Ukip Is Clearly Its Own Worst Enemy In The Long Run, with its leadership, MEPs, Councillors and staff constantly making complete fools of themselves and under investigation for corruption.

Hi,
little wonder that despite everything in favour of a Ukip win in the Police Crime Commissioner by election in South Yorkshire the antics of Ukip themselves gave Labour an open goal where Ukip gained 4.7% of the electorate’s vote about half of that of Labour with 7.4% largely due to a meager 14.9% turnout displaying contempt for a democracy which offers such low grade candidates.
Consider the fact that Ukip’s local MEP Jane Collins clearly has little control of her own behaviour let alone any qualities of leadership or ethics! This does of course ensure yet another area where Nigel farage can count on no challenge in his fiefdom thaty may damage his income stream and personal ambitions!
A party without dignity, competence, ethics, integrity, morality or ability that has failed to show any gravitas, any leadership, any intellectual ability or even any responsible, honourable EU exit and survival strategy after 21 years, with some of the most revolting people in British politics chasing any form of vulgar populism at the expense of these United Kingdoms and the hopes of Leaving_The_EU.
Ukip MEP apologises for apparently calling charity boss a paedophile
Jane Collins deletes tweet to Church Army boss Mark Russell, saying she was ‘a bit hot headed’

A Ukip MEP has been forced to apologise for apparently calling the head of a Christian charity a paedophile on Twitter.
Jane Collins, one of Ukip’s leading politicians, agreed to make a donation to the charity after she implied that Mark Russell was a criminal on the social networking site on Thursday.
Russell, who is a Labour party member and head of the Church Army charity, had posted support for his party’s candidate in the South Yorkshire police and crime commissioner byelection.
But Collins replied, telling Russell: “Yes because we’d soon stop your criminal activity. Paedos leave our kids alone. #Ukip.”
The byelection was prompted by the resignation of the Labour police commissioner Shaun Wright in the wake of the Rotherham child exploitation scandal.
Collins initially refused to apologise for her paedophile implication, saying: “It was aimed at the paedophiles not you.” But she agreed to delete the tweet because it “read wrong”, explaining: “I’m a bit hot headed sometimes.”
She later added: “I apologise for associating you with paedophiles but you’re still supporting a party that has failed our children badly.”
However, Russell said the Ukip MEP was turning her mistake into party politics and threatened her with legal action. Eventually she conceded: “I am in the wrong … I unreservedly apologise for implication.”
Russell told the Guardian the tweet was highly damaging to his work, which includes supporting vulnerable people. It was made worse because Collins’s accusation was retweeted many times by Ukip supporters, he said.
He told Collins: “I’ve dedicated my life to helping kids and your tweet was as hurtful as offensive … this is my reputation.
“I merely encouraged my fellow South Yorks residents to vote for Alan Billings, the Labour candidate.”
Russell is the head of Church Army, an evangelist charity linked to the Church of England that has the Queen as its patron. He said the MEP had offered to make a donation to the group after he threatened to sue her.
Collins’s tweet follows accusations that Ukip exploited the suffering of Rotherham sex abuse victims for political gain in the police and crime commissioner byelection. One victim denounced the party’s tactics as “disrespectful” after it launched a “1,400 reasons to vote” campaign, in reference to the estimated number of victims in the city between 1997 and 2013.
Collins did not respond to emails from The Guardian.
The Cult Followers of Nigel Farage in his claque Just Don’t Understand the damage Ukip is doing to any chance of the Leave_The_EU concept standing a chance of being taken seriously let alone having or winning an IN/OUT Referendum on the EU!

Hi,
it is interesting to note that finally some in the MSM (MainStream Media) are waking up to the facts surrounding Ukip and just how damaging they really are to the true EUroRealist cause and the aim to Leave_The_EU, even showing some signs and glimmerings of hope that they may just be catching onto just why it makes emminent sense to Leave_The_EU and its arcane and outdated experiment in bureaucratic empire building by unelected apparatchiks!
I quote firstly one of the broadsheets and then go on to provide a wealth of further facts and data with widespread links to corroborate my exposee of the Ukip scam!
Of course Ukip won’t condemn its racist new partners, because Ukip is the cult of Nigel Farage
Ukip has allied itself with racists and Holocaust deniers – but as long as that’s OK with Nigel Farage, the cult leader, don’t expect a peep of condemnation from within the party
Nigel Farage, leader of Ukip and purveyor of Kool-Aid
Nigel Farage is always at pains to explain how his party shuns racism and extremism. It’s a sham, of course, as I’ve written countless times before. And his embrace of the KNP proves it’s a sham.
The KNP are racists and Holocaust deniers. In July, KNP leader Janus Korwin-Mikke called for the abolition of the minimum wage in Britain by claiming that “four million n****rs” lost their jobs after John F Kennedy introduced a US national minimum wage in 1961. He also claimed Adolf Hitler “was probably not aware the Jews were being exterminated”.
But, clearly, not contrary to the values of Ukip. Or at least, not contrary enough to prevent them forming a political alliance with them.
The deal with the KNP didn’t happen by accident. Ukip have confirmed they actively courted the party, and that KNP MEP Robert Iwaszkiewicz was seconded to the Ukip grouping with the personal blessing of his party leader.
When he won his seat in the recent Clacton by-election, Douglas Carswell gave a speech in which he said “We must be a party for all Britain and all Britons, first and second generation as much as every other. Our strength must lie in our breadth. If we stay true to that there is nothing we cannot achieve”. As of now he has made no comment on the fact his party has entered joined forces with racists and holocaust deniers.
So as I say, the answer to Iain’s question is no. There will be no voices raised in protest. And there are several reasons for this.
The first is that Ukip – despite their self-indulgent protestations to the contrary – are just as keen on gorging themselves on the European parliamentary gravy train as any other party. That’s why the deal was done – so they could form the grouping, and get their hands on more EU cash.
Another reason Ukip have been happy to get in bed with Korwin-Mikke and his extremists is because Ukip is an extremist party itself. As it has demonstrated, it regards Holocaust deniers and racists as its political soulmates.
And the third is that Ukip is only a party in the loosest sense of the word. In truth it is more akin to a cult, a cult that follows one man, and one man alone – Nigel Farage.
There has been talk in recent weeks about tensions between Farage and the more socially liberal Carswell. How their very differing visions of how Ukip should reach beyond its base could produce splits within the party.
There will be no splits. And that’s because Carswell’s vision is his, and his alone. Ukip are not a party of libertarians. They are a party of worshippers. They worship at the Shrine of Farage. He is the way, the truth and the light.
So no, Iain, there will be no condemnation of Ukip’s new alliance with the racists and holocaust deniers of the KNP. Not unless Nigel Farage – the tweed godhead – decrees it first.
It is clear that Nigel Farage has prostituted Ukip for his own gain, willingly Ukip has not just acquiesced to the principles and ambitions of the EU towards forming Pan EU political parties – Ukip all too clearly embrace the principles of taking the most inappropriate bedfellows in return for access to tax payers money, a typical style of bribery used by the EU.
Consider just how inappropriate Ukip’s position is in following Nigel Farage their cult leader.
Here are details on the leader of the party Ukip’s new partner follows and supports in his native Poland:
By supporting their new partner KNP MEP Robert Iwaszkiewicz Ukip gives credibility and status to the KNP, however Ukip’s indisputable racism, anti homosexuality, misogyny and gutter style of politics in garnering populist votes by fearmongering with their blatant bullying
and incitement to racial hatred by allegiance with other extreme organisations
is all too likely to do mutual damage to the Polish New Right KNP grouping!
You will no doubt be aware already of Ukip’s racist views fr4om their official policy document:
and the various overtly racist pamphlets and pronouncements of their odious MEP Gerard Batten and others in their hate filled bile against Muslims associated with the religious extremists allied to the Nigel Farage cult: CLICK HERE
‘UKIP Christian Soldiers’ at the Doncaster Conference #UKIPConf14 #UKIP
The UKIP Doncaster Conference 2014 UKIP has a Fringe Event, UKIP Christian Soldiers who are hosting C4M whose director is Andrea Minichiello Williams
UKIP ‘Christian Soldiers’ is managed by Rev Ian Walters; Rev Michael Warton and Rev Phillip Foster; retired vicar of St Matthew’s church in Cambridge, author, publisher and climate change sceptic.
UKIP’s Gerard Batten MEP is linked to Christian Concern, via an email we have seen, to Andrea Minichiello Williams, the founder of Christian Concern (CCFON) and Paul Diamond, Standing Counsel to the Christian Legal Centre, and also Gerard Batten’s barrister.
On his meetings with Alan Lake, Batten had this to say:
“Being aware of the phenomenon of the EDL, I wished to establish my own independent assessment of them. I decided therefore, on my own initiative, to meet with Mr Lake. We met in full public view in a cafe in Liverpool St Station for about an hour or more.
Mr Lake gave me his assurances that the EDL were a non-racist, non-violent organisation and that is only concerned with combating the ideology of extremist and fundamentalist Islamism and had no prejudice against Muslims as such.”
One does wonder why a Christian organisation is acting in a legal capacity on behalf of Gerard Batten, and if so, are these suitable people to be leading the massive campaign against Islam and Equal Marriage in the UK and the EU?
Just how close to Ukip these religious extremists are is easy to see, many also believe that they are ‘bank rolling’ Nigel Farage’s cult and clearly the overt racism of Gerard Batten, wherein his odious and extreme anti Islamic stance is all too clearly likely to incite racial hatred based on superstition, derives support from these unpleasant extremists.
Consider the article by Andrea Williams director of the ‘organisation’, titled:
You will note that much of the work of supporters of Nigel Farage’s cult are all too willing to promote membership of the EU or at very least feed from its generous bribes paid from tax payers’ money and use and abuse the law to their own ends as members of the vile supra national experiment!
So embroilled in the EU structure and dependent on it are Ukip that it is entirely reasonable to question whether they actually want to leave as is all too apparent; not just from their friends allies and associates, for a man is all too readily judged by the company he keeps; more significantly it is clear that after 21 years of building towards Nigel Farage’s personal ambitions not one iota of policy of any credible gravitas has emerged from Ukip beyond populist efforts to pander to and exploit the ill informed.
More damning yet is the fact that after 21 years Ukip has absolutely zero ‘responsible and honourable exit and survival strategy’, nor has it EVER put forward such a subject for debate or as a briefing paper – clearly either Ukip does not wish to Leave_The_EU or it totally lacks the intellectual ability to address the subject beyond ‘Ya Boo’ style politics and childish antics in chicken costumes, or with long out of date Scout Cars or APCs on trailers and silly Union Jack hats:
0r as ous leader recently displayed by posturing like a naughty schoolboy on a Tank in a museum exhibit:
when will they realise that schoolboy pranks with blow up bulldozers and the like merely bring attention to their lack of grasp of the realities of the situation and infantile name calling in the EU’s risible so called Parliament clearly lacks any gravitas all of which is no substitute for doing the hard work and facing the challenge of researching a ‘responsible and honourable exit and survival strategy’.
Even the banal slogan on young Rob McWhirters placard ‘Say No to EU Regulations’ displays a stunning lack of understanding of what the EU is and how it functions!
Just for the record for anyone in Ukip, though they are unlikely to be in Nigel Farage’s immediate clique nor even in his claque and cult following, there may just be some with the intellectual ability to start to try to grasp the facts as a stepping stone to trying to help Get_Britain_Out and to Leave_The_EU sufficiently to help achieve that aim rather than in continue to damage the cause with support of the greed, racism and antics of the clowns in Ukip – to them I dare to suggest they consider the facts in brief CLICK HERE before they progress to the harder task of studying the only viable and responsible way to Leave_The_EU that is currently laid out in any detail – detail way beyond the abilities of anyone in Ukip as evidenced by their failure to produce one Iota of sound reasoning to date!

Nightclub owner and ‘tantric master’ to stand as Tory candidate at next election
UPDATED: 16:07, 1 October 2009
A nightclub owner who calls himself a ‘tantric master’ has been selected to contest a seat for the Conservatives at the next election. Andrew Charalambous, 38, who also goes by the alias ‘Dr Earth’, claims ‘all you have to do is dance to save the world’ and runs nights at clubs with a hi-tech floor which generates electricity from the movement of dancers. He has been selected for the Edmonton seat in London, currently held by Labour. Jade Jagger, club owner Andrew Charalambous Tory candidate Andrew Charalambous also goes by the name Dr Earth, pictured with Jade Jagger at the launch of Club4Climate in London Mr Charalambous is also a fruitarian and works as barrister and volunteer police officer. He holds a PhD in the parallels between Plato’s utopia and Spartan society. A description of Dr Earth on his website says: ‘He has completed one of the profoundest spiritual journeys in history. ‘We know of no other living person who has travelled to so many countries on a spiritual quest and been taught by so many great spiritual masters from such a diverse plethora of spiritual systems. ‘He is a tantric master initiated in India. He has dated some of the most beautiful women in the world. ‘Andrew describes himself as the first male feminist. He says “women are definitely the superior sex. Society needs less playboys and more men with family values. I am nothing compared to my brothers who are decent family men with children.”‘ Mr Charalambous said: ‘I am the man of all seasons. The person people in semi-detached houses will vote for, the person people in high-rise council estates will vote for. We need politicians people can relate to.’ The eco-warrior has also installed waterless urinals, a wind turbine and solar panels at his club4climate change in King’s Cross nightclub Surya, and claims to be London’s most ethical landlord, owning more than 1,000 properties in the capital. The Edmonton seat is held by Andy Love for Labour and he will defend a majority of 8,000 at the next election. Mr Charalambous, who is of Greek descent, was selected for the seat this week but the choice has surprised some members of the party. One Tory parliamentary source said: ‘It’s nuts. It’s one thing to stand by the “vote blue, go green” theory, but to say we can solve climate change by dance? The scary thing is he could win the seat. It’s a car crash waiting to happen.’ Mr Charalambous stood for the safe Labour seat of Tottenham in 1992 but lost out to Bernie Grant.
Subsequent to this 2009 article aboveNigel Farage made much of having recruited this dubious character and with much fanfare presented him and rapidly elevated him above the many hard working long term Ukip members to become a party spokesman with a responsible role in Nigel Farage’s party structure.
Perhaps we should not be surprised to find he was one of Nigel Farage’s hand picked ‘Dregs and Rejects’!

A senior Ukip spokesman has been exposed as claiming to hold a “fake” degree and a professorship at an unaccredited academic institution.
Andrew Charalambous, the party’s housing and environment spokesman, is listed on a Facebook page as holding a “PhD in the parallels between Plato’s Utopia and Spartan Society”. He was listed on his official website as being a “professor of environmental sciences”.
It is also worthy of note that he has also withdrawn his claims to be a Barrister!
How very typical of Nigel Farage’s leadership style where he hand picks individuals boosting them into elevated positions in his leadership team, only to find yet again his drinking buddies have duped him and his judgement has let him down – at which stage he denounces people he claimed as friends and of whom he extolled the virtues.
How long will it be before he denounces Douglas Carswell as an idiot as he did with his protege David Bannerman or claims that Mark Reckless is ‘impossible’ as he did with his best known protege Marta Andreasen and so the list of those Farage has not only proved his poor judgement over but also with whom he has fallen out when they failed to pay obeisance to his self perceived abilities – as Roger Helmer has just found out there is only room for one ‘Fuehrer’ in Farage’s centrally controlled absolute dictatorship, where he and he alone may make decisions ensuring that those who dare to challenge him are cut down to size either through bad publicity in a gullible and pliant media manipulated by such as Clive Page, Annabelle Fuller, Herman Kelly, Mark Croucher, Gawain Towler or some other lackey used until they get tossed on the ‘dregs & rejects’ pile!
Nigel Farage’s party is nowadays made up largely of ‘Dregs & Rejects’ from the Tory Pary at its upper echelons these days and when you realise that in the last EU parliament of his 13 MEPs he had managed to reduce his party to a mere 5 by abusing and falling out with his fellow MEPs who finally saw through his corruption and corruption of the party just as somewhere around 70 Ukip NEC members have walked away from Ukip when they discovered the true nature of Nigel Farage’s enrichment and aggrandisement structure truelly is!
having observed some very questionable decisions of the CPS over recent times and the abject failure of OLAF in the EU and CPS in Britain to bring to book criminals in public office – be they the likes of MEP Giles Chichester who used somewhere in excess of £100K from the public purse to fund his ‘Letts’ diary business, the failure to prosecute Nigel Farage and his cronies for what seems to be abuse of office, self enrichment, the enrichment of their low life cronies thus bringing the body politic into disrepute, the failure to prosecute Ukip MEP Derek Clark for abuse of office and misuse of somewhere between £35K & £100K, nor prosecution of Ukip MEPs Stuart Agnew, Nigel Farage, Jeffrey Titford, David Bannerman, Graham Booth and probably others for both known and publicly identified misuse of public funding – not to mention what would seem to be a number of ‘stitch ups’ endorsed by The CPS.
Yet there has also been a serial failure on the part of The CPS structure to bring to Court and prosecute a considerable number of police officers who have been involved in various crimes not least of which have been numerous outrageous murders!
Hence I am sure readers will understand why I am more than a little sceptical of the integrity of the 9 charges brought against Ashley Mote the ex Ukip MEP!I make no claims of innocence for Ashley Mote relative to these charges as The CPS has all too often over egged their claims and a great deal more details are required before any responsible judgement of the claims can be made.
I wonder will this be just another crass series of claims cobbled together from lies, inuendo and misrepresentation as would seem the case against Jasna Badsak and that against Nikki Sinclaire where it would seem corruption of due process has played a significant part in the hands of what would seem to be corrupt police and dubious judiciary too closely associated with Ukip and other parties in the case yet lacking the integrity to prorogue themselves!
One is forced to wonder why some are harassed and persecuted over paltry sums, eg Badzak £2K and Sinclaire less than £15K (in reality at most around £8K alleged!) whilst others never face prosecution over infinitely larger sums purloined?
Is this what British Justice has debased itself to under the influence of EU Corpus Juris?
Let us see more details regarding the claims against the retired 78 year old Ashley Mote so long after the offences would seem to be alleged
Ex-MEP charged with fraud offences and misconduct in public office
13/10/2014
Zoe Martin, of the CPS Special Crime Division said, “The CPS has today issued charges against Ashley Mote of obtaining a money transfer by deception, fraud by false representation, false accounting, receiving the proceeds of crime and misconduct in public office. We have decided there is sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction and that a prosecution is in the public interest.
“Ashley Mote will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 3 November 2014.
“A decision has also been made that no further action will been taken in relation to a second individual who was investigated for offences of obtaining money transfer by deception, false accounting and fraud by false representation, as there is insufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction. In addition no further action will be taken against two other individuals who were investigated for offences of money laundering.
“These decisions were taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors.
“May I remind all concerned that criminal proceedings against the defendant have been commenced and of his right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.
“Any decision by the CPS does not imply any finding concerning guilt or criminal conduct; the CPS makes decisions only according to the test set out in the Code for Crown Prosecutors and it is applied in all decisions on whether or not to prosecute.”
Note:
The CPS’s function is not to decide whether a person is guilty of a criminal offence, but to make fair, independent and objective assessments about whether it is appropriate to present charges for the criminal court to consider. The CPS assessment of any case is not in any sense a finding of, or implication of, any guilt or criminal conduct. It is not a finding of fact, which can only be made by a court, but rather an assessment of what it might be possible to prove to a court, in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors.
This assessment is based on the evidence available arising out of the police investigation and not on the evidence that is likely to be gathered by the defence, and likely to be used to test the prosecution evidence. The CPS charging decision is therefore necessarily an assessment on the basis of the evidence that is available to the CPS at the time the decision is made.
CPS prosecutors must also keep every case under review, so that they take account of any change in circumstances that occurs as the case develops, including what becomes known of the defence case. If appropriate, the CPS may change the charges or stop a case.
Details of the full charges:
Ashley Mote
Charge 1: Misconduct in public office, contrary to Common Law
Charge 2: Acquiring criminal property, contrary to section 329 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
Charge 3: Obtaining a money transfer by deception, contrary to section 15A of the Theft Act 1968
Charge 4: False accounting, contrary to section 17(1)(a) of the Theft Act 1968
Charge 5: Obtaining a money transfer by deception, contrary to section 15A of the Theft Act 1968
Charge 6: Obtaining a money transfer by deception, contrary to section 15A of the Theft Act 1968
Charge 7: False accounting, contrary to section 17(1)(a) of the Theft Act 1968
Charge 8: False accounting, contrary to section 17(1)(a) of the Theft Act 1968
Charge 9: Fraud, contrary to section 1 of the Fraud Act 2006
Ukip Sales Literature So Frequently Distorts, which undermines what little credibility they might otherwise gain.
A technique so often selected by extremist organisations like Ukip, the BNP even The Nazi Party!
UKIP Deputy Chairman Suzanne Evans has helpfully written a book “Why vote Ukip?” to explain what the party stands for.
Apparently the media have been very unhelpful in the way we’ve explained Ukip policies. Who, us? Really?
Anyway, here are our seven favourite bits of Suzanne’s book…
1. The bit where she consistently overstates the cost of the EU
In the opening section she says “we hand over astonishingly high membership fees to the EU of some £55 million every day. We get some of that back, but less than half, by anyone’s analysis.”
When you factor in the rebate, and payments the UK receives for agriculture and other subsidies, the actual figure is £33m a day.
Now, you may well argue that is still too much – and you are very welcome to. But the net cost of the EU to the UK is NOT £55m a day.
Notably, the first time Suzanne uses the £55m figure she adds a footnote that mentions the rebate. Subsequently in the book she just continually refers to the £55m figure.
2. The bit where nobody can visit Britain as a tourist without proving they have medical insurance.
“100% guaranteed to cut down queues at the airport!
Proof of private health insurance would also be a condition for tourists entering the UK.”
3. The bit where she thinks the whole of Britain may be concreted over soon
“Demand for housing has never been higher; we need to build a new house every seven seconds to keep up with demand from our growing population, a crazy state of affairs that puts our countryside and precious green space at risk. How long before Britain is completely concreted over at this rate and ours is no longer a green and pleasant land?”
If you build one house of the average size (84 square metres) every 7 seconds for the next 57 years, we reckon you could just about do it.
4. The bit where she describes James Delingpole as a journalist
5. The bit where she lists some Government departments Ukip would seek to abolish, including “the Ministry of Justice”
Newsflash: Re-merging the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office is not going to save billions of pounds.
6. The bit where meat imports are going to give us Ebola
“UKIP will also impose far stricter controls on the import of bush meat from wild animals hunted in Africa, Asia, and South America which is frequently brought into the UK and sold illegally in butchers and markets. Not only does the trade have serious implications for the extinction of species, it can also pose a health risk and lead to outbreaks of serious diseases – such as Ebola – and UKIP will not be bound by political correctness in tackling this dangerous trade.”
7. The bit where there is actually a chapter that imagines what it would be like if Ukip formed a majority Government.
It’s probably quite a way off. Even Suzanne Evans herself is only predicting that Ukip will win “at least 8 MPs” in 2015.
Should you read the book?
If you DO fancy reading it, you can buy the book for £6.99. All sarcasm aside, it is an interesting insight into the policies and mindset that are obviously resonating with voters at by-elections.
And if we were sitting in Tory or Labour offices scratching our heads about how to re-engage people who are thinking of voting Ukip, we’d DEFINITELY read it.

The Farage Factor

Duration: 30 minutes
UKIP and its people’s army have shaken the political establishment by attracting voters and defecting Tory MPs. It has been an extraordinary year for the once fringe party. Reporter Darragh MacIntyre has been on the trail of the charismatic and controversial leader who claims he’s revolutionising British politics – but is Nigel Farage really any different from the politicians he criticises? Show less
The program has been put together by Alan Head, Connor Spackman & Darragh MacIntyre who have interviewed a large number of Ukip supporters for details and you may recal that Nigel farage wrote them a letter some time back, which was published on this blog, clearly showing he was not prepared to risk being interviewed and making childish demands of the program.
Many believe that Farage was unwilling to risk making clear answers to simple questions on the record for fear of perjuring himself as he has a track record, from which he seems to have learned, of telling lies on camera.
The program has several revelations it will make that will prove new to many Ukip supporters who are largely ill informed regarding Ukip and Nigel Farage in particular but assiduous readers of this blog will know most of the details!
>GUEST POST On Ukip Training its personnel To Milk The EU Tax payers For Holidays – Where Kirsten Farage blocked the media from entry to try to prevent exposing the corruption!

Hi,
here is a GUEST POST
Ukip Team Up With Travel Agent To Milk EU Taxpayers
The wife of Nigel Farage yesterday barred The Telegraph from a Ukip fringe meeting instructing MEPs how to secure taxpayer-funded holidays for their friends and supporters.
Kirsten Farage asked this newspaper to leave a fringe meeting outlining an EU scheme that subsidises holidays for political activists to Brussels and Strasbourg. The European Union spends £25 million on the subsidies for tours arranged through Euro-MPs’ offices. Under the scheme, holiday makers are handed a subsidy of up to £200 in cash if they include a short visit to the European Parliamentary in their itinerary. That money can then be used to pay for hotel rooms, meals and transport. Ukip’s use of the scheme comes despite Mr Farage’s party being ostensibly opposed to wasteful spending in Brussels.Mrs Farage helped organise the briefing for the party’s new MEPs, which was held in a suite overlooking the track at Doncaster Racecourse at the party’s conference. “Oh dear,” she said as The Telegraph arrived at the event, which had been advertised in the conference schedule handed to delegates. “We didn’t really want the press.” “I’d much rather not have any press here. It’s an internal event. “I’m afraid I’m going to have to send you away.” She said the meeting was to instruct new MEPs of the “logistics” of booking trips. Asked about the scheme, she said: “Every MEP is allowed to take visitors’ groups over from their constituency or region, or councillors, or business groups they are supporting, or supporting them. It’s an EU scheme.”
She added: “It’s a nice thing to do.”
One five-day package advertised on a stand at Ukip conference, organised by a private tour operator, included a visit to the castles of Koblenz, a tour of Strasbourg Cathedral and a boat trip along the Rhine. The visit to the Parliament in Strasbourg lasts two and a half hours. After the EU subsidy, the holiday costs £389 a head. Another seven-day Ukip tour takes in Verona, Lake Garda, an excursion to Venice and a tour of Vicenza, known as the City of Gold, before driving on to Strasbourg for a short visit to the Parliament. Other taxpayer-subsidised tours incorporate visits to the tapestry at Bayeux and Monet’s garden in Giverny before visiting the European Parliament in Brussels.

Here is The Telegraph’s take on the story:

The European Parliament says the scheme allows voters to see their elected representatives at work regardless of wealth.
A Ukip spokesman said the party bans its MEPs from taking party in fact-finding trips organised by the European Parliament to exotic destinations and said they are not in it for “personal gain.”
“Information trips to Brussels for members of the public are open to and used by every political party,” he added.
Ukip Notably Absent In Intellectual Opposition to The EU having no representation of any gravitas, nor credible policies for an honourable exit & survival strategy despite 21 years of ‘claimed’ opposition to EU membership!

Hi, some twenty of the country’s leading economists and economic commentators have backed calls for an In/Out referendum on the subject of Britain’s relationship with the EU.
In default of honourable patriotic leadership, in these United kingdoms, willing to restore the supremacy of the peoples over Westminster as the authority in Britain and restore respect for our borders and British Justice under British law in respect of our Monarch.
The peoples of Britain deserve to have their voices heard, in a free, fair and informed referendum equally funded in respect of democracy voting on Britain’s membership of the EU, which is long overdue.
The informed signatories of the letter, published in the Daily Telegraph, added that Britain had nothing to fear from leaving the EU, an argument self evident in the light of the damage to our industry economy and democracy that membership of the EU has proved to be, as warned of by Enoch Powell 25-Feb-1970 CLICK HERE whilst Edward Heath and his Government betrayed the peoples of Britain based on their lies, misrepresentation and Government funded spin and propaganda promoted by a largely subservient press..
The letter below was released to mark the launch of Economists for Britain, which under the leadership of Dr Ruth Lea, aims to provide an intellectual sounding board for the research.
The text of the letter follows:
Dear Sirs,
As economists and economic commentators we are writing to add our voices to the growing demands for a new relationship between Britain and the European Union and to express our support for an In/Out referendum.
For too long the debate over Britain’s EU membership has been characterised by half-truths and outright fabrications. The wholly misleading claim that millions of jobs would be lost if the UK were to leave the EU has been comprehensively disproven and refuted.
Research shows that British business wants and needs a substantial change in our relationship with the EU. The Prime Minister’s own Red Tape Task Force has warned that EU red tape is holding back job creation and business expansion. However, before thinking about leaving the EU, we must see if the British Government can first secure better terms of membership. But if the negotiations do not deliver, there is nothing to fear from leaving.
The UK’s future prosperity increasingly depends on its ability to trade with the whole world, not just its European neighbours. In 1980 the EU accounted for over 30 per cent of world GDP, today that figure is less than 19 per cent. The share of UK exports to the rest of the EU has fallen by 10 per cent in the last ten years alone. We need to move beyond a 20th Century economic mind set and be free to develop our links with the rising economies outside Europe.
Just as “little Englanders” are wrong to argue for protectionism, so too are “little Europeans” who only focus on Britain’s trade with its next-door neighbours. We need a global vision, a vision that looks beyond the limits of Europe and sees the opportunities that the wider world offers.

The Fleet Street Fox Exposes The Flaws In Nigel Farage’s so very fragile Chicken Run!

Hi,
having been a follower of Susie Boniface from long before her entertaining book ‘The Diaries of A Fleet Street Fox’ was published, her sarcism is all too often poking fun at the self important and those who have become a legend in their own lunchtime or in this instance in their own faux publicity drinking time and indeed she is sometimes right – sometimes in her vocabulary is self denigratory as I fing her not only right most of the time but all too frequently both prescient and predictive.
When one considers her accuracy one is wise to remember she spent some time as a defence correspondent for the Plymouth Herald reporting in depth on The Royal Navy and its actions in The Gulf.
Ms. Boniface’s style may be light hearted as behoves the tabloids for whom she writes but it would be foolish to dismiss her as anything but a professional in her field as is shown by this article that exposes the weakness of Nigel Farage and his cult and the bluster behind which Ukip shelters.
Bluster which all too often not only neglects the electorate in its hedonistic self serving activities but is all too willing to be malicious and vituperative in its defence of the comforts of the gravy train on which it aims to ride, seemingly in perpituity, without any meaningful achievements to its name beyond efforts to destroy the lives of anyone who dares to expose their undeniable corruption, industrial level of fraud and persistent dishonest chavvery as with:
Ukip MEP Janice Atkinson
And Nigel Farage, whilst employing his wife prior to arranging for a lackey to employ her and having been publicly exposed employing at least one of his sometime sexual partners on the public purse had the temerity to dump his long term chum and cult follower Godfrey Bloom, for daring to use the soubriquet ‘Sluts’ when alluding to certain Ukip women!
No-one expects UKIP and Nigel Farage – their chief weapon is surprise
And drinking beer. If there are two things Nigel is good at, it’s surprising you and drinking beer.
And making headlines. If there’s three things… oh, never mind.
It is undeniably an excellent bit of summer political shenanigans to stand for Parliament and grab a defection within a week.
On Tuesday Nigel became the official candidate in Thanet and unveiled 11 other mainly seaside, blue collar, immigrant-heavy constituencies he was targeting.
Now Tory backbencher Douglas Carswell – the MP responsible for booting the last Speaker Michael Martin over the expenses scandal, the MP who wants proportional representation – has joined UKIP looks good for Nigel.
It says that mainstream people like him, not just fruitcakes and that he’s jolly democratic.
Rather than switch sides and hold on to his seat, Carswell’s done the decent thing and said there’ll be a by-election so the voters can say if they agree.
It also says, quite loudly, that UKIP can expect a solid two months or so of “ooh, exciting, isn’t it?” political coverage at zero risk to themselves.
If Carswell wins the by-election, hooray. And if he loses, which is very unlikely with a 12,000 majority, he gets to stand again in May.
And meanwhile nobody will be looking too hard at Nigel, or his candidates who have a tendency to be, well, a little nutty.
Carswell himself isn’t quite so squeaky clean, even on the expenses issue he was so keen to expose. He was found to have flipped his second home and claimed £655 for a “love seat”. He did all this despite owning a third property which he rents out.
He has said this was “entirely justified” while also saying: “We need to clean up Westminster politics and take action to restore faith in our political system.”

Laugh a minute: Nigel Farage poses for photographers as he leaves his home in Kent
But then, Nigel rather likes people who do one thing and say another. He does much the same himself.
For example, he SAYS it’s dreadful that MPs buy second homes with taxpayer-funded mortgages, flipped them to avoid capital gains tax, “claimed expenses for duck houses, moat cleaning and poppy wreaths”.
But his party has voted against expenses reform in the European Parliament, employ one another’s wives as their secretaries, andgenerally get the taxpayer to fork out for quite a lot.
He SAYS he’s running a people’s army, inspiring people who do not vote to return to the ballot box to make their presence felt.
But all the evidence shows that fewer of us are voting these days, and Nigel is not dragging more of us to the polling station.
In May UKIP was the biggest party in the Euro elections by polling just nine per cent – NINE – of the total electorate.
That’s not a people’s army – it’s more a rotting cadet hut.
Cheers chums: Nigel sips a pint
But now we have been served up a portion of Carswell and a side dish of by-election to take our minds off it.
Nigel wins when we are entertained and stop thinking. When we listen to how he says things, rather than what he does.
The best bit of advice I have ever had was from a friend who said: “You don’t judge people by what they say, but by what they do.”
What Nigel says will always grab headlines and give good soundbite. Perhaps that will be enough to propel him to Westminster.
But what he DOES is always different, and it always trips him up. If he gets within a sniff of power neither he or his party will know quite what to do with it, and I quake at the prospect of him holding summits with Vladimir Putin or Angela Merkel.
Cleaner politics wouldn’t suit Nigel. It would mean his weaknesses were exposed, that we would have no need for the things he says, and he’d be an unemployed middle-aged man with a face like a Simpsons character.
And like the Spanish Inquisition, he needs sinners or he ceases to exist.
The problem with UKIP is no-one expects anything of them, so that when they do one good thing it seems amazing, and when they do lots we’ll be absolutely horrified.

Douglas Carswell Supplies Another Instrument For The One Man Band
This article about Douglas Carswell’s profligacy with other peoples’ money does at least show just how well he will fit in with UKip and their unaccountable, corrupt and often criminal abuse of public money.
MPs’ expenses: Douglas Carswell claimed £700 in expenses for love seat
Douglas Carswell, the Conservative backbencher who spearheaded the campaign to depose Michael Martin as Commons Speaker, claimed £655 from his expenses for a love seat.

The MP for Harwich said on Tuesday that the money had been well spent because his wife had recently given birth.
Mr Carswell, who has made his name as an anti-sleaze campaigner, made the claim after switching the designation of his second home to a property in his constituency, having claimed thousands of pounds for a London flat.
He initially designated the £1 million flat in south west London as his second home after being elected in 2005. He claimed more than £21,000 for a deposit, rent, food and furniture over 15 months.
The MP then began renting a £335,000 house in Thorpe Le Soken, Essex, in March 2007, and designated this as his second home. He again paid for the security deposit from his expenses.
He then used his allowances to pay for furniture, including the £655 “Maximus” love seat in deep moss brushed cotton, with extra fabric protection from sofa.com. Mr Carswell lives at the house with his wife, Clementine.
He said: “I bought the love seat and bed when moving into the home with my future wife. We have since got married and have had our first baby.”
Since the couple moved in, Mr Carswell has claimed a total of £32,000 in expenses related to the house.
He also owns a property in Hertfordshire, which he rents out. Mrs Carswell sold her flat in south-west London for £500,000 last year.
The MP bills taxpayers for the entire rent of £1,250 per month and £2,280 annual council tax bills for the Essex house.
Since moving in, he has also claimed £1,605 for two sofas and £1,483 for a bed, mattress and chairs from ILVA.
He spent a further £700 for bedding and household extras at Peter Jones and The White Company.
Mr Carswell also claimed £453 for a fridge freezer, £400 for a washing machine, £99 for a garden strimmer and bin, and £377 for a radio, telephone, vacuum cleaner, iron and television.
In November 2007, he claimed £429 for four days’ worth of gardening.
He also claimed for a range of items bought at Tesco, including a 74p washing line.
Mr Carswell rose to prominence in April last year when he became the first MP to publicly call for Mr Martin to resign over his decision to instigate a legal challenge to keep the details of MPs’ expenses secret.
He criticised the Speaker for his handling of the row over MPs’ expenses and for his failure to restore the integrity of Parliament. “Never has there been such bitter contempt for politicians or the standing of MPs been so low,” he wrote at the time.
“We need to clean up Westminster politics and take action to restore faith in our political system.” Mr Carswell, who worked as an adviser to David Cameron in the run-up to the 2005 election, last month tabled a no-confidence motion against Mr Martin.
Although the motion was not debated, it was widely credited with having helped prompt the Speaker’s decision to resign later this month.
Last night Mr Carswell told The Daily Telegraph: “I have never used public money to pay a private mortgage. I have instead rented.
“It is true that I bought an armchair, sofa and some bedding, as well as a few other modest items of crockery and furniture. I believe this is entirely justified.”
“Before making every claim, I have asked myself not only ‘is it within the rules’, but ‘can I justify this to my local constituents’. In every instance I believe I can,” he said.
So it seems there was no room at the Inn for the Tory Conference for the self proclaimed Messiah of the Tory Back Bench EUSceptics!
Well I guess by defecting Douglas Carsdale will have the advantage that his expenses will fall in line with UKip’s and be largely unaccountable. He will not only be assured of a room at the main UKip conference Hotel and be made to feel important but may even be able to follow in Farage’s footsteps and open an Isle of Man account to help his tax position though whether he will be able to emulate Farage and deposit £1/4Million in it will depend what share of his wife’s flat he was able to obtain, he will at least be able to have his wife employed by one of the other UKip functionaries I expect.
Though one can respect Carswell, having had his little temper tantrum and inviting Farage to his Press Conference, for having offered his resignation from the Tories for his last 8 months as a Tory MP though whether the tax payers consider the basic cost of around £1/4Million for a by-election good value for money is another point!
We hear that Stuart Wheeler, as a sponsor of UKip, had wined and dined Carswell and a few other potential defectors, as he saw them, doubtless he proffered their election expenses as a douceur for those willing to betray the Tories as he had done.
Although proclaimed by his fan club as a man of principles it does seem that principally this man seeks his own rewards.
It seems all too likely that the by-election will fall for Nigel Farage and no doubt he wishes he could have a by election in Thanet as by elections are so much easier for the opposition or even extremist fringe to win as they are always seen as a means to register a protest vote without being taken too seriously as Janet Akinson so ably displayed in the EUropean electoral farce:
as she and a host of other electoral nonentities and ner do wells were elected.
Whether Douglas Carswell stands a chance of hanging onto his seat at a General Election is another matter, as the electorate tend not to value a self serving drama queen when the chips are down in a real election – as we have seen so consistently with the collapse of the UKip vote whenever a General Election comes around.
There will also be those angered by his behaviour in risking the chances of a referendum, which he so praised David Cameron for although he himself failed to make any effort to gain one neither campaigning for it nor signing the petition which brought it about – as with Nigel Farage who did all his advocacy of a petition AFTER Nikki Sinclaire had handed in the petition she had raised of 220,000 signatures thereby gaining a full debate on the issue in the House of Commons! Farage had in fact done all he could to sabotage the petition thus helping Cameron to ensure Britain remained in the EU!
