I’ll post the details of the story later as I expect a call from a chum on one of the picture desks and also from within the BBC.
Check Back Later!
I see Nikki Sinclaire has just put this on her blog:
PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday September 7, 2011
FIGHT FOR A REFERENDUM ON EUROPE GOES TO NUMBER10 AS 100,000 DEMAND A SAY
The Prime Minister will come under mounting pressure to hold a referendum on Britain’s EU membership tomorrow (Thurs) when his own MPs march on Downing Street.
“To insist that only an online petition will count would disenfranchise millions of people, particularly the poor and elderly, who do not have an email account or access to a computer.”
The breakthrough is bolstered by a YouGov poll which reveals a clear majority want ordinary people to have the final say on whether we pull out of Europe.
It shows for the first time a majority of people would actually vote to leave the European Union in an referendum.
The poll results will make uncomfortable reading for Mr Cameron with mounting dissatisfaction over Europe on his own benches.
Nikki also pays tribute to the hundreds of people across the country who have helped collate the petition including one gentleman in Dorset who has collected 2,000 signatures. Nikki said “I’m overwhelmed by the level of support and the dedication of these people who truly are an inspiration.”
Ends
Note to Editors.
The Campaign has collected in excess of 70,000 signatures on paper and in excess of 30,000 online at www.haveyoursay.eu
The paper petition forms will be handed in at 10 Downing Street at 11.45pm on Thursday September 8, 2011.
According to the Office of National Statstics report in 2010 9.2 million people have never accessed the internet.

.
Hi,
this discussion from one of the many Forums where I post material opposed to membership of The EU may interest you:
I agree.
However, even if people haven’t got computers we can’t hold progress up.
Computers are part of our lives and they won’t go away.
We must adapt to modern society or we will be left behind.
All kids at school are computer literate, with the rest of the population following fast.
Over 50s are one of the fastest groups that are jumping on the computer bandwagon.
We must embrace things like ePetition/ modern technology.
Hi,
woopy – subsequent to my last posting I have been sent a copy of a letter I have been awaiting for some days – AGAIN we have The Independent MEP Nikki Sinclaire to thank for this:
This means that her petition of over 100,000 signatures as announced and surprisingly widely published, in view of the fact her schedule was committed to announcement from Smith Square slap bang the day after the civil unrest when all the looters in suits were mumbling and squeeeeeling at the thought of competition from the proles.
This letter solves all problems as it can thus be an ‘e’petition on the .gov site AND a paper addition.
With Parliament resitting watch out for the presentation of the petition shortly and on a totally cross party basis.
I believe we all owe Nikki Sinclaire for her efforts – have you signed her petition? It can be signed on line OR on paper as the letter above shows – in fact her office is transposing all ePetition data onto paper and I gather an outside agency is erradicating duplicates and collating the data under strict data protection terms.
This letter now to hand I hear that Thursday will be likely to be the next ratchet turn 😉
Obviously the YouGov Poll was hugely significant and now the aim is to go on to yet more signatures to ensure no one tries to duck out on the Government benches when a Referendum becomes inevitable now, especially as well over 70% of Tory voters want a referendum on In/Out with regard to the EU, and embarrassingly the Judas Goats approved by the Tories as Plastic EUrosceptics with their other ‘PLEDGE’ Polls have rather lost control with, I gather, less than 50,000 signatures and I am given to understand some 30,000 of those are merely recycled and laundered Democracy Movement signatures though this is I concede hear say from the previous referendum that was given them!
Interestingly I gather on various technicalities The Express signatures are invalid as the poll was not carried out properly, or so I hear. However I doubt Mr. Despond will be giving praise to Nikki as we all know she is not a pornographers lap dog and seeks only relevant and serious publicity – hence her achievements.
She can in all fairness now say she has actually achieved, laterly with Mike Nattrass & Trevor Colman once they left Farage’s control and thus The EFD, they have achieved more in real terms than UKIP has done in all its 18 years of self enrichment and posturing for its leadership!
At least every single signature on Sinclaire’s Petition is genuine and her ad vans etc. have paid off – even if she is hoping for donations to help her fund them!!!
See her site CLICK HERE and sign up to the future 😉
Thanks.
Regards,
Greg_L-W.

A Surprise In This Hugely Saturated News Period, with Civil Unrest & Extreme Vandalism!
.
MPs could be forced into an historic vote on Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union after campaigners gathered enough supporters to trigger a debate.
A petition demanding a straight vote on whether the UK should stay in or leave the EU has attracted more than 100,000 signatures.
It comes as a new YouGov poll published today reveals for the first time that a majority of British people would vote to leave the EU if there was a referendum.
Forced conversation: MPs could be made to debate withdrawing from the European Union after a petition demanding a straight vote attracted more than 100,000 signatures
It found that some 60 per cent of voters want a referendum on whether Britain should remain a member of the EU.
If there was a vote, 52 per cent would vote to leave, with only 30 per cent preferring to stay in. Of those polled, 15 per cent were undecided and four per cent would not bother to vote.
EU membership costs Britain £48million a day – or £4,912 per household.
The last time the UK held a vote on Britain’s withdrawal from the EU was in 1975, when just over 67 per cent of voters chose to stay in the union following a national referendum.
Prime Minister David Cameron has promised that MPs will dedicate House of Commons time to debating any issue which has the support of at least 100,000 people.
The mountain of signatures has been gathered by independent West Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire.
MEP: Nikki Sinclaire gathered 100,000 signatures by a mix of pen-and-ink and electronic means
Miss Sinclaire said: ‘Clearly the people of Britain want to decide who governs Britain.
‘It must be alarming to the government that despite all their assurances on sovereignty and cast iron promises, more and more people have given up on this European project.
‘This argument has gone on far too long, we must decide our course once and for all in a binding referendum.’
Miss Sinclaire has gathered 70,000 handwritten signatures as well as 30,000 electronic ones.
Last week, the Government launched a new e-petitions website which allows members of the public to set up their own petitions and sign existing ones.It has paved the way for MPs to be forced into landmark votes on controversial issues including the death penalty, ending mass migration and legalising cannabis.
Commons leader Sir George Young has warned that MPs cannot ignore the popular groundswell.
But critics warned that the e-petitions would allow the Commons to be hijacked by special interest campaigns and will mean MPs spending precious Parliamentary time on proposals that have little or no chance of becoming law.
Miss Sinclaire fears that the Government will brush off her attempts to force a debate as most of her signatures have been gathered by hand.
However, Sir George has signalled that indicated that a traditional pen-and-ink petition could be lodged with the backbench business committee if it has one or more MPs sponsoring it.
The independent MEP will tell a London press conference today: ‘This is an encouraging development and raises the prospect of an early debate on our continued membership of the EU.
‘To insist that only an online petition will count would disenfranchise millions of people, particularly the poor and elderly, who do not have an email account or access to a computer.‘The huge response to our campaign, together with the findings of our poll, show that most people want their say.’

MOST people would vote for Britain to leave the EU in a referendum, an independent poll reveals today.
In the biggest sign yet that public opinion is rallying against the UK’s membership, 52 per cent of voters said they want to leave the European Union.
Only 30 per cent said they wanted to remain in the EU, according to the YouGov poll.
And six out of 10 people want to have the final say on whether we pull out.
The poll compiled for the Campaign for a Referendum, piles further pressure on David Cameron to hold the first referendum on Europe since 1975.
Nikki Sinclaire, who runs the campaign, said: “This is an encouraging development and raises the prospect of an early debate on our continued membership of the EU.
“Almost eight in 10 people want a national debate on the pros and cons of EU membership.”
Only 30 per cent said they wanted to remain in the EU, according to the YouGov poll.![]()
“The huge response to our campaign, together with the findings of our poll, show that most people want their say.”
The Independent MEP, added: “Clearly the people of Britain want to decide who governs Britain. It must be alarming to the Government that despite all their assurances on sovereignty and cast-iron promises, more and more people have given up on this European project. This argument has gone on far too long, we must decide our course once and for all in a binding referendum.”
Analysis shows that EU membership costs Britain £48 million a day, which amounts to £4,912 per household over the last 11 years.
The results of today’s poll adds further weight to the Daily Express petition to force a Commons debate on leaving the EU.
All demands which get at least 100,000 signatures on the Government’s new e-petition site will have to be considered for a debate in Parliament.
Before the official launch of the site, the Daily Express had already gathered 75,000 signatures backing the call for a referendum which we established on our own website. We are pressing the Government to add those names to the official petition on its site, which itself is already approaching the 10,000 mark.
Readers who added their names to our original petition on http://www.express.co.uk can expect to receive an email in the next few days from the official e-petition site requesting their permission for their names to be added.
Just click on the link you receive by email and your signature will be transferred to the official Government petition.Joining our campaign will force the country’s politicians to discuss an issue that is gathering momentum as Britain bails out failing eurozone states.

The campaign for a referendum on Britain’s EU membership is given a double boost today. (Tues)
A petition demanding a straight “in or out” vote has now attracted more than 100,000 signatures – which should be enough to force a Commons debate.
The breakthrough is bolstered by a new YouGov poll which reveals a clear majority want ordinary people to have the fInal say on whether we pull out.
For the first time the YouGov poll shows a majority of people would actually vote to leave the European Union in an referendum.
The mountain of signatures has been collected in a cross-party campaign led by West Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire.
It will pile pressure on the Prime Minister to hold the first referendum on Europe since 1975.
Mr Cameron has pledged to dedicate House of Commons time to any issue which has the support of at least 100,000 people.
While he insists the names must be collected on individually entered electronic petitions, the Commons Leader’s office has indicated that a traditional pen-and-ink petition could be lodged with the backbench business committee if it has one or more MPs sponsoring it.
Nikki will tell a London Press conference today:
“This is an encouraging development and raises the prospect of an early debate on our continued membership of the EU – Almost eight in ten people want a national debate on the pros and cons of EU membership”
“To insist that only an online petition will count would disenfranchise millions of people, particularly the poor and elderly, who do not have an email account or access to a computer.“The huge response to our campaign, together with the findings of our poll, show that most people want their say.”
Today’s poll shows overwhelming support for letting the public decide our future in the EU – and if they got their way they would vote to pull out.
Some 60% of voters want a referendum on whether Britain should remain a member of the EU, according to the YouGov survey commissioned by Nikki’s campaign.
If there was a vote, a massive 52% would vote to leave, with only 30% preferring to stay in and 15% undecided and 4% not bothering to vote.
Nikki, an independent MEP, added:
“Clearly the people of Britain want to decide who governs Britain. It must be alarming to the government that despite all their assurances on sovereignty and cast iron promises, more and more people have given up on this European project. This argument has gone on far too long, we must decide our course once and for all in a binding referendum”
MPs are already facing demands to debate bring back hanging after 100,000 backed the move in an e-petition.
But Nikki points out that Britain is powerless to restore the death penalty while still in the EU because it would breach the UK’s membership conditions by breaching the EU’s Fundemental Charter on human rights.
She believes we get the worst of both worlds while inside the EU but outside the EUroZone.
“We have one foot in and one foot outside it,” she said. “This is detrimental to our interests and to those of the EU, both politically and economically. We need to take a decision as to where our future lies.
“Despite numerous promises, nobody under the age of 54 has ever had a say on Britain’s relationship with the EU. This issue needs to be resolved.”
EU membership costs Britain £48 million a day – or £4,912 per household over the last 11 years.
But we have signed away power to decide our own future, with 75 per cent of British regulation coming from EU law.
Nikki also pays tribute to the hundreds of people across the country who have helped collate the petition including one gentleman in Dorset who has collected 2,000 signatures. Nikki said
“I’m overwhelmed by the level of support and the dedication of these people who truly are an inspiration.”

Press coverage in a number of papers was earlier promised I hear but with tonight’s mindless and moronic violence British Patriots may be disapointed by the sensationalism of the media!
.
congratulations to UKIP member and Independent MEP Nikki Sinclaire – it was great to see the progress with the Petition for an EU Referendum Campaign which she launched and now has The Sun also involved.
Thank you SUN readers!
I presume these letters include some full sheets of signatures that some may have downloaded and are vetted to remove duplication, as with the initial 100,000.
I trust the signatures on line have also grown significantly.
Good luck with the massive mail out of 65,000 magazines when that happens.
Well done to Mike Nattrass & Trevor Colman as MEPs ex EFD for having contributed to help.
It was sad to see the rump Faragistas all trying to run flack by supporting the rather muddled Express campaign which seems to have run into a sand trap!
Today Nikki Sinclaire’s office was extremely busy answering calls about the campaign with huge media interest.
All of this obviously costs a great deal of money and has been utterly dependent on donations by Nikki Sinclaire herself and her supporters.
I’m fairly sure any donations to help pay for adverts or to keep the ad vans on the raod would be more than welcome!
It looks as if tomorrow will be a big day in the media with the results but let us as Patriots working for withdrawal from The EU hope that neither the unrest in London nor the petty band wagon jumpers try to harm this initiative which has done so well.

it is increasingly clear that desperate situations call for desperate measures and clearly The EU and thus The ECB are increasingly becoming desperate!
What is sad is that David Cameron so clearly supports membership of this failed EUropean Union as shown in his letter as posted some time ago at: CLICK HERE
I had thought to fisk the letter but felt that readers would see through the many glaring loopholes wi8thout help!
I note the Express paper’s petition has run into some difficulty as neither The Express nor Farage as they jumped on the band wagon seem to have actually considered the legalities and their petition seems to be invalid!
Many will remember when UKIP leadership seemingly trousered some £1/4Million on a petition they failed to ensure was valid some time ago – will they never learn, or is it deliberate either as a money spinner for the leadership or just to assist The EU in an attempt to try to undermine the Petition for a Referendum campaign as featured not just in The Express as with Farage’s belated self publicity but the Nikki Sinclaire Petition campaign has had publicity in The Mirror, The Sun, The Telegraph, The Mail and many more and has reached its first target of 100,000 valid signatures as discussed in detail; with Parliament and the Downing Street officials with dates set for presentation already.
Meanwhile The Express seems to have run off course into a sand trap with Farage’s Party as a pasenger hitching a ride!
You will note that Cameron confirms that until 2013 Britain will assist in bailing out the EUro!! So we will be forced into the collapse but with no say! He boasts of a Bill that will be put to Parlaim, ent to ensure a referendum if the EU demands more authority is ceded – on the one hand he repudiates referendum and then enacts them through parliament – Flip Flop Policy?
Then we are assured he has read and understood neither The ECA nor The Lisbon Treaty in which it makes clear there is no authority of substance at Westminster and Sovereignty on all matters of consequence are already EU authorities.
7 August 2011 – Statement by the President of the ECB
1. The Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) welcomes the announcements made by the governments of Italy and Spain concerning new measures and reforms in the areas of fiscal and structural policies. The Governing Council considers a decisive and swift implementation by both governments as essential in order to substantially enhance the competitiveness and flexibility of their economies, and to rapidly reduce public deficits.
2. The Governing Council underlines the importance of the commitment of all Heads of State or Government to adhere strictly to the agreed fiscal targets, as reaffirmed at the euro area summit of 21 July 2011. A key element is also the enhancement of the growth potential of the economy.
3. The Governing Council considers essential the prompt implementation of all the decisions taken at the euro area summit. In this perspective, the Governing Council welcomes the joint commitment expressed by Germany and France today.
4. The Governing Council attaches decisive importance to the declaration of the Heads of State or Government of the euro area in the inflexible determination to fully honour their own individual sovereign signature as a key element in ensuring financial stability in the euro area as a whole.
5. It equally considers fundamental that governments stand ready to activate the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) in the secondary market, on the basis of an ECB analysis recognising the existence of exceptional financial market circumstances and risks to financial stability, once the EFSF is operational.
6. It is on the basis of the above assessments that the ECB will actively implement its Securities Markets Programme. This programme has been designed to help restoring a better transmission of our monetary policy decisions – taking account of dysfunctional market segments – and therefore to ensure price stability in the euro area.

#0614* – INDEPENDENT MEP & UKIP Member RECRUITS FOOTBALL!
.
.
A local politician has taken unprecedented steps to support all of her local non-Premier League teams in the 2011/2012 season.Independent MEP Nikki Sinclaire has taken up sponsorship deals with 13 league and non-league football teams in her constituency, from the Championship to the Blue Square North, in a bid to back league football across the region.
As a huge football fan, Nikki has decided to show her support to the teams in her constituency and has arranged a number of sponsorship deals which will cement her as a politician who is fully behind local football. One player from each of the teams will now be sponsored by Nikki Sinclaire for the season, and Nikki and her team are hoping that further links can be formed with the clubs throughout the season. Other planned sponsorship deals include match day sponsorships and match ball sponsorships.Nikki will use some of the corporate benefits of the sponsorship packages to raise money for charity.Since being elected as one of six MEP’s for the West Midlands region in 2009, Nikki Sinclaire has campaigned on a number of local issues including jobs, training, protection of greenbelt land and preservation of local communities.Nikki Sinclaire is delighted to be working with the various local clubs and said “Football is one of the bedrocks of our community and engages people of all ages. I think this is a worthwhile endeavour and wish all the West Midlands clubs success for the forthcoming season”.

It is a shame that there are very clear Judas Goats seeking to attack genuine effort on behalf of the Tory Party and in support of The EU – it will surprise few this seems to be the very same people bought and paid for by The EU as they campaign for membership of PEPPs and the destruction of National Political Parties!
.
Interestingly having put a large amount of her own money into the campaign we notice that Nikki Sinclaire has around 85,000 signatures and some of these have already been delivered under Parliamentary rules as the firts part of the petition to The Speaker’s Chair.
Others have copied her and even copied the name to try to gain cudos from her achievements and they have been made whilst under almost constant attack from The EU in the form of their agents in EUkip – who have defamed her, lied about her and eventually after being subject to a Guilty verdict in The Courts were forced to publicly apologise to stave off costly High Court Action for the time being – even then these supporters of the Gravy Train and their own snouts in the trough lack the ethics or the morality not to continue their childish antics.
May I congratulate Mike Nattrass, trevor Colman, Kate Hoey, Austin Mitchell, Richard Sheppard, Phillip Hollobone, David Bannerman and many other cross party members for their efforts and support of this campaign for a referendum which belatedly Dan Hannan and other friends of the EU such as Bob crow and his ilk plus many feeding at the troughs have decided to copy to try to help the EU and their income stream by trying to sabotage the campaign just as they tried with The Peoples’ Pledge.
Farcical wasn’t it to watch a gaggle of useless politicians so upset that they were not trusted to run The Peoples’ Pledge that they went off in a huff to try to help the EU by copying it.
The Judas Goat is a long established subterfuge!
