many of you will remember the unpleasant spat and Nigel Farage & Ukip in general’s reaction to Amjad Bashir’s decision to quit Ukip to serve in David Cameron’s party within the EU.
Nigel Farage’s open criticism and libelous accusations of Bashir having acted in a dubious financial manner met with a clear reaction.
Although there were rumours and allegations at the time that a candidate had directly paid Nigel Farage for a position on the list as a prospective MEP! That Nigel Farage did not utilise the defence of ‘Veritas’ would seem to indicate it was not Bashir who paid a 5 figure sum to Nigel Farage for his position as a prospective MEP.
Details of the original libel alleged and for which Nigel Farage & Steve Crowther on their own and on behalf of Ukip apologised and signed an undertaking that they would not repeat the libels and as you will not they undertook to compensate Mr. Bashir.
That that story was written by A.B. Sanderson whom I am reliably informed is a false name used by Annabelle Fuller denounced in the EU Parliament as Nigel Farage’s sometime mistress and on Ukip’s payrole in some form or another – it is also worthy of note that the editor of Breitbary was in the employ of Nigel Farage aka Ukip in one form or another as part of Farage’s media corp.
As a point of interest it is clear, even from the article below, that for Nigel Farage, Steve Crowther or any other party to repeat the false allegations against Bashir is an offence under law!
UKIP’s Nigel Farage facing High Court threat from Amjad Bashir
UKIP leader Nigel Farage is facing legal action from an ex-UKIP MEP who defected to the Tories, the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire show has learned.
Amjad Bashir’s lawyers have written to Mr Farage asking him to publicly withdraw a range of allegations he made in January and pay damages.
The letter says otherwise he could face possible libel action in the High Court.
A UKIP spokesman said: “UKIP does not take part in trial by television.”
But it said it could not comment further while the legal case was ongoing.
Defection
Mr Bashir – MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber – joined the Conservatives in January, saying that UKIP had become a “party of ruthless self-interest” and had a “ridiculous” lack of policies.
But hours before his defection was to be made public he was suspended by UKIP, which said in a press release it was over “unanswered financial and employment questions”.
The following day, Mr Farage said he had become “increasingly alarmed” by Mr Bashir’s behaviour and that his “only surprise” was that the Conservative Party had accepted him as a member.
At the time Mr Bashir dismissed all the allegations – made on BBC One’s Andrew Marr programme and an interview on the Daily Telegraph and ITV websites – as “totally wrong” and an attempt to “muddy the waters”.

Now the Victoria Derbyshire programme has seen a nine-page legal letter from Mr Bashir’s solicitors, Atkins Thompson, sent in mid-March to Mr Farage and UKIP chairman Steve Crowther.
The letter says: “There can be no other conclusion that [the allegations] were published as part of a deliberate campaign on the part of UKIP and its most senior officers to discredit Mr Bashir in retaliation for his decision to join the Conservative Party.”
It demands that a press release detailing the allegations is removed from the UKIP website; that an apology to Mr Bashir is made in open court; and that damages and legal costs are paid.
“Contrary to the impression given by the press release, [Mr Bashir] had no forewarning of what UKIP had decided to allege,” the letter says.
In a statement, Mr Bashir said: “As soon as the various allegations were made it became clear that I had no choice but to pursue legal advice.
“I have taken that advice, we have compiled a case, and this now remains in the hands of my lawyers.”
He said he would not comment further on the case while it is still ongoing.
The BBC understands that lawyers representing both Mr Farage and Mr Crowther have asked for extra time to consider the letter and will respond by mid-April.

This all seems to have been deliberately ignored in recent days, leading us to expect that Nigel Farage, Steve Crowther and a list of others amongst their associates may well. within the next week or two, find themselves in Court facing very substantial fines and liable to punitive damages.

So imagine how utterly unsurprised I was, given my history with the Shakespeare wanker, to see that two ‘Vote Leave’ senior figures have already started slagging off UKIP and its members: Daniel Hannan MEP and Gisela Stuart MP.
Also high on the list of those flouting the law are displayed by these screen shots over the last few days:
Well it does look as if Nigel Farage & Steve Crowther are likely to appear being closely followed in the Courts by Breitbart, Raheem Kassam, Mick McGough, Annabelle Fuller and Mike Hookem MEP. None of whom would seem to have made it clear that the articles and facts to which the allude as being subject to an appology as libel and liable to possible punitive damages!
It is sad to see those making a pretence of rejecting membership of the EU so willing to undermise their claims to wish to Leave-The-EU, with their language and behaviour!
It will however be interesting to see how long they are silenced and how savage are the fines and damages as they bring the body political into disrepute at this crucial time in Britain’s history.

One has to worry at such a lapse of good sense by someone who was so clearly up to speed on EU matters in the past and co-authored the definitive book on The EU ‘The Great Deception’ there was a moment when one wondered just how easily Christopher Booker had been deceived by the lies and showmanship of Nigel Farage and his lack of any vestige of a responsible workable EU eXit and survival strategy for Britain, despite 22 years of claiming to wish to Leave_The_EU.
Ever the entertainer and showy salesman I guess Nigel Farage’s style and the bully boy tactics of the pond life that are his claque leading the Ukip Cult forward as clearly some are beguilled by it, it would seem Booker included! Little wonder that the electorate, having voted 2 to one to keep First Past The Post (FPTP), the Farage cult appreciating that with approaching 4 Million votes they have reached their zenith and without a change in electoral methods they will never break through the glass ceiling their odious behaviour has created.
As for the Dan Hannan approach we must be minded that all too often we are cautioned of the enemy within, and it is of course our own elected servants who have so unfailingly betrayed us for their own greater glory and a broader stage on which they can strut their vanity and nurture their expenses – it is these very politicians who have landed us as a vassal region in the supra national EU Empirate with its over blown, over paid and unelected armies of bureaucrats.
All too often such as Dan Hannan in persuit of their incomes and their cosy relationships have acted as Judas Goats leading us like lambs to the slaughter!
It is clear that neither Nigel Farage nor Dan Hannan have much of a clue as to how the EU functions having both failed to have any kind of responsible workable or plausible EU eXit and survival strategy and seem not to even understand Article 50 let alone the fast track version in Article 48!
Thaty is of course to give Dan Hannan & Nigel Farage the benefit of the doubt that they do not understand the EU nor either Article 48 or 50, there is a more sinister consideration and that is that they do understand and are duplicitously acting as Judas Goats – let us hope it is stupidity rather than outright dishonesty.
Either way it is increasingly clear that if such individuals are associated with the EU Referendum or if it falls under the control of the crano rectally retentive and self serving egos of the Westminster Bubble and their crassly ill informed media luvvies we can count on the EUroSceptic cause being lost and our status as a vassal of this failing behemoth being locked in until it finalluy collapses into pennuary and the wars of disassociation as member states squabble and then fight to retain the assets they can grab.
That said it is a relief to see Christopher Booker would seem to have overcome his senior moment and is back on track – though I readily understand the concept of mistakes made in desperation, the ‘old man in a hurry’ syndrome!
In this week’s column, Booker picks up on CBI president Mike Rake, and this thoroughly disreputable bank, Barclays, the very firm of which Rake is deputy chairman. It is, is facing a record-breaking fine of £1.5 billion for its fiddling of exchange rates, yet Rake feels he is entitled to tell us how we should be governed.
Booker notes that the CBI and the BBC have been shamelessly in cahoots over their support for Britain’s membership of the EU ever since the days when they were propagandising together for Britain to join the euro.
Almost daily they told us how, unless we joined the single currency, we were doomed. Foreign firms would pull out of Britain en masse. And of course they are both playing exactly the same game today, as David Cameron launches his campaign to negotiate for Britain a “new relationship” with the EU.
The one thing the Europhiles are absolutely desperate to keep out of the debate is the possibility that, even if we did leave the EU, we could continue trading with the single market just as we do now by remaining within the European Economic Area (as was superbly illustrated by the way Jim Naughtie impatiently tried to stop Owen Paterson making precisely this point yesterday morning).
The only argument we ever hear is that, if we left the EU, our trade with Europe would collapse: much as we shall hear from Mr Cameron when he returns from his “negotiations” with no more than a few little fig-leaves, to persuade us all to vote “yes” for staying in.
One considerable danger, however, is that the dressing-up of these “fig-leaves” will be so intense that a gullible media will fall for it, and present the Cameron deal as if it was something substantial, just like the treaty that he supposedly vetoed.
But the chief reason why this shabbily deceitful argument is being allowed to dominate the debate, says Booker, is the Eurosceptics’ inability to unite in explaining that there is only one possible route whereby the EU can be made to give Britain that “new relationship” Mr Cameron talks of.
Certainly, the likes of Rake are making a big thing about us not having a “credible alternative future to EU membership”, only to have Ruth Lea pop up with her utterly mad idea that the post-exit UK could rely on WTO rules, by which – she says – many countries, “including China, very successfully conduct much of their trade”.
I wouldn’t mind so much if this arrogant woman took the time out to keep herself informed but, as we pointed out, China has a substantial number of agreements with the EU, which transcend WTO rules and are vital for the conduct of trade. Not least is the raft of Mutual Recognition Agreements on conformity assessment, without which the flow of goods would be seriously hampered.
Fortunately – for the moment – many of the “inners” seem as ignorant as to the realities of international trade as is Ruth Lea, but if any of them had to wit to call her out, Mike Rake’s claim about the absence of a “credible alternative future to EU membership” would certainly stand if all we had to rely on was this woman’s dogma.
For us, though, this is a real problem, where our supposed allies are all over the place, doing – as Autonomous Mind asserts, more harm than good. Nevertheless, Booker wants Cameron to do the one thing he says he cannot agree to: by using Article 50 of the treaty to say that we wish to join Norway and others outside the EU, but still in the Single Market.
Booker also asserts that his bluff is finally being called, although that is not always the case. What we are getting is the likes of Prof Mark Taylor, of Warwick University Business School – who was on the Today programme yesterday, just before Owen Paterson. He told us: “We would be worse off outside the EU because we wouldn’t have access to the Single Market”.
This, bluntly, is an outright lie, but then Taylor probably feels he has to protect his income stream. In 2013, Warwick University took €7,462,052 in EU funding (and a share in a further €54,330,432-worth of projects, amounting to €8,030,622). Thus, in that one year (the latest figures available), their coffers were swollen by over €15 million from the EU.
However, money-grubbing euroids are only part of the problem. With Ruth Lea and many others who regard themselves as the Eurosceptic “aristocracy”, strutting their stuff, we stand at risk of remaining firmly shackled to all the superstructure of this failing political project.
As we point out elsewhere, those who are serious about winning this referendum are having to fight on three fronts. We have to deal with the underhanded lies of the pro-EU camp and also the brain-capsizing ineptitude of the Ukip. But there is also the selfish, self-absorbed right-wing think tank “aristocracy” who are neither use nor ornament.
We can only win if the anti-EU movement ups its game and starts doing its homework. But there is also the danger of the campaign being hijacked by Westminster careerist campaigners who get paid either way. Against that, we will have our “credible alternative future to EU membership”, but it is pointless doing all that work if it is lost in the noise created by our own side.

A few further thoughts on Nikki Sinclaire’s achievement with the team she has built and largely funded from her own income, and donations she has personally obtained.
Full marks to Nikki Sinclaire & her team in keeping the issue of Leave-The-EU alive and in the public eye with another petition of 100,000 signatures to be presented to Drowning Street on Thursday, to sustain the values of democracy & ‘Let The People Decide’.
Even having recruited high profile successes to the campaign like Katie Hopkins and various cross party political figures, it would likely be a referendum that would be lost without much more control influence forcing honesty and integrity on an unwilling Government.
Nikki Sinclaire has commissioned an independent poll showing 56% of the electorate want an In / Out referendum, and 71% of the electorate DO NOT trust their own politicians relative to The EU, this has added considerable gravitas to the campaign – giving The Sun, The Express and other media a ‘hook’ to hang the story on and a new perspective on which to formulate their support for the wishes of their readers and the electorate at large.
As Sinclaire states ‘The PM and his coalition ignore the electorate at their peril’.
Clearly it is not the genuine EUroSceptics like Nikki Sinclaire,

and the like that the parasites feeding at the EU troughs need fear nor even the ‘Plastic EUroSceptics’ like Daniel Hannen, Roger Helmer, George EUstace, Nigel Farage endlessly mouthing mantras but without forward movement as they ride the gravy train building a very lucrative career out of the words but hugely enriching themselves as the train rolls on ignoring them.
It is the electorate who not only do not trust their largely corrupt politicians, but who have been so clearly damaged by our undemocratic ensnarement as vassals of The EU, a malign experiment in social engineering with nothing but a trail of misery and expense to show for over 60 years of duplicity.
Even the EUro which has been, as openly and widely predicted, a complete disaster where, as was predicted, even ‘The Colleagues’ now admit has widened the gap between the Northern Economies and those of The Med. Yet ‘The Colleagues’ duplicitously present this as if it was an unforeseen consequence that must be rectified, not by the weaker economies cutting their cloth according to their means but by penalising and robbing the stronger economies to enrich failure!
Consider a well known FACT much hated by socialists and their communist mentors:
‘You can not enrich the poor by impoverishing the rich’.
I was particularly taken by a comment of Dr. Richard North today:
‘Arguably, the euro is to economics as the bumble bee is to aerodynamics. As we all know, that latter should not be able to fly, but it does. As for the euro, we all “know” that it should by now have crashed and burned … but still it exists.‘
In the light of these truths:
Well done to Nikki Sinclaire who has achieved this despite the constant lies and corruption of UKIP which has so harmed the EUroSceptic movement that clearly now it can be claimed their efforts have become part of the EU problem with no value for the solution.
UKIP have had 20 years to achieve something of value for the Leave-The-EU cause and they haven’t even managed to present an ‘Exit & Survival Strategy’ they seem to be far too busy bedding eachother and back stabbing in persuit of sexual gratification and enrichment to have done ANYTHING of consequence value or gravitas.
Well done to team Sinclaire & welcome Katie Hopkins to the team.
