Nikki Sinclaire MEP launches her “Claim Your Refund” EU funding guide
We Demand a Referendum Now MEP Nikki Sinclaire has launched her latest guide – this time for West Midlands businesses to access EU funding.
Entitled “Claiming Your Refund”, Ms Sinclaire argues that as net contributors to the European Union, any EU funding given to West Midlands businesses is simply a refund of the money we are giving to the European Union.
The new guide gives signposts for various funding available from the European Union and gives guidance on where to start to access this money.
The EU provides funding in the form of loans and grants for a broad range of projects andprogrammes covering areas such as education, health, consumer protection and environmental protection. There are also huge grants available in the field of ICT.
Nikki Sinclaire said,
“As a member of the EU’s employment committee, I’m in a privileged position in that I get to speak to many West Midlands SME’s and they tell me that even accessing information about EU funding guidelines can prove to be very difficult.
I am the only West Midlands MEP who has produced a hard copy of this information and I want as many businesses to start reclaiming the money back.
There are directives deriven from the European Parliament that directly cost West Midlands businesses money – it is only right that I sign post them on ways to get it back!”
The MEP, who covers the West Midlands Euro region (West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire) would also like to meet as many businesses and social projects as possible,
She added,
“It is not only businesses that could benefit from EU funding. There are avenues for social projects to access funding – the difficulty is finding the information. I hope my latest information guide can point people in the right direction”.
