Has UKip Morphed Into A rather  Toxic Nationalist & Racist Rabble, as a result of the collapse of the BNP & its fight for seats on the EU gravy train – A rabble that would sell British values down the river in return for a place at the EU troughs?

Hi,
sadly Dan Hodge’s article below, though classic ‘Click Bait’ and from aits own desperate desire to see the evils of New Labour in control, has more than a shred of truth to it.
I believe those supporting New UKip, which now he brands as ‘Tea Kip’. but for which I coined the name EUkip some years ago – should stand in front of their mirrors and look themselves in the eye and ask if the destruction of Britain is what they really stand for in their desperate scrabble for a place on the gravy train
GRAVY TRAIN 01There is little chance of UKip getting MPs elected next year and even less chance of their having any significant place at Westminster – despite their clamouring for EUKip peers regardless of their abject failure in domestic elections with Zero MPs and very few Councillors elected in their 21 years!
There is however the bitter cry of ‘destroy the Tories’ and ‘we won’t negotiate while Cameron is Tory leader’ in fact anything to destabilise Westminster to gain a toe hold – Far from winning them seats such views lose them votes which ensures that they will fail to gain seats but WILL destabilise the election sufficiently to ensure THE ONLY PARTY able, albe it grudgingly as a result of Nikki Sinclaire’s petition and resultant House of Commons debate, grant these United Kingdoms an In/Out referndum on membership of the odious EU.
Not only is EUkip seemingly willing to risk a continuance of the muddled politics of a Tory Lib.Dim. coalition with a weakened Tory party that can no longer deliver a referendum but in coalition with the treacherous and inept Lib.Dims. alternately the unholy alliance for the sake of power of Labour and Lib.Dem. – worse still they may even be responsible for the destruction of Britain, in their greed, by permitting another period of corrupt and incompetent rule by Labour, as if people are too stupid to realise the damage done by the evil and criminal treachery of Blair & Brown’s self serving and economically illiterate persuit of power and wealth.
Indeed Dan Hodges has some sound points, though to be sure he has a very dubious and distateful motivation in his support for Labour!

How the Tea Kippers hijacked Ukip and turned it into a toxic brand

What does Nigel do next? I suspect it’s a question the leader of the People’s Army has been asking himself a fair bit in the days following Ukip’s surrender to the forces of the establishment at Newark.

Of course he may not have been asking himself any questions. Nigel Farage may have bought into the line that Newark was a triumph. Another of those Ukip by-election defeats that presages victory tomorrow.

In which case it really is all over. We can shut the book on Ukip, and its leader.

But for the sake of argument let’s assume Farage woke up on Saturday morning and said to himself: “Hang on, that wasn’t supposed to have happened. I’m meant to leading a popular revolution here and the government of the day just gave me a good hiding in a parliamentary by-election. Something’s not right.” What then?

The first thing Nigel Farage needs to recognise is the party he’s leading isn’t the party he thinks he’s leading. Two years ago Ukip were easily defined. They were, to borrow a phrase from Nick Clegg, “the party of Out”. Labour and the Lib Dems were Europhiles. The Tory party were Euroagnostic. Ukip, in contrast, were the only genuine Eurosceptics.

Yes, they came across as a bit eccentric. A little obsessed, as single-issue parties tend to do. But they were essentially harmless. They had a charismatic leader. And they were tapping into a suspicion about the grand European project that was shared by a significant section of the electorate on both the Left and Right of the political spectrum.

Slowly but surely, however, Ukip has been the subject of a political takeover. The Kippers have given way to Britain’s equivalent of the Tea Party, the Tea Kippers.

The Tea Kippers don’t view Ukip as a single-issue party. Or a political party at all. They see Ukip first as a movement. Then an uprising. And finally a vehicle for unleashing a political civil war on a Britain they despise and no longer understand.

Like the entryism of Trotskyists into Labour in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the rise of the Tea Kippers was the product of many factors. The compromises forced on the Tory and Liberal Democrat parties by coalition. The failure of Labour to establish itself as an effective opposition. The collapse of the BNP. The lingering sense of disillusionment with the political class in the wake of the expense scandal and the 2008 crash.

And like most successful entryists, the Tea Kippers had no recognised leaders as such. But their ideology was neatly expressed by James Delingpole in last week’s Spectator. “What Ukip needs is a moment equivalent to the one in the mid-1970s when, shortly after becoming Tory party leader, Margaret Thatcher slapped down Hayek’s Constitution of Liberty on the table and declared ‘This is what we believe.’ What Ukip needs is an ‘-ism’.”

Well until recently Ukip had an “-ism”. It was called “Euroscepticism”. But in a desperate attempt to “broaden its appeal” and “tap into the public mood” it’s managed to get itself a new “-ism”. Racism.

Several weeks ago I wrote about how Nigel Farage’s attempt to seize the issue of immigration, and exploit it had backfired. The European elections were his opportunity to plant his party firmly in the political mainstream, I said. Instead, he was toxifying the Ukip brand.

And so it proved. In Newark we saw the first ever mobilisation of the anti-Ukip vote. One Tory MP told me, “What I heard on the doorstep was “I voted Ukip in the Euro elections, but I’m not going to help them elect their first MP”. There is a stigma attached to Ukip that wasn’t there at that start of the year.

The Tea Kippers don’t really care. It merely helps them convince themselves of their radical purity. But Nigel Farage should care.

If Ukip’s leader wants to reclaim his party he needs to do three things. The first is that he has to publically and unequivocally acknowledge that his European election campaign was wrong. Not that he was tired, or he had the odd off day. He needs to admit it was a strategic – never mind moral – mistake to push on immigration so aggressively that it tipped over into naked prejudice.

The second thing he needs to do is stop buying into the hype. Ukip are not a revolutionary movement set to shatter the mold of British politics. They have several MEPs, a handful of councilors and no MPs. They are likely to have no MPs after the next election. Farage has to start to manage expectations, in particular amongst the army of Cyber Tea Kippers who in the excitement of the last month have lost their final tenuous grip on reason.

The third thing he has to do is return Ukip to its roots. Ukip is a success when it sticks to what it knows best. And what it knows best is how to construct a case against Brussels.

It was noticeable in the debates with Nick Clegg that Farage was at his most comfortable and most persuasive when forensically dissecting the failures of the EU. It was when he started ranging into immigration, gay marriage, women’s representation in the workplace etc, that he lost his way.

And that’s because it’s not his way. It’s the Tea Kippers’ way.

Nigel Farage will not take the Westminster ramparts. Newark proved that, as did Ukip’s poorer than expected showing in the local and European elections.

But in three years’ time there will be a referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU. David Cameron will campaign for Britain to stay in. Nick Clegg will campaign for Britain to stay in. Chuka Umunna, or whoever is Labour leader at the time, will campaign for Britain to stay in.

And the “Out” campaign will be looking for a figurehead. Someone who can articulate the anti-European case in a way that resonates with a public increasingly inclined to stick with the Junker they know.

That referendum represents Nigel Farage’s opportunity. But only if he is leader of Ukip, not leader of the Tea Kippers.

Whoever leads the campaign for Britain to leave the EU has to be able to unite the disparate Eurosceptic tribes. Two years ago Nigel Farage could have brought together both Left and Right in common cause. If the referendum was held tomorrow, they wouldn’t touch him with a bargepole. And the anti-Farage vote alone would hand the Europhiles victory on a plate.

That’s the question Nigel Farage has to address. Is Ukip his party? Or is it the Tea Kippers’ party? He hasn’t got long to come up with an answer.

Hi,I’m no fan of the modern unions and believe they are largely to blame for the rot of British society and its industries, stiffling entrepenuerial efforts and sponsoring the obscene excesses of the Labour Party. Labour like the unions would seem to be largely a scam for rather unpleasant people to exploit the gullible and enrich themselves, in a largely unprincipled manner5.

One only has to look at the vaste wealth Tony Blair created for himself by exploiting political privilege and opportunities or Arthur Scargill who took over a huge union whilst living in a small house with a modest car and exploited the system to create a much smaller and all but irelevant union whilst chauffer driven in an expensive car and living in a large house!

Such a common patern!

I also resent the corruption of the democratic process which has been achieved by unions just as with the various superstition groups in our country be tyhey the bronze age cults & constructs like Islam or christianity or the modern fashionable scams like Greens, Warmists and their odious ilk!

I declined to publish the article below when I first read it on the 13-Jul-2013 as I do not value the opinions of union leaders any more than I value those of prattling priests of whatever superstition! However the article thaty follows this first article adds rather more weright to the comments on UKIP, with which in isolation I largely disagree!

Secret Unite report calls UKIP a ‘pre-fascist’ party: McCluskey’s union says Miliband ‘panders’ to the Right – and plots more control over Labour

  • Scathing report written by former Unite political director Steve Hart
  • Says Labour is not doing enough to oppose ‘austerity’ cuts
  • Criticises Miliband for intervening in Falkirk selection row

Warning: Steve Hart, a recent Unite political director, wrote the key report

Warning: Steve Hart, a recent Unite political director, wrote the key report

Nigel Farage’s anti-EU UKIP party has been condemned as ‘pre-fascist’ and ‘xenophobic’ in a secret report by Len McCluskey’s Unite union.

The report accuses Ed Miliband of ‘pandering’ to Right-wingers, calls Ed Balls ‘deeply disappointing’, says Labour is not doing  enough to oppose the Government’s ‘austerity’ spending cuts and ‘prevaricated’ over fighting the so-called ‘bedroom tax.’

It praises ‘brave’ rebel Labour MPs who defied Mr Miliband by voting against new laws to force the unemployed to take jobs.

It is scathing about the Labour leader’s decision to intervene in the row over claims that Unite tried to rig a Parliamentary selection contest in Falkirk, Scotland.

And it reveals how Unite is to spend £10,000 on up to 100 Labour target seats, focusing on union- backed candidates – with the campaigns run by Unite ‘constituency captains’ – to try to gain more influence over Labour policies after the next Election.

The document, seen by The Mail on Sunday, was written by Steve Hart, who has close links with the Labour leadership and was Unite’s political director until he left last month after a power struggle.

Mr Hart is a former aide to Ken Livingstone and the son of the late Judith Hart, a Left-wing Cabinet Minister who served in Labour governments in the 1960s and 1970s. The confidential report, submitted to a meeting of Unite’s political committee, launches a highly provocative attack on UKIP leader Nigel Farage, warning Mr Miliband not to ‘chase’ his party’s votes.

‘The UKIP vote represents a dangerous, populist Right-wing vote which is swayed by anti-immigrant and anti-European rhetoric – and nostalgia for a comfortable world that never really existed,’ it states.

‘These are all the hallmarks of pre-fascist movements – which is not to say that UKIP is fascist, because it isn’t, but to point to the dangers of ignoring them and the issues or attempting to chase them.’

General Secretary of Unite union Len McCluskey is in the midst of a bitter dispute with Labour leader Ed Miliband over the Falkirk selection battle

General Secretary of Unite union Len McCluskey is in the midst of a bitter dispute with Labour leader Ed Miliband over the Falkirk selection battle

Mr Hart adds: ‘The threat of xenophobic UKIP remains very real – in common with Right-wing populism and indeed fascism, which is growing dangerously across Europe.’

In the strongly-worded section on ‘anti-fascism’, the report deplores the ‘outpouring of racism’ over the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, adding: ‘Far too many, in the thrall of Islamophobia, sought to blame Islam. Yet rightly, no one blames Christianity for Jimmy Savile’s crimes.’

The disclosure of the report comes in the middle of a bitter dispute between Mr Miliband and Unite General Secretary Mr McCluskey over the Falkirk selection battle. The Unite-backed candidate, Karie Murphy, a close friend and ally of Mr McCluskey, was suspended from the Labour Party after claims that the union tried to rig the contest, a claim the union denies.

It prompted Mr Miliband to order major changes in Labour’s links with the unions. Defiantly, the union’s ‘General Election plan’ says that ‘in spite of current frustrations and anger’ in the wake of the Falkirk row, its ‘strategic purpose and direction remain clear’.

Slur: Nigel Farage's UKIP party supporters are described as dangerous

Slur: Nigel Farage’s UKIP party supporters are described as dangerous

It makes no attempt to conceal its lukewarm support for Mr Miliband, stating: ‘The worst Labour government is better than the best Tory government.’

It gives details of Unite plans to run its own campaign ‘cells’ in 100 Labour target seats, which will provide supporters with resources, including clothes.

‘Unite will build a structure based on one Constituency Captain and field organisers. The Constituency 10 will have responsibility for organising 10 contacts with each Unite member in the seat 20 months before the Election.’

The document makes it clear that despite its setback in Falkirk,  it remains determined to get as many pro-Unite Labour candidates as possible, and in secrecy,  if necessary.

‘Our work in selections is a bit like a swan, all that can be seen is indication of support here or there, while below the water, activity is furious.’

It says the activities of Unite’s political department is ‘dominated currently by candidate selection matters’, and it adds: ‘We  have had to park some areas of  work temporarily – selections wait for no one.’

To read the original article CLICK HEREIt is sad that UKIP with so sound a policy when they espoused Leave-The-EU has become so befouled and corrupt and utterly beredt of competent leadership, ethical standards and any gravitas with the unfortunate Nigel Farage, for all his talents as an entertainer, portrayed as something of a clown by the party he controls to promote him!

Populism may provide ‘shock’ results and publicity but showing ones leader as beset with his various doxies with an omni present, nay even mandatory, pint in hand as some sort of degenerate louthario is hardly meat for long term respect and results, compounded by promotion of his addiction to cigarettes and glee at breaking the law and like a small boy who tells juvenile toilet jokes Farage may get publicity being rude and offensive but he demeans democracy and undermines his own long term credibility.

That UKIP Press Office has a long list of liars, degenerates and criminals as its staff perhaps points the way to the source of his inept PR.

Just how inept the PR is is shown by the vile behaviour of its many faces with a few like Douglas Denny, Mark Croucher, Annabelle Fuller, Gawain Towler, Clive Page, Gulliford, Batten, Bloom and their ilk and the serial use of the corrupt influence of those who shelter their shame at their dishonesty and unpleasant efforts to denigrate & defame those who seek to expose the corruption and have adult conversations to try to make UKIP fit for purpose, by anonimising their output or using pseudonyms in their embarrassment.

Consider this article below where the Farage Party can not even agree on what excuses to use for their odious behaviour:

I was booted out of UKIP for my links to trade unions

Friday, July 19, 2013

A former UK Independence Party (UKIP) candidate in Devon, who followed Nigel Farage on his infamous tour of Scotland, claims to have been expelled for being a trade unionist.

David Smith, a retired teacher and bus driver who was in line to stand as an MEP, has branded his local Exeter branch a “renegade” operation and appealed to the colourful leader to “sort it out”.

Mr Smith, 64, who braved what Mr Farage branded as anti-English protests in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, said he was told his continued membership of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) was a case of “mixed loyalties”.

The party has angrily rejected the accusations as “fictional” and “ludicrous” – claiming it has growing support among disgruntled former Labour voters – and said Mr Smith’s membership was simply not renewed because he was “not a team player”.

UKIP has become a political force to be reckoned with this year, taking a 23.2% share of the overall vote to gain four seats on Devon County Council for the first time in May. But in Exeter, where Labour won two seats, taking their tally to seven, the party failed to make an impact on Labour or the Tories, who hold the remaining two seats.

Mr Smith was hoping to be selected to become a candidate for the European Parliament in 2015 until he received a letter dated June 17, from Devon-based party chairman Steve Crowther, declining his application to renew his membership and refunding his subscription.

Mr Crowther blamed the refusal on “repeated and sustained round-robin e-mails” making “all kinds of allegations”. “These allegations have been fully investigated and found to have no basis, yet the e-mails have continued,” he wrote.

Mr Smith claims the decision to exclude him should be taken by the National Executive Committee. He said there was an “unofficial policy” against union members, adding: “I want to stay in UKIP to fight EU domination but I have been pushed out – my question to Nigel is are you going to sort it out?”

In a reply to Mr Crowther’s letter, he added: “After travelling to the other end of the UK, canvassing and delivering leaflets in the housing estates of Aberdeen in the run up to the Don by-election where I actively supported our candidate Otto Inglis and Party leader against vociferous demonstrators, some of which were anti-fascists – this was some reward.”

UKIP South West spokesman James Carver said: “Mr Smith’s membership application was not renewed due to circumstances surrounding a breach of electoral law, and his failure to address that important issue to the satisfaction of the local branch committee, when challenged.

“The allegations in his letter are clearly misplaced and inaccurate – UKIP has many trade unionists as members, and at no time whatsoever was he censured for any trade union activity or membership. This is just sour grapes from a former member, who would not work as part of a team, at a time when UKIP is going from strength to strength.”

Welsh Anti Devolution, for EU Council For the Regions Compliance, might a party be formed for the majority in Wales?

.

~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Hi,
many will remember the ‘Just Say NO’ campaign in Wales and particularly the courage and determination of Carys Pugh and Betty Bowen, both staunch Labour supporters, which received almost zero funding save a relatively small amount from Sir Julian Hodge and such donations they were able to gain from the public. Whereas the Yes campaign received massive financial support from The Labour Part, Unions and other QUANGOs – they also received huge Ministerial assistance and help from Government grant dependent businesses and organisations.
It is also understood that huge corruption took place involving both the Labour Party and others, including changing the rules for counting some seven times, on the day of the ballo0t count and both the deliberate destruction or loss of NO votes and the stuffing of Ballot Boxes with YES votes with the result that Wales’ heritage as a proud Principality in these United Kingdoms was sold out to rule by the Council For the Regions, an EU QUANGO CLICK HERE, on a par with the other regions of The EU such as The Eastern Region, The South West Regions, The West Midlands Region and similar in The UK.
There is little or no doubt that the Devolution of Wales was rigged and not only was it against t6he wishes of the majority it was founded on the lies of such dishonest and in my opinion corrupt and self serving individuals as Tony Blair, Ron Davis, Peter Haine, Derek Gregory and the like.
We have noted for several years that Devolution has been founded largely on lies and has done much harm to Wales and its peoples with no clear benefit being shown, save scams bribes and expenses for those on the gravy train!
We need more parasitic politicians with all the enthusiasm one should welcome other cancerous growths!
Notably John Bufton has muttered a little about his opposition to Devolution but took no notable role in campaigning against it as at that time he clearly had his own ambitions and since becoming a UKIP MEP he has acted in concert with the racism and pusillanimity of UKIP’s other MEPs as acquiescent members of the extremist Pan EU EFD Group.
Might it be that now that John Bufton has announced his intention not to stand again as an MEP for UKIP he is no longer forced to cow tow to Nigel Farage to ensure his selection as a candidate, unlike all others in Farage’s Party where his word is final and any policy or rule can be changed by him without any consultation (some Libertarian!) to ensure the placement of his personal clique of drinking chums and beholden supporters – Has John Bufton developed a back bone?
We shall see!
UKIP MEP John Bufton’s Welsh anti-devolution party idea
Related Stories
Wales’ UKIP MEP has floated the idea of an anti-devolution party after disagreeing with his leader Nigel Farage over the Welsh assembly.
John Bufton, who is standing down as an MEP next year, said Mr Farage was “relaxed” about devolution but he was “totally opposed” to it.
Mr Bufton said many in Wales objected to the assembly and perhaps there should be a party to represent them.
He told BBC Radio Wales the UK needed fewer politicians, not more of them.
Mr Bufton, a former Powys county councillor, pledged his loyalty to UKIP until he stepped down as an MEP but refused to say whether he would support the party in the long term.
“Start Quote
There are a lot of people out there in Wales who are still very much opposed to the Welsh assembly and there needs to be, perhaps, a party to represent them”
John Bufton MEP UKIP, Wales
Speaking on Sunday Supplement on BBC Radio Wales, he said UKIP’s current policy was to abolish assembly members and allow MPs to come “back to Wales then one week a month to do the work of the assembly”.
“I’m one of the old guard I’ve always been opposed to the assembly and still am,” Mr Bufton said.
“What Nigel Farage, our leader, has come out and said in an interview in the last few days is that he’s relaxed about devolution, policing and new fiscal powers. Well, I’m totally opposed to that.
“I personally believe that we don’t need to be doing this. We need to be different from the other parties. We’re basically going to be the same as those so there’ll be no difference at all.”
‘It’s madness’ He added: “There are a lot of people out there in Wales who are still very much opposed to the Welsh assembly and there needs to be, perhaps, a party to represent them.
“It’s up to the members and the leadership to decide which way we go with this, but if they take Nigel’s lead on this then there will be a vacuum, there will be a vacancy and my view is if we have this vacancy there is room for another party.
“It’s still very early to say which way things are happening in Wales and what I decide to do, but people who know me well have known that I’ve campaigned against the assembly from day one and I believe we still have to have an opposition.
“It’s madness to turn around and throw the towel in and say: ‘Yes, let them get on with it.'”
Mr Bufton fears the Welsh assembly will ultimately lead to Wales’ independence and the break-up of the UK.
He is also opposed to an English parliament.
“We’ve had a debate in the party for some time regarding an English parliament, again this is Plaid Cymru’s policy, and I am again opposed to that,” he said.
