10 good reasons not to vote for Ukip

Nigel Farage may seem genial but his party is anything but. The polls tell us that many voters are tempted to vote Ukip at the next election, while others dismiss them as a joke – but the prospect of them gaining more power in Europe is no laughing matter

If the polls are right, and they probably are, legions of ordinary British people, decent in so many respects, will back Ukip in the forthcoming European elections.

Some will tick the Farage box because they believe the party to be the future, setting out with clarity our country’s political, social and economic future. Others will give their endorsement because they have come to despise the other parties and the establishment. Indeed Farage has been encouraging them to turn away from the political elite and to see Ukip as a new way of doing things.

There will be those, genuinely unhappy, who wish for tougher action on migration and a handbrake turn away from Europe. Both are hot-potato issues and Ukip serves up a mash more easily digestible than that available elsewhere.

And then there is the contingent that thinks some or none of these things but will vote for the party as a form of interactive entertainment. “That Farage, he’s a good bloke,” they will say. “You can have a laugh with him.”

Ukip will do well because it can best survive in the polluted atmosphere that engulfs debate about migration and Europe, but also because it’s a perfect vehicle for a protest vote. No one takes it very seriously. And that’s the sadness. Because Ukip isn’t and has never been much of a laughing matter. Here’s why …

1. Its stances are bonkers

It appears to dislike everything about the European parliament, except, of course, the money EU taxpayers make available to its representatives (of which more later). Anything born of the EU seems bad. Let’s consider some of the things that have been bad in the recent past. In the past few months Ukip has voted against updated rules on cab design and safety, which would make it easier for the drivers of lorries to spot pedestrians and cyclists.

Also against requirements that MEPs who draft legislation should publish which lobbyists they have met and their influence on the legislation. It opposed greater transparency for clinical trials data and greater protections for holidaymakers buying package holidays.

Also legislation to tackle money laundering and calls for greater public access to EU documents. Things are moving in the right direction, perhaps.

The 2010 manifesto, which Farage has called “drivel”, called for taxi drivers to be required to wear uniforms, dress codes for the theatre and for the Circle line on London’s underground to be made a circle again.

2. It has nasty friends in Europe

Farage seems a laugh in that “hail fellow well met” way. But you can tell a lot by the friends he keeps. And some of the types he hangs out with in Brussels would be seen as a rough crowd here. Who are they? There are the figures in the xenophobic and rightwing Italian Northern League, the second largest grouping in the Europe of Freedom and Democracy group, which Farage chairs. Umberto Bossi, its founder, once called for illegal immigrants to be shot. Farage knows they can be a bit unreconstructed. He had to expel one of its MEPs from the group last year after racist comments about Cécile Kyenge, Italy’s first black minister. She was, said Mario Borghezio, more suited to being a “housekeeper” or a low-level council official than a minister and would impose African “tribal traditions” on Italy.
The True Finns are firm friends too. One of them collided with a spot of bother for floating the idea of mandatory armbands for foreigners to make it easier for police to identify them.
The Danish People’s party: more ghastlies. In 2002, MEP Morten Messerschmidt was one of a group convicted of racially motivated offences. Frank Vanhecke is there too. He’s the former leader of Belgium’s Vlaams Blok, the far-right party disbanded after a court said it broke anti-racist laws. He appeared at a student rally with the BNP’s Nick Griffin in 2010. None of them are as obviously clubbable as Nige and he may want shot of them after the election. But they have been his Euro-mates for a while.

3. It’s a magnet for unsavoury types here

Domestically Ukip talks a good game. We only want respectable types, it says. But as Jeremy Hunt has pointed out, it does seem effortlessly able to attract – among the decent – a proportion of rum characters. When they say racist, Islamophobic or plain offensive things, Farage wields the stick. But even he must wonder why they pitch up on his party’s doorstep in the first place.
Andre Lampitt, we know. Having starred in the latest Ukip TV ad, he was outed for dismissing Ed Miliband as “a Pole”, asserting that Enoch Powell was right, Islam was Satanic and that Africans should be left to “kill themselves”. He has since been suspended. And then there was David Silvester, the councillor who attributed the winter floods to gay marriage. William Henwood popped up this week, calling for Lenny Henry, who seeks equality in the creative arts, to emigrate to “a black country”. These were outriders, perhaps. But what about fellow MEP Gerard Batten, who called for British Muslims to sign a special code of conduct promising not to engage in violent jihad. Farage said that wasn’t party policy.
But Batten’s still there, Ukip MEP for multicultural London. And would any other party have welcomed to a senior post Neil Hamilton, the disgraced poster boy of the cash for questions scandal? His election role has reportedly been downgraded, but he’s still deputy chair. At the weekend, he was on the BBC wearing his party hat and preaching the Faragian gospel. A strange choice to hoist on to the Ukip soapbox, but not the strangest. Is it worth mentioning that two of Ukip’s 2004 intake ended up in jail for EU expenses fraud? The party that isn’t like the other parties seems to be like the other parties after all.

4. It has rewarded offence

Recently the party has taken the stick to those who might tarnish its journey into the electoral mainstream. Perhaps that is because with favourable polls comes harsher scrutiny. But hitherto, it seemed to have little problem with those who caused outrage or offence. Poor Godfrey Bloom had to biff Michael Crick of Channel 4 News with a party brochure to get himself disciplined, but prior to that, the nonstop misogyny and references to aid being sent to Bongo Bongo Land were viewed benignly. In 2010 we encountered Paul Wiffen. He was London chairman of Ukip when he thought to hold forth on Community Care website, addressing those whose views were different. “You leftwing scum are all the same,” he said. “Wanting to hand our birthright to Romanian Gypsies who beat their wives and children into begging and stealing money they can gamble with, Muslim nutters who want to kill us and put us all under medieval Sharia law, the same Africans who sold their Afro-Caribbean brothers into a slavery that Britain was the first to abolish (but you still want to apologise for!).” Like Lampitt, he was suspended. And then he was selected as Ukip’s London North East candidate for the London assembly in 2012.
He did not win.

5. It hates the EU but cashes in

The Times and Farage have tussled about all the money he claims from the European parliament, in addition to the average £83,000 salary. It is my entitlement, he says. I use EU money to hasten its demise. Much of the focus has been on the monthly fixed-rate allowance of £3,850 and whether it is used to fund his activities as an MEP or party work. But attention has also been paid to the fact that Farage is one of 38 British MEPs in line for a second EU pension, which could reap them £41,000 a year in addition to the basic EU fund.
“It is not a system that I defend but it is the system,” he told the Telegraph.
His take on the allowances, as revealed in the Guardian, is clear and may be instructive. Is this above board, he was asked. “I think I’ve kept just the right side of the line, albeit pushing right up to it,” he replied.
Everywhere contradictions. Last week Ukip’s patriotic People’s Army toured the country in a-Mercedes Benz.

6. Its MEPs are not exactly worker bees

Having been elected and having pledged to topple the EU from within, one might think the Ukipians would be assiduous attenders, the better to disparage and critique it. Instead, they are famed absentees.
This seems a badge of honour. They get elected to the European parliament, receive a salary and allowances for being members of the European parliament. And then restrict appearances there on the basis that regular attendances would lend the place legitimacy. Ukip’s deputy leader, Paul Nuttall, set out the position on his blog after his spotty record in the EU parliament was flagged up in the Telegraph.
“I’ll hold my hands up,” he said. “My attendance record is flaky to say the least. But so what?” Dispatched to Brussels, his focus is actually his UK fiefdom. “I treat Brussels with the contempt it deserves.”

7. It’s as vulnerable to special interests as any other party

Much of the criticism of what Farage calls the establishment elite boils down to influence and money. He says that the other parties are in hock to vested interests and that chimes. No one wants to see the political process skewed by interests with fat wallets. So what is one to think of the Ukip poster campaign? The multimillionaire Paul Sykes has been generous, as previously he was to the anti-EU Democracy Movement and to the Conservatives before he fell out with them. But the £1.5m publicity campaign – the most visible in the party’s history – is as much his as Ukip’s. He funded it. Prudent perhaps. One of Britain’s richest self-made men, he didn’t become rich by wasting his money. But if his input is that important, who calls the shots?

8. It speaks with forked tongues

Leave aside the now acknowledged mistake of featuring Lampitt in the party political broadcast. And the fact that another person described as an ordinary voter in a manifesto document turned out to be a party employee who works for Farage. And the fact that one man featured in the poster campaign turned out to be a migrant actor from Ireland. And the fact that former head of the British Army Lord Dannatt condemned the image of the British flag on fire. Consider the central implausibility of the central claim: that 26 million of the European unemployed are gunning for jobs in Britain. Two million from the total are British anyway. Consider that if an entity save for a political party enjoying exemption from the advertising code of conduct ran that misleading ad, it would have been forced to withdraw it.
Then consider this, from the Sun on 12 April. “In an article MoT fix axe fears (March 30) we quoted a letter from Ukip containing claims that thousands of MoT test centres could close under EU proposals forcing motorists whose cars fail to go to a different garage for repairs. We have been informed that no such EU proposals exist and are happy to set the record straight.”

9. Its only plan is Nigel

Has there ever been a major party so dependent on one sellable character? Farage is, without question, the most dominant and effective party leader in national politics. Erase him from the canvas and what is left? EU stayaway Nuttall? “Liar and a cheat” Hamilton?
The cult of Farage is rivalled only in its potency by the cult of Boris, for like him, Farage is a vivid brand deployed to politics.
Both trade illusions. Boris projects slapstick and shambles when all the time beneath is ambitious focus and a keen-eyed grasp of modern politics. Farage is Everyman; all booze and fags and antennae for the cares and fears of ordinary people. This from the son of a stockbroker, with an often-lamented career in the City behind him; children all privately educated; prosperous product of a village upbringing in Kent.

10. It makes a sensible debate on Europe less likely

Quite the biggest achievement of Ukip has been to shape the ground on which we discuss two touchstone issues, Europe and migration. Both are complex. Both bring benefits and present challenges. But Ukip’s reductionist approach has made reasoned and nuanced discussion of both virtually impossible. And so, frightened of being eclipsed, and mindful that a simplistic answer will always trump a detailed one in the 24-hour news cycle, politicians in Farage’s slipstream distil their own arguments, minimising maturity and sacrificing logic. Those who present a reasoned argument are howled down or judged to have lost the argument. Perhaps the least amusing aspect of Farage is the impact he will have on parties other than his own.

Little wonder that after 21 years UKIP still proves to be an abject failure in domestic elections and is clearly dependent on being the protest vote of choice in EU elections!

Clearly, as the undeniable evidence shows, UKIP Can Only Claim Not to be Racist & anti Islamic with Lies!!

Hi,

in a dishonest effort to deny the facts UKIP seeks to pretend it is not a racist party.

It fools no one to show a few examples of coloured members of various hue in an effort to mislead but consider the indisputable facts.

Gerard Batten has published anti Islamic pamphlets likely to incite racial hatred and potentially racial violence just to satiate his own bronze age superstitions it would seem!

Then we note that Nigel Farage has committed UKIP to supporting racist, anti Islamic, anti Jewish members of the gutter politics of the EU, with UKIP declared as members of his odious pan EU political EFD Group.

You may well have noted the vile outburst of the dishonest and corrupt UKIP Zionist member of the House of Lords Malcolm Lord Pearson as reported in a two page spread in The News of The World some time ago and here is another unpleasant comment from the nasty little man:

UK Muslim communities are home to “thousands of potential home-grown terrorists”, former UK Independence Party leader Lord Pearson has warned.

Such people “hate us with frightening religious fervour”, he said during a parliamentary debate on Islam.

Sharia law was “running de facto in our land” and calls for violence were not simply coming from a “few extremists”.

But faith minister Baroness Warsi said Lord Pearson was either “ignorant” or attempting to “distort” views of Islam.

Lord Pearson, who led UKIP from 2009 to 2010, called a special Westminster debate on Islam.

‘Seething’ He mentioned the 7 July 2005 London bombings and the killing of Drummer Lee Rigby earlier this year, adding: “We see large and growing Muslim communities which are set against integration with the rest of us. We see thousands of home-grown potential terrorists.”

He went on: “We see Sharia law running de facto in our land and we see a birth rate which is several times ours.

“What baffles me completely is that when we do speak against these things, when we dare to say that they come from within Islam, we are told that we are the guilty ones, that it us who are stirring up hate.”

He said: “But the hate lies in the heart of the Islamist. We can only stir it up because it is already there, red hot and seething against us.

“These people hate us with frightening religious fervour and we are right to fear them.”

Lord Pearson quoted Tony Blair, who argued that “this strain (of Islam) is not the province of a few extremists”.

“Evil is at its most destructive when it passes from the individual to the collective,” added the UKIP peer.

Lord Pearson, who sat as a Conservative peer before joining UKIP, told the meeting in Parliament’s Moses Room: “I fear the dark side is moving strongly within Islam.”

‘Condemnation’ For the government, Lady Warsi responded: “I think it is a great shame at best that the noble gentleman has asked this question. It points at best to an ignorance about Islam and at worst a deliberate attempt to perpetuate a distorted image of the faith.”

Being a member of any religion involved “making choices” on how to act on one’s beliefs, the Conservative peer added.

On extremists, Lady Warsi added: “Islam, like all other major religions, is not inherently violent. Passages from sacred texts must be taken in context. It would be possible to distort quotes from any religious text.”

Talking about the killing of Drummer Rigby, she said: “If Islam justified terror, then we would never have seen the out and out condemnation of this brutal murder.”

“Most religions have suffered at most times from extremism. Islam is no exception,” Lady Warsi, who is the first female Muslim cabinet minister, said.

Al-Qaeda’s beliefs were “at odds with classical and contemporary” mainstream Islam, she added.

“Like all world religions, Islam neither supports nor advocates terrorism,” Lady Warsi told peers.

Far-right crackpots Geert Wilders and Marine Le Pen reckon Nigel Farage is their kind of chap — which is why they invited UKIP to join their new grouping in the Brussels yesterday.

Forced to rebut the suggestion on Twitter, wouldn’t it be embarrassing if it turned out that a UKIP MEP had been cosying up to ‘extremist’ Wilders — even inviting him to the European Parliament for the showing of a far-right film which intersperses quotes from the Qur’an with footage of terrorist atrocities?

Errr … step forward London MEP Gerard Batten, who — when not sporting his ridiculous suit and tie in party colours (below) – loves nothing more than to heap praise on Wilders. Writing in Freedom Today, Batten gushed:

“he is a brave man trying to defend western civilisation in the face of its own loss of the most basic instinct of self-preservation”

And Farage has the cheek to act surprised when Europe’s far-right come calling.

Dutch MP overturns UK entry ban

Far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders has won an appeal against a Home Office decision barring his entry to the UK.

The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal ruling overturns a government decision that led to Mr Wilders being turned back at Heathrow in February.

The Freedom Party leader, who has been accused of Islamophobia, planned a UK visit next week, his solicitor said.

The Home Office said it was disappointed, and would decide in “due course” whether to fight the ruling.

A spokesman said: “We are disappointed by the court’s decision. The government opposes extremism in all its forms.

“The decision to refuse Wilders admission was taken on the basis that his presence could have inflamed tensions between our communities and have led to inter-faith violence. We still maintain this view.”

BBC home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw said that a further appeal by the Home Office or a new ban on different grounds were possible.

The Home Office will need Court of Appeal permission to keep the travel ban in place pending any appeal.

Mr Wilders faces trial in his own country for inciting hatred.

The refusal to admit him to the UK in February prompted “a very heated debate at the time”, our correspondent added.

“There were people that said, ‘Look, we don’t like his views. His views may be unpleasant, they may be something we don’t agree with – but he should be allowed in to express those views and show his film, and we can argue and debate with him.’

“There were others that said, ‘It would actually inflame tensions. This is not the kind of person that we want to have.’ That was very much the line that the government said at that time.”

UKIP invite

Mr Wilders’ lawyer, Tiki Emezie, said his client was “very happy” at the ruling, and would attend a meeting with the UK Independence Party’s Lord Pearson in London next week.

In February, he had been invited by Lord Pearson to the House of Lords to show his controversial film Fitna, which caused outrage across the Muslim world when it was posted on the internet last year.

When he was refused entry, Mr Wilders told the BBC it was a “very sad day” for UK democracy.

“I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m not protesting or running through the streets of London,” he said.

“Democracy means differences and debate. It’s a very sad day when the UK bans an elected parliamentarian.”

Lord Pearson said it was a “matter of free speech”, telling the BBC: “We are going to show it anyway because we think MPs and peers should see this film.”

More Hypocrisy From The UKIP Fuhrer.

The following is taken directly from UKIP’s 2010 manifesto. It appears in the transport section.

“Invest in three new 200mph plus high-speed rail lines including a new line between London and Newcastle with a spur to Manchester, a London-Bristol-Exeter line and a linking route via Birmingham.”

Note please the words new, high-speed, and link.

So that would be HS2, then.

But now, of course, that others have taken the lead and roused opposition, it becomes prudent for the little man in the silly suit to pretend that he was against it all along. In fact, he has even claimed that UKIP is the only party to have opposed HS2.

Calling for it in a recent manifesto is a funny way to oppose it!

Or perhaps they thought that nobody would notice!

I think it was only their turn coat Peer and at the time Party leader Malcolm Lord Pearson, who has clearly not read the manifesto.

In fact he didn’t even know his party’s aim was to oppose the Tories against whom he urged a number of UKIP candidates to stand down!

That also was not in the manifesto – though I see it is now mooted by Nigel Farage clearly his sad puppet Tim Acker has no say as Policy Director just as Will Gilpin was sabotaged by bad leadership and bad practice!

There is of course no sound or viable case for HS2 which is a staggeringly costly vanity project.

The cheaper and far more sensible solution is to set out earlier if you wish tyo reach your destination sooner!

It is also well worth noting that railways have throughout their history syphoned work and people OUT of the provinces and rural areas to ever larger conurbations. Likewise jobs!

Further it is self evident that, by casting ones mind back a like time and noting the intervening progress, the country and technology will be incredibly different by the time HS2 was running if vanity prevails and it goes ahead.

Video conferencing may well have become a three dimensional experience by then and the need for travel will thus diminish considerably.

To liken rail as a service in Britain to that of continental countries is just dishonest as it is NOT the cost of transport which is the problem on rail it is the cost of handling! Britain is a tiny island by comparison with continental EUrope where goods and people can be transported 1,000s of miles with only one loading amnd unloading cost whereas in Britain few journeys exceed 150 miles and most are under 100 miles for that same handling cost.

No wonder our railways are not viable they are and will remain excessively expensive!

There is in fact a very sound argument for dismantling our railways as then commuting would become all but unviable and businesses would decentralise spreading jobs and wealth more widely and evenly, stabilising these United Kingdoms as a balanced area and pandering to the green lobby and the warmists by reducing the need for travel and the polluting influence of trains!

Hi,

although I am aware that there have been and will be claims of internet hacking by the members of UKIP, a Party undeniably linked with racism, when they are caught out in racist rants or other imature & crass behaviour.

Such claims fall into the catagory of ‘they would say that wouldn’t they‘ and thus render the claims of hacking or being misquoted all too implausible.

That UKIP’s candidates who were elected are in the main both insignificant and unheard of makes the claims yet more implausible as ‘hacking’ is a complex and skilled task and there seems every likelihood that no one of significance has been able to prove, in any way, that they have been hacked. Who exactly could be bothered hacking such irelevant individuals – frankly I incline not to believe this widespread claim of hacking!

You must draw your own conclusions but note that major national media outlets have a small army of lawyers who vet material to ensure its veracity and if there is genuine doubt they would rather spike a true story than risk facing the courts in a libel case where the courts tend to award disproportionate compensation to the ranks of nebishes bringing claims, despite the fact that their case would have required around £100,000 to be paid up front to fund front end costs in the High Courts!

Let us look first at this story below and then consider the other claims:

Nigel Farage’s UKIP party is still riddled with racism… despite his claim of a crackdown.

A Sunday Mirror investigation has discovered sickening rants on the Facebook pages of party officials.

Details of their vitriol emerged only days after Eric Kitson quit as a councillor in Stourbridge, Worcs, after we exposed his internet slurs against Muslims and Jews.

Last month Farage claimed “a huge amount of time and money” had been spent researching the backgrounds of council candidates.

He said: “Our membership is up nearly 50 per cent, and inevitably we are going to have one or two teething problems.”

But today we can reveal his members’ latest hate-fuelled postings.

Ukip’s Chris Pain, leader of the opposition at Lincs Council and the party’s East Midlands regional chairman, wrote: “Have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in ‘illegal immigrants’, and add just a few more letters, it spells, ‘Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, baby-making, non-English-speaking ********* and take those other hairy-faced, sandal-wearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-********, raghead ******** with you.’”

Mr Pain has also objected to foreign doctors working in the NHS.

Last May he posted a story about a Hungarian medic who bungled an operation on a four-year-old boy in Manchester, and wrote: “We don’t want them taking all the jobs in the local community and we certainly don’t want them working in our hospitals!”

Peter Entwistle, party chairman in Bury, Greater Manchester, labelled President Barack Obama a Muslim, writing: “I bet he’s a closet ‘Imam’ as well!

“If I ever see him on a Greyhound bus wearing a rucksack, I’m getting off!!”

The party’s deputy chairman in Scotland, Misty Thackeray, “liked” a Facebook group claiming “paedophilia is part of Islamic tradition”.

He also praised far-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders, a self-confessed “hater of Islam”.

Recommending Mr Wilders’ new book, he said: “Geert is great …(peace be upon him.. lol) ..!”

Meanwhile Tiggs Keywood-Wainwright, a Ukip councillor in Boston, Lincs, complained about mosques being built in “quintessentially English” Cambridge. “Is nowhere sacred for the Brits in Britain any more?” she wrote.

“Bottom line is we have too many muslims in this country!”

Mr Pain said the comments on his Facebook pages were “not my original posts or writings”, claiming his account had been hacked.

Mr Entwistle laughed when confronted about his President Obama bus comments, saying: “I don’t think I’d be the only one getting off.”

Mr Thackeray refused to comment on “this ridiculous nonsense”. He said Mr Wilders was a “legally, democratically-elected politician”.

Ms Keywood-Wainwright admitted she “probably” regretted some of her remarks.

She claimed she meant there were too many Muslims “in certain areas”, adding: “My GPs are all Muslims and I have no problem with them at all.

“One of them is extremely nice and very, very good at her job.”

Farage described demonstrators who besieged him in Edinburgh on Thursday as “fascist scum”.

He also slammed the phone down on a BBC interviewer questioning him about Scots issues.

That Nigel Farage found himself the4 victim of some of the abusive low life inadequates that seem all too prevalent in Scotland comes as no surprise to me having personally been dishonestly and corruptly abused in efforts to defame the facts I have published by some of the all too similar scum such as Matt Quinn, George McKendrick and a host of other vile Scottish ne’er do wells and failed personalities with their inadequacies writ large in bile in the manner they bear chips on both shoulders! Just look on the internet and you will find their cyber bullying and dishonest abuse all to readily!

That Nigel Farage played right into the hand of these cowardly parasites is indisputable with the overt racism, anti homosexuality, xenophobia and misogyny of the partners he chose for UKIP as its allies in The EU and increasingly it seems he chose as candidates within his own party as shown by the recent resignations amongst his all too small group of recently elected Councillors (a mere 147 out of the 1,700+ which he fielded!). None in Scotland you may note!

Farage was outraged that in a democracy he wasn’t even allowed to make his point before being shouted down. I’d concede him a point there. We should have let him tell us what his policies were: policies like repatriating powers to Westminster, getting rid of women’s and gay rights, abolishing our fairer system of elections, adopting English policies on education (£9,000 a year) and health (selling off the health service) and public services, before we told him we didn’t want any of it.

But Farage wasn’t so keen to make his point when he was asked, politely, about his party’s dismal showings in Scotland. BBC Scotland’s telephone interview was relatively easy going compared with what SNP ministers have to handle. There were no hard hitting questions on some of the dodgier UKIP members, who earned the party the reputation for being clowns; no questions about Farage and his mates in Brussels and Strasbourg allegedly missing vital committee meetings where British fishing interests were in question, because they were allegedly drunk. (Interesting that Northcott above seemed to find it strange that a “jock” would be sober enough to string a sentence together.

In his answers he conflated anti UK sentiments with anti English sentiments. And complained that he had been surrounded by people who wanted to take Scotland out of the UK. How on earth can he criticise an independence movement when his own party’s name is the UK INDEPENDENCE Party.

But for all that, given his chance to put his point, he put down the phone in the huff because he sensed hatred. Jeez, the man needs to get out more.

Can you imagine how Alex Salmond would have dealt with that?

Clearly FaceBook particularly is an irresponsible host of ‘social media’ and its lack of discernment is self evident from the clear fact that any Tom, Dick, Harry or McTavish who is listed as a follower is glibly described as a friend and all too often Scots seem grossly ill informed of their own history but all too well versed in its mythology believing there is more than a shred of truth in ‘Brave Heart’ a work of pure fiction based on fantasy which puts butts on seats in cinemas!

I well remeber some years ago when Nigel Farage stations one of hs very scarce intelligent staff in Scotland for an election where sshe (Heather Conyngham) was tasked with finding out how politics in Scotland functioned and recruiting candidates to exploit it with her guidance and a very meagre purse! UKIP knew little of politics then and seemingly have forgotten most of what they may have know since!

There is no one of notable abil;ity in UKIP’s team in Scotland bar some fool of a pretend member of The House of Lords and perhaps one could count Malcolm Lord Pearson of Rannoch who not only proved utterly inept as Nigel Farage’s pupopet leaderr during the ‘Berkow’ debacle where Farage did so badlt but also Pearson was exposed as both disloyal and a liar!

With so little understanding of Scotland and its politics, much of which is based on Scotland’s own fantasy history and a warped understanding of both politics and international commerce; which has driven a bitter wedge of folly and hatred based on envy between Scotland and her allies Farage stood little chance of coming out of his recent misguided foray North unscathed.

I write as one who has both lived and worked in Scotland, where my parental home for over 20 years was Wester Ross!

In future Nigel Farage may care to consider the backdrop to his activities before parading his enactment of a Tory Boy and City slicker on behalf of UKIP north of The Tartan Curtain!

The corruption of EUkip’s leadership,

It is sad, due to utter unprofessionalism and lack of competent leadership that UKIP as The Farage cult, a One-Man-Band, is seen as a political joke!

Clearly Nigel Farage is a clever performing monkey at times but he is without leadership skills or OQ* and seen as a nuisance rather than a threat having hugely damaged the EUroSceptic movement with his dishonesty, showing off & spiv antics & self destructive lack of gravitas.

UKIP has no leadership, no strategy, no tactics & no professionalism, thus few informed or competent supporters!

my thanks to Guido for this cartoon which shows that even his friends see Farage as little more than a clown in political terms.

With tyhe overt extremism, anti Islamism, racism, anti homosexual behaviour of the group Farage leads in The EU it is little wonder UKIP has no future in British domestic politics, when even the Greens managed to get an MP UKIP consistently averages around 3% in all domestic bye elections and still has less than 30 individuals elected to any office of note out of the 19,500 seats available in British politics.

The very clear fear of Islam of bufoons like Gerard Batten & the Zionist extremist Malcolm Pearson are undeniable (remember his extreme outburst of vitriol against Muslims which gained him & UKIP a double page spread in the media!) – one only need read the pamphlets written by the risible low life and liar Gerard Batten MEP that incline to promote racial hatred and the atrocious publicity Malcolm Lord Pearson, one of Farage’s puppets, have garnered for UKIP to realise their hatred and the obvious lack of competence in their own superstitions that they can not expect to lead by example!

You will also note the very many articles and links on this web site that show beyond a shadow of doubt the corruption, criminality, dishonesty, racism, anti Islamism, anti Judaism, extreme Zionism, holocaust Denial and willingness to resort to violence of UKIP and their close allies and associates.

UKIP are NOT The BNP in blazers they are far far worse and much more dangerous as they build their little clique around their only notable individual (much as The BNP did) forming a cult of self interest and self enrichment where appointments are all controlled from the center and internal elections are clearly proven to have been rigged.

The danger of The Cult is that in so many ways they pass themselves off as seeming acceptable and patriotic, when clearly they have as much understanding of Patriotism as they have of the principles of Libertarianism where they seem to consider Libertarian to mean libertine behaviour for those in the clique of the cult a and rigid and absoluter authoritarian control of those outside the cult even those in their well honed claque of cowards, sock puppets and the self serving.
