Hi,
it is interesting to note just howmany people in their condemnation of a referendumand its risks so consistently fail to show that there is a methodology to improve the fairness of such referendum.A Referendum will be lost if taken in narrow isolation – I have little doubt of that.

We must always ensure that any referendum is held AFTER a Royal Commission is held, which will be charged with not just a cost benefit study of our membership of The EU and of our leaving with a clear ‘Exit & Survival Strategy‘.

I am sufficiently certain that a Royal Commission would act responsibly to inform the electorate in detail for a full, fair, evenly funded and evenly promoted referendum that I am happy to say that in its Exit & Survival Strategy it will surely promote the strategy of use of Article 50 as our strategy for exit.

The idiocy of permitting a referendum on government terms without a Royal Commission and with no sound Exit & Survival Strategy disregarding Article 50 would be crass, suicidal and irresponsible.

That we have a need for an Harrogate Agenda or similar is just as indesputable as to move on using the 19th. century style of governance into the 21st. Century will merely lead to the next foolish scam or social engineering as with the oh so arcane, undemocratic and Victorian style concepts of The EU.

Consider, in your study of the concepts and to add balance Richard North’s comments which follow, comments which I incline to support in the context of overlooking the details I have annotated so far:

 EU Referendum: foundering Farage

Saturday 22 September 2012

Farage 767-bqo.jpg

“I think we’ve proved that we are a serious party that cares about a lot more than just Europe”, says Harold James, an active UKIP member from Weston-super-Mare, veteran of nine conferences.

Predictably, though, the Spectator is less than impressed, accusing a “Floundering Farage” of struggling a little once “away from his hobby horse of a European Union Referendum”. But, had the magazine been on the ball, it could have observed that Farage was struggling even when riding his hobby horse.

That is the only conclusion one can draw from his “Referendum Stitch-Up” pamphlet. His knowledge about the mechanics if the EU was always slight, but in this production he demonstrates that he has not added significantly to his knowledge in the ten years since I worked across a desk from him.

If this was simply a matter of a vainglorious party leader doing what politicians so often do – displaying his ignorance – it would not matter so much. But, as even the Spectator concedes, we are almost certainly looking at a referendum in the not too distant future.

Rigged though it may be – and we could hardly expect otherwise – I have to believe that this referendum is winnable, and that we can successfully deliver a “withdraw from the EU” message to our masters. With contributions such as Farage’s, though, we are set to lose.

To understand why, it is helpful to go back to the debate we were having on Article 50, where we argued that we need to take advantage of the negotiation process offered to draw up a relationship with the EU before finally cutting the knot.

Amongst those who disagreed with this stance was Nigel Farage, one of many who believe that we can unilaterally abrogate the treaties and then expect the “colleagues” to sit down and negotiate with us, without there being any penalty from such action.

Until now, quite how Farage managed to believe that this could be a penalty-free option has escaped me. But, if it is his settled belief that a free trade area can be set up with “a blank piece of paper“, then it is unsurprising that he sets such little store on negotiation – there is only a blank sheet of paper to agree. And that attitude is what is going to lose us the referendum.

The reason why this will happen is because Farage and his supporters are preparing, in an utterly cavalier fashion, to ditch the “single market”, that iconic property which legend has it was breathed into life by the Dragon Queen herself, Margaret Thatcher.

Yet, examine David Cameron’s rhetoric on the European Union and you will notice the emphasis is almost entirely on preserving this mythical beast. To threaten it with extinction is to invite unrestrained enmity from the entire Tory tribe and give hostage to fortune to the other side.

And that is only part of it. The “single market” effectively comprises a huge body of EU law – directives, regulations and decisions – alongside thousands of meticulously crafted standards, which together binds the corporate world and protects it from the cold winds of competition, mainly from small and medium businesses.

Anyone who believes that big business doesn’t like regulation simply knows nothing about big business. As noted in our forum, “complex regulatory structures are a significant barrier to entry, and dominant firms that can afford large compliance departments often lobby for such regulation which prevents the entry of upstart firms”.

And, in their enthusiasm for more and more law, the corporates are the natural partners to the EU. If their precious body of law is threatened by a “no” vote in a referendum, they will pour massive funding into any “yes” campaign.

The best we can possibly hope for from the corporates is their neutrality, which could only be secured – of at all – by assurances that their “single market” is kept intact.

On the other hand, the genius of the EU is the way it has hijacked trade regulation and harnessed it in the service of political integration. In promoting our exit from the EU, therefore, we have to detach the corpus of standards and trade agreements from the community acquis and give it an independent identity.

This, to my mind, is one of the greatest challenges confronting the “outers” in any referendum campaign. It is also one I believe we can deal with by negotiating continued EEA membership – thus keeping the single market intact for at the very least a transitional period, while we sort out better, long-term arrangements.

Whatever might actually be decided though, we cannot afford to ignore the single market, or the rent-seekers who gain so much benefit from it. Allowing a “floundering Farage” to set the pace here would then be to invite a foundering campaign. Protect the single market, or we lose.

 EU Referendum: fighting the good fight

Saturday 22 September 2012

UKIP 834-jwy.jpg

There is a joke amongst economists, Nigel Farage tells us in his “Referendum Stitch-Up” pamphlet, that a real free trade agreement can be illustrated by holding up a blank piece of paper.

That, he avers, is because if trade is genuinely free, there are no regulations to follow or tariffs to pay but business people and traders can get on without hindrance or interference in doing business and creating wealth.

Thus, in principle, we are told, “to create a single market or free trade area is incredibly easy if you know what you are doing and think it through. It merely requires an absence of restriction, most easily achieved by the progressive – or instant – dismantling and removal of all existing barriers and tariffs”.

Unfortunately, a regulation-free market is neither desirable nor acceptable, and if this presented as UKIP’s objective for Britain once we leave the EU, it will simply invite the hostility (and derision) of those who understand why much of the regulation at present in force must remain.

One can, or course, make a case of the removal of tariffs and also non-tariff barriers, but it is important to realise how important well-crafted regulation is to international trade.

This can be well illustrated addressing the problems of a banana importer, based in London, buying from growers everywhere in the world to supply wholesale and retail customers throughout Europe.

In the nature of things, the quality of the product will vary and with it price. It has thus long been the sensible habit of shippers to use grading schemes – a common language between buyer and seller – so that the nature of any transaction is fully understood.

This does make sense. Our putative buyer, who might decide to purchase a load from Jamaica, may wish to order Grade A bananas, sight unseen. And, as long as an agreed grading scheme is applied, he will know exactly what to expect for his money.

There could be problems, though, if he wished to buy Grade A bananas from Costa Rica and that country operated a different grading scheme. National authorities in some countries could even give their exporters a price advantage by setting more relaxed standards, while still allowing produce to be called Grade A, to the detriment of buyer and consumer.

More complications arise if different consumer countries dictate their own specific standards, thus leaving our putative importer being able to buy produce from one country which he can then sell in some countries but not others. Thus, each country having different standards – whether producer or consumer – is a recipe for chaos.

On that basis, it makes absolute sense to have international standards.for commodities which are traded internationally. And for them to work, they must be common standards that are known and recognised by buyers and sellers alike.

Such standards are not in any way a restraint on trade – quite the reverse. When properly and sensitively crafted, they facilitate trade and are seen, overall, as beneficial. As such, they are a necessary precursor to free trade. Clearly, that applies here with South African bananas.

This being the case, it is unsurprising that many commodity standards pre-date EU regulations. In fact, much of the current EU legislation for agricultural produce is based on a British model developed long before we joined the EEC. Even in the land of the free, the United States, agricultural produce for inter-state commerce was being regulated as early as 1880.

Nor is it a surprise that much regulation is actively sought after by the trade itself. Take meat safety, for instance. Few people realise that official inspection did not become compulsory in this country until 1963 yet, for decades before that, producers had voluntarily paid for inspection as a measure to improve consumer confidence in their products.

And when, in 1964, the Six in the then EEC imposed mandatory inspection of imported meat, to be carried out at the point of slaughter, the system was based on a regime developed by the British. It had been imposed in response to the Aberdeen typhoid outbreak, which had been linked to Argentinean corned beef, again to promote confidence in international trade.

The important thing, therefore, is not the absence of regulation, but the right sort of regulation – sufficient for the purpose and not too onerous – applied only where it is needed. Where the EU most often went wrong was (and is) in applying export standards to internal trade or – where grading regulations was applied – prohibiting trade in ungraded produce.

veg 430-cmk.jpg

To an extent, this is being addressed, with the EU progressively relaxing standards (allowing misshapen fruit and vegetables), so some of the the issues that Farage raise in his pamphlet have less force anyway.

That aside, regulation does not only apply to goods, but also services such as air travel. Here for instance, if we look at requirements for commercial aviation, we see minimum regulations applied to the equipment required by airliners to enable them to land in reduced visibility conditions.

Knowing Farage’s intimate acquaintance with aviation safety, one suspects he would not want to see such regulations removed or weakened. Would he really be happy with a blank piece of paper when it came to his flying to Strasbourg to pick up his expenses?

Thus, the real issue is that, even if reduced, a huge tranche of trade regulation will remain. It cannot be wished away. We thus have to find a way of dealing with the continuing process of adding, modifying and adapting trade regulations while outside the EU yet still trading with its member states.

In this context, to pretend that we can live without trade regulation is not helpful to the cause. We need more sophisticated arguments to carry the doubters, coming up with real world solutions that demonstrate our understanding of the realities of modern international trade. Farage’s fluff simply isn’t good enough.

 EU referendum: delaying the inevitable

Friday 21 September 2012

BBC 892-lqp.jpg

Farage put his finger on the Cameron dilemma this morning, pointing to the Conservative leader’s credibility gap when it comes to promising a referendum.

Talking on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, he said that he would only consider making a deal if it was “written in blood” that there would be a[n in-out] referendum on Britiain’s EU membership.

What was not raised though – not here or in an earlier programme – is how different the political landscape will look in 2014 when the euro-elections are due to be held. Thus, although Farage consistently claims rising support for his party, he and his followers may be disappointed when it comes to the elections.

Not least, the much lauded poll ratings consistently fail to materialise as votes in real elections.

For instance, in one recent council by-election, Canterbury City – Blean Fores, the Conservatives took 342, Labour 185, Lib-Dem 121, Green 64, UKIP 38 and Independent 24. Cornwall County – St Keverne and Meneage, had the Tories on 585, Lib-Dems 279, UKIP 141 and Labour increasing to 52 (from 33 in June 2009). Scarborough Borough – Esk Valley gave the Tories 606 votes, Independent 151 (down from 417 in May 2011), Labour 87 and UKIP 35.

So consistent is this experience that one can discount the UKIP election hyperbole. And, to make matters worse, there is recently another factor in play. As the Independent reports, in all the recent by-elections, both Labour and Conservatives scored “landslide gains” at the expense of independents.

We may thus be seeing precisely that which we have seen in Germany and in the recent Dutch elections – the classic small-party squeeze, which is so often apparent when times are uncertain. And where the UK election is shaping up for a battle between two unpopular personalities, perversely, that tendency might be accentuated.

In recent years, however, the euro-elections have obeyed their own rules, and Farage might confidently expect a good showing for UKIP in 2014. But again there is another factor at play: Barroso has committed to publishing proposals for a new treaty before the euro-elections. With the commission president determined to make this an EU election issue, electioneering could be sufficiently transformed to make it mainstream – to the detriment of UKIP.

With Cameron planning a major speech on European policy next month, he may well take the opportunity then to commit to a referendum, contingent or renegotiations arising out of the treaty process, essentially marginalising UKIP and its pretender, the “We demand a referendum” party.

Here, the Conservatives are in a much stronger position, as polls on EU sentiment tend to show that the renegotiation option (however unrealistic) is popular with the voters, and Cameron can rely on the “referendum lock” to demonstrate his good faith. He does not need to make a promise “written in blood”, he may say, when it is written into an Act of Parliament.

This does not stop speculation elsewhere about electoral pacts with UKIP, from the usual ill-informed suspects, who currently don’t seem to understand that the chances of a referendum before 2016 are slight. In all probability, we are looking at 2017 or beyond.

Those, like Nikki Sinclair’s little party – which has dreams of a referendum in 2014 – clearly fail to realise that Cameron can use for an alibi, active engagement in EU negotiations. No sensible person could expect a referendum while negotiations are still in progress.

To that extent, also, the Tory europlastics are beginning to outflank the “outers”. Knowing that renegotiation is more popular with the public than the straight “out” option, they have concentrated their firepower where success is most likely. That could well leave Farage and his supporters stranded, being faced with fighting a referendum in the distant future for which they are singularly ill-prepared.

The “outer” fraternity thus looks doomed to get what it wished for. And unless Farage stops whingeing about how the contest might be rigged, and starts working out how to win the referendum we’re going to get, rather than the one UKIP wants, the wish granted could prove his nemesis.

 Politics: another one doesn’t get it

Friday 21 September 2012

Lamenting the decline of political parties, a Failygraph hack still believes there is a remedy. “The answer is fairly simple”, he writes, “To recover, political leaders need to come up with radical and original ideas that enough people think are worth supporting”. The man simply doesn’t get it. If they could have done so, they would already have done so. They cannot, because it is not in their nature. But, if you want radical and original ideas, they are there, in the Harrogate Agenda. And that rather illustrates why political parties must continue declining – together with their cheerleaders in the media.

However, not all is lost. The man at least understands that we are now the mainstream. “No matter who wins the next election, it is likely that abstainers will outnumber those voting for the winning party”, he writes. But that has been the case for a long time. Why is it taking them so long to realise?

 EU referendum: strategy is the problem

Thursday 20 September 2012

Leadsom 124-pfl.jpg

In a well-judged intervention, Cranmer tells us that the Eurosceptic “movement” (if it be) is fundamentally a clash of gargantuan egos, none of whom will deign to co-operate or collaborate with their co-eurosceptics, principally out of a lack of trust, belief or respect.

So, His Grace tells us, with a referendum on the next EU treaty looming – and, as sure as night follows day, it is coming – please don’t expect political coherence or campaigning strategy from the Conservatives, UKIP, the Democracy Movement, the Campaign for United Kingdom Conservatism, Better off Out, Campaign for an Independent Britain, the Freedom Association, or the Liberty League.

Frankly, he says, you have more hope of persuading a Wahhabi Sunni to sup with an Ahmadiyyan and plant the cornerstone of a new mosque. If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand: the referendum may already be lost.

Hesitant as one is to disagree with His Grace, one has to say that he is wrong. This is not a matter of egos, gargantuan or otherwise, but of strategy. Egos we could cope with. The more profound differences over strategy are far more problematical.

Courtesy of Witterings from Witney, we see demonstrated precisely the point in the recent adjournment debate led by Tory MP Andrea Leadsom.

This is a woman who is determined that we should “renegotiate our EU membership – to remain within the EU but to have our absolutely best attempt at renegotiating a relationship that works for Britain, with full and free access to all EU assets, but without being hampered in a global world by EU regulation”. What she wants, she tells us, is “fundamental reform”.

No red-blooded eurosceptic could begin to agree with such a europlastic view, but within the debate there was also David Nuttall, Tory MP for Bury North. As chairman of the Lords and Commons “Better Off Out” group, he wants us to repatriate all powers from the EU.

We would have no difficulty in accepting this desirable objective, except that Nuttall does not think we are likely to be given the choice of an in-out referendum. He thinks we are more likely to get an in/in referendum: the choice of the status quo – staying in as we are now or staying in with 17/20, 18/20 or 19/20 of the status quo and repatriating a few powers.

The trouble is, as Leadsom points out, while a July 2012 YouGov survey had 48 percent wanting to pull out and 31 percent wanting to stay in the EU, if a new deal was renegotiated, the poll suggests that people would vote in a completely different way. Most – 42-34 percent – would vote to stay in the EU.

This is the eurosceptic nightmare: a referendum offering not the in-out option but the “reform-out” option. This would be very hard to win. Strategy becomes absolutely vital.

Then, as WfW reminds us, there is the Lilley point: during a referendum campaign, on average there is a 17 percent swing back in favour of the status quo. This means it is necessary to start with a 34 percent lead for change to have a 50 percent chance of winning. Starting with roughly half of people being in favour of leaving and a third in favour of staying would result in a vote to remain in the EU.

Problematically, though, our people are not thinking strategically. Under these circumstances, the Minford idea of unilateral withdrawal, followed by negotiation, would be a disaster. The uncertainties would drive voters into the EU camp.

Yet, despite the potential for disaster, this is the preferred UKIP option, and the guardians of the message are quick to stamp on dissident thought. There is no debate in this “outer” fraternity. You either conform with the approved message or you are consigned to outer darkness as a “traitor”.

Nor is there any recognition of the “Stokes precept”, from Richard Stokes, the Labour MP for Ipswich, who on 15 October 1940 told the House of Commons in a debate on war aims that it “… is no use fighting for a negative object. You must have a positive one, and the sooner that [is] stated the better”. To gain a broader acceptance from the majority of the population that we should leave the EU, we must be able to offer a positive object. Simply to fight on the negative one of leaving the EU is not enough. And just to argue for a referendum, without the first idea of how you would win it, is suicide.

Those who refuse to accept this, who robustly argue simply for unilateral withdrawal and expect the nation to rally to that cause, are part of the problem – as much as those like Leadsom, who are arguing for “fundamental reform”. Egos really don’t matter. It cannot be emphasised enough that what counts is strategy.

Sadly, while the old saw, “divided we fall” may be true, uniting behind the wrong strategy could be just as fatal. We thus face the prospect of “united we fall, divided we fall”. Even so, there is time yet to mend our ways. We should take the opportunity while we can, if we can.

New ‘EU Referendum Party’ puts pressure on UK PM

Article | September 17, 2012 – 12:25pm | By Andy Carling

A new Eurosceptic party is putting the British Prime minister under increasing pressure to commit to a referendum on Britain’s EU membership ahead of the next UK general election in 2015, a year after the elections for the next European Parliament.

The party, ‘We Demand a Referendum’ was registered with the UK Electoral Commission in June this year and is the brainchild of Eurosceptic MEP, Nikki Sinclaire, who broke away from the UKIP co-led Europe of Freedom and Democracy over concerns that the group had, in her view, been associating with racists and homophobes.

Sinclaire visited 10 Downing St last week to drop off a 100,000 strong petition calling for a referendum, for the second time.

The party is based on Sir James Goldsmith’s old Referendum Party, a forerunner of Nigel Farage’s UKIP, which was set up to contest the 1997 general election, won by Tony Blair’s Labour party in a landslide victory. Goldsmith’s party failed to come anywhere near winning a seat.

The new party intends to field candidates “in every region of the country” and believes they could have 6 MEPs in the next European Parliament, citing a poll for YouGov that said a third of voters would consider voting for them.

The party has won the support of Rupert Murdoch’s Sun newspaper in Britain.

UKIP and the right of the Tory party, who are looking to unseat the Prime minister, are also asking for a referendum and threatening to take seats off the Tories.

Many political insiders in the three main UK political parties believe that the pressure will succeed and there may be a manifesto commitment to a referendum in all major parties. The thinking is that Cameron will bow to pressure and Labour leader, Ed Miliband will follow suit.

However, the move comes after European Commission President Jose Barroso’s state of the EU speech in Strasbourg, where he called for a tighter union and even dared to mention federalism and that a new treaty for the EU, which incorporates a political and fiscal union, would be required.

Former PM John Major, who successfully argued for the UK opting out of euro membership, noted at the weekend, “What you’re now seeing, out of failure and not success, is the euro core looking to integrate further, much more towards a federal structure.”

He added, “That offers an opportunity for us to clean up one of the long-running sores of British politics, which is our relationship with the rest of Europe.”

He appeared to indicate that a discussion, followed by a referendum that would put the new treaty to the electorate was a better approach to the nation’s future relationship with the EU.

UKIP leader loses legal challenge over Van Rompuy ‘damp rag’ attack

By Martin Banks – 17th September 2012

I have a feeling that they do not want this case to come up at allNigel Farage

UKIP leader Nigel Farage has lost an appeal against a penalty imposed by parliament after he compared European council president Herman Van Rompuy to a “damp rag”.

Farage was punished for a 2010 speech in which he said the former Belgian prime minister had “all the charisma of a damp rag and the appearance of a low-grade bank clerk”.

Van Rompuy was present for the speech in parliament’s chamber and the attack was condemned by other MEPs.

Farage sought to overturn a penalty of €2,980 – equivalent to 10 days pay – with a legal challenge to the EU’s general court, which is part of the European Court of Justice (ECJ).

The court, though, has upheld the decision to fine Farage, ruling his appeal as ‘inadmisssible’.

After the judgement was made public Farage said he was “wholly dissatisfied” with the ruling which he says has been rejected on a ‘technicality’.

It is now possible he will appeal against the decision to the ECJ itself.

He said, “I have a feeling that they do not want this case to come up at all.

“It is vital that the freedom of speech of all elected members be upheld in parliament. Freedom of speech is not just for supporters of the EU’s political union.

“I shall now weigh up my options of appeal.”

A UKIP source said, “It was argued that Farage was entitled to have his words spoken in parliament covered by immunity and that the legal affairs committee had acted in error in refusing to uphold his right to free speech.”

It was argued by Farage that this right had been contravened by the decision of parliament’s then president Jerzy Buzek to impose a financial sanction for speaking about Van Rompuy “in less than complimentary terms”.

But the following article was far more newsworthy, as we all know The EU and EU law tends to block the right of free speech for the public and so it is hardly surprising that that level of undemocratic corruption also pertains to controlling speeches in their toy parliament, that oppose their grubby experiment in social engineering and centralised committee dictatorship!

At least the following article shows that there are some who seek to put the aim to Leave-The-EU before their own interests and their own incomes!

MEP heralds ‘breakthrough’ in campaign on Britain’s EU membership

By Martin Banks – 13th September 2012

It will pile pressure on the prime ministerNikki Sinclaire

A campaign aimed at forcing a referendum on Britain’s EU membership has been given a double boost.

A petition demanding a straight “in or out” vote has attracted more than 100,000 signatures – which campaigners say “should be enough” to force a debate on the issue in the UK House of Commons.

Organisers of the so-called ‘Voice of the People’ campaign handed the petition to British prime minister David Cameron at Downing street in London on Thursday.

The delegation was led by Nikki Sinclaire, an independent MEP.

Sinclaire hailed the 100,000 target as a “breakthrough” saying it was bolstered by a new opinion poll which reveals that 56 per cent of those surveyed want the public to have the final say on whether the UK pulls out of the EU.

It showed that 65 per cent of Conservative voters want a referendum on British membership.

Nearly 1500 people took part in the online poll.

She said, “It will pile pressure on the prime minister to hold the first referendum on Europe since 1975.

“This is an encouraging development and raises the prospect of an early debate on our continued membership of the EU – almost six in 10 people want a national debate on the pros and cons of EU membership”

“Clearly the people of Britain want to decide who governs Britain. It must be alarming to the government that despite all their assurances on sovereignty and cast iron promises, more and more people have given up on this European project.

“This argument has gone on far too long, we must decide our course once and for all in a binding referendum”

She added, “The politicians ignore the will of the people at their peril”

TO LEAVE THE EU

What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples – they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.

NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.
Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.

The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU’s CAP – In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING towards that goal of unanimity in aim!

To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we thus leave our children and the future, with shame!

PLEASE POST THIS TAG AS FOLLOWS: ON YOUR eMAILS & BLOGS, FORUM POSTINGS & MAILINGS – GET THE MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE IT IS OUR BEST HOPE AS WHOEVER IS APPOINTED WILL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE AS PROVED!

I SUGGEST – since there is clearly no political party of repute, advocating or campaigning to Leave-The-EU for these United Kingdoms and restoration of our independent sovereign, democracy, with Justice & the right to self determination in a free country & minded that membership of The EU is sucking out the life blood and identity of our Country in a counter patriotic manner and at a cost in hard cash of some £53 Million a day we must consider:

Denying the self seeking & meaningless wanabe MEPs and the no longer relevant MPs the Mythical Mandate for which they clamour.

Diktat is imposed from The EU but Law should be made at Westminster, for our Country & our Peoples by the peoples of our Country.

It is time that the entire mechanism of governance in these United Kingdoms, which has so clearly failed our Country and our peoples, was radically overhauled and updated to democratic status – failure to change will mean when we Leave-The-EU and/or it finally collapses, as it surely will, we will be no better off as the self same self styled, self enriching clique will be all too willing to betray us as they have done relative to The EU and its fore runners.

Hi,
yet again Nikki Sinclaire‘s team make a huge effort to support the cause of Leave-The-EUAnother huge and impressive first for Team Sinclaire where the first huge ‘RESULT’ was presenting a petition of well over 100,000 signatures and a supporting poll delivered to Downing Street and registered at Parliament forcing Parliament to have a full blown debate on Britain’s relationship and the majority view that we will be ‘Better-Off-Out‘.That was a year ago and then a new petition was delivered on Thursday this week with another 100,000 signatures demanding an IN / OUT Referendum under the slogan ‘LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE‘.This latest petition was written up as an article in The Sun last Sunday and in The Express on Monday and also covered in The Sun editorial. Also covered in other media. (The articles can be viewed and read in previous blogs on this site).

This petition is once again given gravitas and supported by a poll showing 56% of the electorate want an IN / OUT Referendum and 71% do NOT trust their own politicians on issues relative to the EU.
Now today we note the new announcement in The Sun and trailed yesterday based upon a leak on my Twitter!

EU vote party takes on Cameron

Referendum … or they fight ALL Euro seats

EXCLUSIVE
By DAVID WOODING, Associate Political Editor
Published: 1 hr ago
Katie Hopkins
 Candidate … Katie Hopkins from The Apprentice

CAMPAIGNERS fighting for a referendum over Britain’s EU membership have formed a party to take on the Tories.

Candidates have been lined up to stand in the European elections unless PM David Cameron offers a straight in-or-out vote.

TV’s Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins is among those who will fight all 73 UK seats for the single-issue “We Demand A Referendum Party”.

It is a major headache for the PM — as a poll showed it could win enough popular support to wipe out the Tories.

It has been set up by the campaign which last week handed a 100,000-name petition to Number 10. A third of adults said they would vote for it in the 2014 Euro elections, according to a YouGov poll. That would make it the largest British group in the parliament.

It is seen as the rebirth of Sir James Goldsmith’s Referendum Party, which cost the Tories dear in the 1997 General Election. It is even using Sir James’s slogan for its ballot paper listing: “Let the people decide.”

Mrs Hopkins said: “Our Government is frightened of asking the question about whether we want to be in or out of Europe because they’re frightened that they’ll not like the answer.”

– EX-Chancellor Lord Lamont dealt a blow to the PM as he said the Tories were more popular after Black Wednesday 20 years ago — when the UK left the European Exchange Rate Mechanism — than today.

to view the original article CLICK HERETo view more details on this issue view my preceding blogs and also:To quote The Sun’s columnist Toby Young:

 Jose Manuel Barroso, the unelected leader of the EC, announced to a stunned European Parliament on Wednesday that he would bring forward plans for a fiscal, economic and political union before the next European elections.

That means changes to the European Union’s treaties could be set in motion at any point after June 8, 2014, something that would automatically trigger a vote in the United Kingdom as a result of the “referendum lock” in the 2011 EU Act.

It’s no secret that David Cameron is hoping to put off a referendum until after our next General Election, not least because it would rupture the Coalition and divide his own party. But following Barroso’s speech he probably won’t have a choice. For Eurosceptics like me, this is fantastic news.

I’ve long held the view that the sooner we have a referendum on our continuing membership of the EU, the better.

MEP NIKKI SINCLAIRE FOUNDS NEW POLITICAL MOVEMENT

Leading Activisys of New Movement

A NEW A new political movement has been launched to allow British people the opportunity to demand a referendum at the European Elections in 2014.
It comes in the wake of a YouGov opinion poll that shows a third of UK adults said they would ignore party loyalty to vote for an entity whose sole manifesto was to urge for a straight forward In-Out referendum.
The movement has been registered with the Electoral Commission as “We Demand a Referendum” and will carry the slogan imbedded in the emblem from Jimmy Goldsmith’s Referendum Party of “Let the People Decide”.
“We Demand a Referendum” has been set up by the Campaign for a Referendum team that delivered two petitions totalling more than 220,000 signatures to Downing Street and also forced a parliamentary debate last year that led to a huge Tory rebellion.
It is a single-issue political body that challenges David Cameron to call an In-Out referendum by 2014.
A YouGov poll last week showed that 65% of Tory voters want a referendum – much more than the average of 56% from all voters.
“We Demand a Referendum” will be fielding candidates in every region of the country and could take between eight and 22 seats in the European Elections, according to the YouGov poll commissioned by the body’s chairman – West Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire.

Katie Hopkins and Nikki Sinclaire MEP
One of those candidates will be former Apprentice star Katie Hopkins who will be the lead candidate in the South West. Katie will need only 10% of the vote to be elected under the system used in the election.
All candidates will share a single aim – to force a decisive referendum on the issue of Europe by sending a strong message to the government ahead of the General Election in 2015.
“The Politicians have failed the people on the EU,” said Nikki Sinclaire.

“Promise after promise has been broken by all parties and it is time for the people to empower themselves and demand a referendum!

“Why are they so afraid of the people? Why won’t they let us decide? And why do they continue to patronise us with their ‘we know better’ attitude?”

TV personality and businesswoman Katie Hopkins added: “Sometimes tough questions have to be asked.

“I often hear people say ‘I didn’t ask because I was frightened I might not like the answer’ and I think this is true for the referendum on Europe.

“I believe that our government is frightened of asking the question about whether we want to be in or out of Europe, because they are frightened that they will not like the answer.”

Katie added: “The importance of forcing an EU referendum is far bigger than any party. We strive to go beyond party politics and, as our campaign slogan says, we want to Let the People Decide!”

We Demand a Referendum will hold its inaugural conference at Westminster Central Hall in London on Friday October 5.

 YOUGOV POLL:

Candidates from the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats, UK Independence Party and other parties will be standing in the 2014 European Elections. However, suppose a new political entity was set up for these elections and their only policy was to demand a referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union.
How likely, if at all, would it be that you support this new, single issue entity in the 2014 European Elections only?

All figures, unless otherwise stated, are from YouGov Plc.  Total sample size was 1,474 adults. Fieldwork was undertaken between 4th – 5th September 2012.  The survey was carried out online. The figures have been weighted and are representative of all GB adults (aged 18+).

I have commented:

Hi,

please can you supply a URL for the YouGov Poll with all its details – thanks.

Congratulations to you and your team for your latest petition and poll and for this new launch of your group as a mono issue party seeking votes on the primal issue of democracy and a demand for an IN / OUT referendum relative to EU membership which underpins every aspect of our lives and costs each of us £6,000 a year and a direct cost of £35,000 a minute every minute of the year!

Time to enforce The UN fundamental Human Right of ‘Self Determination’ and vote to Leave-The-EU.

Welcome to Katie Hopkins, George Hargreaves (Christian Party?), Martin Harvey (who used to pay Marta Andreasen’s salary for UKIP, until he was abused by Farage & saw through the cherade and Marta Andreasen’s lies, dishonesty & corruption no doubt!).

AND of course well done to the rest of Team Sinclaire incl. Josh O’Nions the campaign manager from the start.

Hi,

what an achievement, without the backing of a party, to put together a campaign that has delivered almost 1/4Million signatures so far and to do that when UKIP leadership have lied, defamed and attempted to sabotage every step of the way.Well done Nikki Sinclaire and here team and it is good to see further support from Britain’s largest circulation newspaper after the great coverage on Sunday now we have this first class article today:

To get 1/3rd. of a page on The Sun’s editorial pageis a fantastic boost for Nikki Sinclaire’s campaign and that The Sun generously included her campaign details and her office phone numbers has, I understand from my contacts, had her staff working flat out to try to cope with a sudden boost of phone calls all day, running to 1,000s!
Katie Hopkins joining the campaign has given it an inspired newsworthyness ensuring coverage and overcoming the concern that this is a similar story to that which Nikki Sinclaire achieved last year with her 100,000 signature petition delivered to Downing Street.

The petition which forced the Government into a full House of Commons debate, and the embarrassing rebellion of 111 MPs, who voted against the Government position of betrayal of Britain to foreign and totally alien rule, with the massive costs at a time of austerity and the huge influx of extra aliens to house and mouths to feed, when the economy is struggling & jobs are hard to find!

& the top up further 20,000 delivered shortly afterwards!This time the petition is not just for a Referendum but for the the demand ‘Let The People Decide’ – with calls for a full and fair Royal Commission and a similar undertaking to the Irish Court decision that such a referendum MUST have equal funding and equal media coverage for both sides in an In / Out referendum on membership of The EU.
If YOU want to help the campaign and add your signature and ensure you are on the database for news letters and magazines:

Go To: www.HaveYourSay.eu

OR

Phone: 0800 – 157 7916

PLEASE don’t call on Thursday 13-Sep-2012

as the team will be particularly over stretched, as they will all be with Nikki Sinclaire, Katie Hopkins and others delivering the 100,000 signature petition to Downing Street, where they are scheduled at 11:50hrs.

We can expect important announcements and coverage this weekend based on the news reporting.

It is probable that Thursday’s coverage will be slightly less than it might have been, as papers give extensive coverage to the Government’s excellent efforts in delivering The Hillsborough Report, and announcing The Attorney General is to ensure that finally Justice is delivered, after 23 years, to the loved ones of the 96 who died on that tragic day; so despicably twisted, covered up and abused by The Police and other agencies.

We welcome the fact that despite the fact that Justice delayed is Justice denied finally there is hope of Justice for all those who were at Hillsborough that day.

Interestingly Nikki Sinclaire is not just a football fan and football sponsorer but also a Liverpool fan who was at the fateful Hillsborough game 23 years ago!I do believe that despite The EU funding fudge, by Germany’s Constitutional Courts, that delivered the fudge as predicted, earlier today.

And the idiotic speech of Jose Manuel Barroso, compiling all his tired old speeches and failed policies, that we have come to expect from this unelected functionary, with his self important and self serving ‘demands’ and communistic socialist mantras.
And Angela Merkels desperate attempts to stay in the saddle in the debate in the German Parliament.

ALL today competing with Nikki Sinclaire’s campaign for publicity – I do believe that the media will be back on track, covering the Nikki Sinclaire campaign and Katie Hopkin’s efforts, at the weekend and there are already TV and other media slots arranged for the weekend and next week.

Lets not forget that Katie Hopkins is no newcomer to politics and we can expect her to take an outspoken measured and clear leading role in the South West in EU matters.

Katie Hopkins mauy even possibly even win a seat as an MEP in the next EU elections! Let us not forget that when she stood as an Independent in 2009 she achieved the second highest vote ever obtained by an Independent – having joined up with Team Sinclaire with a clear message she just might be elected, despite no sitting MEP to fill the shoes of!

 ‘Vote Katie’ for MEP

Published: 10th May 2009
MANEATING former Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins is running for MEP.

The ex-Army girl and Met Office worker, 33, is standing under the banner of Katie Olivia Hopkins Independent Party.

Nikki Sinclaire’s success & Poll feature in The Express

Clean EUkip up NOW & make UKIP electable!

The corruption of some of EUkip’s leadership, their anti UKIP claque & the NEC is what gives the
remaining 10% a bad name!

Nikki Sinclaire’s successfull petition & the Poll she organise, showing 56% of British adults want an In /Out Referendum and 71% of the electorate do NOT trust politicians relative to The EU has now featured in The Express!

.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
Nikki Sinclaire seems to be maintaining her efforts both on behalf of her constituents with such issues as illegal developements and the squatters in flagrant abuse of planning laws and the interests of local rate payers and her intransigent opposition to the idiocy of HS2.
Her role on a National basis is just as laudable with her team having obtained a further 100,000 signatures demanding the democratic right to an IN / OUT referendum on the issue of EU membership.
Let us not forget that UKIP with all the support it could call on failed abysmally to even manage the petition they all too readily accepted £250,000 of tax payers’ money and campaigned to raise further funds.
Nigel Farage, David Lott & Mark Croucher made much of organising that incident which seemingly turned out to be nothing more than a money making scam – as not only was no petition ever presented but worse still no accounting was ever made of the money nor valid petition material ever produced.
It was widely believed that the money was trousered by the so called organisers and no evidence was seemingly ever produced to the contrary!
Nikki Sinclaire has, on the other hand conducted 2 petitions both of which she funded and gained support from others on the way msking the petition which obtained a debate of the full House of Commons very much cross party in collection of the signatures and more notably by gaining the support of various political party’s MPs and elected members.
This time she has branched out and has the support of known politicians and has also brought on board Katie Hopkins and others.
The news of her 100,000 signatures and that she had brought Katie Hopkins into her campaign was a closely guarded secret, until the announcement in an article in yesterdays Sun newspaper and in the editorial see CLICK HERE
.
Good to see the publicity Nikki Sinclaire had in The Sun on Sunday has been picked up by The Express on Monday.
    PUBLIC DEMAND EUROPE VOTE
The poll was commissioned by Independent Euro MP Nikki Sinclaire
The poll was commissioned by Independent Euro MP Nikki Sinclaire
Monday September 10,2012
By Macer Hall
MORE than half of all voters want a national referendum on whether the UK should cut its ties with Brussels, an opinion poll found yesterday.
A total of 56 per cent of people quizzed in the YouGov survey wanted to be given a say on “whether or not Britain remains a member of the European Union”.
And a massive 71 per cent admitted they did not trust politicians to work for the best interests of the UK in the EU.
The latest indication of the growing demand for the first referendum on Britain’s links with Brussels since 1975 last night added to the huge pressure on the Prime Minister.
It will also fuel support for the Daily Express crusade for the country to leave the EU. But David Cameron has repeatedly blocked calls for an in-or-out referendum, and insists that Britain should remain in the EU.
The poll was commissioned by Independent Euro MP Nikki Sinclaire, who has launched the Campaign for a Referendum.
ì
People across the nation are calling for a referendum. This is the most important issue this country faces
î
Nikki Sinclaire
She is due to deliver a 100,000-name petition demanding a vote to Downing Street on Thursday.
Ms Sinclaire, who represents the West Midlands, said: “People across the nation are calling for a referendum. This is the most important issue this country faces.”
The YouGov poll of 1,474 voters found that only 28 per cent were opposed to a referendum.
Last November, a Commons motion calling for an EU referendum was narrowly defeated, but Mr Cameron faced a huge rebellion as 79 Tories backed the demand.
To view the original article CLICK HERE
It is astonishing to behold the band wagon jumping of UKIP as they try desperately, in the comments section, to try to climb on Nikki Sinclaire’s hard won and hard worked for achievements.
It is sad to see how UKIP supporters have been betrayed by their leadership team who have done so much to try to denigrate Sinclaire and have lied about her, bullied and defamed her and even it seems tried to set her up with the police, using false evidence and criminal false witness, or so it seems from the facts at CLICK HERE – I guess with low life dishonest & corrupt trash like this in UKIP CLICK HERE & HERE & also HERE one becomes aware UKIP is very much a part of the EU problem having achieved nothing of value to Leave-The-EU in 20 years it is increasingly irrelevant.
Whilst Nikki Sinclaire just ploughs on working for her constituents and to seek to Leave-The-EU UKIP seemingly sell the positions on MEP lists and even on the NEC – some for notoriety like the failures of politics like the Hamiltons, David Bannerman and those willing to pay fees to participate in elections.
Considering UKIP just how many members of the leadership team does one need to provide with sexual favours to gain a position not just in the bed but on the MEP lists. One wonders when they are swanning about what order it is best to prostitute oneself with perhaps Gawain Towler for the PR value and then Farage and subsequently Helmer – if one is into alfresco in the street perhaps a session with Godfrey Bloom would help or for a fuller opportunitya relationship with a campaign manager may help.
On the subject of campaign managers I note that Chris Bruni-Lowe has parted company with UKIP after taking fuller advantage of the assorted bicycles on offer in the UKIP stud we are reliably told – one wonders what take on this Malcolm Pearson takes! Farage’s ire is all too apparent!
There has been a fairly constant smear campaign against the rather too libidinous campaigner from a member of UKIP’s leadership team who felt challenged, if not threatened, in their position, one assumes!
In terms of professionalising the party one can only find humour in the comment:
Trying to work with UKIP is like working with fred Karno’s Army
The parting shot of Katie Snape, who has seemingly left UKIP in disgust, after the great self congratulation from UKIP leadership when she joined the staff from Sky news team in a couple of months ago!
One has to wonder how UKIP and its cowardly muppets sheltering behind anonymity finds polls to quote claiming they are gaining so many supporters and percentages around 12% when they consistently do so badly in real ballot box results in domestic elections where they struggle to get 5% in the seats they manage to stand in!
Just how can pollsters be so consistently wrong about UKIP? When UKIP has proved it is so consistently an irrelevance when it comes to the campaign to Leave-The-EU.
Regards,
Greg_L-W..
NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.
Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.
The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU’s CAP – In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING towards that goal of unanimity in aim!
To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we thus leave our children and the future, with shame!
PLEASE POST THIS TAG AS FOLLOWS: ON YOUR eMAILS & BLOGS, FORUM POSTINGS & MAILINGS – GET THE MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE IT IS OUR BEST HOPE AS WHOEVER IS APPOINTED WILL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE AS PROVED!
I SUGGEST – since there is clearly no political party of repute, advocating or campaigning to Leave-The-EU for these United Kingdoms and restoration of our independent sovereign, democracy, with Justice & the right to self determination in a free country & minded that membership of The EU is sucking out the life blood and identity of our Country in a counter patriotic manner and at a cost in hard cash of some £53 Million a day we must consider:
Denying the self seeking & meaningless wanabe MEPs and the no longer relevant MPs the Mythical Mandate for which they clamour.
Diktat is imposed from The EU but Law should be made at Westminster, for our Country & our Peoples by the peoples of our Country.
It is time that the entire mechanism of governance in these United Kingdoms, which has so clearly failed our Country and our peoples, was radically overhauled and updated to democratic status – failure to change will mean when we Leave-The-EU and/or it finally collapses, as it surely will, we will be no better off as the self same self styled, self enriching clique will be all too willing to betray us as they have done relative to The EU and its fore runners.
Hi,
congratulations to Nikki Sinclaire’s campaign YET AGAIN.
Today Nikki Sinclaire’s campaign for a Referendum and the belief that when it comes to surrendering our Governance to a foreign and very alien power the slogan must be ‘Let The People decide’.
Nikki Sinclaire has already obtained 100,000 signatures to her petition and forced HM Government to hold a full debate on Britain’s status and possible withdrawl from the EU.
Now again her campaign to ‘Let The People Decide’ has obtained a further DIFFERENT new 100,000 signatures which will be handed in at Downing Street on Thursday where together with Katie Hopkins who is to be a front runner in Nikki Sinclaire’s campaign other political names will be joining them in support of the new poll which I believe she commissioned.
The Sun features this on page 6 today in the editions seen to date – let us hope it is picked up by the daily papers to force a Government Referendum of the people to show we live in a democracy rather than an EU supra National centralised committee dictatorship as we all now know from the polls that 6 out of every 10 adults in Britain want a referendum on IN or OUT of The EU.
It is then up to all of us to ensure the question and the campaigning is fair, honest and on a level playing field as we are, it seems, all agreed by a majority of 71% that we can NOT trust the politicians on issues of The EU.
Six out of 10 demand vote on staying in EU
By DAVID WOODING, Associate Political Editor
Published: 9 hrs ago
THE Campaign for a Referendum on Britain’s EU membership was given a double boost yesterday.
A poll showed growing support for a national vote on the issue.
And 100,000 people signed a petition backing the call. It echoes growing frustration with more and more powers being handed over to Brussels.
Six out of ten adults said they would welcome a chance to decide whether we quit Europe.
This is twice the number opposed to a straight in-out referendum. Voters have also lost faith in politicians to work for our best interests in Europe.
About 71 per cent don’t trust MEPs to put our country first, according to the YouGov poll. It compares with 23 per cent who have any trust in our politicians.
An overwhelming 56 per cent want the chance to vote on whether we stay in or pull out of Europe, while 28 per cent don’t.The Campaign for a Referendum will march on Downing Street this week with 100,000 signatures demanding a vote.
Katie Hopkins, star of TV’s The Apprentice, will join MEP Nikki Sinclaire and the delegation handing over the petition. Nikki said: “Isn’t it about time that we let the people decide?”
To view the original article CLICK HERE
There is also a portion of the editorial in The Sun which is dedicated to the campaign:
Congratulations to Nikki Sinclaire and her team who have worked steadily towards this goal despite the vile behaviour of UKIP with their proven lies and undeniable abuse of her efforts – most probably brought about by the fact that UKIP leadership have NEVER managed to organise anything of consequence in 20 years that wortk to Leave-The-EU and are clearly acting in self interest towards self enrichment at the expense of and greatly damaging the EU EUroSceptic movement with their corruption, fraud, thefts, lies and playground bullying and criminal abuse of anyone who dares to expose their corruption and self serving behaviour!
Welcome to Katie Hopkins who looks as if she will prove a massive asset to the campaign.
Now we must step up the education of the people to make them aware of just how hugely better off these United Kingdoms and our peoples will be when we Leave-The-EU – and wer must be prepared for a huge amount of hard work to obtain our liberty – the struggle will not be easy as we will have to unseat a veritable army of free loaders feeding at the troughs on the gravy train at the expense of our Country and OUR taxes.
Never forget THEY WORK FOR YOU and if they all worked as hard as Nikki Sinclaire we would not be in the dire economic situation we now are entraped as vassals of The EU!
Here are the outline facts of one of Nikki Sinclaire’s other fights for justice for her constituents CLICK HERE she is not JUST actively campaigning across Britain for a Referendum on IN/OUT of The EU there seem to be many other causes she is working for – UKIP as a party seems only to ever make an effort to get themselves elected and then does little.
OK to be fair UKIP did have a tent at Usk show yesterday and David Rowlands and a couple of rather bored looking helpers were there on every occasion I passed the tent (several) there was never more than on member of the public who had been collared but UKIP has made very little impact in Wales and is virtually runner up to Scotland for its failure to have an impact and one never hears of John bufton in the public eye and frankly some of its councillors are hugely more harm to UKIP than they are a benefit ill mannered, odious self important bnere do wells like Kevin Mahoney whose abusive behaviour is noted on public forums  – just who else is there of any note? As I recall they only have 3 elected councillors in the whole of Wales an Zero members of The National Ass and an MEP who pops up in Brussels occasionally gabbling away listened to and reported by nobody it seems!
The corruption of EUkip’s leadership
their anti UKIP claque in POWER & the NEC
is what gives the remaining 10% a bad name!
.
Seems Mike Nattrass  has finally Quit UKIP – having quite some time ago rejected the pretence at leadership of Nigel Farage he and Trevor Colman quit his sordid extremist EFD Group of racists, xenophobes and EUroPhiles seeking reform & rewards!!
.
PLEASE NOTE UPDATE 15-Aug-2012 11:00hrs.:
~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
I had always believed only a clown would try to ride two horses – first we had the gullible fool Robert Kilroy Silk who fell for the lies of Nigel Farage, who promised him leadership of UKIP, to get him to support the party – A promise not within Farage’s ‘gift’. For a brief period RKS tried to ride two horses but ended up falling off both.
Similarly we had the liar and fraud David Bannerman currying favour with both The Tories & UKIP to gain a seat as an MEP – Farage grabbed at the publicity  but Bannerman seeing his lies had worn thin and with an OLAF inquiry into his fraudulent use of public money fled to The Tories seeking preferment for his betrayal.
Bannerman will shortly find having betrayed one party and then the other he ends up rejected by both as dishonourable, duplicitous, corrupt and totally untrustworthy.
Now, despite other such clowns willing to ride any horse to be on the gravy train such as Marta Andreassen, who touted herself around various parties and lied to get herself on the gravy train.
Let us consider Mike Nattrass!
He Does Have Some Political Sense
I’m told!
I note after various efforts to drag UKIP’s reputation in the mire he did have one act of integrity and refused to follow the demands of his Party leader Nigel Farage and quit the vile Pan EU EFD Political Group with its racism, xwenophobia, criminals, anti Judaism, anti homosexual and other extremist practices.
There was hope that Mike Nattrass was finally acting honourably and would be thrown out of UKIP together with his chum, the near invisible and utterly irrelevant self serving Trevor Coleman as clever Trevor had also stood down from the odious Farage group.
Nikki Sinclaire had acted exactly the same but shown leadership in quitting the group and was thrown out of UKIP – however it was later established in Court that this was more a matter of anti homosexuality, petty jealousy and inadequacy on the part of Farage, Bloom and UKIP – so found the Court!
UKIP, Farage & Bloom were found guilty and you may well remember the published apology to Nikki Sinclaire in an effort to deffer High Court Action by her against these named individuals and organisations.
Were Nattrass & Coleman banned from the party – NO, there was a classic act of different standards Sinclaire was banned from the party but whether due to gender or some other terms the same punishment was not meter out to Coleman or Nattrass, and nor it seems was such a stance taken against the Spanish MEP when she openly called for Farage’s resignation in an open letter on the grounds of his incompetence that had led to the catastrophic results he achieved in the local elections!
Now I note Mike Nattrass isn’t even a member of UKIP he has opted out with a wimper rather than a fanfare of integrity – he has quietly moved on and is now the leader of another party and clearly he can not lead one party whilst being a member of another – this is even clearer an effort to hedge his bets than Oddly Ratkinson’s position with his own group when he made a bid to become leader of UKIP!
I was interested to note Mike Nattrass’ new party as listed on The Electoral Commission’s web site at:
If YOU find the Commission’s web site too beset with jargon and interlinking pages perhaps this screen capture will help:

So its official then!

Mike Nattrass has betrayed the electorate and quit UKIP but seems not to have been man enough to tell people – do we now expect some half baked threat of legal action claiming that I have libelled him like the fool he made of himself threatening The Sunday Times when they published the details of him being under investigation by OLAF, which he was!

Just as Mike Nattrass is listed as leader of his own political party.

Presumably he has conveniently forgotten to inform his electorate and maybe not even his staff!

I wonder what Nigel Farage’s view on this little chaps having set up in opposition is!

I doubt Mike will think it worth coming back from his long summer holiday in his villa in Portugal, where he spends much of his time rather than work in his constituency to Leave-The-EU, to promote his new party.

I wonder, in view of the name of Mike Nattrass’ new party, whether when he does emerge to do some work if he will follow the example of Nigel Farage and try to piggy back on the efforts made by Nikki Sinclaire to ensure a full debate on the aim to Leave-The-EU in Parliament or the gathering of a consequential number of signatures to keep the concept of an IN / OUT Referendum to Leave-The-EU.

Of course had UKIP been fit for purpose it might be wise to force the issue of a referendum rather than just keep embarrassing the government and keeping the flame of self determination, as a fundamental human right, alight – as Nikki Sinclaire most clearly has.

Is Nattrass hedging his bets to try to steal Sinclaire’s achievements to which he has, in fairness, contributed public money he had access to but beyond that his study in fence sitting seems over with his new party!
Clearly due to the abject failure of UKIP, particularly without competent, trustworthy or professional leadership, the chances of winning an IN / OUT Leave-The-EU Referendum are very low.
UKIP has failed to get the message out to the electorate and in 20 years have failed to even provide the reassurance of a sound exit and survival strategy – UKIP under Farage’s misguidance has even allied itself with extremists in EU politics who amongst other things welcome membership of The EU and seek to make some reforms!
I look forward to reading Mike Nattrass’ new party manifesto – it should be quite funny with his mangled English and endless anger at anyone who dares to question him or his lack of logic!
.

Regards,

Greg_L-W.

UPDATE 15-Aug-2012 11:00hrs.:

Nikki Sinclaire has NOT been thrown out of UKIP merely forced out of her elected office of UKIP MEP and lied about, bullied and attacked by UKIP leadership and its parasites.
Nikki Sinclaire now sits as an Independent MEP and NOT a UKIP MEP and is thus to all intent and purpose thrown out of UKIP though her membership continues all be it in name only.

I gather there are claims that Mike Nattrass is similarly still a UKIP member though he too sits as an independent MEP independent of UKIP with Nikki Sinclairte & Trevor Coleman.

I understand Mike Nattrass, presumably to maintain Farage’s income is allowed to set up and register a political party in opposition to UKIP – or as UKIP would claim of anyone seeking to Leave-The-EU but not under their rather sordid banner of corruption and lies – A Spoiler Party!
(as the UKFirstParty was deemed; despite its honourable intentions to provide an open honest and accountable democratic party to Leave-The-EU without the corruption that is omni present in UKIP & for some rendered UKIP unfit for purpose such that an alternative was clearly needed, particularly with liars and cheats like Mick McGough, David Bannerman etc. in The Eastern Region – Though I question how successful they were in the light of the involvement of Peter Cole, Tom Wise & Bruce Lawson or the undertakings of Trevor Colman, though most of the others would seem to have been unaware of this and of honest intent.)

Clearly whatever the paperwork may claim it is clearly dishonest for UKIP to claim Nattrass & Sinclaire are members in anything but name, as they with Trevor Coleman have rejected the leadership of UKIP, and refuse to sit with UKIP or associate with UKIP’s extremist, racist, anti Jewish, anti homosexual and anti Islamist group which includes various individuals with criminal records for assault, Holocaust Denial and similar offences and a number who have been found guilty of fraudulent use of public money and/or are still under investigation for same.

Please accept my apology for stating the realities rather than the minisculism and pedantry of the internal machinations of UKIP & misleading detail 😉

On the same logic let us remember that Tom Wise UKIP MEP was similarly NEVER thrown out of UKIP and despite what were outright lies from Nigel Farage, repeatedly made on the media – Tom Wise remained in UKIP as a member, and was asked by letter to renew his membership in the February of his last year as an MEP, responding with a written refusal, which we have published elsewhere on our blogs.

My failure to provide every last detail will clearly be misrepresented by the liars and scoundrels in UKIP to desperately imply I have deliberately lied – I apologise for stating the facts in insufficient detail and clearly there was no intent to mislead, as the detail did not materially alter the facts.

G.L-W.

Hi,

Niall Warry

Niall Warry

Niall with a career interspersed between service in the British Army in Britain, including Northern Ireland seeking to try to keep the peace  by control of the power struggles of the criminal gangs, and in Canada, with The Royal Green Jackets and The Welsh Regiment retired after 10 years as a regular and went on to 14 years of service in The TA as a Major.

Some of his service was concurrent with 25 years experience in corporate management, as a Regional Manager for Bass.

The first serious political involvement was with Jimmy Goldsmith‘s Referendum Party as a candidate in 1997.

Since then Niall has stood as a candidate in General Elections and became Chairman of what was UKIP Wales for a period. Due to his wife’s death and relocation to Gloucestershire Niall resigned as Chairman of UKIP Wales handing it on having laid the groundwork and formed the structure that led subsequently to the election of John Bufton as a UKIP MEP.

Relocation led to becoming became Branch Chairman of Cheltenham. In this position he organised UKIP’s annual summer party & open day at Jamie Needpath’s (now Lord Kneedpath) – a hugely successful event during the time when UKIP seemed to have some relevance or at least some hope!

Sadly since 2004 UKIP would seem to have achieved absolutely nothing of any consequence in terms of Leave-The-EU.

It was during this period that Niall Warry was appointed to a general managership in UKIP Head Office in Birmingham, but in seeking to structure sound and transparent procedures and finances he fell foul of the corruption in UKIP leadership and did not have his contract confirmed when the probationary period was over.

Hence even now, years later, he is attacked by the corrupt whom he upset – The institutionalised corruption of UKIP became all too apparent when the Treasure Andrew Smith blocked meetings with him though Andrew Smith resigned in opprobrium a little later leaving his bag man the liar Mick McGough to try to cover his flight!

Niall Warry was dishonestly suspended from Farage’s Party for seeking integrity in the party and even this had to be reversed for fear of High Court action which UKIP would almost certainly have lost!

It is sad that since 2004 UKIP has achieved so very little of consequence, with such great opportunities, but much in terms of bad publicity, self enrichment for the leadership claque, placement of some particularly inept and unpleasant staff and numerous cases of Fraud.

Frauds and other odious behaviour which has all too often been denied with the only defence being to attack those who publish the facts!

The frauds etc. have been or are being investigated by OLAF & or The British Police – several orders to repay money fraudulently obtained and used, a prison sentence for one MEP who abused his position of trust and lied to try to wriggle out of his theft ending up in prison so far and of course liars like Derek Clark who tried to con his regional committee into the belief that first of all he was not under investigation and then that Junius & I had lied and made it up and then when proven guilty lied to pretend he was not found guilty.

It is this sort of corrupt behaviour that Niall Warry decided to disassociate himself from so that he could, like myself and others, carry on the patriotic fight  to Leave-The-EU untramelled and unassociated with the pro EU membership reformist stance of Farage’s squalid little clique and its claque.

As a dedicated EUroRealist of many years standing Niall Warry, with no realistic expectation of success at such short notice but with the aim of raising the EU issue stood as an INDEPENDENT Leave-the-EU Alliance PPC in Somerton & Frome in the General Election and was supported by his partner Angela.

A fortunate decision in the long run as the bufoon leading UKIP whilst Farage ‘showed off & came a dismal 3rd. in Buckinghamshire, betrayed the party by waiting until the last minute and calling on UKIP’s candidate to withdraw and support The Tories!
Organisational skills and propensity for listing the work we all have to do makes Niall a natural Leader, bringing his military organisational skills to bear and those of a regional manager for Bass over 25 years!

It is not just that I have known Niall Warry well for almost 15 years that I have offered him a ‘Guest Posting’ but that he has proved to be consistently honest and a dedicated and patriotic EUroReal;ist for so very many years.

I also largely agree with the stance he takes on most issues:

Hi,
When the German papers start to question the Euro you know there is no doubt it is doomed ( see link below).
Sadly if you are relying on our National media for the REAL stories on the Euro crisis you are I’m afraid going to be disappointed.
Apart from the Express the rest editorially still believe we should remain in the EU and renegotiate our terms of membership.
What they fail to understand is that the existing EU treaties especially The Lisbon Constitution Treaty makes it impossible to renegotiate our terms without invoking Article 50 which declares you want to leave.
Only then will a country be able to negotiate with the EU about its terms of membership. No Article 50 no negotiations it really is that simple.
The truth is if you want to really understand what is happening in the EU you need to follow REAL experts like Richard North who along with Christopher Booker of the Daily Telegraph co-wrote the must read book ‘The Great Deception’.
Here is latest contribution from his blog today.   http://eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=82964
Although Richard’s blog is called EU Referendum it covers ALL the major items of news which concern us including the EU, Defence, Climate Change and British politics etc.
With regards to British politics Richard was the main speaker at a conference I organised on his behalf in Harrogate on the July 14th. There were 33 of us who all shared a belief that before things can be really be improved in our country then our current Parliamentary system of governance needs to be reformed.
As the Chartist had before in 1834 we produced a draft 6 demands in what became our ‘Harrogate Agenda’ and when fully developed and refined will become our ‘Harrogate Declaration’ for better governance.
Richard’s blog is being used as the vehicle for debate and hopefully we will have our Declaration finalised by this  Autumn.
If you are interested to follow the debate and indeed  read news analysis that is REAL then I highly recommend you read Richard North’s blog each day.
Niall Warry.
.
It is sad to realise just howmany individuals and activists of value, vision, integrity & patriotism have left UKIP since 2004 CLICK HERE and just how low grade has been both the achievements and the integrity of their replacements and how since 2004 they have moved from being so very many peoples’ hopes to lead the cause of Leave-The-EU to increasingly turn from torch bearer to damp squib as part of the problem rather than any realistic hope of leading to a solution.
