UKIP leader Paul Nuttall is, it was announced today, set to stand as as his party’s candidate in the Stoke Central parliamentary by-election triggered by the resignation of (technically) Labour MP Tristram Hunt. The decision comes after jibes of cowardice on social media when it looked like he may opt not to contest the seat:

Mr Nuttall has been a UKIP MEP (Member of the European Parliament) for some years and placed 736th of 756 MEPs for attendance according to Wikipedia, which fits with the comments this author has received from UKIP insiders.
Last month, he faced a grilling from the BBC’s Andrew Marr about false claims to have a PHD and to have played professional football for Tranmere Rovers, which he blamed on over-enthusiastic interns, and this week the SKWAWKBOX raised questions about his claims to have been present, as a 12yo boy, at the Hillsborough disaster in which 96 Liverpool fans were killed.
Many consider Paul Nuttall to be a dangerous and unscrupulous fantasist. But he is also under investigation, along with a range of UKIP officials, by the EU’s ‘OLAF‘ anti-fraud unit in relation to an alleged €20 million fraud in which Nuttall is named for allegedly claiming large amounts of EU funds for the rent and costs of his MEP’s office. The OLAF case reference for the investigation is OF/2016/0836/01.

This author has visited the building in question and found no indication of a UKIP office. It appears to be simply a rented postbox for correspondence purposes – which would cost a few pounds to rent but nothing like the expense of an office.
That said, it’s not uncommon for an organisation to have a postbox address separate to its actual office location. So could Paul Nuttall’s physical office be elsewhere?
If so, it’s extremely well-hidden. There is a mention of an office in Nuttall’s home town of Bootle – but this dates back to 2010 and appears to have been a very short-term rental for Nuttall’s attempt to win the Bootle parliamentary seat in that year, which is fairly common practice for candidates – put up a few signs and posters in a vacant shop and use it as a base for the campaign, although that is not how Nuttall described it at the time on his website:
The Google Streetview of the same building, which dates to Jun 2014, shows simply an empty shop again:
.So it’s clear that it was no kind of permanent MEP’s office for Nuttall.
So far, this blog has been unable to turn up any physical, UK location for an MEP’s office belonging to/rented by Paul Nuttall – and certainly the allegations currently being investigated by OLAF state that the Sefton Street PO Box is the official office address being used and claimed for by him.
But that is not the full extent of the allegations OLAF is looking at. The dossier also alleges that:
Nuttall is claiming for 3staff for his office who, in fact, have never worked there (there is no ‘there’) or in any sense for his ‘constituency office’ – and at least one is based hundreds of miles away in South Thanet
these 3 staff do not do any work for Nuttall as an MEP but are involved purely with UKIP party matters and campaigning
he is claiming costs for a list of assistants – all but one of whom is completely fictitious
Nuttall invents his own invoices and rubber-stamps them to support the ‘expenses’
The OLAF case findings are scheduled to be published next month, at which point we will have a formal verdict on these matters.
Until then, they remain allegations – but allegations which ought to be of intense interest to voters in Stoke Central and indeed across the country, especially in light of the admittedly false claims already associated with him and the other apparent inconsistencies in his ‘CV’.

you will have read the details of the fraudulent claims that Paul Nuttall, the new Ukip leader, had played professional football for Tranmere Rovers on this web site dated 01-Dec-2016 CLICK HERE, now as promised we are able to publish further fraudulent claims made about his CV, where there are claims made that he had a PhD – as I predicted he claims it was an error made by a member of staff!
That the claim was only taken down when we had researched and proved the claims were untrue, yet as he admits they had been published on his site since 2009!
Then we published hints bringing doubt on the veracity of his claims related to his presence at the Hillsborough disaster and his failure to take a clear stance relative to the inquiry, despite being a political representative of the area and thus the families concerned – we believe there is every reason to believe Paul Nuttall is a liar who has been ‘coffin jumping’ to dishonestly enhance his career!
We recently published more of Paul Nuttall’s dishonesty relative to his expenses wherein it would seem he claims for offices he has little or no right to claim on which seem to be no more than a PO Box or at best a ‘virtual office’!
Read on as I have published details of his apparent perfidy regarding Hillsborough – then ask yourself if this man is fit to represent anyone let alone be a leader for decent honest people, whether misguided or not!
Are not the facts regarding Paul Nuttall more suited to someone who is unfit for public office and indeed someone who his constituents would and more rationally should hound out of his position and indeed his region!
UKIP’s Paul Nuttall caught on video lying about being at #Hillsborough?
New(ish) UKIP leader Paul Nuttall has been on the hook a couple of times recently for allegedly exaggerating the truth (or telling outright porkies, depending what you make of his excuses).
He was challenged on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show last month over claims that he had a PHD from an institution that was not able to award them when he claimed to have been there – and that he claimed to have played professional football for Tranmere Rovers, when this was proven not to be the case.
Mr Nuttall backtracked from these exaggerations by claiming that the PHD had been claimed on a Linkedin page that did not belong to him and from the Tranmere claim on the basis that he had played for the club’s youth team and had never claimed to have played for them professionally.
He was also ridiculed in the press in 2015 for appearing in a UKIP promotional image that had the books in the background digitally added, as could be seen by books (and part books) being repeated in adjacent sections of the image.
Make of all that what you will – but the SKWAWKBOX can exclusively reveal that Paul Nuttall can be seen and heard, in video footage, apparently committing what would be the ultimate and unforgivable sin for a Merseysider: making false claims about your involvement in the Hillsborough disaster.
The footage, from the north-west regional edition of the BBC’s Sunday Politics show, shows Nuttall talking just after the success of Hillsborough campaigners in their fight for justice for their loved ones who died in that tragedy.
Mr Nuttall appears to have been keen to in the reflected kudos and, perhaps, to burnish his ‘northern’ credentials because – within the space of less than a minute – he claims to have been in two separate areas of ‘crush’ at the stadium at the same time.
At the 16-second mark of the video, he states:
People like myself who were in the Leppings Lane end, we knew what was going on.
‘We knew what was going on’ – we were on the inside, watching things unfold.
While at 1 min 15s, he claims to have been in the crowd that was massed and stuck outside the Leppings Lane end:
..the crush was going on outside, and I tell you what, people would have died outside, and I was involved in that crush outside.
It’s just about possible he was outside in the crush then got inside, but then you wouldn’t talk as if you were on the inside watching things happen and only add you were in the outside crush as an afterthought.
At 2.40pm inside the stadium the Leppings Lane central pens, known as 3 and 4, were already very crowded..
..[Between 2.49-2.52pm] In the outer concourse, Superintendent Marshall was dealing with the worsening crush. Over the radio he repeated his request for an exit gate to be opened to relieve the pressure. He added that if the gates were not opened someone would be killed.

Is it credible that a 12yo boy – as Nuttall was at the time – could be inside watching things unfold and outside in crushed-tight crowds simultaneously, or within a very short timescale? Is it credible that he’d be on the outside in the crush then claim to know about it because you were watching from inside, rather than knowing because you were in it?
And if the separate claims cannot both be true, then what does that say about Mr Nuttall’s credibility – especially in the context of the claims he has already been challenged about? Are his claims to have been there at all credible – or do they ring as false as his ‘PhD’?

it does rather look as if now that Ukip and the EFDD Group are no longer officially led by Nigel Farage and Ukip slides closer to oblivion bereft of a credible leader of any caliber they are losing what few allies they once had.
It is no secret that Nigel Farage and his leadership team and his vehicle for self aggrandisement, Ukip, are under investigation relative to upto £20M over the last few years, milked from the public purse – this may well be the primary reason their old allies are seeking to distance themselves and possibly thereby avoid investigation themselves.
Already Nigel Farage’s personal aid and advisor George Cottrell was arrested in America whilst travelling with Farage and has pleaded guilty to some 20 criminal offences and is currently held pending sentence with a possibility of around 20 years in prison CLICK HERE.
Nigel Farage is also independently under investigation for passport and identity/nationality fraud in Germany that could well lead to his prosecution and incaceration, a matter over and above the fraud investigations by the EU and various criminal situations for which he may be called to account in Britain.
Little wonder 5 Star seek to distance themselves!
With Beppe Grillo’s Movement probably leaving the EFDD the very group itself slides closer to having insufficient members and EU flags on its membership to be a Group in its own right – such a collapse would of course be catastrophic for Ukip and its income and without the devious deal making abilities of Farage, and his abilities as an entertainer in some surroundings, there is little probability that Nuttall could hold the party together, in the long term.

Italy’s maverick 5-Star Movement should cut ties with the anti-European Union UK Independence Party (UKIP) and consider hooking up with the Liberals in the European Parliament, 5-Star founder Beppe Grillo said on Sunday.
If the surprise switch goes ahead, it would see 5-Star enter mainstream European politics and move away from the anti-system fringes, a shift that might reassure other EU capitals that have grown uneasy about its rising popularity.
Writing on his blog, Grillo said his party was in talks with the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) and asked 5-Star members to back the initiative in an online ballot.
ALDE is headed by former Belgian prime minister Guy Verhofstadt. He is a keen European federalist and his strong, pro-EU views would seem at odds with the eurosceptic 5-Star, which has previously ridiculed the liberal leader.
Grillo said he had also approached the Greens about a possible tie-up, but was rebuffed, adding ALDE was the only group willing to discuss an accord with his movement.
The anti-establishment 5-Star won 17 seats in the last European election in 2014 and linked up with Nigel Farage’s UKIP, which had 22 seats, to form the so-called Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy (EFDD) party.

The founder of Italy’s populist Five Star Movement (M5S) has asked members to vote on splitting from a Eurosceptic bloc of MEPs co-chaired by Nigel Farage.
Beppe Grillo, a comedian turned politician, said in a post on his blog that since Farage had led Ukip to Britain voting to leave the EU, the two parties no longer shared common goals and he recommended leaving the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy (EFDD).
“Recent events in Europe, such as Brexit, have led us to reconsider the nature of the EFDD group,” Grillo wrote. “With the extraordinary success of the leave campaign, Ukip achieved its political objective: to leave the European Union.
“Let’s discuss the concrete facts: Farage has already abandoned the leadership of his party and British MEPs will leave the European parliament in the next legislature. Until then, our British colleagues will be focused on developing the choices that will determine the UK’s political future.”
Grillo and Farage forged an alliance over lunch in Brussels after 2014’s European elections, in which Ukip took the largest share of the vote in Britain and M5S came second in Italy after winning 17 seats.
Both said at the time that the group was aimed at “restoring freedom and national democracy”, with Farage adding: “Expect us to fight the good fight to take back control of our countries’ destinies.”
In a move that would see his party mesh with European liberals, Grillo has called an online referendum, scheduled for Sunday and Monday, on breaking away and instead forming a new group with the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE), led by the former Belgian prime minister, Guy Verhofstadt, who is also the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator.
Grillo has long called for a referendum on Italy’s membership of the euro currency, but not on Italy leaving the EU.
With ALDE’s 68 MEPs, the alliance could become the “third political force in the European parliament”, Grillo wrote, while pointing to the fact that his party had only voted alongside Ukip about 20% of the time within the past few years.
He said the two shared values linked to “direct democracy, transparency, freedom and honesty”.
“With our vote we can make a difference and influence the result of many important decisions to counter the European establishment,” Grillo added.
Farage said in a statement: “In political terms it would be completely illogical for Five Star to join the most Euro fanatic group in the European parliament. The ALDE group doesn’t support referenda or the basic principle of direct democracy. ALDE are also the loudest voice for a EU army. I suspect if Five Star joins ALDE it’s support will not last long.”
A Ukip spokesman said: “Both Ukip and Five Star are free to choose to stay or quit a political relationship. While it’s interesting that some Five Star MEPs adamantly wish to stay in the EFDD group, as adults we wish them all the best whatever they do.”

Nigel Farage Stretches His Fantasies Too Thin For Self-Promotion! There seems to be very little that Ukip or its assortment of leaders say that can be trusted! Nigel Farage has said he is relieved to no longer be Ukip leader because it had meant “having to deal with low-grade people every day”, in an interview where he said his £85,000-a-year salary had left him “poor” compared with his City banker friends.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Farage said he now has global ambitions beyond the Eurosceptic party, including negotiating trade deals with the US president-elect, Donald Trump, and finding a solution to the Middle East conflict.
The MEP, who also hinted he will attempt to make his eighth bid for a seat in parliament despite seven unsuccessful runs, said he was happy to continue to be a public face while Ukip’s new leader, Paul Nuttall, ran the party.
“I am having a great time,” he said. “I am not having to deal with low-grade people every day. I am not responsible for what our branch secretary in Lower Slaughter said half-cut on Twitter last night – that isn’t my fault any more. I don’t have to go to eight-hour party executive meetings.
“I don’t have to spend my life dealing with people I would never have a drink with, who I would never employ and who use me as a vehicle for their own self-promotion. There are a lot of great people in Ukip. The problem is that Ukip has become a bit like the other parties: people view it as a means to get elected.”
Farage said his years as Ukip leader had meant he had sacrificed much of his earning potential. “I have no regrets about being poor,” he said of his MEP’s salary. “I don’t drive smart cars, I don’t go on fancy holidays. All my money has gone on my kids’ education.”
Farage suggested one role he could potentially play for Trump was a Middle East peace negotiator. “I’m not suggesting that I can do everything, but I do think that I’m quite good at negotiating. I’m quite good at bringing people together,” he said.
“I can’t close that off. It means too much to me,” he said. “Look, I hope, genuinely, that Brexit means Brexit and the job is done and there is no need for me. I really hope that’s it. But with every week that goes by, I think it might not be, so I’ll have to stick at it.”
A Ukip spokesman declined to comment on Farage’s remarks about the party.

Or more to the point his income of £85K + the £30K pocket money for his wife and the amount he is believed to have skimmed + the many fees for appearances + payouts extorted from the media viz reputed £70K for having his phone hacked because he was Ukip leader (no one would have bothered had he not have been) which all seems to have vanished in his pocket giving estimates in the financial press of his wealth as between £3 & 7M – less of course the amounts the EU ordered him to repay . This amounts to a hell of a lot more he could have expected to have earned had he remained as a drunken lout in the seedy lap top clubs, bars & restaurants he frequented during his time as a failure in the City, with jobs his Fathe, Guy Farage lined him up for.
A measure of the veracity of this fact is that until recently he still had outstanding debts from his City days and his brother, with whom he worked never seemed to make it into the league as a high roller.

Nigel Farage, a dedicated wine drinker has cultivated an image of being a layabout always willing to have a drink with anyone in order to use them as a vehicle for his own self-promotion and to keep him on the gravy train.
One must admit he has an excellent ability to surround himself with low grade staff & minnions so that he shines, more readily able to dupe the elderly and none too bright who fail to see through his performance!
As for Paul Nuttall & his seemingly fabricated CV where qualifications he claimed on his web sites etc were blamed on staff when they were exposed as untrue! Let us not forget both Nigel Farage and Paul Nuttall went to Sleaford & North Hykham by election to try to get Victoria Ailing elected, despite the fact that I hear she is under investigation for false claims of benefits, as a Ukip Councillor, and the outcome was a risible 4,000 votes in the by election which the Tories won with over 17.5K votes!
The likes of Nigel Farage, Nuttall, Diane James, Steven Woolfe etc. are as much an embarrassment and have all the credibility one can attribute to Russian propaganda and the false glorification of General Pantilov’s 28 who sacrificed themselves in defence against a German column in WWII – an even which never happened.
Or America’s movie propaganda that in WWII they stole an enigma machine and cracked the German codes – both stories are as false as Ukip’s claims of achievement of a Referendum and BreXit – both of which Nigel Farage strenuously worked to oppose!

you will have read the details of the fraudulent claims that Paul Nuttall, the new Ukip leader, had played professional football for Tranmere Rovers on this web site dated 01-Dec-2016 CLICK HERE, now as promised we are able to publish further fraudulent claims made about his CV, where there are claims made that he had a PhD – as I predicted he claims it was an error made by a member of staff!
That the claim was only taken down when we had researched and proved the claims were untrue, yet as he admits they had been published on his site since 2009!
That the claims about football were untrue are of little significance beyond establishing, as with the fake library he used to imply his intelligence, there is little importance to being a footballer for a political party leader – just as using a wallpaper picture of a library matters little – it is the lack of integrity it clearly shows.
To have permitted the belief that he had a PhD in history to have stood on his web space for 6+ years that is shamefull and totally undermines his credibility!
Just what can one believe about Paul Nuttall, in the light of these published claims? In fact just what can one believe regarding Ukip?
Ukip’s track record of integrity is exceeding thin when you consider that it seems their last leader Diane James, who only6 lasted 18 days, had a CV easily as imaginitive as Paul Nuttalls and when you note the dubious details which we established regarding Steven Woolfe, who was the front runner for leader at one stage.
Then one notes the lack of integrity of Nigel Farage who managed to dupe the shoddy journalism of the MSM into the belief he had some part in achieving the Referendum that brought about BreXit, a Referendum he did all in his powers to prevent happening and which he lacks even the basic decency to attribute to Nikki Sinclaire, who inspite of his and Ukip’s efforts to prevent her, set up a cross party group and raised the petition of 250,000 signatures which forced the Coalition Government to hold a full scale House of Commons debate that gave rise to the Tory Manifesto promise of an In/Out Referendum on EU membership which clearly delivered a massive vote for BreXit – neither Nigel Farage nor Ukip as a party took any part in the petition and obtaining the Referendum.
Sadly Ukip have an extensive record of dishonesty, theft, money laundering, corruption and lies it is increasingly unwise to believe a word they say!
Shamefully and dishonestly Nigel Farage and Ukip have claimed the glory earned by Nikki Sinclaire and the team she built, that a lazy, shoddy and incompetent media has fallen for Ukip’s spin is not only a reflection on the lack of integrity of Ukip but a staggering indictment of the Mainstream Media.
That the media fail to publish accurate facts is of course of no surprise when they are consistently wrong about how the EU functions and Britain’s relationship with the EU, as we have all noted. Again and again the media misrepresent facts and all too often fail to research the most basic of issues without prompting as with the details regarding the CV’s of Diane James & Paul Nuttall – merely accepting them as claimed – Just what is the role of the media beyond selling advertising space and gossip one may well ask oneself!

Ukip’s new leader was at the centre of a ‘fake CV’ row last night over allegations that he falsely claimed to hold a university doctorate.
The row, which comes just days after Paul Nuttall had to backtrack over boasts about playing professional football for Tranmere Rovers, has blown up over his online CV which refers to a ‘PhD, History’ from ‘Liverpool Hope University’ in 2004.
It caused bafflement at the institution, which did not win university status until 2005 and did not have the authority to award PhDs until 2009.

The embarrassment comes as this newspaper has learned that Mr Nuttall, who succeeded Nigel Farage last Monday, is hoping to storm the Commons by standing in the Leigh by-election early next year.
The contest will be triggered when Labour’s Andy Burnham stands down as he bids to become Mayor of Manchester. It gives Mr Nuttall an early chance to escape from the shadow of Mr Farage, who failed seven times to win a Commons seat.
Mr Nuttall’s educational achievement was listed on the LinkedIn professional networking site but was taken down on Friday, shortly after The Mail on Sunday started making enquiries.
Mr Nuttall is hoping to storm the Commons by standing in the Leigh by-election. The contest will be triggered when Labour’s Andy Burnham (pictured) stands down
A senior source at Liverpool Hope University told this newspaper: ‘You have no right to bandy those letters around until you have finished your doctorate and passed the viva exam. The education section is for qualifications you have been awarded, not ones you’d like to have one day.’
Last night, a spokesman for Mr Nuttall said the entry had been misleadingly completed by an ‘over-enthusiastic researcher’ and Mr Nuttall one day hoped to complete the PhD research into the ‘History of Conservatism in Liverpool’, which he started at the then college 12 years ago.
Liverpool Hope University declined to comment to The Mail on Sunday about Mr Nuttall on ‘data protection’ grounds. But in an email sent to Mr Nuttall, a spokeswoman asked for his permission to ‘confirm to the media’ that ‘you gained a Masters qualification from us in 2003 and not a PhD in 2004 (I am, however, aware that you started the PhD course)… and that you were employed as a temporary, hourly paid lecturer at Liverpool Hope University between 2004-2005 and 2005-2006’.
It is not the first time that Mr Nuttall has been at the centre of controversy over his intellectual credentials: he was pictured in Ukip’s 2015 Election manifesto standing in front of a library full of duplicate books – the image had been digitally altered to make the collection seem more extensive.

Ukip sources said last night that Mr Nuttall was optimistic about overturning Labour’s 14,000 majority in Leigh: the party secured nearly 20 per cent of the vote in the 2015 General Election, and was just 1,300 votes off the second-placed Conservatives. It means he could win the seat on a much smaller swing than the one which propelled the Lib Dems to victory over Zac Goldsmith in the Richmond Park by-election on Thursday.
Mr Nuttall was embarrassed last week after a claim on his personal website that he had been a ‘professional footballer’ for Tranmere Rovers was denied by the club. A Ukip spokesman said he had played for the Tranmere schoolboy and youth teams, and the embellishment was an ‘innocent mistake’ by a press officer.
A Ukip spokesman said: ‘The LinkedIn page has not been updated since 2009. We do not know who put up the page and we had it taken down before being approached by The Mail on Sunday.’

One has to ask, based on denials from various authoritative sources whether he actually went to University it seems as if Ukip’s new leader may well be as imaginitive about his qualifications and background as it would seem to have transpired Diane James was!

I wonder if he was actually at Hillsborough and involved in both crushes as he claims – I have my doubts, based on conversations I have had with a friend who deffinitly was there, and has campaigned since for justice for the Hilsborough victims, and knows Paul Nuttall quite well, including his shifty and untrustworthy nature!

New Ukip leader Paul Nuttall has been forced into an embarrassing denial of his own website’s claim he played professional football for his local team.
The site has two references to Mr Nuttall’s past as a ‘professional footballer’ for Tranmere Rovers, just across the Mersey from his childhood home in Bootle.
But when MailOnline contacted the National League club to ask whether he had ever played for the first team, a spokesman said, ‘Definitely not’.
The two posts on paulnuttallmep.com, which carried Mr Nuttall’s byline, were written in 2010.
The first, published in April and citing Mr Nuttall’s support for the National Football Museum, called him a ‘former professional footballer’ in the second paragraph.
The other, from May, which praised Blackpool FC’s promotion to the Premier League, claimed he ‘spent time as a professional footballer for Tranmere Rovers’.
Ukip told MailOnline the references were an ‘innocent mistake’, and blamed a ‘press officer’ who had drafted the releases and posted them on the website.
A spokesman insisted the site was ‘not a personal blog’, adding: ‘Paul has never described himself as a former professional footballer.
‘The description is not a part of any quote from Paul and is a regrettable but innocent mistake by the press officer that wrote the items around the quotes Paul supplied.’
‘Had he seen the full versions and not just checked his quotes, Paul would have corrected them, as he has done on the few occasions interviewers have made the same mistake. Paul has played for the Tranmere school boy and youth teams.’

Mr Nuttall was elected as Nigel Farage’s successor on Sunday, on the promise of turning Ukip into the ‘patriotic voice of working people’.

He vowed to rebuild Ukip after a disastrous summer that culminated in an altercation between two of its MEPs that left one of them in hospital.
He promised to exploit Jeremy Corbyn’s weakness on issues like immigration and defence to target dozens of Labour seats in the North of England.
But he also served notice to the Government that Ukip will ‘hold their feet to the fire’ to prevent ‘backsliding’ over Brexit.
I note with interest that Paul Nuttall would seem to have paniced at being investigated and not only have there been changes to his Wikipedia entry recently but he has now removed his LinkedIn entry but here is what it said before it was removed:
There is little doubt that Paul Nuttall will try to pass all this off as an error by a staff member – little men always try to blame others, men of competence and leaders of any ability accept the blame for their errors!

Former UKIP chairman denies sex offences
The former chairman of UKIP in Scotland has appeared in court, accused of a string of sexual offences.
Arthur Misty Thackeray, 55, denies 12 charges spanning eight years between October 2007 and December 2015, involving 12 different women.
The offences are said to have occurred at his Glasgow home, at 1 St Colme Street, Edinburgh and “elsewhere”.
UKIP Scotland leader and MEP David Coburn’s office is at the same address in the capital.
One of the charges is an alleged breach of the peace by making sexual remarks over the phone to a woman and her 14-year-old daughter and telling them he was watching a “sexually explicit video”.
Another is behaving in a threatening or abusive manner “likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm” by repeatedly contacting a woman and “causing” her to believe he was outside her home and watching her.

The other 10 charges are for allegedly “communicating indecently”.
These include contacting women by telephone, “uttering sexual remarks” and “directing sexual questions” at some of them, as well as causing some to believe he was watching adult material while talking to them.
He is also accused of causing another woman to believe he was watching her and causing her to hear “sexual noises”.
His lawyer Jackie White withdrew from acting due to problems with legal aid and the court appointed another lawyer when the case was called at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday. The case was continued until a later date.
Mr Thackeray stood down temporarily from his position in UKIP when the allegations came to light in January.

Ukip’s Enquiry Into The Fight Between Its MEPs An Inadequate Whitewash showing Ukip is inadequate to conduct a simple enquiry let alone represent Britain on an international stage!

Hi,
a whitewash to try to provide damage limitation for Ukip was of course inevitable in respect of the altercation between Steven Woolfe & Mike Hookem Ukip’s two MEPs who became involved in an altercation that by the addmision of both parties became physical – the only disputed fact is whether Hookem did or did not punch Woolfe.
That Hookem was rapidly spiritted away by his staff member Annabelle Fuller thus avoiding any embarrassing questions until a damage limitation story was in place. That he was unavailable to answer questions, believed to have been sheltered from the press in a VIP area before leaving Strasburg and returning to Britain early. That the proven liar and cheat Annabelle Fuller, sometimes passed off as Beatrix Trixie Sanderson, leads one to believe that her role was to keep Hookem out of sight and weave a tissue of lies to try to dupe the media as she has in the past.
I believe therefore that there is absolutely no rational grounds to believe a single word attributed to Hookem.
As for Woolfe, there is little doubt that his behaviour was foolish and irresponsible in the extreme. How can these two idiots be considered suitable international representatives of anything let alone constituencies of around 5 Million people!
That Ukip came up with this as the outcome of their enquiry and then fielded the most odious and ill mannered individual to defend themselves on the media speaks volumes of their squalid little party as does the abusive and pugnacious outburst of Hookem in the EU’s undemocratic and unprincipled chamber challenging Martin Schultz to Court action!
“The decision of Mr Hookem to join Mr Woolfe in the ante room is the only action which I have the ability to consider for disciplinary action. In the absence of eye witnesses, the true facts of what took place in the ante room itself are impossible to determine and neither man has made an official complaint to the party over the incident.
“Had Mr Woolfe not collapsed later that day, we may never have known that the altercation took place at all.
“However, as Chairman, I’m appalled that such a situation could arise between two of our most high profile representatives and I have strongly considered suspension as a possible course of action.
“I do however take into consideration the following:
(1) The apology and regret shown by Mr Hookem, for agreeing to join Mr Woolfe in the ante room.
(2) The excellent record of Mr Hookem in representing UKIP and its values prior to this incident.
(3) Acknowledging that Mr Hookem, whilst foolish, was not the instigator of this incident or subsequent press coverage and as such cannot be held principally responsible for either taking place.”
“In light of this, a formal reprimand will be placed on Mr Hookem’s internal record, to be considered in the event of a reoccurrence of any infraction which might cause damage to the reputation of the party.”
This statement from Ukip, at the end of their utterly inadequate enquiry, was totally predictable and also speaks volumes of both Ukip and the calliber of its MEPs who they have shown clearly to be untrustworthy as even Ukip’s enquiry has effectively admitted they can not trust the evidence of either of their own MEPs!
Interestingly we are given to understand that Ukip have also not accorded credibility to either the hospital, the doctors or the para medics or alternatively didn’t even obtain their evidence!
Fortunately Woolfe has issued a statement that he has made an official complaint to the police and we also have the public statement of Martin Schultz that he has requested the French Police to conduct an enquiry and we can be certain they will be granted public access to the EU building and its staff and incumbents.
This rightly moves the assault to a criminal footing for the police to investigate, thus clearly the Ukip statement can be treated with contempt and be dismissed as nothing more than a very amateur attempt to seek to act as damage limitation for the party.

Ukip insiders have confirmed the party has vacated its central London office and no one has “bothered looking for a new one”, leaving the troubled party without a headquarters.
A spokesman for Ukip told The Independent that while the party made use of the large office on Great Smith Street, Westminster, during the EU referendum campaign, it would now be “deeply irresponsible” to continue using members’ money to fund it, given the reduced operation and staffing.
“We’re in peace time now – not war time,” they added, confirming they left the premises early last week.
The Independent understands that a decision on relocating to a new office falls with the leader of the party and, as a result, it could be before the end of November before a new headquarters is found for the Eurosceptic party.

The party spokesman also dismissed suggestions they had been “kicked out” of their central London offices for financial reasons, adding that it was a “silly” claim and that some people are “talking through their hats”.
Raheem Kassam, who has put his name forward for the party’s leadership, and, importantly, has his own office in Westminster, added: “I’ve got no reason to pretend Ukip has more money than it does – but Ukip is not destitute.”
Mr Kassam said the landlord of the property in central London had “terminated the contract” and the party had not “bothered looking for a new one” while everyone was concentrating their efforts on the recent leadership contest.
One senior party source added that while they would “quite like” an office they were happy, for the time being, with their own “filing cabinet and a computer attached to the internet”.
“I don’t need six desks – I may be fat and messy, but I don’t need six desks.”
The party has been consumed with chaos in recent weeks after the newly elected leader Diane James resigned after just 18 days in the job, saying she had enjoyed members’ support but not party colleagues. Then Steven Woolfe, who was favourite to take the reins of the party, dramatically quit the party, branding it “ungovernable” and in a “death spiral”.
Mr Woolfe – who spent three nights in hospital after a row with a party colleague – said he was resigning from a party that had “elected politicians fighting each other”. And in recent days it has been reported that one of the party’s biggest donors, Aaron Banks, has been threatening to walk away.
A friend of Mr Banks told the Telegraph the millionaire is “absolutely” considering leaving the party, adding: “Now it is up in the air. He is not going to put any money in now – he is sick of it, absolutely sick of it.”

Who Does Nigel Farage Work For?
In April of this year, Nigel Farage, former city trader, former UKIP leader, warned US President Barack Obama about interfering with the UK referendum on ‘Brexit’. It was not his business, apparently. Obama is not British, after all.
His own involvement – or should that be interference? – in the Dutch referendum on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Ukraine was forgotten. That was different, of course. That was Nigel. Different rules apply when Nigel is involved.
It is generally accepted that the line of argument pursued by Farage on this issue was precisely the line that was bought and paid for by the Kremlin, which was heavily opposed to the FTA.
Now the formerly relevant Farage has popped up again, in the USA, campaigning for Donald Trump, who is seeking to become the first cartoon character to be elected to the office of US President. Trump’s political manifesto also seems to adhere to the Kremlin line. Such a coincidence. Indeed, close examination of Farage’s political colleagues in his EFDD political group in the European Parliament may also reveal a high level of similar ‘coincidence’.
Trump has been forced to drop certain staff with connections to the Kremlin, largely through the office of disgraced Ukrainian dictator and Kremlin puppet Viktor Yanukovych. Trump seems to have replaced his ‘useful idiots’ with – errr – Nigel Farage, once famously described as Kremlin funded media outlet Russia Today’s favourite British politician. Another ‘coincidence’.

It is rumoured that not only did Donald Trump fund a private jet to fly Nigel Farage to and from St. Louis to support him in the debate but that he paid him a further £25,000 and all expenses and of course the tax liable to the IRS! That, together with any broadcast fees he may have been paid by the likes of Fox and the consequential potential uplift in future fees from such as Russia Today (RT), due to the higher profile, makes for a very handy income for a weekend’s work!

Nigel Farage appears to be getting cold feet over his support for embattled US presidential contender Donald Trump.
Despite being on the campaign trail with the tycoon, the Ukip leader now claims he disagrees with him on ‘lots of things’.
And he believes there is ‘no question’ that the leaked tape of Trump boasting he can sexually accost women because of his fame has ‘really hurt him badly’.
Having defended Trump for ‘alpha male boasting’, Nigel Farage is now moving to distance himself from the Republican’s campaign
Farage singled out Trump’s treatment of women, his plan to ban Muslims from entering the United States, and his derogatory comments about Mexicans as the subjects on which he most disagreed with the Republican candidate.
After watching the 2005 tape of Trump bragging he can grope women because he’s famous, Farage said: ‘I just saw this whole thing as sort of an extreme form of alpha male boasting.’
Quizzed on other issues by Jeremy Paxman for a BBC documentary tomorrow, Farage admitted: ‘There are lots of things in the campaign that I couldn’t support in any way at all.’
Anti-Faragist elements in UKIP are seeking to censure their leader over his support for Donald Trump. The party’s beleaguered NEC is meeting today to discuss the punishment for Steven Woolfe and Mike Hookem, as well as the rules on whether Woolfe, Raheem Kassam and Suzanne Evans are allowed to stand in the leadership election. If Woolfe receives any sort of suspension he will theoretically lose his status as a member “in good standing”, leaving him ineligible. Intriguingly there are also moves afoot to issue some sort of punishment against Farage for his trips to the States to appear on stage with The Donald. Unlikely to succeed but a measure of how factional the UKIP NEC has become…
