Hi,

although UKIP presented its list of candidate MEPs on 17-Aug-2013 it seemed so irrelevant that I have only just got around to publishing it!

UKIP just published a tedious and uninformative list, almost as if they wished to hide the facts from their beguilled followers & the claque, so I have picked up a few more facts for you!

Let us break this down into EU regions to make it more intelligible.

Though even this listing is before a NATIONAL vote on Regional issues!

It is before Nigel Farage through his muppets & puppets on HIS engineered NEC has parachuted in a few more drinking buddies and chums at the last minute and selected the order HE wants for each region – as is his perogative as a result of the all too apparently rigged vote on Constitutional amendments to make him effectively the dictator in his very own centralised and authoritarian party where Libertarian would seem to interpret as libertine or louche!

Already the controversy rages with a very acrimonious series of comments and media coverage of  the rejected James Delingpole,

A Courtcase has been threatened by the deeply disturbed & disturbing Mike Nattrass ( CLICK HERE )who clearly wants to see his loss of credibility escalate and huge eventual costs when he loses his no hope action (as he lost when he issued writs against The Times but was forced to withdraw when he saw their evidence!).

Then of course there was coverage in many papers such as:

The fruitcake test: UKIP candidates face psychometric testing before being selected …but Godfrey ‘Bongo’ Bloom passed

  • Personality quiz used to check the honesty and reliability of politicians
  • Media skills, public speaking and manifesto knowledge also tested
  • Godfrey Bloom who complained about aid to ‘Bongo Bongo land’ passed
  • But another MEP Mike Nattrass failed to make the grade
  • Tough regime designed to prevent repeat of local elections embarrassment

By Matt Chorley, Mailonline Political Editor

|

‘A ‘fruitcake test’ has been used by the UK Independence Party to uncover unsuitable characters who might embarrass the party.Psychometric tests were used to analyse the personalities, reliability and honesty of more than 300 people wanting to run in next year’s European elections.

Experts were called in to prevent a repeat of May’s local elections when UKIP candidates were accused of sexism, racism and homophobia.

But one candidate who passed with flying colours was Godfrey Bloom, the sitting MEP who last week railed against Britain giving aid to ‘Bongo Bongo land’.

Pass: UKIP's Godfrey Bloom cleared the party's psychometric testing, but last week caused a political storm after complaining about British aid being sent to Bongo Bongo land

Pass: UKIP’s Godfrey Bloom cleared the party’s psychometric testing, but last week caused a political storm after complaining about British aid being sent to Bongo Bongo land

UKIP leader Nigel Farage ordered a shake-up of the party selection process to weed out people with views which risked living up to David Cameron’s infamous claim that the party was a ‘bunch of fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists’.

A professional recruitment company was hired to oversee the process, ahead of elections to the European Parliament in May 2014.

I just love the picture of Bloom looking as barking mad as he clearly is – iresponsible to the last and seemingly due to his hold over Nigel Farage not only out of control but beyond discipline, whether urinating in hotel plant pots, heckling as a guest (on behalf of UKIP voters) at a Mansion House function, being arrested for copulating with a black prostitute on the bonnet of a car in a Brussels street, defaming women or abusing foreigners it rather shows the idiotic inadequacy of Psychometric testing to eliminate fruit cakes and liabilities.

What next will the Farage Party sink to, ouija boards, grapho analysis, crystal balls, astrology and Mystic Meg to make their decisions!

It is bad enough having elected politicians who are not up to the job and spend £Millions on so called consultants to advise them how to do the job for which we pay them but imagine if UKIP were to be elected somewhere one could expect them to squander money on chums with jobs as Tarot Card readers, Rorschach testers and divinets – clearly they can’t even manage basic interviews!

At least we haven’t seen the likes of Annabelle Fuller posting confidential videos on You Tube to try to fiddle the results this time SO FAR! Thus causing genuine Court cases and the resignation of UKIP’s chairman as unwilling to go on telling lies for Nigel Farage to protect his doxies!

Little wonder that Will Gilpin quit the job of CEO, I’m astonished he took so long to realise he would be undermined at every opposrtunity by the crass team of self serving clowns running UKIP!

The office witches & wizards put in place to rig the selection, when some were even standing themselves and most were appointed and salaried by Nigel Farage left Nigel Farage gently fuming in his own party, for which he has made up by promising that the liar and cheat Neil Hamilton, having missed out as a candidate will be given a plum job in the party – some fear it might be to replace Will Gilpin as CEO, others believe it will be as chairman of the party or party secretary!

UKIP with its gaggle of Old Etonian has neens at the top – Malcolm Pearson, Stuart Wheeler, Willaim Dartmouth, Hugh Williams & the rest) gets more like The Extremist Nutter Wing of The Tory Party!

In real terms it would be nice to believe that there was someone on their list of hopefuls whom someone of ethics, intelligence and gravitas might wish to represent them but sadly there isnt – they are by and large a dismal collection of self serving and odious political wanabes!

It was interesting to note that Will Gilpin’s comments on UKIP so closely resembled comments made on this and other bl;ogs that are desperately trying to work to see UKIP cleaned up and distanced from the garbage it has attracted with its dash for numbers rather than calliber, ability, commitment, patriotism, gravitas and responsible planned exit from The EU.

Nationalist, racist, yobbery and cowardly sneering by nebishes too ashamed of their behaviour to pout their name to it or dependent on abuse and insult unsubstantiated by facts, strategy, tactics or a plan serves the EUropSceptic cause ill.
It now starts to look as if UKIP is so unfit for purpose as to be iredeemable and more of a hinderance than a help to the cause! Hence when there has been a massive swing towards opposition to membership of The EU UKIP has failed abysmally to gather together those who would have naturally supported them.

Consider the words of Will Gilpin or for that matter the two untrustworthy liars Marta Andreasen & David Bannerman who despite their basic dishonesty did make many of the same comments! The idiotic comments of the likes of Bloom do much to prove the failure of UKIP as do the efforts of the idiotic in the party who try to sell the false premise thaty there is no such thing as bad publicity – well it seems without bad publicity UKIP doers little to attract good publicity!

Little wonder that UKIP has and continues to fail in domestic politics merely acting as the dustbin for protest votes in EU elections!

UKIP, or at least the media, are becoming all too well aware that Nigel Farage, although he has ensure he is the only recognisable performer in his party, is likely to prove to be kiss of death to UKIP!

Hi,

I note that Dr. Richard North has made verys similar comments on his excellent and well informed and researched blog as I.

Richard’s comment on his experience with Nigel Farage:
The bigger issue, though, is Farage’s assertion that he is going to take greater control. Long before he became party leader, he and I used to sit in the shared office in Strasbourg discussing the problems of leading such a fractious party as UKIP. And despite having first Michael Holmes and then Jeffrey Titford as leader – MEPs both – we agreed that it was not a good idea to have an MEP in charge.

almost exactly mirrors numerous conversations I have had with Nigel!

In fact I am clearly on record as saying that I would vigerously assist and support UKIP and its aim to Leave-The-EU under even half competent leadership but would implacably oppose it were Nigel Farage stupid enough to become the leader5 as I was well aware of his abilities as a performer but like Richard all to0o well aware of his total inability to lead much more than a rubber duck around a bath on a piece of string – A comment I have made often to0 Nigel himself.

It was clear, even in the early days of UKIP, that Nigel’s management and leadership skills were divisive and self serving rather than competent and his judgement of people was at the very least inept! A little flattery and a semblance of fawning adulation went a long way as long as there was little or no apparent ability or drive, ambition or intellectual gravitas!

I have been proven right time and again as Nigel purged the party of individuals of ability and ethics!

I was right then as is Richard’s title and the facts he puts forward now!

UKIP: Farage’s kiss of death

Richard North, 22/08/2013

000a Adams-021 farage.jpg

To no-one’s very great surprise, the UKIP saga has continued running, with the BBC and others picking up on the criticisms aired by Will Gilpin, the recently departed chief executive. The thoroughly unprofessional Mr Farage is well in evidence, with the BBC headline telling us that he has too much power in UKIP.

By any measure, therefore, Farage’s response to Gilpin is bizarre. Instead of retrenching, and even showing some signs of remorse, he comes storming back, telling the Telegraph that he will take a step back from public politics so that he can “get a grip” on UKIP by taking “direct control” of the party.

The idea that Farage will also cut back on his media appearances – as he claims – is hard to believe. The man thrives on publicity and cutting him off from the media would be like depriving an addict of his heroin.

The debilitating effect of the travel, absence from the UK, the complexity of the task in following the EU agenda and exploiting the opportunities afforded by membership of the European Parliament, all meant that it was virtually impossible for any single person to function effectively as both an MEP and a leader. It simply a very bad idea.

Thus, we risked ending up with the worst of all possible worlds, a representative under-performing as an MEP and also making a hash of the leadership – which is precisely what Farage has done.

The problem would not be so acute if the party had an effective management committee (in the NEC), a strong and effective chairman and/or a skilled and effective chief executive with the authority and backing to run the party. But, while lacking almost entirely any of his own management skills, Farage has been able to exercise the dark arts in which he is a consummate practitioner and neutralised these alternative power bases.

For Farage thus to say that he is going to take “direct control” is a harbinger of doom, not least in his unwillingness or inability to control his drinking pal, the oaf Bloom, who seems intent on committing political suicide. The Conservatives must think that Christmas has come early.

Nevertheless, it was UKIP the party that appointed Mr Gilpin. And now that he is complaining of being undermined by Farage, it is thoroughly perverse to have the source of the problem assume control of the mess he has created.

What is more, while there is a managerial vacuum in UKIP, there is an even greater policy vacuum. The Article 50 issue and the exit plan are just two of the areas which need considerable development and firm leadership. For Farage to desert the political leadership of the party, in order to attend to managerial aspects – for which he has little aptitude and almost no competence – is no answer at all.

The thing that makes this all so bizarre though is that Farage, having exercised far too much control in the past, now sees as the remedy exercising even more. This suggests he has learned nothing from recent experience and is entirely impervious to the bad publicity he is currently getting. The Adams cartoon from the Telegraph (pictured) and the number of adverse comments he is getting on the paper’s website all point to his having scored an own goal.

But for those of us seeking improvement in the party, the concern (and energy) might be misplaced. UKIP is beginning to look as if it is beyond redemption. Without a sound ideological base and a competent leader, it may be on its way to the same political graveyard as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) which in the 1983 general election took 28 percent of the vote and has since disappeared.

The SDP’s fate was to be absorbed into the Lib-Dems which, as of last week, were taking eight percent of the polls. Not ever has UKIP approached 28 percent in the polls, so it has less far to fall.

While it may do well in the euro-elections, Will Gilpin himself suggests that UKIP may underperform at the 2015 general election – and that may be the start of its decline to obscurity. Nevertheless, for all his skills, Gilpin has no track record as a political campaigner, but it is fair to say that success depends as much on good administration and management as political skills.

With Farage now assuming greater control over the helm, future campaigns are ostensibly in the hands of a man whose administrative skills do not even stretch to ensuring the publication of expenses claims, thus breaking manifesto promises. His management skills – and certainly his personnel management – can be measured as a minus quotient. There can, therefore, be no confidence that we will see any improvement in UKIP’s performance under Farage’s more direct control.

Then, when it comes to the vital web presence, whatever Will Gilpin’s failings might have been, in Farage we are looking at a man who, until recently, had trouble finding the “on” switch on a computer. He had to get his staff to print his e-mails so that he could read them.

More importantly, we are now looking at a politician who is failing to respond correctly to political signals. Far from resuscitating UKIP’s management, he is so badly misreading the signals that he is courting catastrophic failure.

But the greater disaster is a party that cannot control or restrain its own leader. This is a party which has received the kiss of death. It is sadly ironic that it should come from one of its founders, who is now set to preside over the decline of his own creation.

Hi,

I believe UKIP has been shown in its true colours – I dealt with much of what is revealed, yet again, at CLICK HERE

Nigel Farage wants Ukip to remain ‘a bunch of amateurs’

Ukip cannot become a professional political organisation that threatens the main parties because Nigel Farage refuses to give up power over it, the party’s former chief executive has said.

Chief executive of Ukip leaves after eight months in job

Mr Gilpin is said to have left on good terms

Will Gilpin, who left his job this week, said that Mr Farage’s reluctance to accept professional management means Ukip will remain “a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs” who never fulfil their political potential.

Mr Gilpin, a former RAF pilot hired to professionalise Ukip, told theTelegraph that Mr Farage and his inner circle resisted his efforts to improve the party’s management and organisation.

Mr Gilpin is a former RAF Tornado pilot who then spent a decade working on major projects for organisations including BP and the Home Office.

He joined Ukip last year, and said he found a chaotic and disorganised party built around Mr Farage’s personality and whims.

“The thing I am most shocked by is that Nigel does his own thing without the party knowing where he is or what he is doing,” he said.

“Nigel is a great orator and a useful man for the party, but you have to use him in the scope of the wider organisation, rather than thinking ‘It’s all about Nigel’.

“Nigel would see the party as being about him. The party is structured like a flying wedge, pushing Nigel forward.”

Focusing on the 2015 general election, Mr Gilpin drew up plans for a standardised plan for election campaigns across the country, a “lessons learned” culture to ensure constant improvements, and a training regime for staff and candidates. He also planned a new structure to address the “big hole” in Ukip’s policy agenda.

Updating the party’s organisation would inevitably reduce Mr Farage’s influence over Ukip, Mr Gilpin said. “Nigel has to have less power. There is no way around it.”

What’s the biggest problem facing Ukip?
They’re not professional enoughThe fact that they’re not polished is an asset to them – it’s our voting system that limits themNigel Farage has too much control over the partyNigel Farage doesn’t have enough control over the partyThey don’t promote or value women

However, he said, he was blocked by Mr Farage and his circle, who resisted changes that would formalise party rules and make them more accountable to members.

“The leap from being a small group of people who have fun and do what they want to being a professional political party was too much,” Mr Gilpin said.

The refusal to change will limit Ukip’s ability to win Westminster seats in 2015, he said.

“The party has decided it likes things the way they are – so Ukip remains a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs having a good time, rather than the professional fighting team they could be,” he said.

“Individually, they have the skills to make that happen, but that means working together, and that is not really happening.”

In 2015, Mr Gilpin said, Mr Farage and his team will underperform.

“They might still win some seats – but not as many as they would if they organised and structured themselves to make the most of what they have,” he said.

Ukip sources have this week suggested that Mr Gilpin left because he was better suited to running IT systems than to a senior management role.

Mr Gilpin said he left the party because of Mr Farage’s refusal to implement his plans.

“I left by mutual agreement in response to my dissatisfaction at the fact I was not being allowed to do the job I was hired to do, which was to professionalise the party,” he said.

A Ukip spokesman said that Mr Gilpin “leaves with a great deal of warmth”.

He said: “He has worked very hard to provide the structures that he was asked to provide and which proved very uncomfortable to some in the party. He has been very successful and we wish him all the best.”

The party has not said who will replace Mr Gilpin. Rumours have suggested that Mr Farage is keen for the job to go to Neil Hamilton, the former Conservative MP who joined Ukip in 2002, but party sources insisted that was not the case.

It becomes increasingly obvious that Farage’s party is unfit for office and is incompetent to manage its own affairs with any sense of responsibility let alone represent the voters in any position of authority.

One is forced to wonder if on top of the huge number of allegations of corruption and dishonesty that UKIP has been totally incapable of rebutting over many years and the many broken promises they have made to gain election (though largely they have failed to dupe the voters) could these latest revelations together with the all too plausible claims of rigging the selection of their list of staggeringly mediocre MEP candidates could this be the beginning of the end of the Farage cult?

That in the form of UKIP Farage’s cult is further demeaned by the crass comments of senior members like Godfrey Bloom, the appointment as a ‘fit individual’ of the liar & cheat Neil Hamilton to their NEC or the fantasist and thoroughly unpleasant and crass Mick McGough as an executive of the clique on the NEC – there are so very many examples that it merely becomes a bore to list them again when the articles regarding the departure of their CEO and the desperate efforts of Farage to try to hold the line, as shown in the media article below are so damaging.

Clearly yet another nail in the coffgin of any pretence that Farage’s party has any credibility comes with their MEP and past deputy leader of the party resorting to law to try to force UKIP to act legally and ethically (fat chance!) CLICK HERE

Nigel Farage to take a step back from politics to ‘get a grip’ on Ukip

Nigel Farage has said that he will take a step back from public politics so that he can “get a grip” on Ukip by taking “direct control” of the party.

Nigel Farage: ‘By offering a £1,300 voucher to those in two income households while dismissing single earning households shows contempt for more than a million families who opt for the more traditional child rearing structure. ‘ Photo: Getty Images

Following criticism from Will Gilpin, Ukip’s former chief executive, Mr Farage said that he will now do “less politics” in a bid to “professionalise” the organisation.

Mr Gilpin, who left this week, said that Mr Farage’s reluctance to accept professional management means the Ukip will remain “a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs” who never fulfil their political potential.

He said that Mr Farage “has to have less power” if Ukip is to become a professional political organisation.

However, in an interview with The Telegraph, Mr Farage said that Mr Gilpin “couldn’t be more wrong”.

Mr Farage said that he had given up “total control” of the party in 2010 in order to “lead” rather than “manage” Ukip.

“I gave up total control of Ukip in 2010,” Mr Farage said. “I got re-elected on the slogan of ‘Vote for me to lead the party not run or manage it’.”

In an apparent criticism of Mr Gilpin’s work with Ukip, Mr Farage added: “The party does need professional management but thus far we haven’t found the person to deliver it.”

Mr Farage said that he will now take more control of the party until he is “confident” the right managerial structure is in place.

“I gave up all managerial control of the party in 2010, I gave it up to a new group of people and at the moment we haven’t got to where we need to and so therefore…I will now be once again taking back some direct managerial control of the party until I’m confident we’ve got the right people in place.

“I will have to do less politics, fewer interviews, fewer public meetings, fewer appearances and I will have to spend more time directly overseeing the jobs being done, because the problem we have had is one of non-delivery.”

Asked if that will mean he is less of a public figure in the coming months Mr Farage said: “I’m afraid I’m going to have to be. It’s not what I intended but we do need to get a grip on things. We do need to professionalise things and so I’m going to have to take a much more direct, managerial role.”

What’s the biggest problem facing Ukip?
They’re not professional enoughThe fact that they’re not polished is an asset to them – it’s our voting system that limits themNigel Farage has too much control over the partyNigel Farage doesn’t have enough control over the partyThey don’t promote or value women

However, Mr Farage also said that he “hopes” Ukip members are “enthusiastic amateurs”.

“In many ways I think that enthusiastic amateurs and people who actually believe in what they are doing is in a way our key energy point and our key dynamic,” he said. “All you have to do with that is to make sure that it’s managed and directed in the right way.”

Mr Gilpin has said that his departure was prompted by Mr Farage’s refusal to implement his plans.

“I left by mutual agreement in response to my dissatisfaction at the fact I was not being allowed to do the job I was hired to do, which was to professionalise the party,” he said.

The party has not said who will replace him, but rumours suggest Mr Farage wants Neil Hamilton, the former Conservative MP who joined Ukip in 2002.

A Ukip spokesman said that Mr Gilpin “leaves with a great deal of warmth“.

Clearly the article above shows just how much of a problem Farage and his party have – the dilema is that having regularly purged his party of anyone who might challenge or outshine his particular talents as a performer he now findas himself in a position of desperation where he feels forced to give up the one thing he is indisputably good at – being the affable cheeky chappie as a performer with his 3 or 4 set speeches and his readiy if disingenuous smile acting as the party performer and face of the party to try to manage the party – a job for which he has shown no ability nor credibility.

We must remember that it was Farage who has repeatedly promised to professionalise the party before elections over many years yet has abjectly failed to deliver. It was also Farage who promised the electorate that no one in UKIP would ever employ family, on Meridian TV and elsewhere, yet was exposed paying his wife Kirsten £30,000 a year by Daniel Foggo in the broadsheet media.

Subsequently it was shown that even his constituency office was not only unaware of this dishonest scam but could identify no work that Kirsten Farage performed for the party!

Then it was found that despite reaffirmation of the promises Farage’s drinking buddy Godfrey Bloom was not only renting a family owned property but employing members of his family. There were also allegations that Farage’s long term associate Gerard Batten was using UKIP money to publish anti Islamic pamphlets likely to incite racial disharmony and paying over the odds to his brother to print them!

It has also been shown on the public record that sums of money which may well exceed at least a £Million has been spiritted away unaccounted for not to mention substantial sums of money converted from the party RBS bank account as unaccountable cash.

There is also the matter of over 50% of Nigel Farage’s office account of some £450,000 being glibbly dismissed as ‘Sundry expenses’  whilst the accountant who presented the account from the trial balances of David Samuel Camps (Office Manager of a staff of 2!) the accountant was paid £6,000!!!

What happened to the cinsequential amount of cash collected in buckets by Nigel Farage’s placement John Moran, during the period when UKIP was trying to gain publicity from their breech of electoral law, for which they were found guilty!
OR
for that matter what happened to over 85% of the cash collected as a result of the Ashford, apparent scam, also involving the proven liar John Moran and others – it was Richard Suchorzevski who exposed the probable fraud and theft of the money which the chairman at the time David Bannerman admitted in a public meeting was unaccounted but that less than 15% of the money collected ever reached UKIP!

Now we are expected to believe that Nigel Farage has the skills, competence and experience to professionalise his party – I think not, when you consider his staggering lack of jusgement when it comes to appointments and backing them, to name a few:
Godfrey Bloom, Mark Croucher, Clive Page, Annabelle Fuller, Hugh Williams, Robert Kilroy Silk, Marta Andeasen, David Bannerman, Christopher Monkton, Andrew Smith, Tom Wise, Mick McGough, Douglas Denny, Neil Hamilton, Michael Pearson, Gawain Towler and many others who have similarly proved to be catastrophic for the party in their own varied ways.

Clearly Fasrage is NOT the man to professionalise his party he has shown he is not fit for the job!

UKIP chief walks out after only eight months after struggling to adapt to ‘individualistic DNA’ of the party

  • Chief executive Will Gilpin ‘far better suited to’ corporate IT, say party sources
  • Former RAF pilot hoped to make UKIP more professional
  • Ex-Tory MP Neil Hamilton rumoured as replacement

The chief executive of UKIP has left after only eight months in the job, because he struggled to adapt to the ‘individualistic DNA’ of the party.

Will Gilpin, a former RAF pilot, started at the UK Independence Party last December, hoping to make it more professional.

But Mr Gilpin, who has also worked as a computer security guru and Home Office adviser, is now returning to corporate IT, which party sources say ‘he is far better suited to’.

‘Mutual agreement’; Will Gilpin will leave his role as chief executive of UKIP

'Mutual agreement': Will Gilpin will be leaving UKIP after only eight months to return to corporate IT ‘Better suited’: Gilpin will return to his career in corporate IT

Mr Gilpin, a former RAF pilot, started at the UK Independence Party last December, hoping to make it more professional.

But Mr Gilpin, who has also worked as a computer security guru and Home Office adviser, is now returning to corporate IT, which party sources say ‘he is far better suited to’.

The party said Mr Gilpin had struggled to adapt to working at a smaller organisation which relied heavily on volunteers, and where the ‘DNA is individualistic’.

UKIP insisted there was no bad blood and that the decision not to renew his contract had been made by ‘mutual agreement’.

A party spokesman said: ‘We thank him for his time, effort and the hard work he has put in and wish him all the best for the future.’

A source added that there was ‘no question of Will failing in the role’.

There is now speculation that former Tory MP turned UKIP supporter, Neil Hamilton, may take the top role. But the spokesman said he was ‘not aware’ of this.

Mr Gilpin, who describes himself as ‘socially liberal’, graduated from Cambridge with a computer science degree.

The former Tornado pilot also has a psychology degree from the Open University, makes films and builds websites.

He has already updated his profile on professional networking site LinkedIn.

It lists his past occupation as ‘CEO/Head of IT for a political party’. It does not name UKIP.

Mr Gilpin has also worked for the Home Office, Learning and Skills Council, Lloyds TSB and BP.

Top job: Former Tory MP Neil Hamilton has been rumoured to be in line for the chief executive role in UKIP, though the party will not confirm this

Top job: Former Tory MP Neil Hamilton has been rumoured to be in line for the chief executive role in UKIP, though the party will not confirm this

UKIP has enjoyed a huge surge in popularity over the past year and is now third in the opinion polls, at 14 per cent, in front of the Lib Dems on ten per cent.

But it has still been embroiled in controversy thanks to some of its more eccentric members.

Earlier this month, it emerged that UKIP candidate Dean Perks had given a speech supporting Sharia law. He said if someone was faced with the threat of having their hand chopped off, they would not steal.

Just days later, UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom prompted outrage by suggesting that foreign aid was going to ‘bongo bongo land’.

It is clear that the media is developing a contempt for Farage’s partyy and as such UKIP’s meaningful support is bound to be damaging as the truth about their inadequies to the task and both corruption and crass behaviour render the party unfit for office in its present form – A fact that Will Gilpin is merely the most recent of a long line of competent people has shown – though to be fair UKIP has gained in support with the demise of The BNP and as a result of their own racism and anti homosexuality with its associates in their EFD Group!

Hi,

a brief sampling of today’s UKIP PR supplied by Google shows the party to be in disaray yet again demeaning the Leave-The-EU cause as so often before as with:
TOWLER, Gawain 05 advertNow we note their PR Guru Gawain Towler has been selected as a candidate to stand to represent UKIP in the EU elections despite early debacles brought about by his libertine life style and abject failure to manage the UKIP Press Office to much success as displayed by Google alerts today:

There’s no getting away from the fact that poker is a male-dominated game. In the main event of the 2013 World Series of Poker – the game’s world

UKIP’s Press Officer would seem to have failed YET AGAIN to manage either UJIP or the media with any competence no doubt too busy persuing his own ambitions whether in tewrms of his varied perversions or self interest in persuit of a position as a UKIP MEP candidate.

Let us not forget his various falsehoods put to the press and Twitter followers that he has in the past had to retract and his role in the apparent cover-up efforts of UKIP when faced with allegations of sexual abuse and ABH even possibly rape of a young woman who attended their party conference alleged to have been carried out by SH (I understand SW’s name was maliciously added, in all too UKIP style of dishonest defamation, by a rival seeking to defame him!).

Perhaps it is unfair to point out yet again just how extremist UKIP is, with its vile racist, anti homosexual, anti Jewish associates in THEIR CHOSEN Pan EU EFD political Group

One need only glance through UKIP’s chosen prospective MEP list to realise just how bereft of acceptable candidates of any gravitas or leadership skills the party is and even though they can be expected to attract sufficient protest votes to possibly even increase the number of MEPs with whom, based on track record, Nigel Farage is likely to fall out with at least 1/3rd.!

Although UKIP supporters have increased recently with the effective demise of that other extremist party the BNP yet their results in the local elections were risible with a mere 149 councillors elected out of some 1,700+ and of those elected a number have been forced to withdraw due to their odious and unreliable behaviour – UKIP is no closer to gaining a single MP and even in by-elections founders far short of the possibility of electoral success – despite by-elections being a constant venue for protest votes and place incumbents at a disadvantage.

UKIP repeatedly shows its lack of leadership and the criminality of some on its NEC and amongst its claque of supporters – Now, having failed to be selected as an MEP candidate due possibly to the publicity of this web site and of others the liar and cheat Neil Hamilton is tipped to take a leading role in Farage’s corrupt and extremist self serving party!

Ukip leader Nigel Farage accused of letting down ex-Tory high-flyer Rod Richards in selection fight

15 Aug 2013 07:49

Colourful former Wales Office Minister fails in Ukip Euro Election candidate bid

Rod Richards, former leader of the Conservative group in the Assembly

Former Welsh Office Minister Rod Richards has accused Ukip leader Nigel Farage of letting him down badly in the selection of candidates to fight next year’s European Parliament election.

Mr Richards, who had hoped to stand for the anti-EU party in Wales, said he was left shocked when told he had come eighth out of eight would-be candidates in an assessment exercise undertaken by Ukip officials.

The former Conservative MP for Clwyd North West, a reformed alcoholic who was also the first Tory group leader at the National Assembly, is one of the most colourful political figures in Wales.

A Welsh Office Minister under John Major, he was forced to resign after his affair with an animal welfare lobbyist was exposed by the News of the World. He stood down as Tory leader in Wales after being charged with assaulting a woman he met in a London pub. He was acquitted after a Crown Court trial.

Last month we revealed how Mr Richards had joined Ukip and speculated that he would seek nomination as a European candidate.

He told us: “I was very interested in standing as a candidate and contacted Nigel Farage last year. He encouraged me to stand and understood that because of my work as an independent political pundit for the BBC it had been difficult for me to join Ukip up until then.

“He told me that would be no problem and arranged for me to meet the chairman of Ukip, Steve Crowther. I met him in Bristol in February and he also encouraged me.

“A couple of weeks ago I took part in a hustings meeting at the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge, where all the candidates spoke. I was also interviewed by the party panel and did an isometric test.

“I’m not being immodest when I say I have a lot of public speaking experience, and have also been an MP and a Government Minister. I think I performed well on the day.

“I was shocked when I had a phone call from Steve Crowther last Friday and was told I had come eighth out of eight. He told me a lot of people in the party were against me because I had only recently joined – but both he and Nigel Farage had said earlier that wouldn’t be a problem.

“Raising the issue with him in the first place was designed to avoid something like this happening.”

Expressing his dismay at the party leader, Mr Richards added: “When I rang him last Friday he sent me a text saying ‘Will call in a bit’, but I haven’t heard from him since.

“After leaving the Conservative Party it took years for me to get used as an independent political pundit by the BBC and other broadcasters. That income is now lost to me again.”

Nigel Farage
Nigel Farage

Mr Farage said: “It’s perfectly true that I encouraged him to put his name forward for selection. The past is the past so far as I am concerned.

“But as a candidate myself I had absolutely nothing to do with the assessment process – I’ve been completely out of that.”

The Ukip leader confirmed he had promised to phone Mr Richards: “That’s true – I owe him a phone call, and will make it. It’s been a fairly busy period.”

Ukip national chairman Steve Crowther, who was in charge of the assessment process, said: “I like Rod and think he’s an extremely talented and experienced guy.

“The assessment process is immensely detailed and multi-faceted and has been devised to be as objective as possible.

“We had 140 would-be candidates and had to whittle them down to 70. Rod hasn’t been a member for very long and was at a slight disadvantage because he was not so au fait with our ways as others might be.

“On the day he performed very well but not everyone can win.”

Those with a memory and knowledge of UKIP will be well aware this follows the style of UKIP in encouraging high profile individuals to join UKIP – You may remember Robert Kilroy Silk was promised the leadership of UKIP by Nigel Farage in order to persuade him to stand for UKIP as a last minute candidate.

This is a style where other examples can be cited of promises to gain converts – promises never honoured once ‘the mark’ has commited themselves.

I must say that I found this statement:

Mr Farage said: “It’s perfectly true that I encouraged him to put his name forward for selection. The past is the past so far as I am concerned.

“But as a candidate myself I had absolutely nothing to do with the assessment process – I’ve been completely out of that.”

of particularly implausibility! You will note the votes of local members in the selection of THEIR candidates is of absolutely zero significance and that the party constitution expressly permits the party leader to both parachute in cronies at the last minute and select the order of the candidates HIS staff selected using his appointed muppets and puppets on the NEC!

.
Hi,

further to the extensive coverage of the initial claims of rape and subsequent allegations against SH & SW of if not over sexual assault at very least sexual abuse and harrassment which UKIP’s internal investigation would seem to have been crass, inappropriat5e and iresponsible with all the apparent value of a party cover up involving very senior members of UKIP and their self serving inner claquer.

The new stage of a police enquiry MAY bring justice in a manner that was never likely in the style of actions taken by UKIP leadership and press officer who it is abundantly clear lack ethical understanding or moral leadership.

Police launch inquiry into alleged assault at Ukip conference

West Midlands Police are seeing what exactly happened to a woman at last year’s Ukip conference after Julian Smith, the Tory MP, registered his concerns.

Ukip leader Nigel Farage

Ukip leader Nigel Farage Photo: WARREN ALLOTT

Nigel Farage, the leader of Ukip, held an internal investigation into allegations that a female supporter of the party had been assaulted by two activists at its annual conference. The investigation concluded that the woman’s story was inconsistent, and that, if any offence had been committed, it was a minor one.

Now, however, Mandrake hears that West Midlands Police is inquiring into the matter after Julian Smith, the Conservative MP for Skipton and Ripon, formally requested that they do so. I disclosed last month that the woman had alleged that she had had her drink spiked, her dress was ripped and she was photographed.

Smith tells me: “It’s right the investigation now takes its course.” Ukip’s internal inquiry was closed at the end of last year after Michael Greaves, the party’s general secretary, reported his own findings to Farage.

The attack is alleged to have taken place at the Crowne Plaza hotel, in Birmingham, where Ukip’s annual conference was held last September.

It is claimed that the woman’s drink was tampered with at a reception at the hotel, which was attended by some of the party’s senior members. The attack is alleged to have taken place later that night at a room at the hotel.

Hi,

the utter lack of professionalism of UKIP’s leadership is manifest time after time showing just how unfit for purpose they are for the role they claim to wish to fuilfill.

That their selection process with Nigel Farage all but dictating within his clique who is to be a candidate in a Mugabe style rigging of the process – with much show of democracy yet an EU styles near total absence of meaningful democracy by Farage enforcing a corrupting influence through the distortions under the new constitution.

The entire selection process is removed from the local electorate and structured as a National vote managed by the corrupt clique and their supporting claque!

The UKIP candidate who SUPPORTS sharia law: Right-wing party’s activist under fire for saying thieves should have their hands cut off

  • UKIP prospective candidate for Halesowen and Rowley Regis Dean Perks said sharia law works as a ‘preventative’ measure at a recent rally
  • He has previously praised Enoch Powell – labelling him a ‘visionary’
  • UKIP leader Nigel Farage is facing calls to make Mr Perks step down
  • Mr Perks clarified his position on Twitter, stating he was against ‘sharia law in the UK

A UKIP candidate is facing calls to resign after claiming the solution to crime in Britain is sharia law and thieves should have their hands cut off.

Self-employed builder and UKIP activist Dean Perks, prospective candidate for Halesowen and Rowley Regis, shocked supporters at a rally when he suggested the brutal punishment as a legitimate way to tackle crime.

Mr Perks is due to stand for the party at the next general election but leader Nigel Farage is now facing a barrage of calls to get rid of him.

Speaking at a meeting with supporters in Coventry, West Midlands, earlier this year Mr Perks made the shocking claims.

He said: ‘In my opinion, sharia law works as a prevention – and prevention is better than cure.

‘If you think you are going to get your hand chopped off for pinching something, you won’t pinch it.
‘I recently had a conversation with someone who asked what I thought of Sharia law.

‘I said: “Well in all honesty, I do agree with part – but by no means all – of sharia law”. That’s my view – my opinion. I ain’t going to defend myself. I do agree with it.

‘Sharia law, in my opinion, works as a prevention.’

The potential candidate is no stranger to controversy, earlier this year he faced a backlash when he praised the Enoch Powell, claiming he was ‘well liked in the Asian community’ and labelling him ‘a visionary’.

He was also forced to admit calling someone ‘retarded’ via social network Twitter.

The controversies were a far cry from a statement he gave on launching his campaign, claiming he would never bad mouth other candidates.

In launching his campaign for the hotly contested Halesowen and Rowley Regis seat, Mr Perks said: ‘I hope to show people a new type of politician.

‘It is not my intention to bad mouth or attack any other candidates as I believe we should all be in the running for the same purpose.’

However on he was involved in the ugly Twitter spat which resulted him writing: ‘I just asked the question but he will not answer, I think he may be retarded.’

This followed on from an argument with Labour councillor Dave Branwood who asked Mr Perks whether he thought Enoch Powell, whose 1968 Rivers of Blood speech caused his own downfall, was racist.

Mr Perks replied: ‘No. It’s a fact he was very well liked amongst the Asian community. I’d say he was a visionary.’

This led to anti-facist, left wing politicians, including Dudley North Ian Austin MP and several other outraged Twitter users to round on Mr Perks calling him racist.

However, Mr Perks, denied he is racist.

While Mr Perks admits he believes sharia law works, he insisted he was against it being introduced in the UK

He said: ‘I have never studied Enoch Powell. I’m not racist because I’m not afraid to have an opinion. I have a Muslim godson, a Sikh brother-in-law and three mixed race cousins.’

Now he is facing more calls to resign from MPs. John Spellar, Labour MP for Warley, said the comments were typical of the party.

He said: ‘Once again this shows the bizarre sort of candidate that UKIP is attracting.

‘People from all communities will be astonished and appalled that Mr Perks want to bring such barbarity into Britain.’

‘The real question is how did he ever get to be a candidate in the first place. I challenge Nigel Farage to throw him out immediately.’

Khalid Mahmood, Labour MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, said: ‘Sharia law can only be applied in Muslim states.

‘There is no way sharia law could be introduced in the UK and Muslims who live in countries where there isn’t a predominance of Muslims, like here, follow the law of the land.

‘Mr Perks seems to be very confused, you can’t pick and chose with sharia law, you either believe in all of it, or none of it’

Mr Perks did not make clear which parts of sharia law he agrees and disagrees with and could not be contacted for comment yesterday.

But on his Twitter page he insisted he is ‘against sharia law in the UK’.

UKIP CANDIDATES WHO MADE HEADLINES FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS

Prospective candidate for Halesowen and Rowley Regis, Dean Perks, is hardly the first UKIP candidate to come under fire for his controversial views…

‘Nazi salute was me grabbing phone’

UKIP candidate Alex Wood
Mr Wood denies being a racist

UKIP candidate Alex Wood is pictured apparently making a Nazi salute (left) and clenching a knife between his teeth (left). He said he was reaching for a camera and denies being a racist

Somerset candidate Alex Wood was suspended from the party pending a police investigation into a series of allegedly racist postings on his Facebook page.

In one picture he was photographed apparently making a Nazi salute although he said: ‘The supposed wrong hand salute is actually me grabbing after a friend’s phone.’ In another image, he was pictured in front of a Union flag holding a dagger between his teeth.

He said: ‘‘I am completely against the Nazi beliefs, I am a democratic libertarian.’

‘N***** in the woodpile’

Rob Fraser, a former Tory councillor before becoming a Ukip candidate in Leicestershire, is no stranger to racist controversy having already been investigated twice in the past three years.

One was for using the phrase ‘n***** in the woodpile’ and the second for saying Romanian travellers would ‘stick a knife in you as soon as they look at you’.

He was suspended for a month in 2009 and sent for ‘intensive’ diversity classes. He said at the time: ‘I regret using the phrase but I wasn’t using it in a racist manner…You have to be so careful what you say these days but I can’t stop being me.’

‘I’m not endorsing Jimmy Savile’

Bradley Monk is UKIP candidate for Hampshire County Council

This year’s Hampshire candidate Bradley Monk, 19, wore a mask of DJ paedophile Jimmy Savile to a Halloween party last year. A photo was posted online.

He told The Sun: ‘It was meant as a harmless joke. I’m in no way endorsing Savile — what he did was disgusting.’

‘People won’t think I’m an Adolf Hitler sympathiser’

UKIP candidate Richard Delingpole was forced to defend posting online this picture of himself standing next to Adolf Hitler

UKIP candidate Richard Delingpole was forced to defend posting online this picture of himself standing next to Adolf Hitler

Richard Delingpole, 46, stood for UKIP in Blackmore Vale, Somerset, earlier this year. He posted a photo mock-up on Facebook of himself stood next to Adolf Hitler.  Opponents said the stunt was ‘shocking and abhorrent’ but he said it was a joke to highlight how Tories were trawling social media accounts to embarrass UKIP candidates.

He said: ‘It’s clearly a picture I have Photoshopped, it shows we’ve got a sense of humour.’

‘It’s just ethnic banter’

Chris Scotton, another candidate in Leicestershire this year, was exposed as an activist for the far-right English Defence League, which has been linked to violent demonstration in Leicester and elsewhere.

The 24-year-old was suspended by ULIP for expressing his support for the group on Facebook in 2010.

He also ‘liked’ a site called ‘I hate [it] when I lose my black friend in the dark’, dismissed racism as ‘just ethnic banter’ and ‘liked’ a number of sexist pages on Facebook, including one which derides ‘fat slags’.

‘Exercise stops children becoming gay’

John Sullivan posted these comments online where he appeared to suggest physical exercise 'released boys tensions and thus avoided homo-sexuality'

John Sullivan posted these comments online where he appeared to suggest physical exercise ‘released boys tensions and thus avoided homo-sexuality’

John Sullivan, a candidate in Gloucestershire, was investigated for homophobia, after apparently claiming on Facebook that regular exercise in schools can prevent children becoming gay.

In comments which have since been removed, claimed regular exercise for children ‘released tension and thus avoided homosexuality’, according to a website. He also said supporters of gay marriages were ‘termites’, and congratulated Russia for banning gay pride marches. He is still standing for election.

‘World War Two was engineered by the Jews’

UKIP candidate Anna-Marie Crampton (left) posed with party leader Nigel Farage but was suspended for online comments about the Holocaust

UKIP candidate Anna-Marie Crampton (left) posed with party leader Nigel Farage but was suspended for online comments about the Holocaust

Anna-Marie Crampton, who represented the party in East Sussex, was suspended after claiming that the Holocaust was caused by the Jews.

Web comments made in her name in February said: ‘The Second World Wide War was engineered by the Zionist Jews and financed by the banksters’.

And went on: ‘It was thanks to them that six million Jews were murdered in the war along with 26 million Russians’. She claimed her account had been hacked.

She was suspended pending an investigation.

But she still wrote a song urging people to vote for UKIP. She said: ‘I still endorse UKIP they are the way forward. I am not the only member that has been the victim of a dirty tricks campaign.’

‘Margaret Thatcher is an old w****’

Ken Bell, a candidate for Pendle Central in Lancashire, attracted attention for his unsavoury views since joining Twitter earlier this year, at one point describing Margaret Thatcher as ‘an old w****’, and declaring his admiration for Joseph Stalin.

Mr Bell, who trumpets the fact his wife is from Mexico in campaign literature and describes himself as a socialist and ex-Labour member, has been accused of ridiculing the disabled, being homophobic and making lewd attacks on political opponents. He said he had ‘no regrets’ but has now stood down.

‘Just a general hatred for humans’

Zoe Philpson, who ran for Northumberland County Council, listed her activities on Facebook as a ‘general hatred for most humans’.

She has also ‘liked’ comments such as ‘God made every person different then he got to china and thought F**K IT’ and ‘Two chavs jump off a cliff. Who wins?…society.’

.
Hi,

I appreciate that this is not a fully substantiated article but merely an exemplar of the behaviour of Ukip which was and is all too common, bringing these United Kingdoms into disrepute. howver be well aware that as a story it was considered sufficiently factually informative, by a major broadsheet, to pass its legal department!

That such events occur amongst the supporters of other Parties is neither mitigation nor valid as again and again in Ukip those who are responsible are elected members, staff and and amongst the leadership and its direct aspirants, and Ukip is a relatively small party.

Time and again we hear of such events in Ukip and of mistresses and salaried staff who seem incapable of not abusing those who end up beneath them by use of their positions of authority.

This seems a norm in Ukip where as it is clearly an exception in the main two parties, who clearly have better judgement and more adept disciplinary standards.

‘Spiked drink’ and the night Ukip’s party turned sour

The party faithful at Ukip’s gala dinner were in buoyant mood. Hours earlier, Nigel Farage had delivered a galvanising leader’s speech at the party’s 2012 conference.

The dinner afterwards at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Birmingham offered the leadership and rank and file the opportunity to have a drink, relax and mingle.

The meal was a largely jolly affair, accompanied as it was by a fundraising auction that – this being Ukip – included such desirable items as tea bags in a fancy box and a woven silk portrait of the Queen.

“This was a gathering that featured little of the bombast and none of the slickness of the larger parties’ shindigs,” reported one commentator at the time.

The Crowne Plaza hotel in Birmingham (Alamy)

Yet 10 months on, the repercussions of that night’s events are still being felt.

A female activist has claimed that, amid the frivolity of the evening, she had been subjected to a “brutal assault” by a senior figure in Young Independence, Ukip’s youth wing. She said her drink had been spiked and her dress “ripped down”. She had been spat on, called a “whore”, then photographed in a state of undress to ensure her silence.

The claims finally became public two weeks ago when The Telegraph’s Mandrake column reported some of the details, leaving Ukip open to possible criticism of effectively covering up a crime by not calling in the police.

Last week, Ukip responded by passing to this newspaper a dossier detailing the claims and counter-claims for what happened that night and in the weeks and months following.

What is not contested is that the alleged incident followed the gala dinner on Friday Sept 21, presided over by Mr Farage and the party’s chairman, Steve Crowther. The alleged victim had been placed at a prominent table by Lisa Duffy, Ukip’s party director.

Lisa Duffy

The events that followed are murkier and disputed. At the heart of the case is the woman’s claim – made 12 days after the conference ended – that she had been subjected to a violent assault after her drink had been spiked.

She made the allegations in a number of emails to Miss Duffy and, as a result, the party opened an internal investigation conducted by Michael Greaves, one of its most senior officials. Mr Greaves is Ukip’s general secretary, but also a lawyer with experience at the International Criminal Court.

Last week he released to The Sunday Telegraph a report he had compiled on the case, based on the alleged victim’s emails, an interview with one of the alleged attackers and eyewitness accounts. He did not interview the woman either face-to-face or by telephone.

Mr Greaves has also written a separate, longer account for Mr Farage and Ukip officials.

Steve Crowther

In the version handed to this newspaper, he concluded that the “matter had no legs whatsoever”. After interviewing or taking statements from, among others, Mr Farage’s wife, Kirsten, Mr Greaves felt that the alleged victim’s story contained contradictions that did not stand up to wider scrutiny.

He said that she had been drinking so heavily “she must have been close to causing herself ill-health” and that the day after the attack she “is seen to be in perfectly good nick”, casting doubt on her memory of events and her claim to have been traumatised.

Mr Greaves’s report outlines events from the beginning of the evening of the gala dinner. By then, according to the Ukip account, the alleged victim had already caused a stir.

Mrs Farage had witnessed the woman “coming on strongly” to her husband. The woman, who according to witnesses was “very drunk”, is alleged to have invited Mr Farage back to her room before she was escorted from the party leader’s presence. Mr Farage had “politely declined” her offer.

With dinner over, many of the activists went on to a party hosted by Paul Staines, better known as Guido Fawkes, the political blogger. The woman went too.

Michael Greaves

Mr Greaves wrote in his report: “C [the alleged victim] was again seen by KF [Kirsten Farage] who saw that she was still very very drunk. KF indicates that she continued to drink prodigiously, perhaps 10 further glasses of wine.”

He added: “It is after this period of alcohol consumption that C claims that she was assaulted by having her dress ripped, that she was spat upon and was photographed. One of those involved with her called her a whore.”

The next day, according to the Ukip account, the woman appeared to have made a remarkable recovery. Mrs Farage and Miss Duffy both gave evidence that she was “chatting, laughing and smoking” outside the conference venue and did not look “particularly traumatised”.

Four days later, on Wednesday Sept 26, the woman wrote to Miss Duffy thanking her for seating her at the table, saying: “I am really impressed with the direction that Ukip is taking.”

Eight days on, her tone had changed. In a second email to Miss Duffy, she laid out what she then recalled had happened to her.

“Two of your Young Independence members physically assaulted me quite brutally outside the Crowne Plaza in Birmingham on the gala night,” she wrote.

“I also realise that one of my drinks was spiked and the effects of this lasted two days, including loss of vision which was terrifying and loss of memory which unfortunately for me returned this week. I’ve been really traumatised by this and am not wishing to take things further due to threats being made against me.”

Two days later on Oct 6, the woman wrote again: “I’m still very traumatised… One young guy took me outside, ripped down my dress while another took photographs, spat on me and called me a whore. All I remember is someone saying it was set up.”

She complained of feeling “numb to everything around me” as a result of the spiked drink, and suffered from heavy nosebleeds.

She added: “One young man needs slinging out of the party and reporting to the police. I haven’t done the latter since I didn’t want a scandal for everyone who works so hard in Ukip or a scandal for my family.”

On Oct 18, she wrote again to Miss Duffy: “I am afraid that what I have been through is a very serious matter and I will need to get the police involved. I’m currently seeing a solicitor about the actions of [X] and two others who were also involved in what is an assault.”

It was at this point that Ukip’s leadership, with the knowledge of Mr Farage, asked Mr Greaves to investigate.

“It is not at any stage in this matter for Ukip to report matters to the police,” wrote Mr Greaves in his analysis for The Telegraph.

He drove from Brussels to the UK to interview the alleged attacker – referred to throughout the dossier as X to protect his identity. During the interview, X denied the attack and also gave an alibi.

Mr Greaves concluded after the interview that X was “on the balance of probabilities” telling the truth.

He wrote: “Apart from what I believe to be an untruth about his taking medication, which may be explicable on the basis that someone wanting advancement in Ukip might well decide to conceal a medical condition which seriously affects mood and temperament, the writer [Mr Greaves] had no basis whatsoever to conclude anything other than that X was telling the truth or, at the least, may be telling the truth on the balance of probabilities.”

Following the interview with X, Mr Greaves decided no disciplinary action could be taken against him and wrote a report for party officials and for Mr Farage outlining why.

In his account to this newspaper, he wrote: “At this stage the complaint is, on any view, in a sorry state. C has given accounts which as to material matters are inconsistent with one another, certainly to the eye of a skilled criminal cross-examiner.”

He pointed to a series of inconsistencies, including the email on Sept 26 which made no mention of an assault. The email, he explained, “fatally undermines her later assertions of having been assaulted and having had he [sic] drink spiked”.

Mr Greaves also pointed to discrepancies between her account and statements from Miss Duffy and Mrs Farage among others, not least the alleged victim’s claim that she had suffered nose bleeds and loss of vision, adding: “The evidence of KF and LD entirely contradicts this.”

On Nov 9, Mr Greaves also wrote to the woman, inviting her to make a formal complaint to Ukip, but advising her that if she wished to do so “it is inevitable that other people will have to be involved in the affair”.

In his account, he added: “One might properly and reasonably conclude that any solicitor advising her would give her advice that once she makes a complaint of this kind it would inevitably find its way into the public domain, even before the advent of the egregious era of so-called ‘social media’.”

The woman, who had been to see a lawyer, wrote back promptly saying that she did not wish to lodge a formal complaint with Ukip. But she also wrote on Nov 12 that she had been “blackmailed into keeping quiet and that photographs taken outside the hotel would be used against her”. In the letter, the alleged victim also said for the first time that a woman had “set up the attack”.

Mr Greaves saw this as further proof of her constantly changing story. He also concluded that the attack was not a serious one. “The only complaint made had been one of assault by battery, to the extent of the ripping of a dress (to an unknown extent) and spitting. On any view, it is unlikely that that would attract more than a conditional discharge from the magistrates,” he wrote.

He also pointed out that there was no “sexual aspect” to the case except for the woman’s approach to Mr Farage earlier in the evening when she invited him to room.

Mr Greaves informed Mr Farage of his findings and at that point closed the file on the case.

Ukip’s leadership believed that was the end of the matter, but details began to leak out. In March, the alleged victim posted some of her allegations on a social networking site. “Too many witnesses to what happened. Some have evidence,” she wrote in one message, followed by: “Starting to write a short book about the attack. Finding it incredibly painful but will shame those involved. Someone spat in my face too.”

A few days later she added: “If you’ve been drink spiked go to the police, get evidence.”

Later she wrote: “I don’t know which was worse: waking up the next am and not being able to see properly or blood running down my face and not remembering a thing.”

She has never gone to the police and the West Midlands force has no record of any allegation of assault.

The woman still stands by her story, while Ukip disputes it. The truth is that what actually happened at Ukip’s conference that night in September may never be fully known.

There seems to be an inordinate number of such instances associated with Ukip & Ukip Yooof over the years. Talk of these irresponsible and self indulgent individuals occurs all too often, though as with this instance there seems to be a tendency to manage to ensure it is hushed up, it is allegedly achieved by blackmail and bullying, as was the case in this instance, it seems.

Wonderful just how much silence one can buy with photographs and threats to publish them on the internet I gather!

Alternatively the simple threat that their EU Building pass can be revoked, if they speak out, silences many when groped, abused or raped; as to complain would thus lose them their job – particularly with young attractive Latvians, Lithuanians and the like, ex Communist block, lobbyists and staff.

Hi,I’m no fan of the modern unions and believe they are largely to blame for the rot of British society and its industries, stiffling entrepenuerial efforts and sponsoring the obscene excesses of the Labour Party. Labour like the unions would seem to be largely a scam for rather unpleasant people to exploit the gullible and enrich themselves, in a largely unprincipled manner5.

One only has to look at the vaste wealth Tony Blair created for himself by exploiting political privilege and opportunities or Arthur Scargill who took over a huge union whilst living in a small house with a modest car and exploited the system to create a much smaller and all but irelevant union whilst chauffer driven in an expensive car and living in a large house!

Such a common patern!

I also resent the corruption of the democratic process which has been achieved by unions just as with the various superstition groups in our country be tyhey the bronze age cults & constructs like Islam or christianity or the modern fashionable scams like Greens, Warmists and their odious ilk!

I declined to publish the article below when I first read it on the 13-Jul-2013 as I do not value the opinions of union leaders any more than I value those of prattling priests of whatever superstition! However the article thaty follows this first article adds rather more weright to the comments on UKIP, with which in isolation I largely disagree!

Secret Unite report calls UKIP a ‘pre-fascist’ party: McCluskey’s union says Miliband ‘panders’ to the Right – and plots more control over Labour

  • Scathing report written by former Unite political director Steve Hart
  • Says Labour is not doing enough to oppose ‘austerity’ cuts
  • Criticises Miliband for intervening in Falkirk selection row

By Simon Walters, Mail on Sunday Political Editor

|

Warning: Steve Hart, a recent Unite political director, wrote the key report

Warning: Steve Hart, a recent Unite political director, wrote the key report

Nigel Farage’s anti-EU UKIP party has been condemned as ‘pre-fascist’ and ‘xenophobic’ in a secret report by Len McCluskey’s Unite union.

The report accuses Ed Miliband of ‘pandering’ to Right-wingers, calls Ed Balls ‘deeply disappointing’, says Labour is not doing  enough to oppose the Government’s ‘austerity’ spending cuts and ‘prevaricated’ over fighting the so-called ‘bedroom tax.’

It praises ‘brave’ rebel Labour MPs who defied Mr Miliband by voting against new laws to force the unemployed to take jobs.

It is scathing about the Labour leader’s decision to intervene in the row over claims that Unite tried to rig a Parliamentary selection contest in Falkirk, Scotland.

And it reveals how Unite is to spend £10,000 on up to 100 Labour target seats, focusing on union- backed candidates – with the campaigns run by Unite ‘constituency captains’ – to try to gain more influence over Labour policies after the next Election.

The document, seen by The Mail on Sunday, was written by Steve Hart, who has close links with the Labour leadership and was Unite’s political director until he left last month after a power struggle.

Mr Hart is a former aide to Ken Livingstone and the son of the late Judith Hart, a Left-wing Cabinet Minister who served in Labour governments in the 1960s and 1970s. The confidential report, submitted to a meeting of Unite’s political committee, launches a highly provocative attack on UKIP leader Nigel Farage, warning Mr Miliband not to ‘chase’ his party’s votes.

‘The UKIP vote represents a dangerous, populist Right-wing vote which is swayed by anti-immigrant and anti-European rhetoric – and nostalgia for a comfortable world that never really existed,’ it states.

‘These are all the hallmarks of pre-fascist movements – which is not to say that UKIP is fascist, because it isn’t, but to point to the dangers of ignoring them and the issues or attempting to chase them.’

General Secretary of Unite union Len McCluskey is in the midst of a bitter dispute with Labour leader Ed Miliband over the Falkirk selection battle

Mr Hart adds: ‘The threat of xenophobic UKIP remains very real – in common with Right-wing populism and indeed fascism, which is growing dangerously across Europe.’

In the strongly-worded section on ‘anti-fascism’, the report deplores the ‘outpouring of racism’ over the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, adding: ‘Far too many, in the thrall of Islamophobia, sought to blame Islam. Yet rightly, no one blames Christianity for Jimmy Savile’s crimes.’

The disclosure of the report comes in the middle of a bitter dispute between Mr Miliband and Unite General Secretary Mr McCluskey over the Falkirk selection battle. The Unite-backed candidate, Karie Murphy, a close friend and ally of Mr McCluskey, was suspended from the Labour Party after claims that the union tried to rig the contest, a claim the union denies.

It prompted Mr Miliband to order major changes in Labour’s links with the unions. Defiantly, the union’s ‘General Election plan’ says that ‘in spite of current frustrations and anger’ in the wake of the Falkirk row, its ‘strategic purpose and direction remain clear’.

It makes no attempt to conceal its lukewarm support for Mr Miliband, stating: ‘The worst Labour government is better than the best Tory government.’

It gives details of Unite plans to run its own campaign ‘cells’ in 100 Labour target seats, which will provide supporters with resources, including clothes.

‘Unite will build a structure based on one Constituency Captain and field organisers. The Constituency 10 will have responsibility for organising 10 contacts with each Unite member in the seat 20 months before the Election.’

The document makes it clear that despite its setback in Falkirk,  it remains determined to get as many pro-Unite Labour candidates as possible, and in secrecy,  if necessary.

‘Our work in selections is a bit like a swan, all that can be seen is indication of support here or there, while below the water, activity is furious.’

It says the activities of Unite’s political department is ‘dominated currently by candidate selection matters’, and it adds: ‘We  have had to park some areas of  work temporarily – selections wait for no one.’

To read the original article CLICK HEREIt is sad that UKIP with so sound a policy when they espoused Leave-The-EU has become so befouled and corrupt and utterly beredt of competent leadership, ethical standards and any gravitas with the unfortunate Nigel Farage, for all his talents as an entertainer, portrayed as something of a clown by the party he controls to promote him!

Populism may provide ‘shock’ results and publicity but showing ones leader as beset with his various doxies with an omni present, nay even mandatory, pint in hand as some sort of degenerate louthario is hardly meat for long term respect and results, compounded by promotion of his addiction to cigarettes and glee at breaking the law and like a small boy who tells juvenile toilet jokes Farage may get publicity being rude and offensive but he demeans democracy and undermines his own long term credibility.

That UKIP Press Office has a long list of liars, degenerates and criminals as its staff perhaps points the way to the source of his inept PR.

Just how inept the PR is is shown by the vile behaviour of its many faces with a few like Douglas Denny, Mark Croucher, Annabelle Fuller, Gawain Towler, Clive Page, Gulliford, Batten, Bloom and their ilk and the serial use of the corrupt influence of those who shelter their shame at their dishonesty and unpleasant efforts to denigrate & defame those who seek to expose the corruption and have adult conversations to try to make UKIP fit for purpose, by anonimising their output or using pseudonyms in their embarrassment.

Consider this article below where the Farage Party can not even agree on what excuses to use for their odious behaviour:

I was booted out of UKIP for my links to trade unions

Friday, July 19, 2013

A former UK Independence Party (UKIP) candidate in Devon, who followed Nigel Farage on his infamous tour of Scotland, claims to have been expelled for being a trade unionist.

David Smith, a retired teacher and bus driver who was in line to stand as an MEP, has branded his local Exeter branch a “renegade” operation and appealed to the colourful leader to “sort it out”.

Mr Smith, 64, who braved what Mr Farage branded as anti-English protests in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, said he was told his continued membership of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) was a case of “mixed loyalties”.

The party has angrily rejected the accusations as “fictional” and “ludicrous” – claiming it has growing support among disgruntled former Labour voters – and said Mr Smith’s membership was simply not renewed because he was “not a team player”.

UKIP has become a political force to be reckoned with this year, taking a 23.2% share of the overall vote to gain four seats on Devon County Council for the first time in May. But in Exeter, where Labour won two seats, taking their tally to seven, the party failed to make an impact on Labour or the Tories, who hold the remaining two seats.

Mr Smith was hoping to be selected to become a candidate for the European Parliament in 2015 until he received a letter dated June 17, from Devon-based party chairman Steve Crowther, declining his application to renew his membership and refunding his subscription.

Mr Crowther blamed the refusal on “repeated and sustained round-robin e-mails” making “all kinds of allegations”. “These allegations have been fully investigated and found to have no basis, yet the e-mails have continued,” he wrote.

Mr Smith claims the decision to exclude him should be taken by the National Executive Committee. He said there was an “unofficial policy” against union members, adding: “I want to stay in UKIP to fight EU domination but I have been pushed out – my question to Nigel is are you going to sort it out?”

In a reply to Mr Crowther’s letter, he added: “After travelling to the other end of the UK, canvassing and delivering leaflets in the housing estates of Aberdeen in the run up to the Don by-election where I actively supported our candidate Otto Inglis and Party leader against vociferous demonstrators, some of which were anti-fascists – this was some reward.”

UKIP South West spokesman James Carver said: “Mr Smith’s membership application was not renewed due to circumstances surrounding a breach of electoral law, and his failure to address that important issue to the satisfaction of the local branch committee, when challenged.

“The allegations in his letter are clearly misplaced and inaccurate – UKIP has many trade unionists as members, and at no time whatsoever was he censured for any trade union activity or membership. This is just sour grapes from a former member, who would not work as part of a team, at a time when UKIP is going from strength to strength.”

Hi,

it is sad for those who really, really want to see Britain Leave-The-EU to watch the self destruction of UKIP as it persues numbers rather than results, dignity, gravitas or credibility packing its ranks with low grade supporters of little merit who are themselves so clearly betrayed by the clique leading, or so they would claim, and those who are trying to curry favour for a chance to climb on the gravy train.

We had such high hopes for UKIP as active campaigners and supporters of UKIP only to watch the party dragged into the gutter and exploited by a small clique for their personal gain.

Whether one reads the mainstream media or the vile behaviour of the cowardly anonymised foot soldiers who so demean the party in their efforts to defame those who seek honesty, transparency, democracy and integrity of UKIP in an effort to try to make them fit for purpose as the party that could have led Britain to Leave-The-EU – that has lost its way and its morals in an obvious defence of their personal pursuit of riches with no gutter too befouliong to stand in the way of their inept persuit of income and control.

Tories draw neck and neck with Labour as Ukip support falls

political editor

Conservative support surges to see main parties level for first time since March 2012 on 36% of the vote in Guardian/ICM pollDavid Cameron at No 10. Conservatives are convinced that as growth picks up, the polls will swing decisively to them.

The Conservatives have surged to sit alongside Labour in the polls for the first time in nearly 18 months, largely owing to a sharp fall in support for Ukip, according to the latest ICM monthly poll for the Guardian.

Labour will be alarmed that the two main parties are neck and neck despite the economy showing only tentative signs of starting to recover.

ICM’s telephone poll last month showed a strong Labour lead of seven points, but this month the Tories are benefiting from the continuing collapse in support for Ukip, down from 18% in May – just after its local election success – to 12% in June and now just 7%.

The shares of the vote are Conservatives 36% (+7 on last month), Labour 36% (no change), Liberal Democrats 13% (+1), Ukip 7% (-5), and others 8% (-2).Link to this interactive

It is the best result for the Tories in an ICM poll since they led by three points in March 2012, just before George Osborne’s mishandled budget presaged a series of other errors across the government machine.

The fall in the Ukip share may reflect the recent comparative decline in publicity for the party’s leader, Nigel Farage, and Downing Street’s persistent efforts to neutralise Ukip’s appeal by countering with a series of strong messages on immigration, welfare and a referendum on UK membership of the European Union.

It may also suggest that Ukip support is in part a protest vote exercised in relatively unimportant local elections and that this support dissipates once the protest has been registered.

Ukip is likely to argue that the drop in support has not been reflected in most other polls. At the weekend four online polls showed Ukip support in the high teens, but a new Populus poll showed Ukip on 10%.

Farage’s party will also be banking on a big resurgence of interest during the European parliament elections next June, when it will hope to come first in terms of national share of the vote.

The ICM poll findings do not appear to reflect any change in the underlying support for Labour since the party’s standing of 36% remains unchanged on last month – although party supporters may hope to dismiss it as an outlier.

By contrast, the running YouGov daily online poll shows Labour leading by about 11 points, a hardening in its ratings after an apparent softening in the previous fortnight.

The ICM poll also contains a clear warning for the chancellor: two-thirds (65%) do not believe his promise, made last week, that the deficit can be cut after the election without raising taxes.

There is a majority scepticism on this issue across the political spectrum, with 57% of people who voted Conservative in 2010 agreeing (2010 Lab, 70%; 2010 Lib Dem, 75%).

That suggests the Tories will struggle to damage Ed Miliband and Ed Balls in the next election campaign simply by warning of a Labour tax bombshell if elected.

The findings may also reflect the unwillingness of any voter to answer positively if asked a question that implies the respondent trusts a politician.

At the weekend the Lib Dem business secretary, Vince Cable, threw a new argument into the likely election tax and spending debate by saying he did not believe the last Labour government had spent too much in the run-up to the banking crash, but instead had failed to regulate banking.

Other Lib Dems, including the deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg, have persistently argued that the deficit was created by Labour overspending before 2008.

But overall, the Conservatives will be delighted with the ICM findings. Conservatives are convinced that as growth picks up over the next 12 months, the polls will swing decisively to them.

Cameron is also due to take the cabinet to a celebratory “away day” at Chequers on Thursday, where they are expected to hear political as well as government briefings before parliament goes into recess. A reshuffle in the ministerial ranks outside cabinet, which had been pencilled in for this week, now looks likely to take place in the autumn.

Conservative ministers are privately sceptical that they have drawn level with Labour yet, basing their judgment on other polls and doorstep response. They still maintain it will be very hard to win an overall Commons majority.

Ed Miliband’s brother, David, in a valedictory TV interview at the weekend, cautioned against the conventional wisdom that a hung parliament was likely after the next election. The British public may move decisively in favour of one of the main parties, he said, adding that there was still a “great danger” they might choose the Tories.

Lib Dems will be concerned at the absence of any sign in the ICM poll that their overall vote is picking up, despite the decline in Ukip support.

The findings appear to confirm the Lib Dems are no longer seen as a protest party, making it harder to win a new constituency.

Danny Alexander, the Lib Dem Treasury chief secretary, will on Tuesday publish the result of a Cabinet Office-led review into a replacement for the Trident nuclear deterrent. The ICM poll shows the public split on the issue.

Three in 10 (31%) think Trident should be replaced (rising to 45% of those who voted Tory in 2010), while an identical number (31%) think it should be slimmed down (rising to 37% among 2010 Lib Dem voters) and 30% think we should no longer have any deterrent (39% among Labour 2010 voters).

In his speech, Alexander is to back a limited replacement.

The poll also shows all three party leaders have judged the public mood correctly by rejecting the 10% increase in MPs’ pay from 2015 proposed by the parliamentary watchdog. The proposed rise would take MPs’ pay to £74,000 in 2015.

The public believe MPs should be paid a shade over £50,000 (£51,620 on average). Men are happier to pay more – at £54,000 – while women think MPs should be paid £49,000. A clear correlation between social grade and pay was revealed: those in the most affluent group, AB, suggest MPs should get £58,000, C1s suggest £55,000, C2s £46,000 and DEs £45,000. Lib Dem voters are the most generous (£61,000), as are people living in the south (£54,000).

ICM Research interviewed a random sample of 1,003 adults aged 18+ by telephone on 12-14 July 2013. Interviews were conducted across the country and the results have been weighted to the profile of all adults. ICM is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.

This seems very similar to the predictions of this blog, in that we have noted a surge in the protest vote where UKIP was ‘used’ as a dustbin for the protest voters seeking their own parties woulmodify their policies.

There has been an upsurge in apparent support for UKIP but as predicted this was little more than a dead cat bounce!

There is no sign of an actual popular uprising against the LibLabCon of which UKIP is a hanger on – The spparent surge in UKIP membership would seem to include dead, past and expired members and as UKIP boasts of a small head office staff it seems all too likely that their records are very poorly kept and deletions are long over due.

Little wonder that UKIP’s principle backer the retired professional gambler Stuart Wheeler has not only watched his fortune diminish, since selling his bettimng business, but has also finally woken up to the near total lack of competent leadership in UKIP, making it clear that firstly he did not trust them and would only donate if HE was appointed Party Treasurer a position in which he was happy to turn a blind eye to what seems to have been the criminal;ity of UKIP’s accounting procedures and the perceived trousering of upwards of £Millions by the small clique at the top.

It is not a matter of look how well UKIP has done in regaining the near 20,000 members he lost but just think how well UKIP might now be doing had they had a leader with the competence to devise strategies, tactics and a clear exit and survival strategy addressing Article #50 and taking a lead rather than seeking to sabotage efforts to petition Parliament to force a referendum debate which was achieved by Nikki Sinclaire the ex UKIP MEP who refused to remain in Nigel Farage’s racist and unpleasant EU EFD Group.

UKIP had chance after chance but as ‘chancers’ they have achieved little more than to provide the media with a useful tool to exploit using UKIP to build a whip with which the LibLabCon could be abused to create a story in default of any notable differences between tyhe main political parties.

It can not have escaped your attention and it surely has not escaped the attention of the very laziest member of the media, that in 20 years UKIP has abjectly failed to make any notabvle inroads in British domestic politics with no MPs, no Police presence with no Mayors and out of 1,700+ candidates put forward a mere 147 elected!

From this obvious failure it is clear UKIP has fallen back since the elections and has come nowhere near gaining seats in subsequent by-elections.

To some extent realising the catastrophic position of his protege party or is that ‘toy’ is now trying to make the party seem to be something other than the one man band it is and portrays itself as as he seeks to restrain Nigel Farage’s showmanship as the only regular representative of the party.

As we predicted and reported some time ago even Ms. James is not only sidelined by the party but openly attacked by some of the parasites seeking approval and income at the gift of Nigel Farage, as with the unpleasant postings made by the unreliable witness and to be frank outright liar, Annabelle Fuller.

Efforts to make the party more professional, as promised year after year by Farage, have been little more than a shambles with the abuse of power as manifest by the undemocratic and self serving determination of Farage to hand choose HIS prospective MEPs, from amongst his cronies and drinking buddies – we even have the risible specter of Farage, endlessly and stupidly presented, of Farage as the cheeky chappie in the pub and always with a drink in hand – the most crass of PR styles available that, though it brings publicity in the short term, has reflected with the serial failure of Farage and his party to achieve anything of note in efforts to reach Westminster beyond destabilising Tory voters adequate4ly to make way for Labour and what a catastrophe that is!

UKIP has thus made way for a return to the unlucky 13 years of destruction of Britain by Labour who are a party at war with itself where it is clear that short of manacle David Milliband to load him on the plane he was forced out of Britain as a clear force against the weak kneed and inept brother he has so clearly left behind! Labour, like UKIP, has no visible alternative totheir present leader whose abilities are clearly inadequate – this leaves way for the hand of their own ‘Brutus’ from amongst their inept and uninspiring leadership claque and the clique itself – In both parties, but there is no one of aptitude with leadertship skills in either party – The Tories are little better off and the LibDims are a joke.

UKIP has lost its way as it lurches along like an habitual drunk, in an ever befuddled state preaching Libertarian claims and practicing centralised authoritarian authoritarian control in a libertine and louche regimen.

UKIP would do far better if it were to spend more time planning, dervising strategy and tactics and showing just how and why Britain will be Better-Off when it Leaves-The-EU whilst trying to understand the Treaties and the importance of The Treat of Vienna and the details of Article #50 and the due process of devising an exit and survival startegy for Britain in the light of the authority of both the various Treaties and the significance of CODEX, The WTO and the like.

Saddly UKIP are unlikely to do the work essential when there is the omni present opportunity of excercising the expense account and getting a drink – as the photos and comments of Nigel Farage and his clique so readily show as they campaign to keep pubs open and smoking as a plus point on the agenda like naughty schoolboys who want to show off!

These are not politicians but self serving aspirants to ego fed incomes beyond their wildest dreams or abilities. They are clearly unfit for purpose and as Stuart Wheeler has made abundantly clear ‘not to be trusted’!
