Hi,

This is the response by Gerard Batten, leader of UKIP, to the proposed articles for a constitution for UKIP Wales (CLICK HERE):

“The Welsh ‘Grassroots Movement’ has no authority to propose or devise a UKIP Constitution for Wales. 

The Party Chairman and I sanctioned a Welsh Committee on the basis that it would concern itself purely with helping in practical matters such as the organisation of branches, the identification of council election and Westminster parliamentary candidates and the raising of funds. It has no authority to do anything else. 

Next week I will be visiting Wales to meet with the UKIP Assembly Members, including the UKIP political leader in Wales. I will tell them my plans for UKIP going forward and I expect them to tell me their plans for UKIP in Wales in accordance with our Constitution and Manifesto.

My message will be: there is no longer any time or effort to waste on infighting or jockeying for position. Either get behind the Party or get out. 

I expect UKIP Wales to prepare itself for the next election in Wales in whatever form that may come.”

Articles of a Constitution

1          The organisation shall be known as UKIP Wales.

2          UKIP Wales was formed at a Conference held at the Strand Hall, Builth Wells on 21st July 2018

3          Membership of UKIP Wales comprises all paid up members of UKIP who are:

domiciled in and registered as residing in Wales,

or who regularly attend UKIP Branch meetings in Wales

4          Objects:

1   to support and promote UKIP in all its endeavours and in particular:

(a)       to provide candidates for elections to the Westminster Parliament, Welsh Assembly,

Local Authorities and the European Parliament

(b)       to increase the membership of UKIP

(c)        to raise funds for UKIP

(d)       to campaign actively for UKIP

2   to operate within the Constitution and Rules of UKIP

3   to promote the formation of Regional and Constituency Branches in Wales

4   to mediate in the resolution of issues of conflict

5   to communicate with members

6   to develop policies for presentation to the Welsh Assembly

7   to consider National Policies affecting Wales and to advise accordingly

8   to draft Rules for electing candidates for the Welsh Assembly

9   to establish a 3 year rolling programme

 

5          The Governing Body of UKIP Wales shall be the Annual (or more frequent) General Meetings

of all paid up members of UKIP as defined in Article 3 above.

6          The Annual General Meeting shall:

1   elect a Wales Executive Committee comprising 15 members  made up of 3 members from each of the 5 Regions in Wales as defined by the D’Hondt List System which applies at Assembly Elections and comprising the following constituencies:

North Wales             Ynys Mon, Arfon, Aberconwy, Clwyd West, Vale of Clwyd,

Delyn, Alyn & Deeside, Wrexham and Clwyd South

Mid & West Wales               Dwyfor Meirionedd, Ceredigion, Montgomery, Brecon & Radnor,

Carmarthen East & Dynefwr, Preseli Pembroke, Carmarthen West &                                                         South Pembrokeshire and Llanelli

South Wales West    Gower, Swansea West, Swansea East, Neath, Aberavon, Ogmore                                                             and Bridgend

South Wales Central            Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda, Cynon Valley, Pontypridd, Cardiff                                                                        West, Cardiff North, Cardiff Central and Cardiff South & Penarth

South Wales East     Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney, Blaenau Gwent, Islwyn, Torfaen,

Caerphilly, Newport West, Newport East and Monmouth

(1)  the 3 members from each Region shall be elected by the members present from that Region

(2)  the first Regional representatives in each Region shall serve for 3 years, 2 years or 1 year

  • selection for any of the three terms shall be either by agreement, or by the drawing of straws
  • Regional representatives retiring by rotation may offer themselves for re-election
  • a casual vacancy shall be filled at the next General Meeting by the members present from the same Region electing a replacement to complete the term of the outgoing member
  • at subsequent Annual General Meetings the members from each Region shall elect one representative for a three year term

[A member of the Wales Executive Committee unable to attend a meeting shall be entitled to nominate a deputy on not more than 2 occasions within a twelve month period. The deputy shall be briefed by the elected Executive Committee member on issues to be dealt with. TO BE VOTED ON ]

2   receive a report from the Chairman of UKIP Wales

3   receive a report from the Treasurer on the state of the finances of UKIP Wales

4   receive reports from the Members of the Welsh Assembly

5   develop proposals for policies to be presented to the Welsh Assembly

6   develop proposals for policies to be adopted by UKIP nationally

7   The Annual General Meeting shall be held in February of each year

7          General Meetings:

1   Additional General Meetings may be called

in June of each year [after the usual election period of May and early June]

                        and October [after the National Conference and 6 months before the usual election period]

and at other times when considered necessary

2   A General Meeting may carry out any of the functions of the Annual General Meeting

3   Notice of a General Meeting and of the business to be transacted shall be sent to UKIP Members

in Wales at least 21 days in advance by email to those able to receive email

and otherwise (and if requested) by post

4   Failure of delivery of a Notice shall not invalidate the Meeting

5   The purpose of a General Meeting is:

to ensure that no-one can prevent participation by all UKIP Members in Wales

to provide a forum for all UKIP Members in Wales to meet and develop camaraderie

to facilitate development of Policy at all levels – Branch, Region and All Wales

to enable casual vacancies on the Wales Executive Committee to be filled without delay

8          The functions of the Wales Executive Committee:

1   the Wales Executive Committee shall elect from among its number a Chairman

Vice-Chairman and Secretary and such other officers as it thinks fit

2   it may appoint from outside its number a Treasurer and other officers

but such appointees shall not be entitled to vote

3   it may invite UKIP MEPs, MPs, AMs and Councillors to attend their meetings as guests

but such invitees shall not be entitled to vote

4   it shall meet regularly, and keep minutes in hard copy

distribution of minutes may be effected by electronic means

5   Notice of a meeting of the Wales Executive Committee shall be given at least 10 days in advance

details of the proposed Agenda shall be given at least 3 days in advance

6   The over-riding purpose of the WEC is to galvanise UKIP Wales into a force to be reckoned with

9          Confidence motions:

1   A General Meeting may pass a vote of no confidence in any member of the Wales Executive

Committee, or an unelected officer appointed by that Committee

2   The subject of a vote of no confidence shall vacate office with immediate effect

and shall not take any office for at least one year thereafter

3   Intended Motions of no confidence shall be communicated to all members

at least 21 days before the Meeting at which the Motion is to be tabled

10        The 5 Regional Branches:

1   The Constitution for Regional Branches is the same as for Constituency Associations

2   Each Regional Branch shall actively support the Objects of UKIP Wales set out in Article 4

3   Regional Branches shall hold regular meetings to which all members in the Region are invited

4   The Regional Branches will act as Regional Organisers for all Westminster and Welsh Assembly

elections in their respective Regions

11        The 3 levels, comprising:

1   the local Constituency Association (or Branch in the case of 2 or more Constituencies)

2   the Regional Branch

3   the UKIP Wales Conference (and its Wales Executive Committee)

are not hierarchical. Every UKIP member in Wales is a member at each level simultaneously.

The relationship between the three levels is one of co-operation and mutual support

for the purpose of furthering the aims of UKIP in Wales, and to that end:

The Regional Branch will never interfere with a Constituency Association which is fully functional

but will offer assistance where it is not

The Wales Executive Committee will never interfere with a Regional Branch which is fully functional

but will offer assistance where it is not

12        The Chairman of the Wales Executive Committee shall be the Leader of UKIP in Wales

[this is indicative only until there is a change of the UKIP constitution

                        currently the appointment of a Leader in Wales is by the National Leader Gerard Batten.]

One is forced, from experience, to wonder how long this will last before the squabbling breaks out – not long I would guess!

State of the parties in Wales: UKIP

“My gut feeling is that we’re going to get the Brexit that we fought for, and like your favourite old banger that you drove around and had wonderful picnics in and went to the seaside, it got you to where you wanted to go. But the day comes when you have to say goodbye to it and replace it, with a better model.”

Nathan Gill is not talking about a car, but about his own party.

As the party embarks on its third leadership contest in a year, UKIP’s MEP in Wales thinks that, unless the party can find a big issue to corral around like the Brexit negotiations, it could be curtains for its future.

Paul Nuttall, the party’s last leader, resigned after a dire general election performance which saw the party win no seats and, in Wales, saw UKIP lose all of its deposits in the 32 seats it contested.

Its share of the vote plunged too, from 13.6% in the 2015 general election to just 2%.

It didn’t always look like it was going to be this way.

Back in May 2016 UKIP formed a group in the assembly with seven AMs sitting in the Senedd.

The assumption held by many was that their assembly presence would serve as a springboard for the party to continue to build its presence in Wales.

So far, that has not happened.

Since the Senedd election two of their most high-profile members – Mr Gill and Mark Reckless – have gone independent, dwindling their assembly numbers to five.

UKIP also failed to take off at the Welsh council elections a month before the general election result, failing to win any seats.

David Rowlands, the UKIP AM for South Wales East and a long-standing member of the party, argues that the poor performance in June was not down to UKIP but the fact that the poll was like a “presidential” election.

“The reason that it looks so bad for ourselves is that we’ve hit such heights over the last few general elections,” he says.

But there had been internal disagreement over the party’s general election campaign, which focused on banning the burka as a key policy.

The policy aroused controversy inside and outside the party. It was criticised by Nathan Gill after the election, saying he had distanced himself from the campaign and that Muslim women should not be told by politicians what to wear. The policy prompted UKIP’s foreign affairs spokesman to resign .

The issue fed into the question around what UKIP’s purpose is now, with its core policy – Brexit – being implemented by the UK government.

Mr Gill, who remains a UKIP MEP despite being an independent AM after falling out with Senedd group leader Neil Hamilton, says the reality was that there “was the one issue that united us, and that was leaving the EU”.

“The only way really that UKIP can continue, I think, is if we have that big picture, that big goal of what we need to achieve,” he says.

The MEP claims a “half-baked” Brexit could “reignite UKIP”.

The new model Mr Gill refers to in his old banger analogy “may be a political movement, it may be a new party”.

It is important to remember that Mr Gill has had his own difficulties with UKIP in the last 12 months – having been threatened with expulsion by the ruling National Executive Committee over being both MEP and AM.

Meanwhile Mr Rowlands denies there is an existential threat to UKIP and says the party represents something others do not.

“What people don’t understand is, if someone should leave the UK Independence Party at the moment, which party would they go to to reflect their views?

“I’m dyed in the wool UKIP, but could I go somewhere else and feel comfortable that they care about this country in the way I care about the United Kingdom?”

He admits that some members have thought the job was done after the referendum.

“There was a feeling out there, and it was among a number of members of UKIP, that we’ve done the job that we came into being to do, we’ve got ourselves Brexit… therefore what is now the raison d’etre of the party?”

Mr Rowlands, however, says “large numbers” of members who felt that way are returning to UKIP because they fear the Brexit negotiations do not reflect what the British people voted for.

Unlike Mr Gill, Mr Rowlands said he had been comfortable with the burka ban policy.

“I think the burka is an appalling garment… to me its a symbol of oppression of women”, he says.

There are now 11 hopefuls who have registered an interest in taking over the party. They face a vetting process that is currently pegged to end this Friday, with voting due in September.

One of people thought to be a frontrunner is Anne Marie Waters – who has been vocal in her opposition to Islam.

There is talk of UKIP MEPs resigning if she won.

Mr Gill has been reluctant to say very much about the leadership campaign – he is not publicly backing a candidate.

The MEP is understood to be unhappy with the prospect of Ms Waters being allowed to run, although Mr Rowlands has himself said that she was unlikely to get through the vetting process .

He is backing David Kurten, a chemistry teacher and member of the London assembly.

Whoever takes the helm has the task of setting out a unifying purpose for the party that has struggled to find one since the EU referendum.

a cleart symptom of the irrelevance of UKIP in its present form is that its current leader has fallen out with at least 1/3rd. of his so called team and good performer he may be on some issues but leader he clearly isn’t – just see the policy mayhem in the public domain – the string of OLAF inquiries ito the thefts and scams of UKIP MEPs – consider the clear lack of democracy within the party – WOULD YOU want UKIP in ANY serious position of Governance.

Clearly UKIP leadership are a joke!

Endless childish stunts – criminal drunks as staff – No one of honour or integrity openly supports UKIP with its clowns like Mick McGough even the idiotic Douglas Denny has gone to ground and the list of people who have left them when they have a clear knowledge of the inside workings is quite scarey see CLICK HERE

Having lived firstly in The Aman Valley in 1981 and a subsequent 30 years based in Monmouthshire, on the edge of Wales I have taken a particular interest in the region – particularly as my Father was born in Llewynypia in 1921 – I have always taken an interest in Wales & Welsh political antics!

As a result of my interest and home I was, with Carys Pugh & Betty Bowen a founder of The NO Campaign for the destruction of Wales which I saw to be the outcome of Devolution – as it has proved to be for Wales, Scotland and these United Kingdoms – just to please The EU and aid it in the destruction of The UK.

To raise the profile we launched the slogan ‘JUST SAY NO’ and had a huge amount of merchandise and giveaways with the slogan all funded by private donation whilst the YES campaign was hugely funded by The Labour Party & Unions!

I also registered ‘The Welsh Assembly’ as a private Limited Company see CLICK HERE this led to it being an element of farce and the Government was forced to change the name to ‘The National Assembly for Wales’!

A measure of UKIP’s understanding of Welsh politics and Wales is they seem to understand so little they do not even know the construction or name of The Assembly nor point out it is an anti UK measure to aid The EU – they fail to even address Articles 263, 264 & 265 which are ALL that is pertinent in reality See CLICK HERE

United We Stand…
The United Kingdom.

It’s all in the name. However, we sometimes have to ask
“Which part of United Kingdom do you not understand?”

“A Union for the Future” is a case in point…

The Devolution Settlement is a stupid mess.
On that we can agree with Mr. Nuttall.
As for the rest of his proposal, we profoundly disagree
both in sentiment and logic.

UKIP Wales has worked for 10 years on its policy to Abolish the Welsh Assembly and use Welsh Westminster MP’s to sort out Welsh issues One week a month would be set aside for this. 
English MP’s would have English days for English issues.
The Welsh Assembly has 10 years of nonsense, waste and policy failure to its credit and is in trouble.
We are living in exciting times. Brussels and the Euro are about to self-destruct and the Devolved Assemblies are losing credibility fast. 
It seems our Noble Cause is about to be won.
Mr. Nuttall says that Scottish, Welsh and Irish devolution has weakened the Union. 
Yet he says that English devolution will strengthen it. Far from strengthening it, we believe that an English Assembly would cause our Union to shatter. He has proposed a policy document from hell. We have been anticipating this kind of proposal for several years but
expected it to come from Brussels or the Welsh or Scottish separatists.
For it to come from UKIP Central is a deeply disillusioning experience.
Even those who like Mr. Nuttall’s proposal must admit that it will frighten and upset a lot of people. Why do this? UKIP occupies the perfect position right now! You can’t improve on perfect, you can only go backwards. 
So what is the point of “A Union for the Future”?
The English have, for many centuries, been very grown-up and patient on this subject. 
They have put up with, we admit it, the slightly tiresome antics of the Celtic Fringe because it was worth it in the interest of the higher cause of UNITY. We believe the great majority of the English still feel this way passionately.
UKIP and the United Kingdom can, in effect, sit quietly and allow Victory to fall into our laps. We have won the arguments. Our enemies are in disarray. We see it in the newspapers and on the television every day.
There is just one danger left. “Ourselves.” It is still possible to snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory. How ? By developing and promoting new, wildly radical plans to tear up the British Constitution.
Whatever you strive for in life, you must always be very clear about
“..The Aim..”
and don’t allow yourself to be distracted from it.
We put it to you that UKIP’s aim is, and always has been:-..
“To preserve the United Kingdom INTACT !”
That, of course, means we must get out of the European Union. It also means that we must resist the Balkanisation of Britain.
We urge you to reject Mr. Nuttall’s policy proposal and support our efforts in Wales to remain a very close partner in the most successful Union the world has ever known

Long Live The United Kingdom !
UKIP Wales There are two Principles, which underlie everything that UKIP stands for… 
One is the integrity of the UK, and the other is independence from the EU.
All policies must be judged in accordance with these principles.
The EU has long known that divide and conquer is the only way to create its Superstate. Under the EU’s stated plans, Britain is destined to be turned into 12 regions. After Labour came to power in 1997, the first of these devolved regional assemblies were created in Scotland, Wales, London and Northern Ireland.
UKIP Deputy Leader Paul Nuttall proposes that by breaking the UK into 5 Regions (London, England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland) and creating an English devolved Parliament, this will be a victory for UKIP, which will thwart the EU’s ambitions.
This is not the case.
It would, in fact, complete the next phase of Brussels’ plan to break up the UK.
Brussels always works on the ratchet principle. The next move by the EU would be to foment dissatisfaction in the North of England using present financial difficulties and to promote a split between North and South. Following that they would revive the ‘Regions of England proposal’ which failed last time. Then they would exploit any problems by installing unelected puppet regimes as they have just done in Greece and Italy.
The separatists in Wales also work on the same ratchet principle. Having just achieved more power in a biased referendum they are already asking for further powers. The lesson of history is that appeasement never works; it just leads to more demands.
Up until March of 2011, UKIP was the only mainstream political party that opposed the EU’s Regionalisation Plan for the UK.
The Party is now asking the membership if this should still be the case or if we should accept and push for separate devolved governments in the UK.
As a party, we are made up of people from all of the United Kingdom coming from many political backgrounds.
To adopt a policy that will be divisive, at the exact moment when we must be unified is folly. The EU is teetering on the brink, and diverting our efforts from our ultimate aim is madness. Britain leaving the EU is our aim, and dabbling in policies that will polarise the membership is an error of judgment.
Unless you live under one of the devolved
governments, you probably are not aware of the existing UKIP policy to address devolution.
The question we are asking, is:
“What was wrong with the existing policy?”
This is set out on the following page.
It does not pander to any other pressure groups. Paul Nuttall’s proposal was co-written by Eddie Bone and Scilla Cullen who are members of the Campaign for an English Parliament.
The existing policy is simple. It will not cost any more money but will save money – less politicians to pay. The civil service is already in place, and the MPs are already elected and paid to do their jobs.
It does not tamper with a formula that has worked for hundreds of years, and it addresses the injustices that some in England feel with the current state of affairs.
How it would work MPs are elected by first past the post in the same way and from constituencies that currently exist.
For three weeks each month MPs would meet in Westminster, as at present, to debate and vote on British matters (non devolved).
On the fourth week, the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish MPs would meet in their home capital cities to deal with devolved matters.
There would be no further devolution of powers.
We would however lose the additional layer of politicians as the MPs would now do the job of MSPs, AMs and MLAs.
Purely English matters would be dealt with in England solely by English MPs.
Upper Chamber..
Every legislative body needs scrutiny otherwise poorly drafted and bad laws will result.
The House of Lords needs reform, not abolition.
English MPs.. Scottish MPs.. Welsh MPs.. Northern Ireland MPs.
British Parliament.
MPs elected from all of the UK Constituencies meet for 3 weeks of the month in Westminster.
United We Stand.
United We Stand.

Opposes the EUs Regionalisation Policy.
Will not distract us from getting out of the EU.
Answers the West Lothian Question without.
breaking up the UK.
No extra politicians/buildings/bureaucrats.
Maintains historic role of Parliament & MPs.
How Do They Compare?
Conclusion:
We believe passionately in the Union of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This Union has brought enormous benefits to us and to the wider world.
Our proposal is not regionalisation. It does not create new bodies or pander to separatist nationalists.
This is our answer to the West Lothian question, and the only way to preserve the Union.
We believe the membership of UKIP need to discuss this crucial policy at a “Constitutional Conference”, where the true feeling of the membership can be expressed.
“A Union for the Future” has the possibility of being very divisive for..
the Party.

Hi,

increasingly it seems UKIP is unfit for purpose – first shown with absolute certainty by the misjudgement of Nigel Farage in glibly dumping his party to persue his personal ambitions by seeking a seat in The General Election in Buckingham.

The astonishing fact was that Nigel Farage was so staggeringly out of touch with reality that he believed betraying his party and handing it over to the idiotic Malcolm Lord Pearson who lacked ANY of the skills needed to lead a political party – he was even more farcical and inept as a leader than Farage has proved himself to be!

Many will remember I predicted the outcome long before the election and to ensure a voice and contact with the election, in the certain knowledge that John Berkow would be re-elected I deliberately supported the Independent Tory MEP John Stevens who didn’t stand a prayer of being elected but would at least show the folly of Farage’s self importance – AS HE DID!

Obviously this would be too complicated a concept for the political illiterates of UKIP to understand, but the point was made!

just as UKIP’s claims to be professionalising have to date made them look little more than stupid to date with the sad figure of Steve Reid  passing himself off as some sort of priest and playing the fool with others in UKIP, including Farage and some of his muppets, totally undermining any pretence of professionalism as they paraded a rather shoddy box as a coffin to bury the €Uro.

Almost on a par with the unprofessional idiocy of their childish stunt with buckets at Westminster – but who would put money uin a bucket unaccounted by UKIP – just how gullible are their supporters! Redollent of their running around the streets in a 1945 scout car from a museum in the pretence it was a tank! If they thought that who would want a UKIP policy on defence!!

We also see them dressed in chicken suits and with blow up toys – Just where is this professionalism?

One can hardly see the behaviour of the liar and cheat Mick McGough as professionalising the party as he drags the party into the gutter in which he clearly lives!

Had it not occurred to UKIP that telling lies in public about its own MEPs was likely to land them in hot water as the nadir of professionalism and then having some fool of a consultant passed off as the CEO and master of professionalising conducting public spats with their own MEPs on Forums.

Even now have they not realised that professionalism is relatively checkable not just with FoIs which reveal that there are a number of rulings against UKIP MEPs by OLAF and that UKIP are in many ways effectively bankrupt with no signs of any significant backer as nothing has been heard of Stuart Wheeler their only known backer for months – he hasn’t even stepped forward to support the failed leadership team and its parasites, could this be yet another ‘Crisis of Confidence’ on his part having once again made a fool of himself as he did with The Tories!

So to look a little further at this professionalism we note they had a period of advertising many and varied policies but when the duplicitous liar and cheat David Bannerman lived down to predictions and betrayed the party as ever and decamped back to The Tories in a staggering act of repeat betrayal  – only to publish an article trashing The Tories within days!

Now there’s professionalism!

To live down to expectations UKIP removed all policies!! However when this was pointed out on this blog within a matter of hours in a frenetic panic they wrote an entire set of one page policies and put them out on public Forums – such panic from a ‘professional’ Party was quite touching!!

This evening I thought I’d have a look at how far professionalism had percolated through the party only to find almost every page on UKIP Wales web site was in Latin sample text/blank or flagged up a 404 error indicating no such page existed or the linkages were broken!

UKIP Wales is clearly not just deeply flawed but undeniably broken! So by using a bit of outside the box thinking we find there is a secondary web site which is run or at least claims to be run from Lexdrum House and that is even less professional – Why are we not surprised at such obvious professionalism from this ship of fools.

In the light of this degree of professionalism may I put forward the thoughts of UKIP employee, as listed on their web site and the one time professional adviser to John Bufton – Kevin Mahoney who should know a thing about hot air after years as a gas engineer he was clearly bereft of any understanding of professionalism as can be seen by his many public postings abusing members and supporters of UKIP either in his own name or that of Stathans!

Here are the latest thoughts of this professional bufoon:

Given that apparently a report examining and damning just 167 expense claims from 2004 is now about to be released.

Isn’t it about time that the scandal of our own UKIP MEPs hiding their expense claims with that ‘Insult to the intelligence’ expense template that they concocted and publish on the MEP’s website is scrapped and replaced with a full and frank display of every penny that they claim?

Apart from the very obvious fact that they should have openly declared every penny claimed since first being elected the only rational conclusion to be reached from the insult that is their current partially obscured expense claim pages is that our MEPs en-bloc are trying to hide the scale of their claims.

Lets at last try and display a touch of honesty and transparency from those who appear to have taken the cash but are not so keen to openly display how much!

To be honest I feel that each and every UKIP MEP who agreed to adopt the travesty of the current expense declaration template in use at present should hang their heads in shame and not be allowed to stand again on a UKIP ticket in my opinion!

This has all the professionalism we have seen from UKIP’s CEO Steve Crowther in the manner in which such management is conducted in public.

Almost as crass and damaging as the odious liar and cheat Mick McGough or fools sheltering their political ineptitude and ill mannered ignorance as cowards with silly troll names – too ashamed of their own stupidity and dishonesty to put their real identities to their vituperative behaviour which is so damaging to UKIP such as the foul mouthed Fuller under various guises, Independent UKIP who so consistently makes a fool of himself and demeans UKIP and the rest of the trash gathered as the parasites and sycophants of the failed UKIP leadership.

A so called Leadership still struggling to find out what professionalism means let alone implement it as they have recently shown with their PEPP hustings campaign where the pro vote is fronted by well documented liars and why are we not surprised that even in their video selling the scam to the beleaguered  members Mick McGough outright lies whisl the liar Stuart Agnew in this instance merely misleads having already announced he couldn’t give a stuff what the members want or vote for he will do what suits his pocket!

Now it seems that the YES vote has, if not cooked it goose at very least the party has porked the staff!! Indeed in a degree of astonishing professionalism having campaigned on one subjec t now intends to alter the question to seek a last ditch attempt to get the vote they want for themselves!

UKIP gets to be more like The EU and more compliant day on day!

Professionalism in UKIP’s leadership and their parasites seems to be dependent on how large the bribes are from the EU to obtain their help in selling out the principles of UKIP’s members!

Hi,

Christine Williams a UKIP supporter took a stand and has encouraged the organisers of The Way on High Book Festival event to withdraw their invitation offering a platform for the radical extreme and vile Anjem Choudaray who has brought such shame on the Muslim peoples particularly of Britain with his sick self serving and offensive interpretation of Islam whilst enjoying and exploiting the Freedom of Speech in Britain – denied in ALL Muslim Countries world wide.

Mr. Choudray has shamed Muslims in Britain by preaching extremist hate filled personal interpretations of their treasured and respected choice of religion/superstition/belief – just as zionism so befouls the reputation of Judaism world wide or the satanic cult aspects of Mormons befouled those who claim a christian belief.

Sadly all superstitions and belief structures have their extremist nutters – Mr. Choudray is just such a vile individual he abuses freedom of speech in the most cowardly way exploiting the stupidity of others.

Sadly Christine Williams’ ethical stance in the name of UKIP is rather undermined by UKIP’s associations with racism, anti Judaism, violent anti homosexuality and Holocaust denial of members of The Pan EU EFD Political Group UKIP shares and chairs with pro EU membership reformists!

That UKIP Wales made such an obvious mess of the recent elections has also done little to help her get her message across or badged to UKIP.

UKIP’s results in wales were an abject failure due to a complete lack of strategic understanding of Politics in general and wales in particular – a lack of consistency of message, a carpet bagger approach and a total failure of not only vision but leadership. UKIP’s staff on the ground have with their unpleasant manner, lack of manners and stridently offensive behaviour have merely offended  supporters and would be supporters as did the RO Jim Carver of old with his indollent disintertest and efforts to personally gain.

Hi,

clearly UKIP’s achievements lived down to the predictions made by this blog and for every one of the reasons this blog and Junius predicted.

The outcome of the utter incompetence and leadership failure was completely predictable how ever they may wriggle.

The results show we were right and we warned them and not only were they wrong but their odious behaviour and open lies and abuse – particularly Kevin Mahoney has done much to harm UKIP Wales.

ASSEMBLY ELECTION: UKIP blame “strategic error” for loss

THE UK Independence Party believes a “strategic error” cost it a South Wales East regional seat.

It was so confident of winning one of the three list seats, that leader Nigel Farage was at the count in Newport on Thursday night.

However, he left disappointed, with a spokesman for the party saying on Friday that members have been left “scratching our heads” as to why candidate David J Rowlands didn’t get in.

He said: “The opinion polls and final results are quite different. They had been consistent over a period of months, giving us hope. So, it wasn’t an unreasonable belief.”

With the party having a Welsh MEP in John Bufton, the spokesman said they saw South Wales East as their best hope of winning a seat, adding: “Wales is the place we’re fighting, moving forward”.

But, he said the party made a “strategic error” in putting a candidate forward for the regional seat, but not for local seats.

“We don’t think the opinion polls were wrong, so we’ve been left scratchng our heads a bit,” he said. “But, it gives us plenty to think about. I think people who vote for one party in the local ballot aren’t likely to go for a different one on the regional ballot.

“So, it was perhaps our approach that was wrong and a strategic error we didn’t put candidates forward for places like Caerphilly and Newport.But, we know the potential is there as plenty of people voted for us.”

Hi,

at around 02:25hrs. with probabilities having been announced that UKIP might just scrape in with a position as one of the superannuated councillors in The EU Regional Assembly in Wales.

Farage has stated on Radio 4 that to obtain ONE of the 60 available seats would with 2 seats in Northern Ireland and around 24 seats on other Councils where there are over 9,000 seats available would be a success.

Well after 18 years!

We all have our own standards and ambitions mine was that UKIP would be our lifeboat to lead Britain out of The EU. Lets face it with even Farages two dozen councillors elected 3 assembly members and his 10 MEPs – this would be a record, they would have more than The BNP have lost in the last year!

That would be between 30 and 40 elected seats held out of the total of 19,500 Nationwide. In real terms someone might get away with saying ‘Just one more push’ might have had some credibility with 3-4,000 – though we all remember David Steel’s political suicide with the risible ‘Go back to your homes and prepare for Government’.

UKIP’s results with poll after poll showing 80% of our laws are made in The EU (most of the others are irrelevant adjustments and ALL must comply with The EU) and time and again polls show that a majority of people actually agree with UKIP’s core aims of Leave-The-EU which has been so diluted by their squabbling and diluting the message with fatuous posturings beyond their remit that the results over 18 years can ONLY be seen as abject failure.

At present rate of achievement UKIP will take more than 100 more years to achieve ANYTHING that could be called success.

The tragedy is that UKIP is clearly unfit for purpose under its present  self serving leadership and the corrupt and odious claque of parasites feeding at UKIP’s expense.

I wonder if any of UKIP’s leadership claque of sycophants have read Oliver Cromwell’s speech to the Long Parliament in The House of Commons in April 1653, those with integrity my have a pang of conscience at their betrayal of the people, or will their hubris, arrogance and greed overcome such behaviour.

I note that John Bufton’s blog on UKIP.org was last updated in March – Godfrey Bloom’s has no updates since December 2010 – Marta Andreasen’s seems to make no comment on UKIP’s domestic elections – Just what are these useless articles for? Did no one tell them there was an election in progress or did they make no money from such menial tasks as taking a visible role canvassing and campaigning.

Even Deadbeat Derek Clark managed to get someone to write a letter for him that was published and although he and his staff have all but destroyed UKIP East Midlands and reduced Leicester to a farce ending up with the hapless and discreditted Duffy taking over control.

Agnew’s only visibility was giving advice on democracy and advocating a YES vote for UKIP or the NFU we know not but speaking as an EFD Representative who the hell cares? It was a bit rich to see this proven thief who was shown also to have corrupted electoral law by money laundering, lecturing anyone but his defence lawyer on prostituting principles to obtain money!

Yes to be fair Farage has on many occasions proved to be a good performer but he has clearly been a risible cringeworthy disaster as a leader – how can anyone but either a liar, a fraud or a mental retard pretend that after 18 years 30 or so elected representatives out of the 19,500 is anything other than a catastrophic disaster.

Unless of course you happen to be one of the handfull who are on the gravy train on a self interest programme

WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO JUSTIFY THEIR EXISTENCE?

Hi,
It looks to me as if UKIP would be in with around 7% of the vote on top up, in any one of the 5 areas, but with such spectaculary lack luster candidates who to a man are politically poorly informed it seems unlikely.
That said John Bufton got in and that was clearly not based on political understanding or speech making ability. Nor even keeping abreast of issues.
Further harm is done to UKIP’s prospects in Wales by the offensive and beligerent nauture of their Regional Organiser Kevin Mahonney who has worked so hard to abuse and offend UKIP supporters in Monmouthshire and Wales and even beyond.
UKIP’s presence has not been helped by its abject failure to keep its people informed and its dire web site, which at one time this year was over 3 months out of date, and it was not until this blog and also Junius highlighted the fact that someone in Wales woke up!

It has become increasingly clear that John Bufton besides the collapse in his health has had a crisis in faith with regard to UKIP’s new stance as supporters of racism, xenophobia, anti Judaism and violent anti homosexuality and it has reach such a stage that John Bufton as a withdrawalist was unwilling to join his party leader and the rag tag that forms his own Welsh committee for the launch of the UKIP campaign.

John clearly does not believe in the vaulte face of policy to supporting reform for the EU.
It is also risible that whilst UKIP not only espouse paper candidates to reach the mere 1,200 or so thery are standing in Britain they are happy to insult the electorate by placing a schoolgirl as their proposed candidate for Mayor to oversee the £Billion Budget of that city and deliver services via one of the East Midlands largest employers Leicester Council!

Meanwhile in Wales the exact opposite course is taken to not present a single solitary candidate but just a few pool candidates for indirect election on top up votes – the two policies are clearly mutually exclusive!

I have my doubts whether UKIP stands any chance of a candidate being elected – clearly it deserves none on its track record – also it is worth considering in the light of the irrefutable fact it has not fielded anyone of competence, gravitas, stature or charisma whether EUroRealism’s long term interests are best served by avoiding the risk of embarrassment that the likely candidates may heap on UKIP.
We have seen the damage done to UKIP’s credibility with the crass ineptitude of such as Wee Willy Dartmouth, David Bannerman, Tom Wise, Godfrey Bloom, Stuart Agnew, Derek Clark, Nigel Farage and the duplicitous Marta Andreasen and the false loyalty of John Wittaker and Paul Nuttall – particularly in their support of The Pan EUPolitical Party EFD Group – merely prostituting principles and ethics for perceived cash!

WALES

National Assembly elections
This is the first poll since 2007, after which Labour formed a coalition with Plaid Cymru.
As in Scotland, voters will be required to fill in two separate ballot papers.
Forty Assembly Members (AMs) will be elected from single constituencies under first-past-the-post. The second ballot will be used to elect four AMs from each of five electoral regions under a party list.
There have been no major boundary changes since 2007.
The new Assembly will have direct law-making powers in 20 devolved areas, such as health and education, after voters backed the move in a referendum in March.
Local council elections are due to take place next year.

I was sorry to hear on the one hand that John Bufton MEP was unwell and unable to attend the launch so close on the heals of the news that he had recently managed to get his snout back in the trough on the gravy train by going to Brussels – let us hope he was just doing what he seems to do best in Wales – Keeping a low profile and is in fact regaining his health adequately to have some common sense and disassociate himself from the corruption, racism and dishonesty of being in Farage’s squalid ‘Delboyesque’ claque of nere do wells liars and cheats masquerading as a leadership team!

Matt Withers: UKIP thinking’s out of tune

THE UK Independence Party, while opposed, chose not to get directly involved in the No campaign in last month’s referendum on the National Assembly’s powers.

At the launch of its election campaign, you could see why True Wales, the No camp, might have breathed a sigh of relief.

Not just because of some of its ideas, but because, demographically, Ukip make True Wales look like a bunch of hip young gunslingers.

At Cardiff Bay Yacht Club, the overwhelmingly male, exclusively white audience was predominantly elderly, and clad in blazers complete with the pound logo – the currency Ukip remains convinced every mainstream party wants to abolish.

Leader Nigel Farage, right, stands out – an accomplished speaker and raconteur with a good way with people. But the manifesto – oh, the manifesto! Weeks after the Assembly’s primary lawmaking powers were overwhelmingly endorsed, Ukip wants to “renew” it, by keeping the building but sacking all AMs. Their role would be taken by Welsh MPs coming to Cardiff Bay one week in every four to vote on devolved issues.

Other vows Ukip makes in this devolved election – contained in its manifesto We, The People – are to repeal the Human Rights Act, end mass immigration and send young offenders to boot camps. All promises it couldn’t keep if, by some quirk, it took all 60 seats on May 5.

Oh, and it’s vowing to replace income tax and VAT if it wins. No income tax, no VAT? That’s the theme tune from Only Fools And Horses.

And you might be forgiven for thinking there’s something a bit Delboy about this campaign.

Sadly UKIP Wales has so collapsed that when the vote in The Welsh Referendum on MORE POWERS was held UKIP Wales’ web site was several months out of date.
They seemed to have absolutely no campaign, their intent and message was all but a secret save one or two instances where a spokesman of no note was fielded in debate.

The entire UKIP Wales is as Wales on Siunday described it above ‘Thinking out of step’ their only political answer is to have that ghastly ill mannered and ill informed twerp insult and abuse supporters and drag UKIP Wales into his gutter on public forums too ashamed of his own behaviour to use his own name he hides in the most cowardly fashion calling himself ‘stathens’.
