The corruption of EUkip’s leadership,
their anti UKIP claque in POWER & the NEC

is what gives the remaining 10% a bad name!

.

Ex UKIP Leader Craig MacKinlay, who quit The Farage Cult in 2005, is Standing For The Tories In Thanet in the general election in 2015.

Hi,
it is a bitter irony for the Farage cult that after long years of desperate efforts to attract sitting Tory MPs, having only attracted the Tory’s failures and rejects, now the closest they are likely to come to having an MP elected, to Westminster next year, may well be an ex UKIP leader of UKIP who defected to the Tories several years ago.
Farage’s party has always been seen as a protest party as shown by their dismal showing in UK domestic elections when you consider they haven’t had a single candidate even come close to being elected to Westminster even in a by-election with all the odds on their side, as when they used the enbittered ex Tory long term MEP when they were riding the crest of there wve after the EU elections.
A measure of their failure in domestic politics has been their failure to have a single Mayor and the faxt that more Independents were elected as Police Crime Commissioners by a long shot than Farage had any chance of whilst their percentage of Councillors across the country has been risible and a significant number of them have had to resign due to their racist outbursts and general idiocy!
Now Craig MacKinlay stands every chance of being elected in Thanet possibly running against Farage, whose best achievement to date in Thanet, where he stood in 2005, was a meagre 2,079 votes and when he stood against John Berkow in Berkshire with both Labbour & the Lib.Dims. fielding no candidate in respect for the parliamentary convention of not standing against The Speaker of the House, he was beaten into third place by a relatively unknown Independent & Farage obtained a poor third with only 8%.
Craig MacKinlay stands every probability of being elected to the seat when he stands in 2015 to replace the Tory MP, Laura Sandys when she stands down. There is every possibility that Farage will not stand against MacKinlay as it would be the death nell of his party were he to be defeated in such a clash, as it would show all too clearly he has converted his party to a cult rather than as a serious political contender in domestic politics.
Having surrounded himself with ‘Praise Singers’ whom he has hansomely rewarded in return for their sycophancy and in some cases cash, with places high on his MEP selection list – thus having a gaggle of stunningly insignioficant and largely irrelevant MEPs willing to turn a blind eye to the racism and extremisim of many of UKIP’s members and particularly Farage’s chosen associates to build his ‘Milch Cow’ in the EU parliament for his EFDD vehicle.

Ex-Ukip leader Craig Mackinlay set to stand as Conservative MP for Thanet South

Thanet South was believed to be one of the constituencies Ukip leader Nigel Farage could have contested in next year’s general election

An ex-Ukip leader has been selected to stand as the Conservative candidate for the Kent constituency of Thanet South in next year’s general election.

Craig Mackinlay has been chosen by the Conservative Party to replace Laura Sandys as the candidate for the election set to take place in May 2015.

Mackinlay, who temporarily led Ukip in 1997 before being replaced by Michael Holmes, said in June that there was a “distinct possibility” that he could stand as the Tory candidate for the seat.

In 2005, Farage finished fourth when he stood in the same constituency, and it is believed he is eyeing up the seat for next year’s election.

A decision on which constituency Farage will contest is expected to be announced later this summer.

Mackinlay began his political career in the early 1990s as part of Alan Sked’s Anti-Federalist League, the party that would later become the UK Independence Party.

After being chosen as the person to replace Sked, he lost a leadership vote to Michael Holmes in 1997 and was demoted to the role of Ukip’s Deputy Leader until 2000.

Remaining active in the party for another five years, in 2005 he decided to switch allegiances and join the Conservative Party where he has served as a Tory councillor in the Medway council ever since.

He was also chosen as the Conservative candidate for Kent’s first ever Police and Crime Commissioner Elections in November 2012.

Farage has refused to comment on the Conservative’s decision to put forward his former Ukip colleague for the seat.

Mr Mackinlay will be up against Will Scobie (Labour), Russ Timpson (Liberal Democrats) and Ian Driver (Green Party)

As someone who now admits he has never joined a political party is the most surprising of all your revelations. I’m beginning to understand why you are producing all this anguished rhetoric that helps no one to better understand the reasons why we must leave the EU. All it does is explain your frustration with the political process in the UK. If you are not aligned to any one political party and think it’s best to spoil your ballot paper, when given the opportunity, then why not just abstain and go and do something more productive. The only way to attempt to influence things politically is to join a party or form another. When I read your latest offerings I wonder what is motivating the latest attack. Surely if you truly want to influence the future direction of the UK then you need, out of practical necessity, to be aligned a political grouping. It is also noticeable how you only seem to pick on UKIP and it’s better known members but never turn your attention to the real villains in the Tory, Liberal and Labour parties. Now if you were to do that I would have more sympathy with your aims for as it is you are only demonstrating some inner hatred that fails to impress most of your hopeful readership. In fact looking at some or your other posts makes me wonder why very few comments are ever made if ever to the many revelations you make. Is it because you are secretly a closet Conservative and fear for their chances next time around because that’s how it appears to me.

    • Hi,

your opinion is noted and is clearly inaccurate in almost every personal detail!

You rather foolishly jump to assumptions about me and my motivations which are bunkum but clearly you would not wish facts to get in the way of your fantasies and personal ambitions!

Whatever happens in Thanet there will not be Tory MP next time around. The locals are not impressed with the likes of Mackinlay simply because he is a party hopper and has little gravitas with anyone outside his council of admirers. Whether Nigel Farage decides to stand in this constituency or another will change little because whoever stands for UKIP in Thanet will romp home. If you avail yourself of the voting numbers for the European elections you will see the clear trends running through the whole of Kent and well on into East Sussex. Everyone I come in contact with confirms they are still intending to support UKIP next time around because the thought of having no UKIP representation at Westminster for another five years is just not worth considering. I know you, along with large sections of the national media, are trying your best to dissuade people from voting UKIP but your efforts are all to no avail. You can keep trying to rubbish those who for some reason you so dislike but it will have no effect. We are reaching a tipping point in British politics where the majority have decided enough is enough of the old establishment and they a want a change. When change is in the air those with something to lose and those with vested interests starting kicking like wounded tigers and venting their hatred of the new force. Try and accept that our democracy seldom pleases everyone and there will always be winners and losers. It’s a pity on this occasion you choose to be on the losing side.

    • Hi,

you overlook the fact that UKIP encourages ‘party hopping’ having absorbed many of the Tory failures and rejects – you overlook ther fact that UKIP’s last 5 leaders jhave all been party hoppers, including Knapman (a Tory MP who lost his seat in Stroud & was refused any other seat) Nigel Farage who was a staunch supporter and activist in the Tory party who saw greater opportunities for himself in Alan Skedd’s new party. Malcolm Pearson was of course a Tory acting as a fund raiser for Thatcher but to avoid the embarrassment of his attempts to become an MP Thatcher ‘booted him upstairs’ and gave him a peerage & so it goes on!

UKIP is stuffed with failed Tories and Tory rejects.

As for gravitas – at least Craig MacKinlay has some skills being a qualified accountant – unlike Farage who has a very shoddy track record of employment even for a professional politician, which he clearly is, regardless of his lack of man management and leadership skills and his unprincipled and hedonistic behaviour.

As for UKIP’s achievements as the dustbin into which people cast their protest vote, only the very politically naive would consider their vote count in the EU election as any harbinger of success to come in a general election – we all saw the collapse after the lprevious EU election when the naive and the spin merchants predicted great things to come, which never materialised and do remember that Farage can be expected to fall out with between 8 & a2 of his present crop of deadbeat MEPs amongst whom there is not a si9ngle one of gravitas and notable competence.

At the moment with no competent leadership a deputy who is a liability and endless media and press comment that is more damaging to UKIP than it is of help – just await the exposes that are to come which liars, spin merchants and the foolish will try to pass off as some sort of conspiracy when it is clear it is just the media doing its job and again and again exposing the truth – It bodes ill that Nigel Farage wouldn’t understand loyalty, integrity or ethics if it bit him and has a track record of lies and dishonesty, infidelity and booze induced stupidity.

Full marks to Farage he is at times a very plausible liar but so also are all sociopaths.

Being a peospective candidate for a future place on Farage’s gravy train I can well understand your efforts to defend his party but when all is said and done can you name any achievements towards leaving the EU that UKIP has achieved – they even went so far as to help Cameron by7 not campaigning against The Lisbon Treaty which was in reality a new constitution for The EU that locked down many of the exit routes leaving the ONLY honourable and responsible route out as Article #50 andf UKIP to this day has absolutely no viable and responsible exit and survival strategy.

May I commend to you a serious and responsible study of FleXcit which can be found at:
      http://www.flexcit.org

I believe that once you have read and understood this document you will start to realise just how damaging UKIP’s untrustworthy behaviour, squabbling, dishonest6y and lack of gravitas and competence is to the true aims of EUroRealists, though I fully appreciate it is a sound ‘milch cow’ for fulfillment of personal ambitions of gain, self enrichment and glory for some who would not make it in either the Tory party or Labour; particularly now that Nigel Farage has over £17Million tyo use to reward his praise singers and goffers.

The main difference between what you are doing and what the majority are striving for is most baffling because the belief that we should be out of the EU seems to be the common aim. I fail to understand why you persist in rubbishing everything that is done by UKIP and it’s many genuine members and the squabbles of a few that play hard and fast within and outside the party. Ukip is the only possible political representative of the anti EU campaign although I fully appreciate that there are many other good organisations that are equally anti but do not appear on the surface to favour any one political party. i.e. Bruges Group, Get Britain Out Campaign, Tax payers Alliance etc. So what are we all trying to achieve if not the same thing. I’m fully aware of Flexit, Brexit, Article 50, the Norway Option and even those who don’t believe that we even need a referendum but rather just an act of parliament to reverse what was signed away in 1971 with the treaty of Rome. All these options are viable and in terms of considered judgement they all have their merits.
What strikes me with the two main approaches are the differences used either by you and others like Richard North who continually attempt to defame and rubbish UKIP and those on the other hand that are trying to make UKIP electable. The majority of British voters do not understand nor particularly care about all things EU as I am finding out whilst campaigning in East Sussex. They are however showing all the signs of total dissatisfaction with the three establish parties which is not surprising. I had not been politically active for over thirty years until I joined UKIP 18 months ago and so it transpires have many others. We are motivated to seize the political initiative from the LIBLABCONS and hope to do so to some extent next May. What is so inexplicable and damaging is the sort of stuff you are continually putting out in some vain attempt to damage what is surely only a force for good. I don’t know what your motivations are and I suspect you are some failed UKIP candidate or party activist from a few years ago that had great hopes that were then dashed when you failed to toe the party line. Discipline in party politics is everything and allegiance to the cause has to be maintained. I left the Tory party 35 years ago simply because I could not adhere to the Heath policies and I have never had any reason to re-join. At the same time I have never had any desire to set up a website specifically to rubbish current or past Tory supporters so perhaps you could explain what your website is really all about.

        • Hi,

as you most adroitly point out at the start of your critique there is a great deal you fail to understand.

Perhaps with a little more study and a sound quest for facts you will sometime start to understand.

In the mean time let me in brief draw your attention to the irrefutable fact that many well informed individuals are well aware that The Farage cult, whether in its extreme racist mode or its strident and offensive and particularly ignorant mode does more harm than ever it does good in the quest to Leave-The-EU.

I look forward to hearing from you when you actually address the issue of leaving the EU in a rather better informed manner, when you realise the harm done by the low grade ill informed and irresponsible Farage Cult is eventually exposed for what it is.

In the interim by all means keep banging your drum to be noticed so that you can try to climb on the gravy train..

Suffice to say I have NEVER been a member of UKIP nor any other political party and have never sought employ nor elected office as a member of any party.

I vote at every election where I am eligible and my vote is cast for that in which I sincerely believe as I do not wish to spoil my ballot paper with a lie supporting anyones political ambitions I write ‘LEAVE-THE-EU’ across my ballot.

I am happy to wish you well in your quest to Leave-The-EU but I can not support your personal ambition to climb on the gravy train.

I trust you will continue to try to learn and thus your eyes will be opened and you will not feel the need to attempt criticiam by opening with a list of that which you ‘fail to understand’.

          Regards,
          Greg_L-W.
