I was amused by a spot of lampoon that landed in my inbox early this morning which emmanates from Robbie in Switzerland:

My friend, who is in politics at the moment, recently received a cheque for £5,000 from the NEC for not fielding candidates.
I would now like to join the “not fielding candidates” business. In your opinion, what is the best kind of constituency not to field candidates in and which is the best breed of candidates not to field? I want to be sure I approach this endeavour in keeping with all government policies, as dictated by the Representation of the People Act etc.
I would prefer not to field Scottish candidates, but if this is not the type you want not fielding, I will just as gladly not field Cornish ones. Are there any advantages in not fielding famous candidates such as Kilroys or Winston McKenzies, or are there too many partys already not fielding these? As I see it, the hardest part of this programme will be keeping an accurate record of how many candidates I haven’t fielded for the Electoral Commission. Are there any Government or Local Authority courses on this?
Incidentally, I wonder if I would be eligible to receive tradable carbon credits for all these candidates not producing harmful and polluting leaflets and hot air?
In view of the above, you will realise that I will be totally unemployed, and will therefore qualify for unemployment benefits. I shall of course be voting for your party at the next general election.

How depressingly true but not un-natuarally in pure conceit I much prefer my version of about 10 years ago, which in itself was an adaptation from an idea sent me from Arkansas!

Knowing what we do now about Elliot Morley I wonder if he set this scam up for himself and his Labour colleagues?
TO LEAVE THE EU
What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples – they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.
NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.
Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.
The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU’s CAP – In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING!
To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we thus leave our children and the future, with shame!
