GP-RN: UKIP: Rochester ruminations

“The practice of sport is a human right!. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.” –Olympic Charter

There are times when it is reasonable to believe ‘Sport’ is not so much a right but an obligation by diktat!
However boring you may find sport: there are many who derive great vicarious pleasure from watching it – Particularly Women’s Beach Volleyball & Women’s Gymnastics; some even enjoy being a part of a baying mob at football games!

Hi,

000a Rochester-021 poll.jpg

I think the political quote of the week comes from the anonymous pundit who reported of Rochester and Strood: “Labour suffer crushing defeat by losing safe Conservative seat to Ukip”. But he only just caps Mr Eugenides, who tweets: “Stupid woman tweets photo of white van and flags, resigns. Stupid man calls for compulsory repatriation of legal EU residents, is elected”.

Turnout is reported at 50.67 percent, against 51.13 percent at Clacton. Reckless thus came in with 16,867 votes, representing 22.5 percent of the electorate – one in five of the voting public. This is significantly down on Clacton where Carswell took 30.5 percent of the popular vote. We are seeing  yet another failure of the Angry Party to set the election on fire.

That Ukip was going to win, though, has not been in doubt for some time, which means “death camp” Reckless the Repatriater is briefly returned as MP – albeit the indications are that the margin will not be as great as some expect.

His tenure will perhaps last only until the general election. But his move to Ukip will bring no tears from Peter Oborne. He describes the Repatriater as “a brutish and low-grade specimen who ought not have been permitted to stand in the Conservative interest”. His defection to Ukip nearly two months ago, Oborne adds, “reflected well on David Cameron’s Conservative Party, making it a better place”.

Interestingly, Reckless will be addressing the Bruges Group annual conference in London on Saturday. He was invited while he was still a Conservative MP and, if he turns up, will be able to put his views on his change of heart to a discerning audience.

By coincidence, this will be followed on the Monday by Owen Paterson, who is planning a major speech on the EU. Oborne expects Mr Paterson “to develop the argument that Britain’s future lies outside Europe”, and that may well be the case.

If Mr Paterson goes further and outlines details of how we should go about leaving the EU, he will be ramping up the pressure on UKIP which, after 20 years of existence, is still unable to deliver a coherent (or any) EU exit plan.

And, trailing in the wake of the Guardian, which led the fray in noting the great UKIP policy vacuum, we now see the Telegraph picking up the same thread. “The party can no longer get away with simply behaving like the outsiders of British politics”, the paper says, “free to dish out criticism but outraged when it is directed towards them”. It adds: “Over the next few months, their policies on every issue should be subjected to the closest possible scrutiny”.

This is an interesting observation. We have been known to remark the Ukip supporters, uniquely, seem to believe that their party should be immune from criticism. Now, the Telegraph lends its way to a counter view.

Meanwhile, we are being regaled with rumours of additional Conservative MPs deserting to the policy-free UKIP, maybe attracted by the relief of not having to remember what your party’s policies actually are.

However, we are now past the six month cut-off, which means there will be no more by-elections this side of the general. Any MPs who do jump ship and follow the Carswell-Reckless model in resigning their seats are likely to be out in the cold until May – or even longer – reduced to burning their rosettes.

At least, now, we are spared the sight of prancing politicians and prattling pundits giving us the benefit of their ignorance. Instead, we can revel in Mr Kelner’s claim that other parties haven’t a clue how to beat Ukip – until Monday, that is, when we may get an illustration of how policy trumps vacuum.

Hi, 264 119

that 264+ sheep were killed due to neglect, cruelty, starvation and lambs drowning in mud and the countrside was littered with 119 carcasses just abandoned to rot in one of Ukip’s prime target constituencies can hardly be seen as Ukip’s fault.

However that Ukip’s vetting procedure for their parliamentary candidates failed to pick up the facty that their candidate was living in such horrific squalor on his farm is very clearly Ukip’s fault!

Ex-UKIP candidate David Evans jailed for animal cruelty

A farmer who was set to stand as a UKIP candidate in Cornwall has been jailed for four months for animal cruelty.

David Evans, from Week St Mary, near Bude, was also banned from keeping sheep and ordered to pay costs of £714.

At Bodmin Magistrates’ Court, he admitted six charges of causing suffering and improperly storing carcasses.

Animal welfare officers described conditions at Evans’ 40-acre holding as the worst they had seen.

On 6 February, inspectors found 145 sheep in such a poor condition that they had to be put to sleep.

They also found 119 carcasses in various states of decay scattered across the farm.

The court heard Evans had ignored help and advice by both Cornwall Council and The Animal and Plant Health Agency in 2012.

After Thursday’s hearing, Jonathan McCulloch, who investigated the case, said: “In 15 years as an animal health inspector, this case is by far the worst I have ever experienced.

“Dead sheep were scattered across the farm, new born lambs had died after getting stuck in mud.

“Mr Evans had done very little to ensure the safety of his sheep.”

In October, when the case came to light, Evans was de-selected as the UKIP candidate for Camborne and Redruth, a marginal parliamentary seat held by the Conservatives.

Conservative MP George Eustice won the seat by 66 votes more than the closest Liberal Democrat rival in 2010.

UKIP views the constituency as key to the party’s electoral performance in 2015.

Evans has previously told BBC News he was “disappointed but not surprised” to be de-selected.

He said he felt he had not had a chance to tell his side of the story.

For the record the CPS defenition of Harassment, and examples in and by Ukip senior members & ‘dubious’ police!

.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
just for the record I thought it might be of help in the pursuit of the truth to note the OFFICIAL definition of Harassment as supplied by The CPS on their web page:
There is a great deal more information should you require it.
This does make it look very much as if the law is being abused by members of #Ukip in collusion with seem, by any standards, to be a collection of corrupt police officers.
It rather looks as if the ruse of threatening or bringing charges has been used, not with a view to seeking justice but with a view to suppressing discussion and facts – sheltered behind the all too frequently used pretence of the need for silence based upon ‘Sub Judice’! Is this a desperate move to try to hide criminal behaviour?
Harassment
In this legal guidance, the term harassment is used to cover the ‘causing alarm or distress’ offences under section 2 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 as amended (PHA), and ‘putting people in fear of violence’ offences under section 4 of the PHA. The term can also include harassment by two or more defendants against an individual or harassment against more than one victim.
Although harassment is not specifically defined in section 7(2) of the PHA, it can include repeated attempts to impose unwanted communications and contact upon a victim in a manner that could be expected to cause distress or fear in any reasonable person.
The definition of harassment was considered in Plavelil v Director of Public Prosecutions [2014] EWHC 736 (Admin), in which it was held that the repeated making of false and malicious assertions against a doctor in connection with an investigation by the GMC could amount to a course of harassment. The Court of Appeal rejected the argument that malicious allegations could not be oppressive if they could easily be rebutted.
A prosecution under section 2 or 4 requires proof of harassment. In addition, there must be evidence to prove the conduct was targeted at an individual, was calculated to alarm or cause him/her distress, and was oppressive and unreasonable.
Closely connected groups may also be subjected to ‘collective’ harassment. The primary intention of this type of harassment is not generally directed at an individual but rather at members of a group. This could include: members of the same family; residents of a particular neighbourhood; groups of a specific identity including ethnicity or sexuality, for example, the racial harassment of the users of a specific ethnic community centre; harassment of a group of disabled people; harassment of gay clubs; or of those engaged in a specific trade or profession.
Harassment of an individual can also occur when a person is harassing others connected with the individual, knowing that this behaviour will affect their victim as well as the other people that the person appears to be targeting their actions towards. This is known as ‘stalking by proxy’. Family members, friends and employees of the victim may be subjected to this.
For the original full CPS details of this CLICK HERE
I understand that notwithstanding the apparent abuse of law, as similarly used by the police use of terrorism laws to prosecute actions that have absolutely nothing to do with terrorism as with their defence for murders they carry out and assaults where they claim operational secrecy requirements to shelter their criminal actions and no rational or reasonable prosecution occurs viz the brutal police assault on the news paper vendor Ian Tomlinson, which resulted in his death or the totally iresponsible use of lethal force that led to the execution of Charles de Menenez on the London underground.
I gather that there have been around a dozen OFFICIAL complaints made regarding the abuse of the law and criminal nature of the treatment of Jasna Badzak – all with full evidence and clear provenance. One wonders what the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) will do to try to obfuscate their clearly documented involvement and wriggle out of prosecution!
As an example I yet again draw your attention to the fact that not only did Annabelle Fuller indubitably steal a Blackberry phone device, correspondence and a House of Commons Pass – which is clearly a ‘security issue’ but she has freely and openly admitted she stole the items from the flat of Andrew Bridgen MP.
I am given to understand that it is all too likely that in order to cloud the issue she invented the implausible allegation that she had been sexually assaulted by Andrew Bridgen despite the fact that they were in the presence of a responsible third party and desp[ite the fact that despite the early hours of the morning she made two phone calls to Nigel Farage!
Surely with the mass of compelling evidence they have it is the duty of the police to arrest and charge Annabelle Fuller. I make this comment of my views based on the fact that it was announced in the press that the police wwere making enquiries three weeks ago CLICK HERE and the fact she had stolen the items was knownon the day she was stopped by security leaving the building!
I understand that a very clear statement that Annabelle Fuller was targeting Andrew Bridgen outside the pub earlier that day was obtained from a senior Ukip elected member, which may explain some of the machinations currently taking placve to out individuals at the moment!
Just how long do the Met take to investigate a security crime?
Surely with the weight of evidence put before the authorities on this and many other matters it is time Ukip computers, Annabelle Fuller, Nigel Farage, Gerard Batten, John Moran, Douglas Denny and others were arrested, is it not, and just why havn’t they been?
Perhaps we will get some answers as a result of The Mayor of London’s Question time today where Boris Johnson is scheduled to be asked two specific questions related to these matters!
.
FARAGE & BADZAK, Jasna 01
The strange case of Jasna Badzak, Lee Jasper, Louise Mensch, UKIP and possible police corruption.
Jasna Badzak is a former UKIP press officer. She’s the last person who you’d expect would have anti-facist campaigners, MP’s, former colleagues of Ken Livingstone and people from the left and right coming out in defence of her.
Best to start at the beginning with Lee Jasper and this is from his blog explaining how he and Badzak first met.
Jasna Badzak is a former press officer for UKIP. She started work for Nigel Farage and Gerard Batten MEP in November 2010 and around a year ago; she was convicted of defrauding UKIP of some two thousand five hundred pounds in October 2013.  Around a year ago Jasna rang me seeking support for what she claimed, was a miscarriage of justice. I was intrigued and decided to meet Jasna.
It’s best to read Jasper’s first hand account of what he and Badzak were discussing as it’s quite complex, but the short version is that Badzak was convicted of fraud in October 2013 which was quite heavily covered in the right wing press. Badzak has claimed this was a miscarriage of justice which is where she contacts Jasper in order to get someone to hear her story which is she is the subject of a possible criminal conspiracy by members of the Metropolitan Police (who may have links to UKIP, the BNP and the EDL) and Gerard Batten, a UKIP MEP.
It’s fairly outlandish but I can understand why Badzak went to Jasper, than say, the likes of The Sun, as if she could get a left wing campaigner for equality to believe her, then she’d have an unlikely ally in taking on what at first seems like a fairly simple case of fraud, but when delved into deeper is much, much more worrying and affects freedom of speech for all of us.
If however she’s been framed because she was repulsed by Gerard Battens UKIPs Charter for Muslim Understanding, Dismantling Multiculturalism and that as claimed, she’s being targeted by officers in the Met with links to UKIP/EDL then that’s incredibly worrying. The allegations if the blog by Lee Jasper are extraordinary but this is only the start of it as the case has now been taken up by of all people, Louise Mensch who picked it up after Badzak was arrested for ReTweeting the Lee Jasper blog.
At this point it’s essential to read this blog from Mensch and take the implications of it in entirely. If this is true then not only has the Met lied to the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London, but is suppressing critics of UKIP and is acting on behalf of MEP’s to ensure that Badzak is silenced, and in terms of her fraud conviction, wrongfully have her convicted. Sadly, due to the fact that Badzak is a cardiac patient and is undergoing astonishing amounts of stress, she’s been left paralysed from the waist down thanks to this.
jasnabadzak
What I find astonishing is that Badzak and her supporters (which I fully admit to being one of) aren’t being nicked for posting the Lee Jasper blog, or harassed by police because of posting the Mensch blog. It’s as far as I know, it’s just the woman who may have proof that would show what UKIP are which is very clearly a party of the far right using corrupt police officers to enforce what they want which is suppressing debate.
I find it extraordinary that journalists who monitor Louise Mensch’s Twitter feed for every single fuck up (and I’ve made my opinion on Mensch clear in the past) haven’t picked up what she’s been Tweeting about, especially as it relates to UKIP and the media love stories about UKIP. This however could be one which has massive implications about the party, who it has connections with on the far right and the police and how they’re conducting themselves. Either it’s a case where journalists aren’t interested (which would be astonishing) or there’s something else holding them back from even mentioning this story. Whatever the reason I find it suspicious there’s nothing in the press.
This is a constantly updating story so I suggesting following Jasna Badzak and Louise Mensch on Twitter to see where this goes because if true, then some Met Officers and a UKIP MEP should be the one feeling the stress, not Jadna Badzak.
UPDATE 9th November
Mensch has updated her blog today which can be read here but essentially she has screenshots which show that one of the Met Officers, a James Galvin, supports UKIP on his Facebook page which isn’t enough to show he’s in the pocket of UKIP MEP’s, but it’s certainly enough to show a probably conflict of interest that at the very least should result in a public inquiry.
Also, I’ve now had it made clear to me that the story was offered to Channel 4 News and  other media organisations but nobody bothered to touch it. Considering that an effigy of Alex Salmond being burned made headline news while this massive miscarriage of justice has been left to flounder online I can only think that there’s people who don’t want to dig into something which frankly, could well bring UKIP down as well as further expose the Met for being a corrupt force open to abuse by its officers.
I need to also bring to light an anonymous comment left on this blog and highlight the implications made in it.
The implications are as follows: UKIP seems to have infiltrated the police. Further still, specialist officers in the financial crimes, serious crime and anti-terror sections have been involved in framing Jasna Badzak. There are many others who claim to be harassed by these specialist and elite police units including hounding by the Air Support Unit and CID from the Homicide and Major Crimes directorate. Many of these individuals are professional people who have not been involved in any criminal activities what so ever. They are in the construction industry, unionists or simply are targeted over personal matters as with Ian Puddick.
http://www.theduckshoot.com/ian-puddick-and-police-corruption-debated-in-the-uk-parliament/
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=ad1_1407946597&comments=1
The implication is that the Met are targeting people, including a number of activists, who they see as a ‘threat’ to whatever they’re trying to protect.Then I remembered this blog I stuck up back in May which mentions how a Green Party member by the name of Michael Abberton had a knock on the door for posting this image on his social media.
10reasonsukipfactchecked
In that case it was Cambridgeshire police but as much as I don’t like conspiracy theories or the nutters they attract, there’s something about all of what’s happening with UKIP and the police that screams of a genuine attempt to suppress debate and of course, the fact the party is now very firmly a far right party who clearly have authoritarian undertones.
In the case of Badzak, it seems that as Louise Mensch has said (and I find it astonishing I agree with her) that all of James Galvin’s convictions are unsafe, and that he should also be investigated for corruption which should include his links to UKIP and the far right. If the police have people working within it essentially working for the far right (which I include UKIP as firmly being of the far right) then it’s down to the Fourth Estate to pull their head out their arses and expose this because if it’s dismissed, or forgotten about there’s going to be irreparable damage to the joke that is democracy within the UK.
We published our doubts about this case with extensive details at the time of Jasna Badzak’s original trial.
BADZAK, Jasna 01
We also published details of Ukip’s agents corrupt efforts to silence/bankrupt me by claiming over £100,000 for using a well circulated Ukip publicity photo of Nigel Farage standing in a large puddle at a building site which they tried to pass of as a fishing photo:
FARAGE, Nigel awash 01 publicity pic co CROUCHERLooks all too like a display of the degree of corruption in Ukip.
The Courts found in my favour and ordered Ukip’s agent to pay my costs. To date Ukip have shown nothing but contempt for British justice defaulting on payment of around £13,500 + years of interest!
WISE, Tom 04 MEP
It was also myself that exposed the embezzeling of public funds by Tom Wise on my web site. We now know that Tom Wise assisted Nigel Farage by giving him £Thousands, which he KNEW was part of the fraudellently obtained money – was this why Farage NEVER threw Tom Wise out of Ukip?
It was my blog and postings on the corrupt Anthony Butcher’s forum which repeatedly published details of Tom Wise and Ukip’s corruption that eventually ensured Wise was sentenced to 2 years in jail!
DENNY, Douglas 03
It has been this blog that has publicly kept alive the desire for open transparency over the Ukip corrupt Ashford scam and exposed the dishonesty and corrupting of Ukip internal elections for Farage by Douglas Denny.
CLARK, Derek MEP born 10-Oct-1933 06
It was this blog that exposed the corruption of Ukip MEP Derek Clark which eventually led to him having to refund somewhere between £30 & 100,000 of tax payers money he had missapropriated. It is understood the only reason he was never prosecuted was bnecause of his advanced years!
HOLDSWORTH, Petrina 01It was also my blogs which brought you the lies and deceit of Roger Knappman and the obscenities of Nattrass and corrupt bullying by others that led to the resignation of the tyhen chairman of Ukip Petrina Holdsworth.
It was this blog which first published the fact that Nigel Farage had lied on media to get elected and had broken his promise by employing his wife doing very little for £30Kpa.
FARAGE, Kirsten 03
It was this blog that published the fact that Nigel Farage had set up a tax dodging Isle of Man bank account and also gave details of his undeclared income relative to the Electoral Commission some £200,000 in donations from the owners of his constituency office.
It was also my blog which published that the £11,000 unlawfully claimed from the EU and allegedly paid to The Metric Martyrs vanished on route, as they never received a penny of it from Ukip.
MERCHANT, Piers 04
There was also the report of the Ukip Returning Officer in their candidate selection process a Barrister and former Tory MP, which exposed the corruption of the process and the dishonesty of a fellow former Tory MP’s involvement in the scam, which were exposed on my blog CLICK HERE
GILL, Christopher 03
ALL of these items appeared on this blog and others I control long before they were ever made public in the Legacy Media.
FULLER, Annabelle 10a
Do not forget it was this blog that published the lies of Annabelle Fuller and her theft of confidential data pertaining to John West which she published on You Tube and details of the collusion with Nigel Farage4 to stay on his payroll which has been achieved to date regardless of the pretence and subterfuge Nigel Farage has been involved in to achieve it.
WHITTAKER Dr John 02
You may recall Ukip’s then chairman John Wittaker MEP who resigned in disgust over Nigel Farage’s corrupt behaviour!
It was also this blog which published the fact that Annabelle Fuller had stolen Andrew Bridgen’s Blackberry phone device, House of Commons Pass and correspondence whilst at his flat in the early hours with his political advisor – we also published tyhe fact that she had twice phoned Nigel Farage from the flat at the time!
Despite these facts being reported to the police at the time it would seem there was a cover up of Ukip’s invbolvement in Annabelle Fuller’s criminality due to repeated embarrassment of the police eventually
BRIDGEN, Andrew 01 + wife
(too late to save Andrew Bridgen’s marriage) instigated an enquiry only about a month ago see CLICK HERE and then ask yourself just how long it takes the police to investigate the theft of a Blackberry, a House of Commons Pass and correspondence, which not only has been admitted by the thief but since it was theft from an MP was clearly a Security Issue
Clearly it is legitimate to ask ‘Are the police still acting to cover up the crimes for Ukip whilst seemingly fabricating cases for Ukip’?.
It would seem Ukip has privileged links with various Police Officers and have corrupted the judicial system on more than one occasion. Last week we noted that Police Officers were destroying evidence which may well have proved damaging to their various cases on behalf of Ukip, Gerard Batten and possibly others.
The similarities involved in these cases, including the involvement of Simon Orme from the CPS and various police officers named on this blog site with what seems to be a ‘fit up’ case being brought against the then Ukip MEP Nikki Sinclaire,
who fell out with Ukip over their racist, anti homosexual, anti Jewish low life associates in the EFD Group.
SINCLAIRE Nikki Banks + Hurst 01
Clearly the claimed case against Nikki Sinclaire which so closely follows the case brought against Ukip as to obviously be unsound – not least in the fact that it has taken over 2 years of police harrassment and public villification of Nikki Sinclaire to even bring this febrile stack of nonsense to Court – clearly costing her the possibility of re-election and together with
PEARSON, Lord Malcolm of Rannock 16 & Pamela
the lies of the utterly corrupt extremist Zionist racist Lord Pearson of Rannock’s lies about her has made her position untenable.
A clear case of justice delayed is justice denied.
Like so much else related to the dealings of the Ukip leadership clique aided by their nere do well claque this is deeply unreliable and would seem to be a very clear case of corruption of justice in collusion with other public servants.
I believe that there is more than enough evidence in the public domain and readily available to call for an enquiry into the ethics of Ukip and consider as unsound various, if not all cases, involving those officers who have seemingly colluded with Ukip. If they have been willing to ‘sit on’ some cases, ‘cover-up’ others and pursue seemingly fabricated cases then they are clearly unfit and ALL their work must be considered suspect.
An investigation of the ‘establishment’ by the ‘establishment’ is clearly no more fit for purpose than Ukip as representatives of British values nor the Police of Police corruption!
Ukip has made much of being different from other politicians and parties and it seems they surely are – they would seem to have industrialised corruption. Perhaps it is time for a complete change in the style of British politics so let us change by having an independent and trustworthy enquiry – unlike such stitch ups as Chilcott and Leverson’s various stunningly inept reports (deliberate?) – or the mealie mouthed efforts to sweep the various paedophile reports back under the carpet!
It is time for A Royal Commission on Police, Policing and the Justice System which so readily abuses its position of trust with utilising false laws just ‘Because they can’.
Also we should strive to restructure our system of Governance along the lines of ‘The Harrogate Agenda‘ once we have implemented ‘FleXcit‘ to Leave_The_EU, minded of ‘The House of Commons document‘.
Hi,
as I wrote is some detail the most likely outcome of Ukip’s lack of competent leadership would lead to the party’s own self destruction as the egos of diametrically opposed values and beliefs joined together for personal gain despite the divergence of their ideologies.
Ukip just isn’t stable enough to cope with the size of egos it has attracted and even prior to its present parlous position Nigel Farage had fallen out with or stabbed in the back around 1/3rd. of his elected team!
EXCLUSIVE: MOVES TO REMOVE O’FLYNN AFTER ANTI-BUSINESS NEWSNIGHT INTERVIEW
by ANDRE WALKER 17 Nov 2014, 1:34 AM
O'FLYNN, Patrick 02
Senior members of UKIP are campaigning behind the scenes to have Patrick O’Flynn MEP removed as economic spokesman after his appearance on the BBC’s Newsnight programme last Monday night. In the interview O’Flynn called for higher taxes on business, having previously called for a tax on the turnover of companies so they would pay even if they did not make a profit.
O’Flynn is widely seen as the standard bearer of the left of UKIP leading to “mutterings” against him. He is said to be keen to attract old Labour voters in places like Rotherham and Hull by pledging tax increases. At UKIP party conference he called for an increase in VAT on “luxury goods” such as shoes. The idea became known as the “Wag Tax” and caused so much embarrassment that Nigel Farage personally ticked off O’Flynn, and publicly distanced himself from the policy.
Mr O’Flynn then advocated creating a 35 percent tax rate, which would lead UKIP into the general election advocating higher taxes than the Conservatives for those earning £49,000 a year. He is also a firm opponent of flat tax, which was party policy when 25,000 of their members joined.
His opponents are now circulating a letter calling for him to go, which they hope to publish this week. One source who is not involved with the letter told Breitbart London: “He really does need to shut up with all talk of aggressive tax avoidance and bashing big business… It’s a real mistake to have a pinko in such an important position.
“O’Flynn always says he’s never been a member of any other political party. That’s not a good thing, it means he lived through the Thatcher era and didn’t get excited by it.”
Another said: “O’Flynn’s views are very dangerous for UKIP, he is determined to pander to the left in seats like Rotherham but this puts our core vote at risk. What’s the point in UKIP if all we do is swing with wind like the mainstream political parties. We’ve always prided ourselves on being above chasing whatever the latest opinion poll says.”
In the Newsnight interview O’Flynn said businesses should not take steps to legally avoid tax: “We have this missing tax revenue, don’t we, we have this big hole despite some decent economic growth. I believe the cosy cartel of corporate Britain has a major role in that, and some of those companies are not paying their way…. We want to be on the side of the people,” he said.
O’Flynn claimed that stopping tax avoidance “should not just be a left-wing point.” During the interview the MEP admitted he had never worked in a business role but claimed his time as a journalist at the Daily Express qualified him to hold his brief.
This led a third detractors to say: “Patrick’s claim to have had a ‘proper job’ is very thin. He is so wrapped up in his London bubble, that he can’t see the difference between reality and the airy fairy ideological talk at dinner parties in Zone 1.”
To view the original article CLICK HERE
& for a different take on this obvious deepening rift of policy and fundamental ideology in Ukip, which shows the party to be in the ludicrous position of Nigel Farage losing his control as the only recognised spokesman and policy inventor in his party to a challenge that can only lead to be the battle for leadership of the party and control of its future direction, as the ambition and diversity of views is palpable and can not contain the two factions in the one party.
This is just as this blog predicted when Farage bribed Patrick O’Flynn to betray his trade ethics as a journalist and write promotional pieces in the Express for a considerable time, without telling his readers that he was to be rewarded with the leading regional position and a near certain walk into the highly rewarded position of MEP, on the list system!
Ukip’s position gets yet more parlous as clearly Douglas Carswell, who now wields considerable clout within the UK base of Ukip as both an ex Tory and an elected MP and it is clear that his position is hugely different to that of Nigel Farage.
Clearly Nigel Farage’s income stream is deeply challenged and he will fight to the death to hang onto his position on the gravy train at all costs – clearly Ukip will be the victim in this three way power struggle.
Whatever the outcome of this rivalry there is no way it can be of benefit to Ukip but the winner can expect to follow Nigel Far5age in being able to make many £Millions personally and have at their disposal a great deal of ‘largess’ to spread amongst his family and chums as Farage has done for many years.
Firing Patrick O’Flynn would signal the start of Ukip’s slide back into fringe insignificance
But what else can Nigel Farage do to maintain his income stream & unique position?
FARAGE, Nigel 94 ORCHESTRATING A DEFECTION 01
The contradictions between Ukip’s Left and the Right threaten to tear the party apart
UK Independence Party (Ukip)
I suppose it was inevitable that, as Ukip gathered support, the party would start to collapse under the weight of its own contradictions.
An enormous split has now opened up over the economy. Indeed it is more correct to call it an abyss. It is far deeper and more divisive than anything currently going on inside the Conservative Party, or even in Ed Miliband’s Labour Party.
On the one side is Ukip’s libertarian Right, which wants Britain to resemble the United States as much as possible, with low taxes and minimal standards of social provision.
Its supporters say they look to Margaret Thatcher for their inspiration. But the truth is that Maggie Thatcher in office very rarely touched any of these advanced libertarian ideas, such as the flat tax.
This group cannot count for a great deal of support from ordinary members. It is, however, well represented among the small number of donors who dominate the party finances and can always rely on the ear of Nigel Farage.
Ukip also has a Left wing, and it is becoming clear that the party’s economics spokesman Patrick O’Flynn is its leader.
At Ukip’s party conference six weeks ago, Mr O’Flynn made a speech that appalled the libertarian Right of the party. Ever since then, its supporters have been intriguing against him and seeking to bring about his downfall.
There are two key elements of Mr O’Flynn’s speech. On the one hand, Mr O’Flynn advocated sharply raising income tax thresholds, so that middle earners did not come into the top rate of tax. This idea was promptly copied by David Cameron in his speech in Manchester the following week. Mr O’Flynn’s second idea was a tax on luxury goods, the so-called “Wag tax”. However, Ukip’s Right wing got hold of Nigel Farage immediately after Mr O’Flynn’s speech and forced the Ukip leader to distance himself from his economic spokesman.
The party’s Right is now planning to strike again against Mr O’Flynn, as Andre Walker this morning reveals in a well-informed piece on Breitbart. According to Mr Walker, the senior members of Ukip are now making a concerted effort to get Mr O’Flynn removed.
One source is quoted as saying that Mr O’Flynn needs “does need to shut up with all talk of aggressive tax avoidance and bashing big business … It’s a real mistake to have a pinko in such an important position …” According to Breitbart, a letter will soon be circulated calling for him to go.
I should declare an interest. Mr O’Flynn was my colleague for many years on the Daily Express. He is a man who’s integrity and intellect I greatly admire. With his first-class degree in economics from King’s College Cambridge, he has always struck me as far more intelligent, and also far more connected with the views of ordinary voters, than George Osborne, the Chancellor.
I strongly believe that if the Ukip donors succeed in getting rid of Patrick O’Flynn it will mark the moment when the party returns to becoming a fringe movement of no significance. Mr O’Flynn’s emergence as a senior figure within the party has coincided with an exponential growth of party support amongst working-class voters, especially in the Midlands and the North. Indeed, as Matthew Goodwin pointed out in his article in the Telegraph today, Ukip support is by no means dependent on a small number of former Thatcherites.
Mr Farage claims to represent a different kind of politics to the mainstream political parties. There is some truth in this, but he is every bit as dependent on big powerful donors as is either David Cameron or Ed Miliband. He is in danger of allowing this dependence to damage the integrity of his party, with just six months to go before the general election.
Further provenance of this chasm that is growing ever wider in Ukip is shown by Sean Howlett in his internal letter to Steve Crowther as leaked to Guido Fawkes today:
Hi,
let us consider the truth of Nigel Farage’s long term friend, travelling chum, drinking buddy and flatmate:
‘Mr Farage is much more useful with a knife than a gun, given the number of colleagues he has stabbed in the back.’
Although Ukip would like to pretend they have sound policies and a role to play, will their corruption and infighting, lack of leadership skills and chav behaviour, stunts and ill manners and clear lack of understanding of the issues actually lose a referendum for us – a referendum of which the outcome is inevitable eventually, even if Ukip destroys our chances this time there is little or no doubt Britain will Leave_The_EU in the long run.
Sadly the longer Ukip condemns Britain to being a vassal state within the incompetent, corrupt and profligate EU the greater the damage Britain will suffer, distanced as it is from the actual global law makers and unable to negotiate for our own global interests direct with The WTO, The IMF, The WHO, CODEX, The UN and the like – distanced by the footlings of the EU as it rubber stamps the international agreements in a pretence of authority and intellect!
Posing with a gun, meet Ukip’s new secret weapon: Farage hires ‘professional wind-up merchant’ to help turn party’s poll surge into more Commons seats
Raheem Kassam has been described as ‘wildly self-important’
And ‘trained in the arts of vicious American-style attack politics’
Appointment somes as MP Mark Reckless looks set to win seat
This is the man Ukip leader Nigel Farage hopes will help his party win this week’s Rochester and Strood by-election – posing proudly with a real handgun.
Raheem Kassam has been hired as the Ukip leader’s new election strategist, and tasked with turning the party’s poll surge into more Commons seats.
Mr Kassam’s appointment was proving controversial even before The Mail on Sunday unearthed the gun picture, which was taken on a recent visit to America.
‘TROUBLESOME’: Ukip’s new election strategist Raheem Kassam poses with a real gun
‘We WILL win!’ UKIP’s Nigel Farage on next by-election
Critics have described Mr Kassam variously as ‘troublesome’, ‘wildly self-important’ and ‘a professional wind-up merchant’.
And last night Godfrey Bloom, the former Ukip MEP who used to share a flat with Mr Farage in Brussels, warned: ‘This typifies the triumph of style over substance in the party – hiring flash gurus purely for effect. Where are our policies? We are now as bad as all the other parties.
‘Mr Farage is much more useful with a knife than a gun, given the number of colleagues he has stabbed in the back.’
It comes as polls put former Conservative MP Mark Reckless on course to win the seat for Ukip on Thursday and become the party’s second MP, following fellow defector Douglas Carswell’s triumph in Clacton last month.
David Cameron warned yesterday that a win for Ukip would cause ‘economic instability’, because it reduced the chances of a Tory General Election win. He urged voters not to give Mr Farage cause to have another celebratory pint.
‘If they vote Ukip… it’ll be another sort of notch for them,’ the Prime Minister said at the G20 summit in Brisbane. ‘They will all celebrate with a pint in the pub and there will be a greater danger of insecurity and instability in our economy.’
Although Tory strategists initially pledged to ‘throw the kitchen sink’ at Rochester to try to deprive Mr Farage of another scalp, they now privately concede that a Conservative victory is unlikely.
Instead, the town will be flooded with heavyweight Cabinet Ministers in ‘one last heave’ this week in an effort to limit Mr Reckless’s majority and to deter further Tory MPs from defecting. They remain confident of reclaiming the seat at the General Election in May.
Labour is also watching the result nervously, with a poor result likely to pile the pressure on Ed Miliband’s strained leadership.
Mr Kassam has courted controversy throughout his career. He is a former manager of the Student Rights organisation, which claims to ‘ensure freedom of speech and freedom from political oppression for students’. In February, he helped to establish a London outpost of Breitbart, a Right-wing US-based news and opinion website.
+4
David Cameron warned yesterday that a win for Ukip would cause ‘economic instability’, because it reduced the chances of a Tory General Election win
The picture is understood to show Mr Kassam on a visit to a ‘gun roadshow’ in America. The 28-year-old – said by one political commentator to have been ‘trained in the arts of vicious American-style attack politics’ – agreed in 2010 to set up a British wing of the Tea Party, the ultra-conservative American movement which advocates low taxes and a small state.
Ironically, given the picture, Mr Kassam insisted that although the British Tea Party shared its American counterpart’s libertarianism, it was ‘less concerned with God, guns and gays’. On one occasion, he outraged members of the ethnic minority community by backing racial profiling, saying the Security Services should be allowed to single out those who look as if they might follow Islam, on the grounds they are statistically more likely to be involved in terrorism.
In an article, he said: ‘Once people who look like me stop blowing themselves up, then I’ll get upset at being profiled. Not before.’ On another occasion, after being accused on social media of ‘flirting with anti-Muslim bigotry’, he responded: ‘I’m a flirtatious kind of guy.’
Mr Kassam, who has reputation for ‘trolling’ Left-wing writers by leaving critical remarks under their internet articles, has also been described by the Right-wing Spectator magazine as being ‘a troublesome… wildly self-important figure who flits about on the internet Right’.
The picture of Mr Kassam emerged just a few months after Mr Farage criticised former Prime Minister Tony Blair’s decision to criminalise the carrying of handguns, saying: ‘If you criminalise handguns then only the criminals carry the guns.
‘It’s really interesting that since Blair brought in that piece of law, gun crime doubled. I think the ban on handguns is ludicrous.’
When asked to comment yesterday on the gun pose and explain the circumstances, a Ukip spokesman said: ‘We all think he makes rather a dashing James Bond.’
Minded of just how untrustworthy Ukip are as allies of friends and how Nigel Farage has personally been responsible for hatchet jobs on so many in Ukip, including many who thought he was their friend, just what reasons are there to trust Ukip in any position of authority – particularly when it see4ms more than clear that Ukip are all too willing to ‘fit up’ associates and friends as with Jasna Badzak (for details CLICK HERE), John West, Nikki Sinclaire, myself – all of whom have been lied about in efforts to use corruption of the British Justice System and bent coppers for the odious aims of Ukip’s undeniably corrupt leadership team.
Then you will clearly recall that Ukip despite their ‘claims’ of wishing to Leave_The_EU took absolutely no action to oppose the EU’s New Constitution Lisbon Treaty, aftyer 21 years has absolutely no vestige of a responsible honourable EU exit & survival strategy and actively campaigned against efforts to implement a Referendum for an IN / OUT vote on the EU.
With the constant bullying, dishonesty, corruption and lies of Ukip’s leadership its clique and its claque of self interested sychofants hoping for preferment one has to ask just how stupid are the British public in willfully voting for such odious ingrates?
I do note Ukip’s target market nowadays would seem to be any gutter filled with malcontents and failures, much the same as the anti British target market of both Plaid and The SNP seeking to break up our stable, if faulty, political structure and the unity of these United Kingdoms, for their own vain glory and malign ends, rather than seeking to build and improve they seek power through destruction.
Ukip are not without well known examples they follow:
Adolf Hitler, Francisco Franco, Che Guevara, Hugo Chavez, Vladimir Lenin, Fidel Castro, Benitto Mussolini and others who pandered to the under belly of society, in their day in their respective countries, in their over arching ambition for publicity and ‘power’ and its trappings – regardless of the damage done to their societies and the catastrophic outcomes in all but a tiny tiny minority of cases!
For a better understanding of just how corrupt Ukip leadership is do not take my word alone for it – may I suggest you read the comments of a few of their elected insiders CLICK HERE and HERE, also HERE plus HERE and HERE and HERE also HERE to start out on the trail of learning the facts.
There is a huge amount more detail and facts CLICK HERE
GUEST POST:
Ten reasons why I won’t be joining UKIP from a very Tory perspective!
.
~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.

More and more often I’m asked if I will defect to UKIP. I can understand why. I’m no admirer of David Cameron’s zig-zagging leadership of the Conservative Party. I support leaving the EU. I resent the way George Osborne span last week’s extra £850 million payment to the Brussels bureaucracy as some sort of victory. I share UKIP’s opposition to Britain’s futile but expensive climate change policies. I’ve also tried to understand the motivations of UKIP’s voters rather than shout them down as racists.

All of my experience suggests that the vast majority of Kippers are patriotic, decent Britons who worry about the direction of the country and are often victims of very tough economic circumstances. I admire many of UKIP’s leading lights, notably Douglas Carswell, Patrick O’Flynn and Steven Woolfe. I feel philosophically and temperamentally closer to them than some prominent members of my own party – Matthew Parris or Ken Clarke, for example. But I’m not going to leave the Conservative Party.

Although there’s more in UKIP that I like than I dislike (it’s largely a party of the centre right after all) I want to fight for the Conservatives to again become Britain’s dominant party – rooted in the centre right, a broad church and committed to a one nation politics. I may feel closer to Douglas Carswell than Matthew Parris; to Patrick O’Flynn rather than to Ken Clarke but the bigger truth is that I’m much closer to Dan Hannan than to Nigel Farage, to Owen Paterson rather than Diane James or to Iain Duncan Smith than to Mark Reckless.

Here are ten quick reasons why I won’t be joining UKIP:

  1. UKIP is the EU’s best hope of avoiding a referendum. I agree with what Douglas Carswell once believed: “Only the Conservatives will guarantee and deliver an In /Out referendum. It will only happen if Cameron is Prime Minister”. If you vote Conservative you maximise your chance of David Cameron and pro-referendum Tory MPs staying in power. If you vote UKIP you might get Ed Miliband – as Nigel Farage now concedes.

  2. UKIP is not a friend of its poorest voters. UKIP is doing particularly well in more disadvantaged parts of Britain that haven’t done well during the global recession or indeed during the preceding years when less skilled work lost much of its market value. Its tax policies won’t benefit the lowest-paid workers, however. 85 per cent of the benefit of its policy to increase the starting rate of income tax will go to the top half of earners. This is also true of the Tory and LibDem pledge but I thought UKIP was supposed to be different? Moreover UKIP would take the poor backwards on some key fronts. Both Mark Reckless and Douglas Carswell have fought hard against Tory housebuilding plans that would reduce the cost of housing to first-time buyers. Many in the Tory Party are too NIMBYist but the problem in UKIP is even more serious – perhaps because its voters are so much older than any of the other parties?

  3. UKIP is divided. Forget for the moment the historic fallings out. I mean, for example, what UKIP’s founder Alan Sked thinks of Mr Farage. Or what Godfrey Bloom thinks. Or Marta Andreasen. I’m thinking about the future tensions. Mark Wallace has expertly highlighted the looming differences between Douglas Carswell and Nigel Farage. UKIP is in danger of making the People’s Front of Judea look coherent. They have one policy that unites them – leaving the EU. Not much else.

  4. UKIP is amateurish. If you vote UKIP you could end up with almost anything in the way of policy. At the Eastleigh by-election it was promising lots of increases in spending and lots of tax cuts. Even Ed Balls is better at sums. At its recent Doncaster conference its Treasury spokesman Patrick O’Flynn announced a tax on luxury goods only for it to be disowned by Nigel Farage 48 hours later. Mr Farage has a habit of disowning UKIP policies. He described his own party’s 2010 manifesto as “drivel”. He didn’t admit that to voters at the time. So much for straight-talking.

  5. UKIP is unfinished. I sat on a panel on the fringe of UKIP’s recent conference. It was remarkable to see two front bench spokespeople – Steven Woolfe and Patrick O’Flynn openly disagree about the desirability of a flat tax. UKIP started as a “non-racist, libertarian party” committed to leave the EU. It hardly talks about leaving the EU anymore. It increasingly focuses on immigration. It opposed gay marriage in order to reinforce its support among older voters. It’s currently more conservative than libertarian but soon may be more left-wing than conservative. In reaching out to Labour voters it has become anti-reformist on the NHS but, in a leftover from its earlier days, it still promises to cut tax for the rich. Contradictions don’t always matter in opposition. The Liberal Democrats who played left in the north and right in the south for twenty years were only found out in government but UKIP is not only an incoherent political force its ambitions to win in Labour as well as Tory backyards is resulting in even more and more incoherence. Join this moving vehicle at your own risk. Its destination is unknown.

  6. UKIP has no long-term economic plan. Ed Balls has his banker bonus tax. He’s spent it five or ten times, depending on whose list you trust. UKIP isn’t any more honest than the shadow chancellor. UKIP say it’ll pay for everything by leaving the EU or cutting aid to the poorest and hungriest people of the world. This would only pay for, perhaps, a quarter of Britain’s borrowings. UKIP has no plan to rebuild the northern economy, eliminate the deficit or reform welfare. It is not a party of tough choices but this is a time when very tough choices are necessary.

  7. UKIP is isolationist. I am proud to be part of a country that shoulders its global responsibilities. While I want Britain to leave the EU it’s because I don’t want to be shackled to an out-of-date project that is in serious global decline. Farage says he wants a globalist Britain, too. I’m not so sure. I’m proud of our partnership with America in punishing aggression. Proud of our armed forces. Proud of the humanitarian good that our aid budget does. Nigel Farage’s desire to slash the aid budget, his opposition to action against ISIS and his admiration for Vladimir Putin’s skills may strike a populist note but they’re not the actions of a great Britain. They deserve the Little England tag.

  8. UKIP is opportunistic. There are many people who oppose gay marriage for principled reasons. I personally support marriage equality but I respect the views of those who disagree. But why did Nigel Farage oppose gay marriage? Because the traditional family is important to him? If it was he would have a developed family policy. As Kathy Gyngell blogs, he hasn’t begun to.

  9. UKIP is undemocratic. Don’t take my word for it – read Roger Lord’s words. He was deselected as UKIP’s Clacton candidate without any internal procedure. It may have been an electorally understandable decision but it certainly wasn’t democratic. I wouldn’t want to be part of a party where my career or my party’s direction was in the hands of any one person.

  10. UKIP is pessimistic. Douglas Carswell’s open and optimistic speech after his Clacton victory was a model for what UKIP might yet become but it was not typical of the party. Speech after speech at UKIP’s Doncaster conference was a rant at the modern world. I know. I was there, sitting through it all. The speech by the party’s health spokesperson, Louise Bours, was so shouty I wanted earplugs by the end of it. And, of course, there are reasons for anger. The decline of home ownership, flat wages for millions, social immobility and the demographic changes that are producing such a misshaped state are grounds for concern but it’s all too negative. Even unBritish. There was even something uncivilised about Nigel Farage’s speech against Herman van Rompuy in the European Parliament. “You have the charisma of a damp rag and the appearance of a low grade bank clerk“? I want the can-do optimism of a Reagan or a Boris at the heart of politics. No nation can advance with pessimism in its fuel tank.

**********

A final thought.
An eleventh reason.

This particularly fractious time to be a Conservative won’t last. I feel – as many Tories do – that there is a cuckoo in the nest at present and he will be gone on either the day after the next election or a year or two afterwards. At some point in the not too distant future the party will have a leader more in tune with the mood of the Conservative voter and with the lower income, aspirational and patriotic voters that Margaret Thatcher and John Major successfully attracted. The unhappy chapter begun in December 2005 will close.

The Conservatives shouldn’t change their leader before the election, whatever happens in next Thursday’s Rochester and Strood by-election. It is not clear that there is any Tory in parliament who’d do a better job for the Conservative Party next May than David Cameron. Particularly because it is unlikely that a leadership election would be a coronation. It would probably be protracted and divisive. The Tories also have strong assets. The economy is growing. Jobs are being created. Crime is down. Welfare and schools are being reformed. Pensioners have been looked after. Only one party can deliver a referendum on Europe. These remain strong underpinnings of a re-election strategy. They’d not be enough against a strong Labour Party but they might be enough against a Labour Party led by Ed Miliband. He seemed to do enough yesterday to save his leadership.

Moreover, David Cameron is not a terrible conservative. He’s a little bit conservative in every respect. A little bit of a fiscal conservative. A little bit of a Eurosceptic. A little bit of a reformer. A little bit of a hawk on foreign policy. But, while such modest conservatism might have suited happier times, these are not happy times. The European Union of which we are already semi-detached members is failing economically and failing badly. Emerging markets, technological change and open borders are combining to depress the wages of the lowest-paid. Demographic change is distorting the budgets of ageing western electorates such that the British state now spends more than half of its budget on health, welfare and pensions. This is a time for boldness rather than for Cameronism.

Although I think he’s been a strategic amateur the Prime Minister is clearly a natural TV performer and super competent at many of the things a prime minister should be competent at – including at representing Britain at international gatherings and in Commons performances. I was very proud of his responses to the Hillsborough and Bloody Sunday reports. The trouble is that these qualities are less important than a common touch, consistency and skilled party management. The gatekeepers of Britain’s political culture put too much emphasis on the silky sophistication of a Cameron and not only don’t value the raw strategic consistency of a Tony Abbott and Stephen Harper or the folksy charm of a Ronald Reagan or John Key. Worse, they actually sneer at such qualities.

But change is coming. David Cameron may be gone within six months. If he wins the next election he’ll probably go by mid-term, perhaps sooner. Real change must then happen because, by its own objectives, Cameronism has failed. Failed to build Tory support in the north, in urban Britain or among ethnic minorities. Three key tasks will await Cameron’s successor, whoever he or she will be:

  • They will have to begin proper Tory modernisation. David Cameron was not wrong in 2005 to argue that the Tory Party needed to change. This, after all, is a party that last won a general election outright in 1992. But as polling by YouGov for ConservativeHome has demonstrated, Team Cameron undertook the wrong kind of modernisation. The belief was that the Tories were too right-wing (hence the emphasis on not talking about Europe, immigration and crime). The problem was that the party was too biased towards the already wealthy (a reputation that the party tried to tackle with its commitment to the NHS but only reinforced by, among other things, adopting environmental policies that increased fuel bills and also by denying poorer, bright kids the opportunity of a grammar school education). Even now the Tory leadership does not understand the extent of its problem. George Osborne’s decision at the Birmingham Party Conference to announce a freeze on benefits for the lowest paid without asking any other better-off sections of society to make any sacrifices was politically deaf to the party’s greatest challenge. The next Tory leader will only break into Scotland, northern England, the great cities and amongst ethnic minority populations if it offers the two halves of the great Winston Churchill vision: ladders of opportunity so people of every background can climb high and also, often forgotten by Conservatives, the finest social ambulance service in the world, so that no person ever falls too far.

  • They will have to reknit the centre right, Eurosceptic coalition. It’s not yet clear how easy or hard that will be. With six or more MPs in parliament and a large number of second-placed results UKIP might soon be a force to be reckoned with. But if UKIP falls short and if Nigel Farage walks away from his party’s leadership all the internal inconsistencies within UKIP might bubble over. However hard it is some sort of post-election reconciliation will be necessary. That reconciliation might be with UKIP voters rather than with its hierarchy but reconciliation will be necessary – at least as long as Britain’s first-past-the-post system continues.

  • They will have to decentralise the party. We must never get into a position ever again where the Tory Party is run by such a small, very wealthy and not particularly effective clique. There have been members of David Cameron’s circle who have been outstanding. Lord Feldman springs to mind. He has transformed the Conservative Party’s finances. Overall, however, it couldn’t win a majority against Brown, has presided over the biggest ever split on the centre right of British politics and its only hope of winning the next election is the fact that Labour replaced Gordon Brown with someone even less electable. There are divisions across the Right in all parts of the world but the lack of internal democracy has forced Tory divisions into the open and many natural Tories out of the party. The split on the American Right has been contained within the Republican Party by the US system of primary elections. This has meant, on occasions, some very odd candidates have been nominated by the GOP for the Senate in particular. It has been messy but the party has stayed together – and triumphed in last week’s mid-terms. Robust systems of internal democracy might have meant certain policies that I, personally, support – including equal marriage and the 0.7 per cent aid target – might have been blocked. I would have argued for them but party members and MPs deserve to be consulted more often than at a once-in-a-decade leadership election. Every MP in the next parliament should have a job (running the UK equivalents of Battleground Texas, for example (of which more on another occasion)). There should be an elected Tory board and Chairman with the responsibility to think about the long-term health of the Tory Party. The whole party apparatus should not be obsessed with helping the current leader survive beyond the annual electoral cycle. Fundamental change is needed in party organisation if it is to think long-term about rebuilding in the northern cities, changing the profile of party candidates and – the previous theme – remoralising the Tory brand.

UKIP is partly the product of both lousy party management and strategy by the current Tory leadership. Its best members can teach the Conservative Party a few things but it is not the answer to Britain’s key challenges. The Conservatives might just limp over the finishing line at the next election under David Cameron’s leadership but fundamental change is still needed if the party is to win an election and, most importantly, deserve to win it.

Is John Major Actively Campaigning For Ukip? Having lost his own election & let Labour in for 13 unlucky years of Labour economic illiteracy and missrule!

Hi,
you will no doubt remember how John Major and his inability to control the sleaze in his party  and having split it down the middle in his grovelling pursuit of a place in the EU lost the election for the Tory party and handed Britain to the catastrophic 13 unlucky years of Labour missrule and economic stupidity.
Now you will note he seeks to ensure David Cameron’s party looses as profoundly as did he by trying to ‘sell’ the failing, corrupt, outdate and odious EU as of any value to Britain.
David Cameron and his present day Tory party have a steep enough mountain to climb without the damaging involvement of the ultimate Mr. Grey – John Major.
John Major couldn’t do more to help Nigel Farage’s Cult if he tried!
John Major’s visit to Angela Merkel may well have been on behalf of his bosses’ arms dealings and dubious trade deals that cross so many borders with American The Carlysle Group.
That Carlysle Group t6rades around the world with no regard to borders when clearly being american is not a member of the EU and shows that being a member of the EU is of no material benefit to international trade – showing Britain would be in the same position as The Carlysle Group when we Leave_The_EU, unfetterd by the footling interference and corrupt incompetence and prejudices of that membership of the EU brings with it.
John Major has also shown that when it comes to the crunch he is forced to apeal not to the British el;ectorate but to Britain’s masters in the EU where the ultimate power lies not in our less than 8% say over our own destiny but where Angela Merkel’s authority comes before that of the British Government, the British Prime Minister and even the British electorate!
What more could John Major do to bolster the position of Nigel Farage and his cult following?
Last time John Major had influence he betrayed his party and the British peoples by granting victory to Labour!
000a Times-013 Major.jpg
John Major may be able to convince Angela Merkel that a British exit from the EU would be catastrophic but without such lies, distortions and exaggerations supported by F.U.D. and EU interference + Government money for the pro EU campaign he would be unable to convince a majority in Britain to remain in the EU with the loss of control that brings.
It took lies, distortions and exaggerations supported by F.U.D. and EU interference + Government money for the pro EEC campaign to ratify membership of the then EEC / Common Market in the last referendum, 40 years ago!

Ukip Has Learned Nothing From History even cowboy movies failed to teach them the need for strategy!

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
astonishingly, after almost 22 years, Ukip still hasn’t learned the core principle of winning isn’t just endlessly seeking cheap publicity with inane antics and childish soundbites.
The Alamo
1854_Alamo
The Alamo is one of the great military stories and indicates how a lack of strategy will always backfire in the end.
Mexican General Santa Anna was combatting the Texas Rebellion and winning battles with ease when he made a stop at the Alamo. Although Santa Anna won, the fight dragged on longer than intended, allowing the Texan forces to regroup. The decision to fight at the Alamo eventually cost the Mexican General the Battle of San Jacinto.
The lesson Ukip has totally failed to learn from history and the oft repeated downfall of politicians, generals and armies is:
a lack of strategy
will always backfire in the end
Ukip invents and contradicts its own so called policies – tending to be brief thoughts that are not seriously costed but sound popular as long as no one considers what yesterdays policy was or tomorrows will be!
For further thoughts in this direction you may wish to consider just one such CLICK HERE
But perhaps a simpler, more direct example of Ukip’s undeniable lack of strategy is that for almost 22 years they have claimed to espouse a ‘policy’ of Leave_The_EU yet to date they have NEVER had a responsible, ethical, costed, worcable EU exit and survival strategy – yobbery, bullying, abuse and childish stunts and ‘clever’ criticism is absolutely no substitute for strategy – just as soundbites and ‘clever’ interventions criticising those currently governing Britain are absolutely no substitute for strategy, tactics or policy, in a grown up world.
Perhaps if Ukip lack the intellect and perspicacity to cope with this CLICK HERE they might try to understand a small corner of the challenge when spoon fed CLICK HERE
