THINKING OUT LOUD & MUSING ON STUPIDITY – JUST HOW TO SAVE UKIP!
Hi,
Clearly Farage’s utter predictability in returning to lead the party from the shadows is perfectly understandable – hence we predicted it some time ago.
He will hardly want to be the leader answering to his own lies as leader when he claimed he had removed Tom Wise when clearly he had done nothing of the sort – this is likely to come up when Lindsay Jenkins and Tom Wise are on trial in November.
Also clearly Farage can side step inquizition into his dishonesty relative to The Electoral Commission trial due soon (El.Com. expect an answer on format and what additional charges they may make this month!)
It is also clear that Farage does not want to get bogged down in the thing he is so very bad at detail for the General Election – he has his own interests to pander to.
Further it is clear that since Farage had led EUkip to ignominy with not a single MEP elected on merit but on protest against Westminster scams The GE is likely to collapse back to EUkip’s normal 2-5% – Farage would hardly wish to carry that can!
Further by seizing the Berkow seat, seemingly without the courtesy of talking to the incumbent candidate (bit like that clown Nutless did to the hard working and loyal Derby candidate he merely dumped!). Then again I doubt Farage had sufficient belief in democracy to consider the branch or the courtesy to consult.
Clearly he had no respect for the party as the first the NEC knew of it was reading it in the press! Well EUkip is the Farage Party after all!
Then of course be minded that any new puppet leader will be dependent on Farage who will control the purse strings, the policy, the South East, The Staff, the meeeja, the Press Office, The MEPs – need I go on!
Of course since a new leader would need to try to lead by example they will be shunted off to yield some derisory result in their own constituency far from the public eye as PPC whilst Farage holds the plumb seat he has taken relative to all the Westminster bubble comment and commentary.
You will recal to launch his anti Holdsworth campaign he had senior executives on the NEC telloing lies and cheating on his behalf and the sordid little press office as it was then doing likewise. Do be minded that it was mandatory for ALL ROs and NEC members and any aspirant member of the party to pitch up in Bromley to help him and over £100,000 was syphoned into the campaign thus costing (as I recal) some £68 per extra vote and even then his result was risible but since the aim was to launch himself to stuff any hope of Holdsworth leading and making the party transparent and accountable.
OK having pulled this oh so predictable stunt let me first deal with something rather off that topic and relatively predictable Indeed quite obviously the BBC motion fell as it was clearly not just foolish but ultra vires founded on a totally false understanding of the law – it is to be hoped that someone with a brain stepped in to hit that on the head.
In fact Niall Warry was incredibly fortunate to win his case against paying a TV License which for all his puff and certainty John Kelly predictably lost – he was fortunate not to have faced punative damages or payment for EACH year he has refused to pay! The debt is NOT to The BBC – they sell their legal interest to a collection agency against whom one has no legitimate complaint!
PR – that is a loser as a concept as it provides democracy for no one and since the incumbent parasites at Westminster came fptp or secondptp they will not be granting an in by changing the rules to let in competitors in any hurry – neither should the electorate wish them to as it distances the MP from direct responsibility to the electorate.
Smoking – this is the populist fag end of this argument and of little consequence as publicans have for a number of years been commercially coimmitting suicide in their droves whilst the number of on licenses has risen. The time has come for these outdated and rather unpleasant places that publicans have turned their places into were largely closed down not just staggered to closure. Smoking bans have provided a wonderful excuse for bad businessmen to fail. Pubs are now largely unpleasant places to be and there is no value in harking after a golden era.
Might that be when we saw barefoot children outside pubs with a bag of chips in all weathers whilst the parent drank themselves to a standstill inside – or the children in a queue peering over the bar top by the hatch in ‘The Off’ filling a jug to take home for Father!
But of course it is a very good populist, though far from popular, campaign to keep Farage in the public eye – whether it benefits the party in any way when there are more important matters is a different case since it undermines any pretence at gravitas.
Living up to prediction Nikki Sinclaire broke ranks – albeit with rather too little courage (more another day 😉 , however her announcement of intent to donate around £20,000 to the party being about 1/3 of her net salary was a good move if far short of her net gain as an MEP. Well Done.
Might that have been, as I predicted the first falterring steps of a challenge for leadership? Do not forget such a challenge would not be against Farage, albe it against his wishes as it may make life for his puppet difficult and complicate his running of the party from the shadows.
Although I did believe that thje Gongs dispensed at the conference should have gone to the people who had done most to get EUkip MEPs elected whilst Farage was working so hard to raise the profile of the BNP to stir some publicity as the natural choice amongst those using The BNP as a threat. Arguably without Farage’s efforts to raise The BNP profile even with Croucher with his vexatious and mischiefous corruption of the Courts to raise the BNP profile and his promises to fund the extreme left wing pro EU scum of Searchlight – as a further way to raise the BNP’s profile and get them publicity.
BNP supporters have a great deal to thank Farage and Croucher for as without their help they may well not have got a single seat – consider how well they did in the only Parliamentary by election since!!!
I had suggested that the gongs went to those who had done the most to get EUkip MEPs elected, namely the Red Labour & Blue Labouir MPs with the grossest and most publicised abuse of expenses – the line ‘I only took what I was entitled to’ was catastrophic for Westminster Politicians.
In default I must say I was very pleased to see Sonia Porter receive a Gong for her sterling work for UKIP over many years – she must be so very sad that it all became something of a can of worms under Farage’s failed leadership. But well done Sonia.
One has to wonder what induced Farage to so closely emmulate the Westminster thieves useing that line ‘I only took what I was entitled to’ when challenged on TV over the £2Million he admitted to trousering to Dennis McShane and the Press Club tape recorders!
I was astonished that Farage came out with such an implausible line on TV but he went on to compound it as you may have noticed.
When challenged that his position standing against Berkow on the grounds of cleaning up politics was a bit rich in view of his having trousered at least £2,000,000 and when was he going to publish his expenses to which he said he couldn’t because he hadn’t kept the paper work!!!
So the leader of EUkip is so profligate with other peoples’ money he hasn’t a clue what happened to at least £2M. Yeah!!!
Well the interviewer spotted that one and questioned further and Farage then said he wouldn’t publish unless The EU ordered him to! That should be interesting either he has the paperwork or he was telling lies – one can only speculate which!!! I do wonder if they are on the verge of doing just this – passing the file on him, having completed their end of the enquiry, back to the British authorities perhaps for inclusion in the El.Com. case.
It has been clear for some time that either EUkip’s aaccounts are a fraudullent fabrication or Nigel Farage has been stealing money from the party in huge amounts – there seems no via media and there are many 100s of £1,000s seemingly unaccounted – if not further £millions.
Is this why he stood down?
Another item where praise was due was to little Harry Aldridge who manfully pecked away at his lap top to give something of a live blog for the two days – though managing to make a staggeringly lack lustre conference seem interesting was a task clearly beyond his willingness to spin and deceive. Congratulations for the effort and your dedication in fighting the technology!!
Minded of the battle of the castrati that is about to ensue to see who will become the EUnoch in the harem dancing to his master’s tune there is only one hope for UKIP in this utter debacle, where at least Farage had the courage to admit he had made a mess of leadership all be it in an off hand manner.
The window of opportunity if UKIP is to have a future would seem to be rather less than a week and the 14th. may be too late! It has all been allowed to slide rather and be minded that Jenkins & Wise surrender to bail again and apear briefly in Court on the 11th. & YES that is not only significant but very significant.
I await developements! It is all running on rails as predicted with political near certainty so far!
Farage was bound to bluster and flounce and let down even his own supporters – he betrayed the party for personal gain last year at conference you will remember with the lack lustre hung over speech and the drivel Fuller forced him to endorse in the meeeja.
This time it was the abject failure to tell his own people he was going to do the patently bloody obvious political side step to gain the lime light. Just how stupid are EUkip’s executive !! Don’t answer we know!
TO LEAVE THE EU
What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.
NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.
Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.
The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU’s CAP – In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING!
To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we leave our children and the future, with shame!
