MIGHT UKIP be at RISK of a SEAT in Monmouthshire & Wales?Even more intriguingly if they do scrape in might that be a disaster for EUroRealism in view of the calliber UKIP fielded!!

Hi,
It looks to me as if UKIP would be in with around 7% of the vote on top up, in any one of the 5 areas, but with such spectaculary lack luster candidates who to a man are politically poorly informed it seems unlikely.
That said John Bufton got in and that was clearly not based on political understanding or speech making ability. Nor even keeping abreast of issues.
Further harm is done to UKIP’s prospects in Wales by the offensive and beligerent nauture of their Regional Organiser Kevin Mahonney who has worked so hard to abuse and offend UKIP supporters in Monmouthshire and Wales and even beyond.
UKIP’s presence has not been helped by its abject failure to keep its people informed and its dire web site, which at one time this year was over 3 months out of date, and it was not until this blog and also Junius highlighted the fact that someone in Wales woke up!
It has become increasingly clear that John Bufton besides the collapse in his health has had a crisis in faith with regard to UKIP’s new stance as supporters of racism, xenophobia, anti Judaism and violent anti homosexuality and it has reach such a stage that John Bufton as a withdrawalist was unwilling to join his party leader and the rag tag that forms his own Welsh committee for the launch of the UKIP campaign.
John clearly does not believe in the vaulte face of policy to supporting reform for the EU.
It is also risible that whilst UKIP not only espouse paper candidates to reach the mere 1,200 or so thery are standing in Britain they are happy to insult the electorate by placing a schoolgirl as their proposed candidate for Mayor to oversee the £Billion Budget of that city and deliver services via one of the East Midlands largest employers Leicester Council!
Meanwhile in
Wales the exact opposite course is taken to not present a single solitary candidate but just a few pool candidates for indirect election on top up votes – the two policies are clearly mutually exclusive!
I have my doubts whether UKIP stands any chance of a candidate being elected – clearly it deserves none on its track record – also it is worth considering in the light of the irrefutable fact it has not fielded anyone of competence, gravitas, stature or charisma whether EUroRealism’s long term interests are best served by avoiding the risk of embarrassment that the likely candidates may heap on UKIP.
We have seen the damage done to UKIP’s credibility with the crass ineptitude of such as Wee Willy Dartmouth, David Bannerman, Tom Wise, Godfrey Bloom, Stuart Agnew, Derek Clark, Nigel Farage and the duplicitous Marta Andreasen and the false loyalty of John Wittaker and Paul Nuttall – particularly in their support of The Pan EUPolitical Party EFD Group – merely prostituting principles and ethics for perceived cash!
WALES
National Assembly elections
This is the first poll since 2007, after which Labour formed a coalition with Plaid Cymru.
As in Scotland, voters will be required to fill in two separate ballot papers.
Forty Assembly Members (AMs) will be elected from single constituencies under first-past-the-post. The second ballot will be used to elect four AMs from each of five electoral regions under a party list.
There have been no major boundary changes since 2007.
The new Assembly will have direct law-making powers in 20 devolved areas, such as health and education, after voters backed the move in a referendum in March.
Local council elections are due to take place next year.
