.
Nigel Farage took an active role in trying to sabotage the actual petition which gained us all the debate in Parliament which resulted in David Cameron’s promise to deliver an IN/OUT Referendum on EU membership, which was achieved by the 250,000 signatures obtained by Nikki Sinclaire’s  cross party campaign, which was delivered to Downing Street.

DOWNING St 08-09-11 01 Getty Image
Ukip had so lost the leading role in the battle to liberate these United Kingdoms from vassal status in the EU that even todate they still, after 22 years have absolutely no responsible costed ethical EU eXit and survival strategy relative to the EU – Being rude to EU officials is no substitute for hard work and has made Ukip the derided clowns of EU politics, the comic relief sector, with their childish stunts and posturing without any gravitas or achievements.

Ukip has shown it is willing top prostitute itself to the lowest common denominator to try to pick up votes, pandering to the racism and xenophobia present in between 10 and 20% of the population of any major Country the very same sector tapped into by Oswald Moseley and Adolf Hitler before him – botjh, like Nigel Farage presented as the man of the year, in their respective times!

There is little doubt that Nigel Farage in his incompetence indubitably knows how to make enemies and has never won a domestic election having stood 8 times for Parliament and like General DeGaule repeatedly threatening to resign and abandon his cult followers if they do not bend to his will and his fiddling of internal selections, elections, policy, appointments and obfuscation of Ukip accounts!

That Ukip has had the philipe of the collapse of the BNP at just the right time for Ukip to pick up their votes, even so Nigel Farage’s utter incompetence as a leader ensured they lost a seat in Westminster rather than gain them at the General Election! Ukip had so crassly misunderstood British politics that despite obtaining almost 4 million votes they only had ONE MP elected, an ex-Tory with a personal following and policies at loggerheads with Farage and his cult.

Meanwhile by reading the UK electoral methods the SNP with a fraction of the votes ensured they had almost 50 MPs elected – clearly the SNP had the more competent leadership as there is no denying the aim was to have MPs elected. a task at which Nigel Farage totally failed his Ukip cult where the SNP were brilliantly led.
It can nor be denied that Nigel Farage is very much a ‘Marmite’ personality with easily as many reviling or at least holding him in contempt as there are his fan club who support the Ukip cult.
For Nigel Farage to have any role in the referendum is the most direct single step to ensuring the YES vote will win and we will be locked in as a vassal state of the EU for another generation or until the EU experiment collapses, whichever is the sooner. Nigel Farage and his cult followers in Ukip have shown all too clearly their lack of gravitas, their lack of leadership, their lack of political common sense and their divisive competence!

If the EU Referendum comes up and Nigel Farage’s name is put forward – IF you have any wish to Leave_The_EU

EU Referendum: a turning point to defeat

Saturday 6 June 2015

000a Telegraph-006 lead.jpg
A day after we see a report that Blair is the least trusted figure in the EU debate, with Farage the second most distrusted figure, up pops the Ukip leader telling us he is going to lead the “out” campaign.
So well prepared is the man, though, that he doesn’t even seem to have realised that this is going to be a “yes-no” campaign and that he wants to be leading the “no” side.

Displaying the same arrogance as other wannabes, he also fails to realise that the lead organisation is not going to self-nominate. The leads on both sides are for the Electoral Commission to designate – and that is not going to happen until after the Referendum Bill has become law.

The rather strange thing is that this is not exactly a secret. It has been a facet of all recent referendums, and is going to be a crucial part of this one, with a very substantial dowry – worth several millions – and other privileges awarded to the designated organisations.

But if Farage is even aware of this, he has given no sign of it, planning to make a speech today to his own activists, after claiming: “We are going to take the lead, we are going to get cracking”.

Then says Farage: “We will be launching a massive series of public events and meetings all over the country starting in September. These will be public meetings. They will be live web streamed”. Then, he adds: “We are going to be busy, delivering leaflets through the doors by the million. We are not prepared to stand around and wait”.

What is worrying the man – and he’s not alone in this – is prominent campaigners who want to wait to see the result of Mr Cameron’s renegotiation before they make a move. In response, he says: ” The No campaign needs to get itself moving. All this nonsense from very snobby Tories that we should not dominate the campaign and I should go on holiday for six months – forget it!”

Nevertheless, while expecting to be at the forefront, Farage is saying that “we will open our arms and be all embracing and welcome everybody”. We will “reach out broadly across Eurosceptic community and across communities in this country”, he says.

Bearing in mind that Ukip only represents eight percent of the total electorate, if it is to stand a chance of winning the lead designation, it will have to attract the support of others, yet there are no indications as yet of which other groups are prepared to throw in their lot with the party.

There are some indications that there may be at least one more and possibly two competitive bidders for the designation, with the anti-EU movement totally fragmented. This raises the spectre of the Electoral Commission refusing to designate a “no” lead, leaving the groups to fight it out between themselves, without the financial support or any official status.

Despite this, Farage is making it clear that he refuses to be treated as “the naughty boy of British politics, being told to go and behave and stay out of the way”. He says: “That simply isn’t going to happen”.

“It is time”, Farage says, “for those across the political spectrum, particularly in the Conservative Party, to put their cards on the table. No more endless waiting, political hand-wringing or excuses. The campaign must start now”.

He says he is prepared to work with anyone and everyone who is willing to help us win this referendum and get Britain out of the European Union. But, he adds, “Those who want to help rather than harm our campaign need to stop wasting time, get off the fence and get on with helping us get our country back. There is not a minute to lose”.

All this, however, is going to cause more than a little dismay in certain quarters. Ukip, as a party, is demonstrably unprepared to fight an effective referendum campaign. Under a leader who has toxified the debate and whose tactical acumen has halved his party’s Westminster representation at the general election, few outsiders any confidence that Ukip’s intervention is going to help the cause.

Certainly, it is far too early to start active high-level active campaigning, and especially as so many of the strategic issues have yet to be resolved.

Thus, when it comes to writing the history of this campaign, I suspect that this week will mark another of those turning points which led us down the route to defeat. And future historians may well remark at the determination of so many parties on the “no” side, not only to repeat the mistakes of the 1975 campaign, but to invent a few more.

Whatever else, those historians will be wondering how it was that people apparently so committed to leaving the EU we so determined to do everything they could to remain members.

They only other thing they may ponder at is why there was, in fact, any need for a “yes” campaign, when the “noes” were so determined to lose all by themselves.

Hi,

with the upcoming EU elections on 22-May-2014 I felt it was apposite to revisit the question on the minds of the majority of Brits which tends to stretch from the simple and in my opinion sensible Leave-The-EU option which in the long term would I believe serve our peoples, our Country and our planet best and the unworkable and dishonest idiocy of re-negotiated terms with the EU as put forward by Tories who quite clearly are either hideously ill informed as to how the EU functions or just obscenely dishonest in pretending they can change the EU and get unanimous support amongst the other vassal states – the precondition for any major change!

Revisiting an article of Christopher Bookers from last summer little or nothing has changed – UKIP still haven’t a clue and have absolutely no exit and survival strategy just a clique squabbling like ferrets in a sack to stay on the gravy train, with the aim to get more MEPs elected but with zero vision and less hope of changing ANYTHING having abjectly failed to do so to date, hence their continued failure in domestic politics!

The Torieas were shocked into a debate in The House of Commons by the Independent MEP Nikki Sinclaire who gathered well over 200,000 signatures and forced the debate to occur, a debate in which David Cameron’s Government was confronted with his largest ever rebellion and was thus forced to make an undertaking to hold a referendum, allbeit he hedged his bets as ever.

To carry on the fight for a referendum Nikki Sinclaire formed the ‘We demand A Referendum Now Party’ and is standing for the cause in The West Midlands as an MEP – we can but hope this hard working and refreshingly honest and open MEP is re-elected to continue her patriotic defence of Britain and her constituents.

Sadly UKIP having done absolutely zero to support the cause now see this as an apposite band wagon to jump on to get more income by getting more MEPs! However let us not forget thaty UKIP has no ethical leadership, lacks transparency and has such a poor selection rigging process that already candidates are falling by the wayside, exposed as racists, anti homosexual, Islamaphobic and corrupt.

Let us not forget that of the 19 MEPs UKIP has had elected their titular leader has subsumed almost all power to himself, controls incomes and appoints his wife and mistresses to the staff! Little wonder that of the 19 elected he has fallen out with at least half and the balance are as much use as a soup sandwich having achieved absolutely nothing of note in their period on the gracy train!

Even Ukip has no idea how to get us out of the EU trap

Our politicians are stumbling around in the dark when it comes to EU rules. There is only one way we can renegotiate our position with Europe to our advantage

Fears over trade are forcing us into a frustrating 'consensus’ position with Europe

Fears over trade are forcing us into a frustrating ‘consensus’ position with Europe Photo: Alamy

There is virtually no political issue that generates more ill-informed nonsense than whether or not Britain should stay in the EU. We have those 304 MPs voting for David Cameron’s wish to renegotiate our relationship with the EU and put the results to a referendum no later than 2017. We have Theresa May announcing that she is going to demand a British opt-out from 133 EU regulations on law and order, but then apply to opt in again on 35 of them. We have John Cridland, head of the CBI, repeating yet again the old canard that it would be disastrous for us to think of emulating Norway and Switzerland, the two richest countries in Europe, because although they trade freely with the EU’s single market, they have no say in shaping its rules. On and on goes such grandstanding, not touching reality at any point.

The essence of the problem is that, while the British like some aspects of the EU, other aspects make them deeply resentful, without them ever really understanding the rules or how it works. Thus, for many years, as the EU surges towards “ever closer union”, Britain has, in the words of the late Roy Jenkins, become an ever more “foot-dragging and complaining member”. On one hand, the pollsters report that up to half or more of British voters want us to leave. On the other, we have an establishment “consensus” between most of our politicians, media and big business, claiming that, although the EU in its present form is unsatisfactory and needs drastic “reform”, we must stay in for all the benefits we gain from trading with it, and because it gives us “influence”.

It is this “consensus” position that is so riddled with contradictions that it amounts to no more than multiple wishful thinking. There is no way Mr Cameron could obtain the kind of “à la carte” relationship he hints at, let alone that he could do so if re-elected, in time for a referendum in 2017. First, the rules would necessitate a new treaty, requiring procedures so lengthy that it could not possibly be completed by 2017. Second, the return of powers he claims to want would breach that most sacred principle of EU law, that national powers once surrendered can never be given back.

So, legally and practically, it is impossible that Mr Cameron could get anything of what all those MPs voted for the other day. The only semblance of a realistic understanding of all the issues involved comes from a research paper recently published by the House of Commons Library on what would be involved in a British withdrawal from the EU. This explains, with an authority no MP could muster, that the only way Britain could continue to trade freely within the single market without having to accept so much of the rest of the EU’s political baggage, would be to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.

But this, of course, can only be done by a country giving notice that it wishes to leave the EU. This alone can compel its fellow-members to negotiate with it the kind of new relationship Mr Cameron says he wants. And this he could not rule out more emphatically, as again in a recent interview with El Pais, where he said there was no way he could support a vote for Britain to leave.

Regardless of Mr Cameron’s views, however, the Commons researchers then go on to explain how Britain could continue to enjoy full access to the single market by joining Norway and Switzerland as members of the European Free Trade Area (Efta), or, like Norway, as also a member of the European Economic Area. This is precisely the option Europhiles such as Mr Cridland are so desperate to misrepresent, by falsely claiming that Norway has no influence over the single market’s trading rules. Anyone who argues this has no grasp of how the system works. Not only are Efta members fully consulted in the shaping of single market legislation, but much of it now derives from global organisations above the EU, in which Norway has a voice in its own right, exercising more influence than Britain, which too often has to allow the EU to speak for it.

But it is this argument – playing on the fear that unless we remain in the EU we will be without influence and even excluded from trading with it – that would be made the centrepiece of the campaign in any referendum on Britain’s continued membership. So relentlessly would it be put over by supporters of the “consensus”, given full voice by the BBC, Open Europe and others, that it is almost a foregone conclusion that the stay-in vote would win the day.

What has so far been almost wholly lacking from the debate on all this is any properly worked-out alternative vision of what Britain’s future in the world could be if we were to regain our independence by leaving. Equally lacking, although it is again explored in the Commons research paper, is any recognition of just how incredibly complicated a British withdrawal from the EU would be, because we are enmeshed with it by such a mountain of laws and other legal obligations. To disentangle all this would present a challenge so immense that it could only be brought off by a government fully committed to the task and fired up by a vision of how well Britain could thrive outside the EU. This would require a degree of political will which so far simply doesn’t exist.

One of the odd features of this debate is that the only party committed to a British exit from the EU, Ukip, appears to have little understanding of how this could, in practice, be achieved – let alone a positive vision of how well Britain could fare outside it, to counterbalance the relentless defeatism and negativity with which the “consensus” establishment would seek to terrify us into staying in. Too many Ukip supporters take equal refuge from reality by pretending that we could simply wave a magic wand by repealing the European Communities Act. With one mighty bound we would be free. Sorted. These are children.

I confess that when I read that Commons research paper, although it did not say anything new, I did end up depressed. Its calm, common-sense reviewing of the real issues once again brings home just how inane most of the public debate over Britain’s membership of the EU has become. Without the vision and the will to work for a positive alternative, it seems we are doomed just to limp helplessly on as a “foot-dragging and complaining member” of the “European project”, as it itself staggers helplessly on into a drably visionless and ever more uncertain future. So saying, I am off for a few days to Italy to look at 15th-century paintings, from the time when Europe was still in that frenzy of creativity and intellectual engagement that was to make its civilisation the glory of the world.

One thing that has changed since Christopher wrote this article is that a wave of optimism did sweep through the informed as the IEA announced the BrExit prize offering £100K to the winner who came up with the very best and most workable exit strategy to follow the day Britain was announced it would Leave-The-EU.

For a little more detail CLICK HERE
Sadly it transpired that it would seem to have been rigged to suit, it would seem, just one judge who presented a paper immediately before the closing date and would seem to have had a hand in ensuring the apparently pre advised competitors who upheld his unworkable and ill informed paper passed to the final round.
The eventual winner chosen, it would seem by preselection, put forward a particularly ill informed paper which offerd a clearly unworkable solution which was backed by very little refertencing and researching apparent.
To be fair to the IEA they were clearly embarrassed by the exposure of Roger Bootle’s apparent dishonesty and corruption of the process that they withdrew his voting rights as a judge, however the lacked the ethics to denounce him and ensure those who seem to have, either unwittingly or deliberately, cheated were debarred.
I would hazard a guess that there was a pre scan of the 17 finalists and it was suggested that the judges should only bother reading the efforts of the predetermined submissions.
Perhaps I am being a little too harsh, but I did read every submission published and they were weak and unworkable and ill informed thus astonishingly lightweight for  matter of such gravitas.
You may by all means track down the chosen ones via The IEA’s web site and judge for yourself but when compared with the submission I believe to have been the best I would contend there was no competition and even Roger Bootle’s effort was lame in the extreme.
Judge for yourself CLICK HERE
Dr. Richard North’s submission CLICK HERE
It would seem the prize itself has sunk without trace as when you make a Google Search of the issue the media have largely ignored it, no doubt having reached the same conclusion I have here proffered. Further The IEA themselves seem embarrassed by their own apparent dishonesty and have seemingly, having been caught out, dropped the matter like a hot potato in the hope their apparent corruption is overlooked and will not damage their income stream from gullible donors!
IF my conclusion is in some way flawed then perhaps The IEA would care to explain why they, having squandered £100K of donor’s money on their lightweight and unworkable winner have failed to take the matter forward!

.
Hi,

I am not alone inhaving known& followed him on a near daily basis for over 15 years, I can catagorically assure you that Nigel Farage of UKIP is a fraud; he is a dishonest, Divisive, Insecure, Amoral, Womanising, Violent, Bully.

You will have noted the articles on these facts in the press and on the media, which are becoming increasingly common as the populism of UKIP raises Nigel Farage’s profile in EU politics.

UKIP is not being picked on in any way and their pathetic claims that ‘the establishment’ is picking on them because they are a threat is clearly a nonsense – UKIP’s risible results in domestic politics give the lie to their fantasy after over 20 years in modern politics and around £50Million of tax payers money, not to mention the funding of millionaire donors and its own members who have been ripped off and defrauded on a near industrial scale UKIP has never come anywhere near having an MEP elected and Farage himself came an irelevant third last time he stood and that was against the deeply unpopular little Bercow with no Labour or Lib.Dim. standing.

Let us not forget how badly UKIP has done in Local Elections where when 1,750 seats were being contested they only obtained 149 seats of whom Nigel Farage’s incompetent leadership and fear of competition has displaced around 20!

I am far from alone in presenting these facts of this sad figure of a man endlessly seeking the ‘company’ of impressionable young women who have found their way to secure employment at the tax payers’ expense! Farage’s insecurity is palpable as he hounds out those who may challenge him to his position as a strutting poppinjay on top of the farm yard dung heap he has created to give him a platform for conquest of the impressionable and the sycophancy of fools who he treats with all the dignity one knows of old amongst the ‘praise singers’ of tribal Africa!

You need only read the facts presented by the informed over the years such as myself

  • past Party Leaders including founder Alan Skedd & Roger Knappman MEP
  • UKIP MEPs like Mike Nattrass, Nikki Sinclaire, Kilroy Silk, Ashley Mote, David Bannerman, Martha Andreassen etc.
  • Past Party Chairmen including Roger Knappman MEP, John Wittacker MEP, Petrina Holdsworth
  • and many elected NEC members such as Dr. David Abbott, Richard Suchorzewski,  Dr. Eric Edmond, Ian Gillman, Del Young, and some 50+ other ex NEC members
  • together with such senior staff members as Heather Connyngham, Dr. Richard North and others.

UKIP may well ‘claim’ to have increased their membership to 35,000, which would be a g0od result were it not including many who are dead, a large number who have been given free life memberships and were it not based in an excess of ‘churning’ with far more ex, unrenewed members than have paid up for a membership.

Just follow the many commentaries on UKIP where they have made a great many enemies who have seen through their dishonest abusive, anti homosexual, anti Jewish and overtly racist policies and associates – the adverse publicity UKIP has earned under Nighel Farage’s self serving leadership is clearly well earned.

UKIP is in the classic position as they make more noise that there are those who investigate them and find it is not just noise but all too often noisesome and UKIP is learning the truth of the old truism that:
‘The higher up the tree the monkey climbs the more you see it’s Rse’
& in UKIP’s case and Farage’s in particular it is not a prety sight.

IF you find these facts hard to follow or in some way implausible then may I suggest you search through the media publicity UKIP and Farage have earned and try to identify the few articles that genuinely present UKIP in a good light, try to find articles that prese4nt UKIP’s achievements for in the 15+ years I have followed them in detail I have found at least 10 adverse articles & 20 damning them with feint praise for every one article praising them presenting an achievement they have made.

All too often the articles endeavouring to praise UKIP and Farage’s leadership turn out to be written by those seeking prefferment in the party such as the deeply suspect Patrick O’Flynn who for many months presented articles in The Express which we now know were to be rewarded by both a salaried job as Spin Doctor & press Officer and as lead candidate for a position as an MEP (High roll motivation for betrayal of his ethics as a political journalist for The Express!) or alternatively the articles are found to be either a pack of lies as with several articles Annabelle Fuller has placed by devious and suspect means or articles by directly salaried staff!
Consider the article below, which will of course have been ‘legalled’ by The Telegraph lawyers to be sufficiently accurate as to not attract litigation for inaccuracy.
I believe the investigations by the police that are underway will do much to influence the publicity UKIP & Farage receive over the next few weeks with a number of arrests more than likely!

Nigel Farage has a ‘violent temper’ claims female MEP

A former Ukip MEP claims Nigel Farage left her trembling after putting his fist in front of her face during a furious outburst.

Nikki Sinclaire, who left Mr Farage’s party and now sits as an independent, claimed the Ukip leader has a “violent temper” and has fallen out with a string of MEPs.

The party is hostile to women and used to hold meetings in gentlemen’s clubs, Ms Sinclaire claimed.

A party spokesman declined to comment on the allegation Mr Farage had put his fist in her face during an outburst.

She told the BBC: “I’ve been a victim of violence from Nigel Farage, assault in the European Parliament.”

“It was physical and verbal that made me tremble. He didn’t hit me – that’s battery. Assault is where someone puts their fist in front of someone’s face and threatens you.”

She said the party was unwelcoming to women.

“You will not find a senior women who has been there fore more than five years. When I was on the national executive we had meetings in gentlemen’s clubs: that was there attitude towards women.”

She went on: “Nigel Farage has been an MEP for 15 years; in that time there has been 19 other UKIP MEPs and he has fallen out with 11. In this Parliament in the last five years, the 12 MEPs he brought back to Brussels, he has fallen out with six.”

She said the party had achieved nothing since it was first elected to Brussels in 1999, and the party’s allies in the EU parliament included Holocaust deniers.

She denied she had a vendetta against the party.

“My mine purpose in life is to get a referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union.”

Ms Sinclaire represents the West Midlands and is currently on bail on fraud charges relating to her parliamentary expenses.

Earlier this month she used parliamentary privilege to claim Mr Farage had employed his wife and former mistress on the Brussels payroll.

To view the original article CLICK HERE

Farage has desperately sought to defend himself against the facts pertaining to his dishonesty having promised on Meridian TV never to employ members of his family and assuring the voters in the run up to election that no member of UKIP if elected would ever employ members of their families and was not only the first to break this ‘cast iron promise’ by employing his wife @ some £30K pa of tax payers’ money but went on to lie on TV in debate with Nick Clegg that he had never promised not to employ family WHICH WAS A BLATANT LIE.

We then note Farage made much of claims that Nikki Sinclaire MEP, who had resigned from the party as unwilling to support Farage’s anti homosexual stance and his overt support of racism and corruption, he has denounced her on the grounds that she is on bail whilst the police seek a way to save face having accepted dishonest allegations from UKIP that she had used her accounts fraudulently over 2 years ago and on which subject it is over 18 months since she was in any way questioned by the police! Let us not forget that on more than one occasion Nigel farage has been officially investigated and has been found guilty of fraudulent use of tax payers’ money, unlike Nikki Sinclaire who has never been investigated officially by OLAF for the EU!

Let us also note that Farage tried to imply that when Nikki Sinclaire denounced the fact that he was employing both his wife and at least one of his mistresses at the tax payers’ expense particularly in these times of austerity she had acted in some sort of inappropriate manner in doing so in The EU Parliament – let us not forget this has been the method of denunciation of many politicians whom Nigel Farage has sought to insult or berate – not least of whom was Barrott when he denounced his criminality or Barrosso for his unelected and profligate stance, or the obvious incompetence and unelected status of Mrs. Ashton etc. etc.

UKIP had an excellent and popular cause yet it has done little to promote it and has a very small following out of the some 40% of opponents to EU membership and have resoundingly failked the EUroSceoptic movement.

In fact it is impossible to name a single achievement of UKIP under Farage’s leadership that is of any consistent value to the cause of Leave_The_EU – even going so far as to try to sabotage efforts to gain sufficient signatures to ensure a House of Commons debate on membership of The EU and forcing a Referendum on David Cameron when Nikki Sinclqire’s efforts caused the largest rebelluion of Tory voters in the House – as Nigel Farage dishonestly and shamefully turned up on the day to try to pretend he and his party had had something to do with the achievement!

Indee the higher up the tree this particular monkey climbs the more one realises how unattractive the view is!

Hi,

further to the allegations of rape made by a young activist who is currently having her father turn away the media to prevent justice being done which we covered at CLICK HERE the media is making more of the story than they otherwise might with a major Sunday paper featuring it as a front page splash:

On page 4 the story with UKIP seemingly seeking to defame and demean the young woman was almost all provided under the guiding light of a prostitute who serviced politicians of yesteryear Ms. Mandy Rice-Davis who so appositely said ‘Well they would say that wouldn’t they’ as in this instance salaried staff members of UKIP and its leaders stepped up to the plate to belittle the young activist they should mosty cleartly have been supporting!

This is NOT the story of some rape orchestrated, or so it seemed, as the Telegraph first claimed – nor even a sexual assault and sexual and physical abuse on behalf of UKIP as the story has now unfolded – The be all and end all of this story is of the crass incompetence and irresponsibility of UKIP’s leadership team in dealing with the matter.

Imagine placing an elderly male employee in the position of investigating the matter, a job for which he clearly has no qualification or at least none quoted or in his CV, a staffer who failed to interview the alleged victim but did interview other salarid staff and the alleged perpetrator of the offence!

This just reads like the most crass and ineptly amateur attempt at ‘whitewash’ by a self serving clique of irresponsible fools – again and again we see the style of UKIP under its present claque of fools given ANY responsibility in governance, when the image they SEEK to potray for their leader is that of a stumble bum drunk constantly with a drink in hand and a fag near by!

Read the article for yourself and put yourself in the shoes of the father of this foolish young woman – of course he rebutts the press and little wonder this thus leads to feeding the story!

‘Spiked drink’ and the night Ukip’s party turned sour

The party faithful at Ukip’s gala dinner were in buoyant mood. Hours earlier, Nigel Farage had delivered a galvanising leader’s speech at the party’s 2012 conference.

The dinner afterwards at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Birmingham offered the leadership and rank and file the opportunity to have a drink, relax and mingle.

The meal was a largely jolly affair, accompanied as it was by a fundraising auction that – this being Ukip – included such desirable items as tea bags in a fancy box and a woven silk portrait of the Queen.

“This was a gathering that featured little of the bombast and none of the slickness of the larger parties’ shindigs,” reported one commentator at the time.

Yet 10 months on, the repercussions of that night’s events are still being felt.

A female activist has claimed that, amid the frivolity of the evening, she had been subjected to a “brutal assault” by a senior figure in Young Independence, Ukip’s youth wing. She said her drink had been spiked and her dress “ripped down”. She had been spat on, called a “whore”, then photographed in a state of undress to ensure her silence.

The claims finally became public two weeks ago when The Telegraph’s Mandrake column reported some of the details, leaving Ukip open to possible criticism of effectively covering up a crime by not calling in the police.

Last week, Ukip responded by passing to this newspaper a dossier detailing the claims and counter-claims for what happened that night and in the weeks and months following.

What is not contested is that the alleged incident followed the gala dinner on Friday Sept 21, presided over by Mr Farage and the party’s chairman, Steve Crowther. The alleged victim had been placed at a prominent table by Lisa Duffy, Ukip’s party director.

Lisa Duffy

The events that followed are murkier and disputed. At the heart of the case is the woman’s claim – made 12 days after the conference ended – that she had been subjected to a violent assault after her drink had been spiked.

She made the allegations in a number of emails to Miss Duffy and, as a result, the party opened an internal investigation conducted by Michael Greaves, one of its most senior officials. Mr Greaves is Ukip’s general secretary, but also a lawyer with experience at the International Criminal Court.

Last week he released to The Sunday Telegraph a report he had compiled on the case, based on the alleged victim’s emails, an interview with one of the alleged attackers and eyewitness accounts. He did not interview the woman either face-to-face or by telephone.

Mr Greaves has also written a separate, longer account for Mr Farage and Ukip officials.

Steve Crowther

In the version handed to this newspaper, he concluded that the “matter had no legs whatsoever”. After interviewing or taking statements from, among others, Mr Farage’s wife, Kirsten, Mr Greaves felt that the alleged victim’s story contained contradictions that did not stand up to wider scrutiny.

He said that she had been drinking so heavily “she must have been close to causing herself ill-health” and that the day after the attack she “is seen to be in perfectly good nick”, casting doubt on her memory of events and her claim to have been traumatised.

Mr Greaves’s report outlines events from the beginning of the evening of the gala dinner. By then, according to the Ukip account, the alleged victim had already caused a stir.

Mrs Farage had witnessed the woman “coming on strongly” to her husband. The woman, who according to witnesses was “very drunk”, is alleged to have invited Mr Farage back to her room before she was escorted from the party leader’s presence. Mr Farage had “politely declined” her offer.

With dinner over, many of the activists went on to a party hosted by Paul Staines, better known as Guido Fawkes, the political blogger. The woman went too.

Michael Greaves

Mr Greaves wrote in his report: “C [the alleged victim] was again seen by KF [Kirsten Farage] who saw that she was still very very drunk. KF indicates that she continued to drink prodigiously, perhaps 10 further glasses of wine.”

He added: “It is after this period of alcohol consumption that C claims that she was assaulted by having her dress ripped, that she was spat upon and was photographed. One of those involved with her called her a whore.”

The next day, according to the Ukip account, the woman appeared to have made a remarkable recovery. Mrs Farage and Miss Duffy both gave evidence that she was “chatting, laughing and smoking” outside the conference venue and did not look “particularly traumatised”.

Four days later, on Wednesday Sept 26, the woman wrote to Miss Duffy thanking her for seating her at the table, saying: “I am really impressed with the direction that Ukip is taking.”

Eight days on, her tone had changed. In a second email to Miss Duffy, she laid out what she then recalled had happened to her.

“Two of your Young Independence members physically assaulted me quite brutally outside the Crowne Plaza in Birmingham on the gala night,” she wrote.

“I also realise that one of my drinks was spiked and the effects of this lasted two days, including loss of vision which was terrifying and loss of memory which unfortunately for me returned this week. I’ve been really traumatised by this and am not wishing to take things further due to threats being made against me.”

Two days later on Oct 6, the woman wrote again: “I’m still very traumatised… One young guy took me outside, ripped down my dress while another took photographs, spat on me and called me a whore. All I remember is someone saying it was set up.”

She complained of feeling “numb to everything around me” as a result of the spiked drink, and suffered from heavy nosebleeds.

She added: “One young man needs slinging out of the party and reporting to the police. I haven’t done the latter since I didn’t want a scandal for everyone who works so hard in Ukip or a scandal for my family.”

On Oct 18, she wrote again to Miss Duffy: “I am afraid that what I have been through is a very serious matter and I will need to get the police involved. I’m currently seeing a solicitor about the actions of [X] and two others who were also involved in what is an assault.”

It was at this point that Ukip’s leadership, with the knowledge of Mr Farage, asked Mr Greaves to investigate.

“It is not at any stage in this matter for Ukip to report matters to the police,” wrote Mr Greaves in his analysis for The Telegraph.

He drove from Brussels to the UK to interview the alleged attacker – referred to throughout the dossier as X to protect his identity. During the interview, X denied the attack and also gave an alibi.

Mr Greaves concluded after the interview that X was “on the balance of probabilities” telling the truth.

He wrote: “Apart from what I believe to be an untruth about his taking medication, which may be explicable on the basis that someone wanting advancement in Ukip might well decide to conceal a medical condition which seriously affects mood and temperament, the writer [Mr Greaves] had no basis whatsoever to conclude anything other than that X was telling the truth or, at the least, may be telling the truth on the balance of probabilities.”

Following the interview with X, Mr Greaves decided no disciplinary action could be taken against him and wrote a report for party officials and for Mr Farage outlining why.

In his account to this newspaper, he wrote: “At this stage the complaint is, on any view, in a sorry state. C has given accounts which as to material matters are inconsistent with one another, certainly to the eye of a skilled criminal cross-examiner.”

He pointed to a series of inconsistencies, including the email on Sept 26 which made no mention of an assault. The email, he explained, “fatally undermines her later assertions of having been assaulted and having had he [sic] drink spiked”.

Mr Greaves also pointed to discrepancies between her account and statements from Miss Duffy and Mrs Farage among others, not least the alleged victim’s claim that she had suffered nose bleeds and loss of vision, adding: “The evidence of KF and LD entirely contradicts this.”

On Nov 9, Mr Greaves also wrote to the woman, inviting her to make a formal complaint to Ukip, but advising her that if she wished to do so “it is inevitable that other people will have to be involved in the affair”.

In his account, he added: “One might properly and reasonably conclude that any solicitor advising her would give her advice that once she makes a complaint of this kind it would inevitably find its way into the public domain, even before the advent of the egregious era of so-called ‘social media’.”

The woman, who had been to see a lawyer, wrote back promptly saying that she did not wish to lodge a formal complaint with Ukip. But she also wrote on Nov 12 that she had been “blackmailed into keeping quiet and that photographs taken outside the hotel would be used against her”. In the letter, the alleged victim also said for the first time that a woman had “set up the attack”.

Mr Greaves saw this as further proof of her constantly changing story. He also concluded that the attack was not a serious one. “The only complaint made had been one of assault by battery, to the extent of the ripping of a dress (to an unknown extent) and spitting. On any view, it is unlikely that that would attract more than a conditional discharge from the magistrates,” he wrote.

He also pointed out that there was no “sexual aspect” to the case except for the woman’s approach to Mr Farage earlier in the evening when she invited him to room.

Mr Greaves informed Mr Farage of his findings and at that point closed the file on the case.

Ukip’s leadership believed that was the end of the matter, but details began to leak out. In March, the alleged victim posted some of her allegations on a social networking site. “Too many witnesses to what happened. Some have evidence,” she wrote in one message, followed by: “Starting to write a short book about the attack. Finding it incredibly painful but will shame those involved. Someone spat in my face too.”

A few days later she added: “If you’ve been drink spiked go to the police, get evidence.”

Later she wrote: “I don’t know which was worse: waking up the next am and not being able to see properly or blood running down my face and not remembering a thing.”

She has never gone to the police and the West Midlands force has no record of any allegation of assault.

The woman still stands by her story, while Ukip disputes it. The truth is that what actually happened at Ukip’s conference that night in September may never be fully known.

There is NO aspect of Robert Mendick’s presentation of this story that leads me to alter the views I put forward on the 07-Jul-2013 at CLICK HERE

The only viable way forward to dig UKIP out of the hole it has dug for itself is to make sure justice is done and UKIP act responsibly and hand the matter over, as a complaint, to the police – thus exhonourating Farage from blame and culpability and he and his officers being accessories after the fact to a criminal event, be that a false allegation by a young and drunken woman or a whitewash to cover-up a crime or the assault by one or more members of the party.

Clearly UKIP in its present state as a libertine and largely irresponsible organisation should set an example and admit its mistake and ensure that not only is justice done but is seen to be done by aiding those who they have wronged by making a third party complaint to the Police and demanding Police investigation to ensure justice and the clearing of the names of the innocent.

Letting UKIP’s vile gaggle of cowards, mysogenists and anonimised staff and supporters denigrate, speculate and defame on behalf of Farage’s party serves their cause ill!

UKIP removes Italian MEP for racist insult at black Italian minister

The UK Independence Party ordered the suspension from the European Parliament of an MEP who delivered a racist tirade against Italy’s first black government minister, it emerged on Thursday.

Mario Borghezio said Congolese-born Cecile Kyenge, who was recently appointed minister for integration, would be more suited to being a “housekeeper” or a low-level council official than a minister and claimed that she would impose African “tribal traditions” on Italy.

In remarks which were widely condemned in Italy, he said that Mrs Kyenge’s inclusion in the coalition of Enrico Letta, the newly-elected prime minister, made it a “bongo bongo” administration.

He said her appointment, which was hailed by many Italians as a positive step that reflected the changing face of Italian society, was “a shit choice”.

Mr Borghezio, a member of the xenophobic Northern League who has made incendiary remarks about immigrants in the past, was suspended from the right-wing Europe of Freedom and Democracy group in the European Parliament on Wednesday.

The suspension was driven by British MEPs from Nigel Farage’s party, who were angered and embarrassed by Mr Borghezio’s remarks.

“We have asked for him to be expelled from the group. So far he has been suspended,” a UKIP spokesman told The Daily Telegraph.

A source close to Mr Farage said the Italian MEP had been a “nightmare” to work with and that the party would be “glad to see the back of him”.

Mr Borghezio is a deeply controversial figure who has in the past praised Col Gadaffi as a “great leader” and was found guilty of arson after setting fire to pallets belonging to some immigrants who were living beneath a bridge in Turin.

Increasingly influential in British politics, UKIP is keen to distance itself from the sorts of racist views espoused by right-wing partners like Mr Borghezio.

“Our British colleagues were indignant and called for him to go. That’s why there was a request for his suspension, and Borghezio did not oppose it,” Francesco Speroni, the joint head of the group, told Corriere della Sera newspaper.

Mr Borghezio may end up being expelled altogether — his fate will be decided during the next session of the parliament in Strasbourg in mid-June.

His expulsion would require the assent of a two-thirds majority of the political grouping.

He came close to being kicked out two years ago when he appeared to justify the bombing and mass shooting carried out by Anders Behring Breivik in Oslo, saying that Norway’s “multiracial society” was to blame.

He had been warned by UKIP officials that if he made one more gaffe, he would face expulsion.

Mrs Kyenge, 48, an eye surgeon who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo but moved to Italy 30 years ago, has been subjected to a tirade of racial abuse since her appointment.

Much of it has circulated on the internet, with the minister, who is a member of the centre-Left Democratic Party, called “a Congolese monkey” and a “Zulu” on websites, some of them with links to neo-Fascist groups.

Mr Borghezio was by far the most high-profile figure to attack the new minister.

“Africans are different. They belong to an ethnicity much different from ours. They haven’t produced great genes,” he said.

In response to his comments, an online petition was launched in Italy calling for his expulsion from the European Parliament.

Organised by Articolo 21, a freedom of information advocacy group, it gathered more than 130,000 signatures and was sent to Martin Schultz, the president of the European Parliament.

Will A Vote for UKIP Open the Door for Labour?
Minded of the self interest & ambitions of Tory back benchers and the blackmail of the LibDims as mere political prostitutes!!

.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
it is a matter of open discussion amongst Tory MEPs and senior Tories that Cameron is ham strung by the untrustworthy and duplicitous LibDim coalition clowns.
It is clearly recognised that Cameron is aware that the LibDims are prepared to protitute any concept of ethics which they may pretend to to stay in a position of some relevance and will be only too happy to switch to a coalition with New Labour if that will keep them feeling important!
At this stage Cameron will not risk betrayal by the LibDim traitors and an early election before his plans to turn the economy from the catastrophe caused by the economic illiteracy of Labour – Cameron will not risk progress and Clegg has threatened to pull out of the coalition and force an election and join with Labour if Cameron tries to set a date for an IN/OUT referndum on membership of The EU before the election.
Already it is clear Cameron is unlikely to win a clear majority at the next election and he knows the LibDims can not be trusted and will side with Labour to get a better deal for themselves and the hell with Britain as they seek their personal fortunes through the EU!
Hence the media are starting to expose the truth about the incompetence and unprofessional nature of UKIP’s leadership – all too well aware that there is every risk that UKIP will be used as the dustbin for every unthinking protest vote egged on by UKIP fear politics and racist incitement.
This leaves the Tories in the position that being ham strung by their partners their position is at risk – IF, out of the many seats up for election in the local elections next week, Cameron looses a significant number of council seats he WILL have problems from his MEPs and back benchers IF the Tories lose under 400 seats Cameron will survive but more than that the weaker sisters in the Tories will try to hang onto their jobs by trying to remove Cameron!
It seems all too clear that UKIP under its present leadership and utterly corrupt position of self interest and fraud are unfit for purpose to lead Britain – they can’t even vet their own candidates and have a playboy maverrick as a leader who invents and trashes UKIP policy on a whim to endlessly save face himself and continue on the EU gravy train.
UKIP stand every chance of being the protest vote as Tory & LibDim voters lend them their vote for the inconsequential local elections to try to give Cameron a bloody nose to get their own way when they return to vote in the EU elections for their party and even more so in the next General Election.
UKIP is clearly no answer merely the fulcrum on which to lever a new position in preparation for the elections of 2014 & 2015.
Leading Tories are aware that the material David Bannerman delivered to pay for the third on the list as an MEP candidate in the Eastern Region is likely to bring UKIP to its knees and oust Farage & his inner clique – The facts Bannerman has already delivered could have been used for these elections but the next 2 elections were so significantly more important that they have opted to hold the facts as a ticking time bomb to ensure UKIP are fatally damaged for the EU & GE of 2014 & 2015.
The situation in the short term for the Tories is ‘difficult‘ but relative to the parlous state of Britain and the enemy within patriotism demands they hold their nerve and do not succumb to the short term threat of UKIP destabilising the local elections or the blackmail of the political prostitutes in the LibDims.
Think before you vote I shall, as I will continue to do until a party representing my values emerges, again decline the opportunity to spoil my ballot paper by granting my mandate to any political aspirant on offer – I shall write on my ballot paper Leave-The-EU.
Ukip criticised over ‘cloud cuckoo’ views of candidates
Racism is “just ethnic banter”, vigilantes should be allowed to kill paedophiles and Londoners should wear face masks to protect themselves from Eastern Europeans, some of Ukip’s local election candidates have suggested.
UKIP Leader Nigel Farage laughs as he helps campaign for the forthcoming by-election on February 22, 2013 in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
Nigel Farage, the leader of Ukip, admits there have not been background checks on all the party’s local election candidates Photo: GETTY
The party is facing questions over its vetting after campaigners criticised the “far-right connections” and “cuckoo conspiracy theories” of some of its potential councillors.
Ukip has been surging in polls ahead of local elections on May 2, with the latest survey suggesting it could win 100 seats.
However, Nigel Farage, its leader, admitted the party has not checked the backgrounds of all its 1,700 candidates, which has led the party to abandon a number of its contenders and distance itself from others when their views have been exposed.
One controversial candidate is Richard Wilkins, standing in the Isle of Wight, who suggested on his Twitter feed that childkiller Mick Philpott should have faced “chemical castration” to stop him claiming benefits for more than two children. He also suggested Mr Philpott should be “hung or burned at the stake” and objected to police charges against “3 blokes [who] kill a pedo”, adding “if they can’t do it we will”.
Mr Wilkins said he stood by his comments on “chemical castration and hanging” and wanted them printed “up in lights”.
Another candidate, Chris Scotton, who is standing in Leicestershire, has a Facebook page that endorses the far-right English Defence League.
He has “liked” groups including “No more mosques in Britain”, “Women deserve as much respect as men… LOL jk, get yah tits out luv.”, “RACISM?? NAA MATE ITS JUST ETHNIC BANTER”, and “I hate when I lose my black friend in the dark”.
Another candidate, David Waller, a candidate in Malling, Kent, suggested that Londoners need to take extreme medical precautions when restrictions on Bulgarian and Romanian immigration are lifted next year, because of the risk of tuberculosis.
“I would…suggest not going to London after January 2014 unless you absolutely have to and if you do, adopt the Japanese practice of wearing a face mask,” he wrote on his blog.
Mr Waller later told The Daily Telegraph that he had not meant the remark to be serious and he is in no way xenophobic.
Caven Vines, a candidate in Rotherham, has also written a blog rant against “so-called British Muslims”.
“Muslims go to war warring the same cloths as ordinary people who they hide behind they cover their faces, they hide behind women and children they set up rocket launches in school yards they use children to push wheel barrows into crowds and soldiers then detonate it killing innocent people SO WHO ARE THE COWARDS.
“Its about time the Government and the Police stopped pandering to these so called British Muslims and other foreign nationals.” Mr Vines has stood by his comments.
Meanwhile, the Leeds branch of Ukip has a page describing asylum seekers as “primitives” and “undesirable aliens”.
Over the last few weeks, Ukip has been forced to withdraw some of its candidates amid rows over their extreme views.
It suspended Anna-Maria Crampton, a candidate in East Sussex, over alleged comments blaming Jewish people for the Holocaust, and Sue Bowen, a candidate in Cornwall, after it emerged she was a former member of the British National Party.
However, it has embraced some candidates with controversial histories. One ex-Tory, Rob Fraser, was censured by Leicestershire County Council in 2011 for using the phrase “n*gger in the woodpile” and previously in 2009 for saying Romanians would “stick a knife in you as soon as look at you”.
Peter Wilding, a founder of the pro-Europe British Influence campaign, said Mr Farage should not “get away with a smile while saying we haven’t done due diligence” . He criticised the “cuckoo conspiracy theories” of some candidates and the “far-right connections” of others.
However, a Ukip spokesman last night blamed Conservatives for trying to “traduce people supporting Ukip”.
“UKIP is made up of ordinary people many of whom are young and have made the odd excessive comment on new media,” he said. “However, I am perfectly prepared to answer every criticism that [Conservative] central office has laid at our door after they have told me how many Romanians and Bulgarians they expect to come to London in the next five years.”
Hi,
it seems the mainstream media, who have been aware of the criminality of UKIP MEPs all along, are now starting to speak out and present the truth about this corrupt and distasteful little clique and their self enriching & self serving support for the EU.
It will be noted that UKIP due to incompetent leadership and their personal interests are indirectly aiding the proven criminal Mario Berlesconi to get re-elected via UKIP support for extremists and racists in their EFD Group where the low life extremists and criminals of Italian politics fall under Farage’s leadership!
‘Totalitarian’ Ukip in furious row involving Neil and Christine Hamilton
Riding high in the opinion polls, the UK Independence Party trumpets itself as the new third force in British politics. Some of its most prominent members are, however, struggling to avoid living up to David Cameron’s description of Ukip as a hotbed of squabbling “fruitcakes”.
Mandrake can disclose that one of Ukip’s members of the European Parliament has become involved in an extraordinary row with Neil and Christine Hamilton, who joined the party amid much fanfare in 2011.
Neil Hamilton, who was elected to Ukip’s national executive committee, has threatened to sue Marta Andreasen for spreading “false rumours” about him and his wife.
Andreasen, a Spanish accountant, who became one of the party’s 12 MEPs in 2009, has refused to apologise. Adding insult to injury, the former European Commission whistleblower has forwarded Hamilton’s furious email to every constituency chairman in the south of England.
The dispute centres on Andreasen’s allegation that the Hamiltons are being lined up for seats in the European Parliament, thanks to manipulation of the selection process for candidates.
“While we learn about this selection procedure, we are also hearing rumours about … the Hamiltons having already been given top positions on the list in  … the South West,” she said.
Hamilton, who lost the fourth safest Tory seat in Britain after the “cash-for-questions affair”, thunders: “As you may know, I am a barrister by profession and a very experienced libel litigant. Your email is defamatory and damaging to Christine and my reputations. We require you to send an apology and retraction.”
In her email to the chairmen, Andreasen says: “Neil’s email is an attempt to deflect from the points that I was making. He has [not] attempted to rebuff the claim that the now highly centralised NEC and the party leader have taken over the placement of candidates on the list in something that I have to say really resembles a totalitarian party.”
She adds: “It is disgraceful that, as an elected representative of the British people, I am threatened in such a way following a communication to my voters. Ukip executive should not tolerate this behaviour, but I only get silence from that corner.”
If you go to the newspaper site you can read the comments which show a huge % opposed to UKIP.
If you want more factual details and wish to read the original correspondence CLICK HERE
Hardly surprising as the paper has a fairly patriotic and responsible readership who appreciate thaqt it is likely the 3 or 4% of votes UKIP are likely to get at the ballot boxes for domestic elections will strengthen Labour and leave us even more committed and embroiled in The EU.
Continued membership of The EU clearly serves the self enriching leadership clique of UKIP and their claque of self serving parasites & dishonest & corrupt ne’r do wells.
Hi,
when a point has been well made it is never a good idea to make it all over again and risk diluting its validity and it is for that reason that I quote the words of Team Junius on their blog:
UKIP: Words of Wisdom
Forget all this nonsense about UKIP surging in popularity. We’ve heared it all before. Year after year we are told by Farage and his useful idiots that UKIP is about to make it into the major league. And every year ends in failure and defeat. We were told that UKIP would win seats in Westminster. They didn’t. We were told that they were going to win seats in the Welsh Assembly and Scottish Parliament elections. They didn’t. We were told that Farage would win in Buckingham. He didn’t. We were told UKIP would see members elected as police chiefs. They weren’t. We were told that UKIP would win the Corby by-election. They didn’t. And the same goes for Rotherham.
Here are some words of wisdom from The Telegraph regarding this false dawn BUT and it is a very big ‘BUT’ the article which is a blog published on the Telegraph web site and NOT an article for a professional journalist on the Telegraph pay roll.
The Telegraph hosts a number of blogs as an internet host and does not neccessarily endorse the views or veracity of these blogs.
That said, in principle I do endorse the comments and have republished them as a fair and reasonable account of the inevitable long term failure of UKIP following on the abject failure in domestic politics to date:
Ukip aren’t surfing a wave:
they’re standing in a rockpool,
watching the tide go out Ukip aren’t surfing a wave.
Don Farage squares up to the EU windmills
Sorry, but it isn’t going to happen. In 1983 the SDP were going to break the mould of British politics; they didn’t. In 1989 the Greens were going to transform the British political landscape; they couldn’t. And in 2015 the great Ukip breakthrough will disintegrate upon the unyielding wall of electoral reality.
This morning the Tweed Army are on a roll. They are surging in Rotherham on the back of the fostering scandal. As this paper reports today, no fewer than eight Tory MPs are said to be in discussion with Sir Stewart Wheeler about possible defection. And opinion poll after opinion poll shows Ukip snapping furiously at the heels of the flatlining Liberal Democrats.
It’s a false dawn. However noble their cause, or steely their resolve, Nigel Farage and his irregulars are marching towards defeat.
Ukip are not a political force, but a political curiosity. In years to come many a pub quiz trophy will be won by those who can correctly answer the question: “What was the name of the guy who ran the anti-EU party? Begins with an N.”
In life there are rules. What goes up will come down. The Earth rotates around the Sun, not vice versa. And come election time, minor British political parties get squeezed out of existence.
It may not be fair. It may not be healthy. But them’s the facts. And unfortunately, they are immutable.
Of course, come June 2014, when next year’s European votes are counted, there’s going to be a whole lot of muting going on. Ukip will be in the process of recording their greatest ever election triumph. The Tories will have been beaten into a humiliating third place. Eurosceptic MPs will be fanning out across the airways demanding action and the summary execution of Ken Clarke.
And then nothing will happen. A year later Ukip will run, they will fight and they will lose. There will be no Ukip MPs. Their impact on sitting Tory MPs will have been negligible. They will have 3 or at a stretch 4 per cent of the vote to show for their efforts.
How can my cold, Leftist eyes penetrate the political crystal ball so clearly? Well, for one thing, I’m not a Ukip supporter, so I’m unencumbered by the hope and expectation attending several of those currently predicting a national outbreak of Farage Mania.
The truth, if you care to look for it, is out there. Firstly, there is the electoral system. Ukip cannot make a breakthrough in 2015 because the system they will be fighting under has been specifically designed to prevent them from making that breakthrough. It was not built to further the political ambitions of free spirits such as Citizen Farage. It was created to crush them underfoot; and so it will.
Then there is the second big problem facing Nigel Farage’s party: he hasn’t got one. In relative terms, Ukip have no money, no infrastructure and no activists. They have no organisational expertise, no strategy expertise and no policy expertise. Yes, they punch above their weight in the media, but that’s because much of the media is instinctively sympathetic to their agenda, not because of any presentational acumen. Not so long ago Ukip’s idea of a communications strategy was to wind up Robert Kilroy-Silk and let him go.
Then there is a third obstacle. Ukip are a single-issue organisation, campaigning on an issue most voters couldn’t care less about. According to Mori’s latest issue tracker, only 5 per cent of voters regard Europe as one of the most important issues facing the country. At the time of the 1997 election that figure stood at 43 per cent. Ukip aren’t surfing a wave, they’re paddling in a rock pool watching the tide go out.
People can spend the next couple of years preparing with mounting excitement for Ukip’s moment. But come the next election, the fix will be in. That tiny percentage of voters who rate Europe as the defining issue will have a clear choice. The EurowaryEurophile – if not fully obsessive – Prime Minister Miliband. Nigel Farage – no debate, no money, no activists, no infrastructure, no hope of a seat, never mind power – won’t get a look-in.
That’s the problem with being a lone warrior. It’s lonely.
TO LEAVE THE EU
What is the Exit and Survival Plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits when we Leave-The-EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples – they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our borders.
They also have a duty to put in place contingency plans for the collapse of The EUro & The EU or the wishes of the peoples of Britain to Leave-The-EU.
NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for over 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.
Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the Main Stream Media and Snivil Cervants.
The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING, at very best if they ALL agreed they would then  still have less than a 10% say in the governance of Britain by The EU.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU’s CAP – In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING towards that unanimous promise!
To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we thus leave our children and the future, with shame!
PLEASE POST THIS TAG AS FOLLOWS: ON YOUR eMAILS & BLOGS, FORUM POSTINGS & MAILINGS – GET THE MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE IT IS OUR BEST HOPE AS WHOEVER IS APPOINTED WILL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE AS PROVED!
I SUGGEST – since there is clearly no political party of repute, advocating or campaigning to Leave-The-EU for these United Kingdoms and restoration of our independent sovereign, democracy, with Justice & the right to self determination in a free country & minded that membership of The EU is sucking out the life blood and identity of our Country in a counter patriotic manner and at a cost in hard cash of some £53 Million a day we must consider:
Denying the self seeking & meaningless wanabe MEPs and the no longer relevant MPs the Mythical Mandate for which they clamour.
Diktat is imposed from The EU but Law should be made at Westminster, for our Country & our Peoples, by the peoples of our Country.
It is time that the entire mechanism of governance in these United Kingdoms, which has so clearly failed our Country and our peoples, was radically overhauled and updated to democratic status – failure to change will mean when we Leave-The-EU and/or it finally collapses, as it surely will, we will be no better off as the self same self styled, self enriching clique will be all too willing to betray us as they have done relative to The EU and its fore runners.
To achieve change support rational planning as with The Harrogate Agenda and similar thinking of gravitas.
Demand a Royal Commission on the cost benefits of leaving The EU and of remaining its vassals with a clear ‘Exit & Survival Strategy‘ for implementation OR responsible contingency planning dependent on THEN holding a Referendum on IN or OUT to Let-The-People-Decide!
